Secondly, you couldn't see the cheese. Also, the tomatoes they put on the nacho was just ONE SLICE of a tomato, not cut up tomatoes, but a single slice of a tomato. When you order nachos you expect a lot of cheese and the thrill of a pull and seeing cheese. No salsa on it, no onions, nothing; just cheap cheese and ground beef. Absolutely disappointing. The enchiladas I had had a sauce that you can absolutely tell came from a can. I'm sorry, I really am. But how can nachos be disappointing? At least put them onto the oven and broil them so the chips are crunchy. I hope they succeed, I really do. But IVE NEVER not finished enchiladas or nachos; I had to stop eating them. PRO: the atmosphere is good and staff were VERY friendly. But please, please, the food was not good. I hope they learn to make nachos better and improve their sauce and enchiladas. I definitely looked like it was microwaved. I wish them luck, truly.

They made is tableside and it was delicious. It would have been better if the ingredients setup didnt block our view but not a big deal. Everyone mostly enjoyed their food and drinks. The margaritas and bar drinks were excellent. My son loved his texas fajitas. My husband and other son loved their vegetarian combo plates. I ordered shrimp & scallops fajitas. My bad for not asking whether they were sea or bay scallops. They were tiny overcooked, rubbery, bay scallops that were fishy and inedible, but the shrimp and all the sides (beans, grilled onions &peppers, tortillas, etc) were all very tasty. The service was funny. We were seated and served very quickly. They did tableside guacamole very well and refilled our chips & salsa. They brought our entrees quickly as well... then they never came back. I was fine that they didnt check in with us but we had to wait forever to get a check. I'd definitely come back. They got all the hard stuff right... next time skip the scallops (but really, how dumb was i for ordering scallops in a Mexican restaurant?) Lol.

There's a lot to like here: courteous and attentive staff, A spacious dining room with the Mexican colors splashed across the wall, and that menu! Tacos, gorditas, burritos, sopas, tortas, and even agua frescas. This is as authentic as a menu gets. And the price point? Incredibly affordable, which is a big deal in today's inflationary world. Unfortunately this is where the happy story is cut short. I ordered two of the more popular items on the menu, carne asada and Al pastor tacos. Also added a side of rice and beans. The flavors simply fell short. It honestly felt like not a single thing presented to me was seasoned. The steak featured in the carne asada, which I was most looking forward to, was quite chewy. Even the complimentary chips and dip were underwhelming. I've had some amazing Mexican food, especially of late. El Primo Taquireas is a decent choice for price and lack of Mexican options in the area, but a forgettable experience overall. Really a 2.5 but rounding up for benefit of the doubt.

On a good note, the cashier was very pleasant. Our food came out timely , I was disappointed with the food, very bland, the rice was chopped up and my carnitas dry.
