Foxy's is a nice waterfront restaurant and bar that's pet friendly, with plenty of comfortable patio seating (see the sofa in my picture; those are rocking chairs). The bartender gave us a bowl of water for our pup. Delicious Thai style calamari. Nice appetizer fried shrimp but I wish it's less smothered in thick sauce. Crab cake has real crab meat. Nice hangout view through. Right in the heart of St. Michaels. Good and efficient self service. We seated ourselves. There's a window where you order from a bartender. You pick up your order from that same window when he calls your name. I guess it's faster than table service. They have a humorous sign sailing free beer -- which is actually if you read closely, it says Free WIFi (In tiny font) and good beer, ha ha. On the downside, there permanently a line to the ladies' room! Only two stalls for such a huge sprawling restaurant with wrap around deck, patio, "beac" seating and huge indoor space.

For a dock bar it always great vibe, quick and courteous service. Orange crushes are hard to beat.

We stopped in for an early lunch and drinks. The outside area is so nice. Eating by the water was so pretty. The food was good we got seafood nachos and a side Caesar salad. It was fresh and the nachos were topped perfectly. We got a crushes and Bloody Mary. The service was good too. We didn't have to wait but they weren't checking on us too much either. Perfect balance. I would for sure some back.

We came to Foxy's on a Friday night and grabbed orange crushes at the bar--they were so good we had to come back the next day for lunch. On Saturday, we ordered the fish taco (which is actually a catfish burrito--absolutely delicious!) and the salmon BLT, which was also fantastic. We started with the fish dip served with tortilla chips--super tasty and perfect for sharing. The waterfront view is beautiful no matter where you sit, and the staff is fun, welcoming, and keeps the energy high. Foxy's has that laid-back, local vibe that makes you feel right at home. The service was very good. Server was busy and still friendly & attentive. Food. Fish tacos was catfish with coleslaw and other goodies wrapped in a burrito. The flavors all came together. Sweet potato was good. Cuban was also very good. We sat outside, really cool bar setting. I believe they have inside as well We will return.

We've been here twice now and it hasn't disappointed us. Service and ambiance are 10/10. Orange crushes are actually TRUE Maryland crushes. We got the fried shrimp appetizer with Thai chili dip.

Dined here with a group of girlfriends on a Friday night. Very crowded and popular local spot with live music. With our group, we try to variety of items from the drink & food menu. The watermelon marg & Caribbean crush were the favorite drinks of the evening. Skip the creamsicle crush! For dinner we had the crabby tots to start (delish), crab cake sandwich, crab imperial, and the fish & chips. The fish & chips were fried a little harder than we would've liked. If you're into live music and a crowd right by the water, this is definitely the place for you.

Foxy's is exactly what you want it to be. It's got a great location on the harbor, palms, an outdoor bar, a huge crush menu, and friendly staff. The tropical mango crush was delicious. We both loved the peel and eat shrimp and our sandwiches. My jerk chicken sandwich was excellent and so were the fries. It was the perfect outdoor bar meal. I'm looking forward to returning next time I'm in St. Michael's.

If you want chill waterfront vibes, head to Foxy's Harbor Grille. Woman-owned, this restaurant comes with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu includes 18 different Crushes, Maryland's state drink. However, order the OG Orange as it comes with freshly squeezed orange juice. Seafood is where they shine and I enjoyed the half pound of shrimp with Old Bay and cocktail sauce. For dessert, the key lime pie or the mango cheesecake were recommended. I opted for the former and it was delicious (and unique). If you want a chill lunch or dinner, head to Foxy's!

