On my very first night ever in St. Michaels, MD, I had two requirements for dinner. 1. I wanted a waterfront view. 2. I wanted shrimp salad. After a little searching, Foxy's Harbor Grille kept popping up as one of the top recommendations. Their website mentioned joining the waitlist online before arriving, and knowing it was the start of Fourth of July weekend, I figured a little planning couldn't hurt. I hopped on the waitlist before leaving my hotel and headed toward the harbor. I arrived a little before 5:00pm on Thursday afternoon in the middle of an absolutely brutal heat wave. Temperatures were over 100 degrees, and apparently everyone else in town had the good sense not to request outdoor seating. When the hostess couldn't find my name on the online waitlist, it didn't really matter because the covered deck overlooking the marina was completely empty. One request for an outside table later, and I was seated immediately with one heck of a view! My server was fantastic from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive and made sure I had everything I needed without ever making me feel rushed. For dinner, I ordered the Shrimp Roll ($21.00) with a side of black bean salad and a Diet Coke ($3.75). It turned out to be exactly the kind of meal I wanted after spending the day in triple-digit temperatures. The shrimp salad was outstanding! Big chunks of shrimp, perfectly dressed and seasoned without being drowning-in-mayo soupy. Just fresh, flavorful and incredibly satisfying. The portion was generous enough that I happily boxed up half to enjoy the next day. The black bean salad deserves its own little shout-out, too. Black beans, corn, peppers, cilantro and what tasted like a light, fresh vinaigrette made it the perfect companion to the chilled shrimp salad on such a hot evening. But...let's be honest. I had already spotted the Sky High Peanut Butter Pie ($12.00) while stalking the menu before dinner arrived. As someone whose personality is approximately 63.8% peanut butter, there was absolutely no chance I was leaving Foxy's without ordering it! A few minutes later, my server returned carrying what can only be described as a monument to peanut butter. This slice stood at least three inches tall, topped with whipped cream and packed with chopped peanut butter cups throughout a rich, dense peanut butter filling. It was glorious! It was excessive! It was everything I hoped it would be! And yes...I ate the whole thing. Even I was a little impressed with myself! The view from the covered deck overlooking the marina made the entire experience even better. Sitting there watching boats come and go while enjoying dinner felt like the perfect introduction to St. Michaels. Foxy's has exactly the kind of laid-back, waterfront atmosphere you hope to find when visiting a Chesapeake Bay town. One thing I also appreciated was how welcoming the restaurant felt for everyone. During my visit I saw solo diners like myself, couples, families with kids and groups of friends all enjoying themselves. Their menu is incredibly diverse, too, so just about everyone should be able to find something they'll enjoy. My total came to just $40.24 before tip for dinner, dessert and a drink, which I found to be very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the waterfront location and the generous portions. If I had one piece of advice, it would be to eat a little earlier if you can, especially during holiday weekends. I have a feeling this place fills up quickly once the evening rolls around. Highly recommend Foxy's Harbor Grille if you're visiting St. Michaels! Great food, great service, beautiful waterfront views and one seriously unforgettable slice of peanut butter pie. Foxy's is a nice waterfront restaurant and bar that's pet friendly, with plenty of comfortable patio seating (see the sofa in my picture; those are rocking chairs). The bartender gave us a bowl of water for our pup. Delicious Thai style calamari. Nice appetizer fried shrimp but I wish it's less smothered in thick sauce. Crab cake has real crab meat. Nice hangout view through. Right in the heart of St. Michaels. Good and efficient self service. We seated ourselves. There's a window where you order from a bartender. You pick up your order from that same window when he calls your name. I guess it's faster than table service. They have a humorous sign sailing free beer -- which is actually if you read closely, it says Free WIFi (In tiny font) and good beer, ha ha. On the downside, there permanently a line to the ladies' room! Only two stalls for such a huge sprawling restaurant with wrap around deck, patio, "beac" seating and huge indoor space. read more

