Don't let the name fool you--Rude Burger delivers top-tier service and serious flavor! Yes, the burgers are around $20, but trust me--they're worth every bite. Today, fresh out of a CrossFit workout and hungry, I stopped by thinking I'd grab a burger... but the fish sandwich caught my eye and I had to go for it. Let me tell you--no regrets. The cod was perfectly cooked, and paired with the spicy BBQ sauce, it was next level. I also added onion rings for just $2 more, and they were crispy, golden, and delicious. Sat outside with a refreshing glass of water, enjoying the weather, the food, and the chill vibes. The server was amazing, super friendly, and full of smiles--something I really appreciate after a tough workout. They do have indoor seating, but if the weather's nice, the outdoor seating is the move. Yeah, there might be a fly or two--it's the Eastern Shore life, and I love it. Pro tip: Don't knock the fish sandwich until you try it. You might just find your new favorite.

    Impossible burger and fries

Amazing impossible burger with a generous portion of salty fries. I had to try the smoked ketchup and it didn't disappoint

    Jerky thigh Gogi Gui sandwich.

We were told it would be 15 min on our food, took closer to 40. Not the end of the world. We had two chicken sandwich's and a kids burger. The burger and one chicken sandwich were fine, the Gogi Gui sandwich couldn't have been worse. The thigh was so over cooked and thin it was akin to jerky. The sauce was very mid and not flavorful. 2/10, would not tecomme

The aloha burger was amazing. The tots with the ranch dressing was killer. The lemonade was to die for. Do yourself a favor and stop here

Stopped for lunch on a Friday. Very fast and friendly service. We got the build your own burger, smash slider burgers, sweet potato fries, and gourmet sodas. The build your own burger was on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. It was cooked to perfection and you could taste the quality ingredients. So superior to any fast food burger. I also recommend their special sauce, which it is ketchup, mayonnaise, relish, and secret seasonings. The smash sliders were a good value for the money. The sweet potato fries were very good too. They had some different barbecue sauces and a smokey ketchup on the table which we enjoyed trying as well. They had several different gourmet bottled sodas in stock, as well as a full bar with a very large bourbon selection. They have a parking lot which is easy to get into but very difficult to back out of onto the street which is at an intersection and very busy. I would recommend backing into a parking spot if at all possible.

We stopped in with the fam on our way back from Chincoteague. Parking was easy--they have their own small lot. It was a weekday and not too crowded. We found a spot to sit. It was mostly local workers grabbing lunch so we definitely felt a little out of place with our kids. I imagine it's a different vibe on the weekend. Burgers are pricy ($13-14) and they come with a side, but if you want fries it's a dollar up charge. Seizing the opportunity, I got Brussels sprouts instead. They were pretty delicious but don't delude yourself after a long vacation--the way they're prepared, they certainly aren't a health food ;) The Aloha Burger was pretty good and also unique, but it was a little hard to finish because it was so huge and the ingredients caused it to get soggy. I'm curious about the other Rude spots (like the BBQ) as they're definitely a mainstay of Easton. We did enjoy the downtown--it seems like a great place for a day trip, and there's a great walking/biking path nearby.

Aloha burger and build your own burger with onion rings and sweet potato fries.

Bar service is exceptional and they make great cocktails. Food - everything has been well prepared. -I am, like many Marylanders, particular about my crab cakes. These are done very well. Not too much filling, and clearly uses lump crab meat (in part if not totally). I would prefer more Chesapeake seasoning salt within the cake. Worth trying. -the snapping turtle soup was very tasty. A true treat and a must have. -cream of crab soup is great. Lump crab meat and well seasoned. Worth trying. -the maple bacon roasted Brussel sprouts are fantastic. Order-able as a side dish, and a must have. -the mashed potatoes with the crab cake were decent but not great. Order-able as a side, but I would skip. -the scallops were nicely seared. Cooked perfectly; not rubbery or dry. Worth trying. -the risotto with the scallops was good. not order-able as a side dish. Worth trying -the brownie sundae is amazing. The brownie edges were a bit hard and chewy for my tastes but the center was perfection. It's possible my piece got a bit overcooked. Ice cream and toppings were generously portioned. Definitely worth a try. Overall the price is high but the quality and quantity are excellent. Absolutely worth a splurge.

Hard to find an elegant restaurant like this anymore where the food and ambiance are superb. Being a bit "old-school" about fancy restaurants, I like getting dressed up and going to a place that feels special. This is the place. Not only is the food delicious, but expertly presented. An amazing bread basket that I had to refrain from eating too much as I knew my dinner would be rich and filling. Also, the cocktails are superb. Even though many restaurants now serve specialty cocktails, they don't always live up to expectations. Here at Bas Rouge they are mixed beautifully. One should be aware that, although I believe you can order al a carte, it's mainly a three/four or seven course menu. NOTE: I was extremely dismayed to see that they had foie gras on the menu. Especially seeing that this restaurant is named after I believe the owner's breed of dog that he loves, I believe foie gras, as many people do, is animal cruelty to produce. They also serve veal that again, is usually from animals confined to crates that stunt their growth. Sorry for the bummer ending, just stating what I believe is factual.