When I told him no, he looked at me and said, "You better go! They're closing after this season." Wait...WHAT?! Sure enough, I looked it up later that evening and the rumors were true. After 61 seasons serving seafood on the St. Michaels waterfront, this family-owned landmark is saying goodbye at the end of 2026. Suddenly, eating here wasn't just dinner. It became one last chance to experience a little piece of Eastern Shore history before it's gone forever! I called that afternoon hoping for a reservation. It was the Fourth of July in St. Michaels, after all, and the town was absolutely PACKED. No reservations were available, but the gentleman on the phone kindly told me, "Just come on over. We'll take care of you." Good enough for me! I somehow...SOMEHOW...pulled into one of the very limited front-row parking spaces at The Crab Claw at 4:30pm. On a holiday weekend Saturday. The vacation gods were smiling on me! I wandered out onto the waterfront deck and found plenty of open tables waiting in the shade. Considering it was roughly 105 degrees thanks to the holiday weekend heat wave, shade wasn't a luxury. It was survival. I hadn't done my normal pre-trip menu stalking, which made me wildly uncomfortable because I am apparently the type of person who likes to arrive at restaurants with a five-year dinner plan already prepared. Thankfully, my waitress rescued me! The Fish Tacos of the Day happened to be rockfish, so my decision was made. I ordered the Fish Tacos ($20.95), added a side of Homemade Potato Salad ($5.95), a Diet Pepsi ($4.00)...and then I saw it. SMITH ISLAND CAKE. I've wanted to try authentic Smith Island Cake for YEARS. Not days. Not months. Years. ALOT of them! Every trip to Maryland I'd think, "Maybe this time." And somehow it never happened. Until now! The rockfish tacos were excellent. No unnecessary frills, just generous chunks of perfectly cooked rockfish topped with crunchy purple cabbage, a light spicy sauce underneath and a fresh pico with tomatoes, onions and jalapeños that leaned more toward fresh than soggy. Exactly how I like it! The potato salad was almost neon yellow when it arrived, which immediately gave me high hopes. Those hopes were rewarded! It reminded me a lot of Amish potato salad. Slightly sweet, creamy and absolutely delicious. I ate one taco, a healthy helping of potato salad and happily boxed up the rest for lunch the next day. But let's be honest. The real event was dessert. The slice of Smith Island Cake ($12.95) arrived looking every bit as legendary as I'd imagined. Nine layers of cake. Eleven thin layers of rich chocolate frosting. I took one bite...and immediately started doing the happy food dance. It was EVERYTHING I'd hoped it would be! Every. Single. Bite. While I'm sure The Crab Claw doesn't actually make the Smith Island Cake, they happened to be the one's that allowed me to experience it first, so, they get awarded the points for epicness! Dinner came to $46.48 before tip (about $60 all in after tipping), making it the most expensive dinner of my St. Michaels vacation. Not exactly cheap, but absolutely worth every penny for the food, the memories and the chance to experience a place that's been part of St. Michaels since 1965. The Crab Claw began as a seafood packing operation before becoming the waterfront restaurant generations of visitors have come to love, and you can absolutely feel that history while you're sitting there watching the boats drift by. I'm incredibly grateful that a random conversation on a ferry turned into one of my favorite meals of the trip. Sometimes the best adventures aren't on the itinerary. Sometimes they're recommended by a stranger. Thank you, Crab Claw, for one unforgettable final meal in St. Michaels.

The view is definitely the best thing about this restaurant, but that's where the positives end. I ordered the seafood stew, and it was unbelievably oily--so much so that I couldn't finish it. The seafood soup tasted like something that came straight out of a can. Ironically, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was the cheapest item we ordered, yet it ended up being the best dish on the table. The service was also very disappointing. There were hardly any other customers around, yet our server was extremely slow and rarely checked on us. Even when we were clearly trying to get the check, we waited forever. Meanwhile, we could hear staff laughing and chatting in the kitchen, but no one seemed interested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there were flies everywhere throughout the restaurant, and no one appeared to be doing anything about it. It made the dining experience even less enjoyable. Overall, the waterfront setting is beautiful, but the food quality, service, and cleanliness issues outweighed the view. We won't be returning and would not recommend it based on our experience.

We were surprised at how full we were! The amusé bouche was an oyster in a light cream sauce (it's been a few days - I believe that's correct). Delicious, as was the light vegetable serving my boyfriend had since he is more vegetarian. The oyster stew was also wonderful (no wonder I was so full) and they provided a vegetable soup that was too. Our mains around the table were a black cod (again, I think that's accurate), and Maryland Crab Boil which really is a crab cake and very crab full. The fish had a nice crisp touch but tender and moist - all excellent and just enough for us. There was a vegan chocolate mousse made with avocado, a flourless dairy version, both good. We also had the panna cotte and an interesting donut with tropical fruit. I could tell my server wasn't quite impressed with the cake donut but I had to try it and it was just ok. Downsides? It was a 3 hour meal. Long breaks in between. Good thing we all like each other and have many stories to tell. Whether there was a large party going on or what, we don't know. They could have kept us more informed about timing and/or offered another round of wine but we were pretty much on our own in between as we were outside on the patio. Otherwise a five star experience and nice staff though they feel a bit young and at the mercy of the kitchen. Having been a waitperson it felt like they were afraid to interact to tell us about timing. But I always think it's better for the customer to know what's up and feel taken care of rather than abandoned. We'll be back another time however.!