It was fresh and the nachos were topped perfectly. We got a crushes and Bloody Mary. The service was good too. We didn't have to wait but they weren't checking on us too much either. Perfect balance. Pitcher of Orange crush for $32. That is a great price and it was delicious. A true Maryland orange crush. Not too sweet and a perfect amount of alcohol. The watermelon marg & Caribbean crush were the favorite drinks of the evening. Skip the creamsicle crush! For dinner we had the crabby tots to start (delish), crab cake sandwich, crab imperial, and the fish & chips. The fish & chips were fried a little harder than we would've liked. Foxy's is exactly what you want it to be. It's got a great location on the harbor, palms, an outdoor bar, a huge crush menu, and friendly staff. The tropical mango crush was delicious. We both loved the peel and eat shrimp and our sandwiches. My jerk chicken sandwich was excellent and so were the fries. It was the perfect outdoor bar meal. If you want chill waterfront vibes, head to Foxy's Harbor Grille. Woman-owned, this restaurant comes with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu includes 18 different Crushes, Maryland's state drink. However, order the OG Orange as it comes with freshly squeezed orange juice. Seafood is where they shine and I enjoyed the half pound of shrimp with Old Bay and cocktail sauce. Bring cash $$$ to Foxy's - there is a hidden 3.50 % card surcharge My son and I had an Easter lunch yesterday afternoon. Our table had a nice view of the water. The food was good but the oyster app. was very small for $19.00. Our server was pleasant and nice to talk with. We were presented with a paper check at the same time as a table next to us, and that senior couple was questioning an item labeled "Surcharge". Then I noticed it was on my check as well. I was not asked in advance if we wanted to pay by card or cash, and it was evident that the couple was not offered that either. 3.50 % of my total amount due, was a surcharge line item, which I was also taxed on. In addition, I wasn't presented with a second paper check that included a line where I could simply write in a tip and sign it, so I wondering where that was. We heard the couple's server inform them it was a transaction fee unless they wanted to pay in cash. They did send back the check to remove the surcharge and pay in cash. For us our server was already back to our table, but this time with an electronic hand held device (like when you get take-out with the tip amount boxes suggested starting at 20% up.) And the server stood over my shoulder holding the device, which pressured me to quickly sign the device pad with my finger. I chose not to make a big deal about the hidden surcharge in front of my minor son, because we were having a great day- so I didn't. I did share with the server I would have paid cash if offered the option, but didn't want to send the check back for a redo since it was already done. This "hope the customer doesn't notice" strategy is a bad practice. For me- I would rather Foxy's transparently adjust their prices, if they can't cover the cost of doing business and advertise a discount for cash. It feels nicer and accomplishes the same thing... It's not our fault ... All we want to do is enjoy a meal and end the visit feeling great vs. feeling duped. The whole hand held device at the dining table (incl. waiting and watching me sign) cheapened the experience as well. read more

Service was fine. But let me tell you the food was not. Most over priced shitty food I've ever had. We got oysters poke bowl and crab Mac and cheese and I've never had a meal so mediocre. Total of 3 drinks to and after tip over 190 dollars. I absolutely do not recommend this place to any one. read more

While sightseeing in Tilghman Island and St Michaels, MD, we decided to stop at this restaurant mainly because they had outdoor dining and allowed dogs on their patio. Not only did they allow dogs but they even had 2 menu items for purchases for the pooches! We were seated on the patio which was right on the harbor with an awesome view. Our server was amazing! Very friendly, offered suggestions and attentive. We got the steamed shrimp for an appetizer 1/2 lb which were delicious. About 12 large shrimps. My entree was the smashed single burger with tropical Cole slaw (they were out of the sweet potato fries). The burger was so juicy and the pickles complimented it so well. The Cole slaw had cranberries in it which gave it a bit of a different taste compared to regular Cole slaw. It was tasty. For dessert I had the mango cheesecake - so light and yummy! My sister had the peanut butter pie, which she truly enjoyed but I felt it was a bit too sweet for me. The dogs had Lilly's Chicken which we split in half. They actually put it in a slow eating dog bowl for them. So very cool and as I said pet friendly! It was great being able to have our dinner and they could have theirs. Yes they are beyond spoiled. Free parking, but also easily walkable from the main road. Restaurant is right on the water. We sat outside for lunch on a Saturday. Easy to get a table. Service was fine but pretty slow overall. We ordered the tropical mango crush and agave crush - both were average. The mango liquor was alcohol forward, and the agave crush tasted like a marg. Flies were pretty annoying when we were trying to eat. We got - fish taco with mahi: default is catfish, so we upgraded. It was overall good, but I thought the fish