We were craving crab, so off to the jetty we went! An hour-and-a-half drive that was absolutely worth it. We got settled in the outdoor jetty area with our dog and ordered a dozen jumbo steamed crabs. They were incredibly fresh--meaty, sweet, and full of flavor. It's not the cheapest, but at $155, it felt worth it for the quality alone. We also had some raw oysters, which were perfectly briny and fresh. Always a good time here. Great food, good service,nice views etc. They have entertainment here-a live rock band that plays on Saturday's at 3 pm. All of the food I've had while dining here has always been good. They have some of the best Orange crushes I've had. They also use fresh squeezed orange juice for them-which makes a big difference. My last visit I ordered honey old bay wings, mussels and a flounder poboy. All were excellent. The servers are nice and the place can get packaged on the weekends. They have indoor seating with more of a family feel or if you want a more quiet dining experience. The bar is located outdoors on the water. There are 2 hotels on site also. Visited Jetty's for Mother's Day and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The issue was not just the crab policy, but the overall service. The waitress was inattentive and dismissive throughout the experience, and the automatic gratuity made it even more frustrating because the level of service did not match the added charge. We ordered crabs priced at $138 per dozen. When the crabs were brought out, several felt extremely light. We immediately raised the concern before eating any of them and decided we were not interested. Management repeatedly referred back to the "all crab sales final" policy instead of trying to resolve the situation or provide better customer service. On top of that, the food overall was honestly about a 4/10. For the prices being charged, the quality and experience simply did not match expectations. The entire interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, and overall the experience carried an off-putting vibe that made the situation even worse. I would never visit this place again. I understand restaurants have policies, especially with seafood, but customer service and professionalism still matter. For those prices, customers expect quality food and respectful service. Stopped by The Jetty after shopping at Queenstown. There was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. We were given a choice of a sunny or shady seat outdoors; I didn't really care since it was great views on the deck regardless. We sat closer to the water. There was a live band setting up. We got medium crabs, fish and chips, and crushes. The crabs were a decent price--$52/dozen for the medium. The sun began to set while we were eating crabs and eventually it was pretty dark while we were eating so then I kind of regretted sitting so far away from more of the lighted, covered deck part. Our server checked in with us frequently and emptied our crab shell bucket. You can tell this place gets lively by how much more of a crowd was starting to come in as the night went on and they were loving the live band. All in all, it was a good experience. read more

I love this spot, and it's mainly for the views. It's located just a few minutes across the Bay Bridge in Kent. Lots of people pull up, dock their boats and come inside for food and drinks. There's also plenty of parking. Usually a pretty good crowd and the live music is also a plus. Our waitress was good and our food came out pretty quickly. However ,the food was okay. Went recently by boat from St. Michael's and was disappointed when the bartender gave me the bill with no detailed information (Server AM BAR 14 - 4/24/26). I asked her to print the receipt with details of each item, and she said she already did. No - I did not get a detailed receipt and asked her to print it again. I was told it can only be printed once! Seriously??? With technology today you can only print a detailed receipt once? Very disappointed, but I will certainly go back and be more diligent in checking my receipt!!! read more

Well, they started out at zero stars; but it's mostly because they are so loud and so busy that it was unpleasant the first time we ate there (we did go back). We went once, the wait was expected to be 90 minutes (Weekend/lunch), so we declined. Tried again, holiday evening, wait was still about half an hour, but we did it. Got seated, waited probably 30 minutes or more before anyone showed up with water. Wifey was pretty hot because people seated after us had drinks and orders taken before we even got our water. But our waiter, Gunnar I think was his name, finally showed with water for us and a couple other tables. He was clearly overworked, managing about eight tables as best he could, so I give him credit and some stars for his effort. He took dinner orders from the table next to us, then came to our table, taking our order, but didn't write anything down. I expect this to be the start of a royal cluster-*, but amazingly, he delivered everything we ordered, correctly. We did have to wait a really long time (half-dozen crab), and it was almost painfully loud (live band). The crab itself was so over-seasoned with Old Bay that it was really too salty and very messy. Plus, several legs and claws were empty - no meat inside. Probably not the restaurant's fault, but disappointing none-the-less given what we paid for crab. We did go back a third time, mid-week, evening, caught happy hour, and it was much quieter. We sat at the bar, had drinks and appetizers from the happy-hour menu, and that was quite pleasant. I would eat here again, but I would target non-busy weeknights/happy hours so it's not so loud and not so ridiculously busy. read more

