Amazing place! Drinks were great, food was amazing, and dessert was out of this world! As you can tell we nibbled on our dessert before I got a pic. For anyone looking for an overall awesome experience definitely come here. I really couldn't speak more highly of a restaurant. Everything was perfect, even down to the silverware and ambiance of the place. Our server was very attentive, the chef knows his stuff and we will definitely be coming back again!

Christopher's Corner - Cambridge, MD Wonderful and delicious food. My only regret is finding this gem on the last evening of vacation. Usually, I don't write reviews, but since I couldn't find many detailed ones online, I wanted to share mine. Christopher's Corner has only been open a few months, and short reviews said the food was consistently outstanding. That was enough for us to try -- and it exceeded expectations. Arrival & Atmosphere We were staying at a nearby resort. The restaurants there were moderately fine but not excellent . They lacked that wow factor, which made you want to return the next night. Therefore, we decided it try Christopher's Corner and they delivered in every way. Their meat choices did not disappoint -- duck, veal, venison, and boar were offered in addition to steak. Creativity and novelty? Wow, wow, and more wow. Christopher's Corner not only delivered, it set a new bar for both flavor and presentation. The décor is a Gothic Poe-inspired vibe -- black tablecloths, black utensils, 3-D skull water bottles, a playful nod to the macabre without being over the top. Unique, creative, and fun. Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. Cocktails Not a full bar, but enough to keep everyone happy. * The Murders in the Rue Morgue - Margarita with black salt rim and a float of Maggio Cabernet. The red wine slowly staining the drink like a murder scene. Clever, unique flavor. Bloody good. (Pun intended). * Annabel Lee - Gin, cucumber, lime, and Tractor Lemongrass Organic soda. Light and refreshing. * Negroni - Classic, balanced, excellent. * Traditional Margarita - Nicely done; tequila adjusted on request. * Espresso Martini - Suggested since they don't carry Bailey's, and it was perfect. My only feedback: They need to give three coffee beans instead of two. I later remembered the three-bean tradition is originally for Sambuca, symbolizing health, wealth, and happiness. But honestly, I want that good juju on any coffee-bean drink from now on. Starters * Tomato Red Pepper Bisque - Rich and hearty, with cheesy toasted bread on the side. Reminded me of how how tomato soup and grilled would taste if it grew up. * Buffalo Oysters - Just enough heat, lightly dusted, oyster-forward. Usually the taste of oysters get lost by people over breading them . This was truely a light dusting . * Crustacean Temptation Flatbread - Crabmeat dip, asparagus, scorched corn, melted cheese -- table favorite. * Golden Crab Orbs - Basically pure crab, minimal filler, perfectly crisp. Entrees * Steak Tartare - Chopped bistro tender with caper berries, roe, otherwise flavors and yolk on top. Served with naan. O. My favorite. * Steak & Frites - Cooked well, fries addictive. I knew better than to ask my husband to share. (lol) * The Fowl & The Swine - Ground duck with crispy prosciutto, Gouda, gooseberry jam. Nephew loved. * Filet Mac & Cheese - Creamy, decadent, and loved by all. The Sin of Gluttony At this point, we were full, but if you're at a Poe-inspired restaurant, you lean into it. I decided to do my own rewrite of The Masque of the Red Death: eat and drink as though we weren't already stuffed, hoping gluttony wouldn't be the end of us. (But if it were, what a way to go.) Desserts All made in-house and changing nightly. We tried them all: * Chocolate Carrot Cake - Rich, moist, and decadent. Creame cheese icing with coating of chocolate ganache. * Mini Apple Tarts - Sweet, gooey, and comforting. * Peanut Butter Mousse Parfait - Layered with peanut butter mousse, grilled strawberry jam, and chocolate crunch; a standout. The peanut butter mousse could be a stand-alone dessert. * Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - Served with bourbon caramel or chocolate sauce. We sample both. Final Notes Many thanks to the chef, pastry chef, and staff. This was easily the best dinner of our trip, and I look forward to returning. Tip: If you're not driving, schedule your Uber or Lyft early. It was only about 3 miles from our hotel, but wait times were 35-40 minutes.

My wife and I stopped off for dinner at Christopher's Corner, having surveyed the alternatives in the area during a brief vacation getaway. We were not disappointed! The service was prompt and polite, flawless. Our appetizer of warm olives and baked feta with toasted pita slices was delicious. A beet and pear salad with grilled shrimp and candied walnuts was well balanced, and the boar sausage, potatoes, and peas were a welcome and well-prepared alternative to the run-of-the-mill. A side of grilled asparagus and prosciutto rounded out the meal well. A brownie with brown sugar cinnamon ice cream (so delicious) was perfect for two. A surprise bonus: the server brought my decaf coffee in its own French press, with more than enough to refill my mug. And, it was great to have the chef, Buddy, come out and ask about our meal and experience. Quick note: the Goth-themed decor and menu descriptions are unusual but well-worth the visit!