would be fried/grilled but it was just kind of chopped up. Gets soggy fast so eat it first - nachos with chicken: huge portion, mound of chips with all the toppings but didn't seem like it was heated. So the queso got cold fast and just glued to the chips and made them soggy. The chicken was a little plain. - fried shrimp with mango habanero sauce: solid amount for an appetizer Overall food was okay, so I would call this place a one and done. Our server was Nick who was not only a great server, but was full of interesting historical information about the area. I started my meal with an Aperol Margarita. That's new for me and it was delicious. The taste of tequila and lime with a little bitter Aperol twist! The cocktail-beer-wine menu is extensive, so enjoy! My husband ordered the fried shrimp appetizer. It nomally comes breaded in rice flour and fried, then tossed in your choice of sauces. He had his plain and said it was really crunchy and fresh. I ordered the scallops which are seared and lightly blackened. My sides were the coconut cilantro rice and the fresh vegetables, which was corn on the cob. The scallops were sweet and succulent. They were medium in size... not the tiny bay scallops and not the giant ones that can be tasteless. They were seared perfectly and drizzled with a delicate sauce that complimented the meat and did not compete with the flavor. I wasn't sure about the rice, but the coconut sweetness was very subtle and it really enjoyed it. Corn was also fresh and lightly toasted. Needless to say, I was in the clean-plater club! A classic -- Foxy's is the equivalent to your neighborhood bar only with harbor side views! Our server Riley was super friendly and worked hard to make sure all of his tables were having a good time. Because it is summertime in the Midatlantic, I had to get a classic orange crush! The menu had over a dozen types of crushes listed and if I was in a different frame of mind that day I would have gladly worked my way down that delicious looking list. Food was surprisingly good for a tourist spot -- our crab cakes were fine and our mahi mahi with fried chickpeas and wilted spinach was delicious. I had a blast at this place! Foxy's has a very fun upbeat vibe with a great view of the water and some adorable houses. We choose to sit on the patio to eat, but they do have a full dining room. I ordered the "fish taco" and a Crush cocktail, which is what Foxy's is known for. The Crush is vodka based and then any muddled fruit is added. I ordered the pineapple with an extra shot and it was delightful. Heads up, They have about 15 different fruit options to muddle. The fish taco or burrito. Was actually really good, this is a giant soft tortilla filled with fried mahi mahi, hot chilis, garlic sauce, shredded cabbage, cheese and fresh Pico de Gallo. This normally comes with catfish, but I opted for the mahi mahi. My only complaint here is that the burrito was over dressed and fell apart as a I ate it. Still good even with a fork. I could see this being my hangout spot, but I wouldn't stay late. I got the vibe that this place turns into a drunken Bro Bar as the night continues to go on. We had dinner at Foxy's earlier this week and the food was absolutely horrible. The best way to describe our experience there is "cheap quality food served at an expensive price". You absolutely do not get what you pay for here. I had the Cobb Salad (see photo) the other evening for dinner and it wasnt cheap... they threw a handful of cheap shredded cheddar cheese on it. The "grilled chicken" was cubed cold horrible chicken meat that you would expect to be served at a hospital or greyhound bus station cafeteria. We also overpaid for the pretzel and crab meat, which was awful it. The pretzel was a gooey piece of bread with some crab meat for a $19 appetizer. The atmosphere is cool being on the water, but the food quality was absolutely horrible. They should be embarrassed with the poor ingredients tey are putting on that Cobb Salad. How about you actually grille a piece of chicken, and swap the fake shredded cheddar with some blue cheese? DO BETTER FOXY'S read more

Went here with my daughter and niece while in Saint Michaels for the day. It was extremely busy, but all of the employees seemed to be hustling. It's a fun place with a beach vibe . We had a lovely lunch - crab dip pretzel, shrimp & crab salad, fish tacos (get this!), kids' pretzel lunch, kids' chicken tenders, and burgers. The sweet potato fries are tasty - order them! However it was seared quite poorly and the fish was not fresh. The avocado "smear" was simply store guacamole and did not compliment the fish at all. I tried my best to finish it bc I am NOT a fan of wasting food but I couldn't even finish this. The fries were cold too sigh. Saw my other's friends get crab cake and I'm glad I didn't get that it was tiny and didn't look like anything special. The service was alright, we were given a cheesecake that we didn't order and had to pay for LOL. Our waitress came to check on us once and quickly left when we were going to say smth.
