First time dining here on way from beach to home. Street parking on a chilly Saturday night around 7p wasn't too bad and there are parking lots nearby from what I looked up. Service was good, attentive. We sat in the bar area as the dining room was full. Unfortunately the only table was next to some very boisterous clientele, but once they left as we were almost done eating, it was much better. TVs everywhere, so watching any game was possible. Food was good. I had the Maryland Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was spicy and the old bay addition was a unique but enjoyable flavor add. Been here a handful of times. Love the bar- super cozy. The food was great! For our apps- we had the Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese dip & honey mustard dip. We also had the mozzarella sticks & mariners sauce. Both were delicious! For our meals I had the French dip, it was pretty good needed more flavor. We were in the Easton area for a wedding recently & decided to go into the downtown area for lunch before the ceremony started. We popped into Doc's due to the reviews we had read online, and it did not disappoint! I loved all of the Christmas decorations set up around the old timey local pub atmosphere, and service was surprisingly fast (especially given how busy they were). Doc's has a decent draft list as well, which is totally fitting for the pub vibe. Regarding the food, it was also quite good! I got a crab cake sandwich (had to do it while in Maryland!), and the crab cake was super crabby (not always a given!) & served on a perfectly toasted bun with delicious french fries on the side. Most drinks were on average $10-13 I had a Whipped Cream Crush - Yummy. and a Martini. We were driving through and saw how highly this restaurant was rated. Decided to check it out. Apparently it was decoy festival weekend. Lots of young people having fun and enjoying the evening f. It was packed, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress was so busy, but she was efficient and fast. We had oysters, salad, and drinks. Everything was outstanding! Oysters were perfect. Food seemed good but was very oily. All of it was just too heavy. Service was terrible. My partner agreed that our waitress was treating the table next to us better, god knows why. I feel horrible but I actually had to tip poorly because that was the amount of effort I felt I was given by the restaurant. 1.5 stars After reading the reviews, I thought this would be a good spot to grab some food. A burger w/ 3 toppings was $25+. We also ordered 2 orders of tacos- blackened rockfish & shrimp. Nothing great about either order. The cole slaw was awful! Tasted like raw cabbage with no dressing (oil or mayo) at all. There are other restaurants to choose from. I'd skip this one. I had the blackened tuna BLT which was so delicious, the tuna was not fish and it was cooked a perfect medium rare as I requested. My guests were equally happy with their food. I would give this place three and half. We went there on a Sunday evening. It was pretty busy. We got seated with not too much of a wait though. The servers were nice and friendly. The food however was just ok. We had mozzarella sticks for appetizer. It was very good. I had fish and chips, my husband had Sirloin steak (it was cut in strips). My fish needed some more seasoning, not enough coleslaw or tartar sauce. The chips was good though. My husband said he makes better steak than that. I paid market price but am not sure there were any oysters in there. Overall, I recommend them except for the one thing. I'd give them four and a half stars if that was possible. Great spot with excellent food and capable, professional service. We had some local IPA's (excellent) the Beet and Arugula Salad and the Chicken Chesapeake, both of which were wonderful. A very friendly, helpful waitress and a cozy, pub environment made us feel welcome and at home, even though we live about 2,800 miles to the west. Easton seems to have no shortage of good places to eat, but I'd have no hesitation about returning to Doc's to try some of their other dishes! read more

Horrible service this past Tuesday night. The waitress that was supposed to take our carry out order ignored us after she stated that she was coming back to take our order. She walked passed us a least 5-7 times within 15 min. Then when we asked her can she take our order she responded very rudely I will when I get a minute. I have been to Doc's several times but I have never been treated like this. We had to ask the cook to get a waitress to take our order. It took 1hour before we got our food. The food... the kitchen was very accommodating and I have a love of rockfish and they were nice enough to substitute out (for a fee) their normal fish for rockfish. The tacos were delicious and the slaw paired so well with it. The hot crab dip with warm pretzels was a hit. And the crab cake sandwich since we had just asked for the bun to be cut, the kitchen went a step further and made us two mini crab cakes instead of one giant one we had to cut. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. Everything was clean and tidy. The service was nice, although they only had one person taking orders. I got the sirloin steak and it looked good upfront, but when I flipped over the strip, it was over cooked. It seemed like instead of cooking a whole piece of steak and then slicing it, everything was pre sliced and they just warmed it up, so it was kind of a let down, the sauce was pretty good though, and the other items that come with it was good, but maybe cook the sprouts a little longer. My wife got the fish and chips and said it was just okay, but the kids Mac and cheese seemed good. My kid liked it. Overall I'd probably come back, but skip the steak. read more

The bartender complained out loud as she waddled to the kitchen for some actual wing sauce that must cost extra because it didn't seem to make it to my wings. Good grief... go somewhere else and enjoy a nice meal because it's not here. As it's mentioned, I actually have been to this restaurant before. I actually left a nice review. I did JOKE about the bread pudding having nuts and not raisins then ordered it anyway... leaving over 20% tip every time. If walking twenty feet when you just came into work is too much for you when asked for wing sauce for your overpriced meal- maybe you should work from home or possibly not run your pile hole when asked for something that that a customer is expected to pay for. We both started with the cream of crab soup. Delish! Not too thick. Lots of real crab meat. There was some flavor that I could not identify - but it added something good. Maybe a touch on the salty side, but a little bit of cream fixed that. My main course was rockfish topped with crab meat. Rice and asparagus as sides. This was a huge serving. The rockfish was delicious and I could taste the Bay. The crab meat on top was plentiful. A good dish all around. The service was really very good. Tommy was our server. He was friendly, well spoken and FAST!!! He was there when we needed him; not there when we didn't. He could and did answer all our questions about menu items. He is certainly among the best servers I have ever encountered. All around, Doc's Downtown Grille is a solid choice. Charming Easton has a good restaurant here. Although I do enjoy Docs menu, the serving staff lacks immensely, at times. Tell the boy serving to take the toothpick out of his mouth, stop serving "over" people, and maybe try and learn some restaurant etiquette. While we're learning that, learn the menu. Saying "who got the fish (hands the plate over instead of setting it down), ummm I got chicken.....", is not the way to address folks. When you speak to people, let's remember we aren't your 16yr old friends so, show some respect as well. One member of our party had to tell the waitress 4 times that he ordered an Arnold Palmer but she kept bringing just tea. It was really a shame how bad the experience was read more

I came to this location I actually stood in the front waiting for assistance for a while no one ever came up to me someone actually shouted I could go to the bar for pick up. Good thing I called ahead I ordered fish tacos two come in an order they were nice pieces of fish and came on flour tortilla which is actually my preference. There wasn't much to the taco just the fish and a sauce, it could have been seasoned a little more and had more toppings however the fish was cooked well.
