I'm sure the wine side is better, but unless you want to buy old, skunked beer, don't buy buy that here.

Okay selection of wines; mediocre selection of cheeses -- but the huge disappointment is how…read moreadamant they are about their deli sandwich menu. They refuse to modify their sandwiches AT ALL. I don't eat meat and they refuse to make me a sandwich just minus the meat because, "if we do a custom sandwich for one person, then we have to do it for all". Then either make custom sandwiches (what's the big deal?) or offer a meat-free option that's not a wrap full of raw squash please! (Yuck) I mean I just want a lettuce, cheese, and tomato sandwich. Good grief. You've lost my familiy's business over your obstinance about this...

We looked at the menu (which had build your own sandwich options online) before we got there and were really excited to try the Lord Baltimore, but my husband is allergic to tomatoes. The phone lines seem to be disconnected so we figured we would just order in person. Two gentleman were working the deli counter and they told me that they could not make sandwiches without tomatoes, and they only sold pre maid sandwiches. This was really confusing, I asked if I could build two sandwiches just like Lord Baltimore and just skip the tomato, and pay the same price, but they said they dont do that either. Why have a sandwich menu or deli if you cant make a sandwich? I asked if there was another local deli nearby and they suggested Subway. Gross.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE EVENT! The Chesapeake Bay Balloon…read morefestival took place near the Mason Dixon Line in PA in 2023. They make you order tickets in advance because I am sure they think most people would not buy the tickets if they were to see the event in person. They advertised that there would many balloons at the event with photos. None of the balloons advertised were at the event. They had two down balloons. It was basically a yard sale event with a little bit of music. If you try to contact the company, the number goes to a line for a billing company and there is no one to speak to. You cannot even leave a message. There are many other BAD REVIEWS for this company. Please check other reviews before buying a ticket. It is not worth the money they charge because the event does not have the balloons as promised.

It takes less then 15 minutes to walk around the whole area to look at each of the vendors offerings. All the winery/brewery vendors were giving out free samples of their drinks if you were willing to wait in a long line (however, by closing time there were much less people, shorter lines, and much bigger pours so you may want to try coming later in the day). All in all, I found the experience to be quite fun, but wouldn't pay full price for admission to the place as you are charged for everything inside except for the sample pours (its like a cover charge for a club). Most places took cash only and while the wines were relatively cheap ($10 ~ $20+) the food there was quite pricey for what it was (e.g. five pieces of fried oreos for $5). I suggest bringing your own picnic food and just picking up a bottle of wine there. One food stand that did stand out was the raw oyster stand where it was a dollar per oyster - a very juicy, succulent oyster. Other than that the above, there wasn't much about the festival that stood out. They really need to expand the place though because everyone ended up being crowded around the vendors who were placed too closely together. Also they need to have signs for parking because parking was just a nightmare.