You definitely come here for the views. It's a cool spot where the patio actually is over the water and has great views. Kid friendly and nice enough staff. But the food is pretty gross. It tastes and looks like most things are pre-made/frozen, or comes from a jar, can, or package. We ordered burger sliders from the kids menu, the California dip, buffalo bites, chicken nachos, and fried rockfish tenders. It's served on plastic plates with plastic silverware. Warning to Seniors and People with Disabilities : Beware of Abuse at The Jetty On July 5th a lovely afternoon at The Jetty took a turn for the worse,resulting in 'senior abuse'. This story is not pretty. Our story begins with three friends anticipating a fun day at The Jetty with music and lunch.I am a 70 year old woman with a significant disability . My friends,a married couple, are 81. Our day began well but concluded with a shocking situation of 'senior abuse' We had enjoyed the music and a delicious lunch at our first table. After lunch we told our waitress that we needed to close out our first vheck and move to a table with more shade. We were instructed to inform the hostess so that she could send a server to our new table. We followed her instructions; We found a table with more shade and informed the hostess. But a server never came to our second table. I was very thirsty and wanted too start a new order. I attempted to flag down a waitress. I finally got a server's attention. She indicated that the hostess needed to be aware of our change in tables.We tried to assure her that we had done exacty that and that the hostess knew about our second table. Within seconds,the waitress told us that we had to leave and said that if we refused,she was going to get security. My friend attempted to talk to her but she called to security,wrongly accusing my friend of touching her. My friend also attempted to speak to the manager. She wrongly accused him accused him of raising his hand to her in addition to touching the waitress and causing her to cry. My friend is an animated Italian gentleman who sometimes talks with his hands. So,yes, he may have raised his hand to get her attention but he had absolutely no intent to strike anyone. The manager,bouncers and waitress were in lockstep with their strategy. They silenced my friend. He attempted to speak and they silenced him. Again,within seconds, my 81 year old friend was manhandled into a vice grip by two security guards and they proceeded to physically remove him from The Jetty. My friend's wife and I were also escorted out by security. My dear readers, I have been going 'clubbing' for over50 years. Not only have I never been thrown out of a club, I always receive excellent service as I make a habit of showing well deserved appreciation to our hard- working service staff. I strongly caution seniors and people with disabilities to be aware of customer abuse at The Jetty. You better believe that I will never return there. I will be much happier returning to establishments that appreciate the business of all of their customers,including seniors and people with disabilities. read more

We love The Jetty. Been there 3 times during our travels through Maryland and onto the Bay Bridge. We love the crab house vibe of The Jetty - even in January. It's right on the water, there's seating on the outside deck, there's an outdoor bar that's enclosed in the winter, there's inside seating, a bunch of TV's and even a roaring fireplace. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms are clean and adequate. The service was friendly, warm, professional. Okay. The most important part. The Food. We had the French Onion Soup. Delicious and served with a nice hunk of garlic bread. My wife recently ordered French Onion Soup at a restaurant back home and it was awful. The Jetty's version restored our faith in all things wonderful about French Onion Soup. Next came the Jumbo Crab Cake Sandwiches. So good! My wife's was served with homemade potato chips seasoned with Old Bay. Mine was served with great Waffle Sweet Potato Fries. If you're passing through Kent Island, I highly recommend stopping at The Jetty before driving over the crazy scary Bay Bridge heading to Annapolis. read more

This Waterfront restaurant is very popular among the natives of Maryland. It's easy to get to. It was my first time, the food was good, service was fast considering how crowded it was, very friendly staff. I especially enjoyed dancing to the live band 1974. When in town, this is always the place we go to for breakfast. Love their potatoes, eggs & sausage. The bloody Mary's are good too. We try to get here early because it gets crowded fast.