The most decadent dessert: The Peanut Paean ... 100 stars for the delicious dessert!

They greet you immediately and warmly, taking you right to your table. The ambience is very EA Poe, elegant and well designed. The food is always delicious, fresh and made when ordered. Can't go wrong with that special detail and always presented very nicely. The Chef always delivers exquisite dishes. Thank you.

They have some really good in-house beers and some that are okay. The service was pretty good, but I think they may have been short staffed. I asked about a couple of beers they used to have, but they were out, and the server said they had been having problems getting some of the grain they use for brewing. They had several other beers from other breweries (not all local). I really try to patronize the local small brewers, as I can get beers from large scale brewers at plenty of places. They do offer a veterans discount, and I think also first responders (but not 100% sure of that). I do really enjoy the Tail Dragger IPA. They had a solo guitar guy playing. He was ok, except the volume was way too loud for such a small venue, and it was uncomfortable to sit through. Due to the weather, the doors to the outside were shut, and so everything was confined to just the taproom.

So it just started out riding through the small areas of the Eastern Shore and a gas run. He asked me if I wanted to go get a coffee....I said no, let's find a pub or brewery. I consulted with my phone like all of us do these days and found 4 Dogs. Waze kind of messed us up, but it actually worked out because in our being turned around for a few minutes, we found another place that we will be returning to before the summer season starts to try out and I will review on that at some point. We pulled up to this very pleasant looking building with some dogs painted on it. We walked in and it was just this nice place with pool tables, some tables to sit at and of course a bar. We selected to sit at the bar. We were served by Chris who was just fantastic and makes a great orange crush. The vibe is just so nice in the pub, just the way I like it. You can hear yourself think, you can talk to your partner without screaming, yet there is music playing and laughter....it's just a nice friendly place. We ordered a Hot Honey Old Bay order of wings as we were going back to our campsite to have dinner. Would for sure order these again. They were meaty, and the sauce was sticking to the wing, not laying all over the basket. Very impressed with the taste. We thought the drinks were a great price, but then living in the Baltimore area, we get hammered on price here when we go out, which is why more often than not, hubby makes our drinks at home these days.....but this is a nice little place in the town of Easton which looks like it has a bunch of hidden little gems and we are going to take another trip down soon! Really enjoyed our time at this pub!

After spending the afternoon wandering through the shops in St. Michaels on my first-ever visit to…read moretown, I found myself craving one thing for dinner. A really good burger. Actually...a really good burger with crab dip on it. Naturally, I started searching for somewhere that could satisfy both cravings at once and landed on Carpenter Street Saloon, a laid-back local watering hole that's been serving up food, drinks and good times in the heart of St. Michaels for decades. Their menu had both burgers and crab dip, but not together. Challenge accepted! I arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday during Fourth of July weekend and somehow managed to snag the very last parking spot in their small lot. Even better, as I walked inside, a booth just inside the front door opened up. The adventure gods were clearly looking out for me! The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. Folks were gathered around the bar enjoying drinks, conversations filled the room and absolutely nobody cared that I had wandered in by myself for dinner. Sometimes that's exactly the kind of place you need after a long day of adventuring. I studied the menu for approximately three seconds before asking my waitress what I assumed would be a ridiculous question. "Could I get a burger...with crab dip on it?" Without missing a beat, she smiled and said, "Absolutely! We actually used to have that on the menu, but nobody ordered it." I couldn't stop grinning! "Well," I replied, "I'm somebody...and I want it for dinner tonight!" One more vacation victory! For $16.00, my custom Bay Burger arrived piled high with rich, creamy crab dip and melted cheese dripping over the thick burger patty exactly as I'd imagined it. It was everything I'd hoped it would be! Juicy burger. Creamy crab dip. Gooey cheese. The combination just...worked! In fact...it worked so well that I briefly considered ordering another one before remembering I still had dessert plans later that evening. (Responsible Adult Alexis eventually won that internal debate.) I chose the coleslaw as my side, and while the flavor was really good, it was a little drier than I personally prefer. That's entirely a preference thing, though. If you're someone who likes a less creamy coleslaw, this one will probably be right up your alley. My Diet Pepsi was $4.00, bringing my total to just $21.20 before tip. Honestly, for a custom burger loaded with crab dip in the middle of one of Maryland's busiest holiday weekends, I thought that was an excellent value. Carpenter Street Saloon isn't trying to be fancy. It's comfortable. It's welcoming. It's the kind of neighborhood bar where locals and visitors alike can settle in, enjoy a great meal and relax for a while. If you're visiting St. Michaels and find yourself craving a burger, do yourself a favor...ask them to bring back the crab dip burger. Apparently nobody orders it. Except me. And now hopefully you!
