Great location and very convenient if walking around. Not sure about parking if just going into town for this store. We were visiting area and walking around when we went in so didn't have to park. Super great selection of items (wine, beer, liquor) and great service. Very friendly. Things are spread out and have lots of extras to make a great drink. Not your typical liquor store vibe - elevated! Found a liquor we have been searching for at our local liquor stores. Shocked they had it and super happy. read more

Mills Fine Wine and Spirits - Purchases - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

This is a very nice wine shop in downtown Annapolis. It is spacious and I truly appreciated how all the international wines were labeled by country - you'd be amazed how many shops could care less to help their customers locate wines from their countries of choice. The service was fairly good but not exceptional. It has a great location close to the water and is one of the best wine shops you will likely experience in either Annapolis or Maryland for that matter! read more

The best place in downtown Annapolis - Always a very friendly staff if you have any questions

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! My credit card was stolen in this store on I-day in June 2025. Around 6:45pm after a long and hot day, I went in to make a purchase of waters. After I paid, I packed my bag to go back to the hotel. I went back to the store to get the card when I realized I had left it on the counter. Within an hour the card had been used at multiple locations online. The 2 people working at the counters said they knew nothing. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! read more

It was like walking into a wine cellar or interior winery with the abundance of barrels, displays, shelves of vino & more. The inventory is huge from your normal go-to bottle or stepping out to try something new. In addition to the US wine regions, Mills has an extensive list from South Africa, Israel & Portugal to name a few. Put together your own mixed case for $96 (20% off) or find a new grape from the $10 bottle section. For the non-wine drinkers, immerse in the vast inventory of Beer & Spirits. You can create your own six-pack or order a Keg for your next house party. If don't need a big bottle of liquor you can find an extensive selection of miniatures. To the Cigar Aficionados, you are not forgotten as one can delight from the compact humidor. Accessories & light snacks round out this versatile wine & spirits store located in the charming area of City Dock. Three bottles of wine (Two from the $10 section), a mini spirit & cigar for my neighbor came under $50. Open seven days a week, Beer Tastings on Fridays & Wine/Spirits Tastings on Saturdays. Mills also offers free delivery to your home, dock or hotel in Annapolis. Extra kudos to the welcoming employees who were happy to share insight & provide assistance even with offering to help carry out your purchases. read more

Asked the Mills employee for wine choices of one of their frequent buyers and he was excellent.

This place could benefit from having "experts" on their team. In a place like Annapolis I would say this is probably your best bet. I heard one of the guys progressing to a customer he was new, I saw that he was still being helpful. Great location and I like how it is located near the hustle and bustle of Annapolis. My husband and I grabbed some goodies as we were leaving Annapolis. We walked around and the reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because they are well organized and really a cute store! read more

I was suddenly invited to a friend's place for dinner and needed to bring the beer. Yelp to the rescue and it pointed me to Mills since I was already chilling in downtown Annapolis. A really good selection of beers (and wines!) with quite a few micros and locals. Yeah, there's the usual macros here as well. Looking for something different and local, the young lady who helped me headed into the beer cave to find it for me. Very good service. Oh, and there's a Yelp discount. What's not to love? read more

I *love* Mills Fine Wine and Spirits!! Traveling to Annapolis on my way to Maine and on my way back from Maine, they eased the stress of traveling by delivering a few fabulous bottles (including an *amazing* Cab that Jennifer selected) which were waiting for me when I arrived! I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and some of the staff when my girlfriends and I visited while walking around town. Just the nicest people, with reasonable prices and free delivery! read more

My friends and I went in after the Blue Angles demonstration. That was my 1st and last time in this establishment, definitely wasn't met with a welcome and received odd looks from the cashier as we searched for a few nice quality bottles of Rosè. Needless to say, I took my money where I know it's welcome! read more

Today, Christmas Eve my friend and I walked to mills from a local restaurant to get something to take home for the holidays and they were closed. It was very cold and as were were standing outside, calling around for open places locally when the owner unlocked the door noticing us standing out front and clearly cold. She offered to let us in and reset the register to get us what we need so even though they had technically closed hours before. I thank this family business so much for their kindness and willing to go out of their way for someone during the holidays. Best customer service I've had in a while. read more

The selection of beer in this place is definitely satisfactory. I wouldn't call it extensive but there are plenty of local and international options. While the selection was great, the people themselves weren't the best. If you have a general idea of what you want without needing to ask for help this is the spot for you! read more

If I had one prayer, it might go like this... O Lord, if there was but one Beer, Wine and Spirit shop that could be open 24/7, 365 days a year including leap year and in Annapolis and never forced me to pay. Please let this be the shop. Word to the Father. Amen. Then of course, I would be sent to that flame engulfing cauldron of molten bile where I would be forced to do "Sweating to the Oldies" with Rush Limbaugh, Tammy Baker, and Bobby Flay...but at least I would have a good buzz on due to the great folks at Mills. Ok, we're talking about the holy trinity here. Great selection of Beer, Wine and Spirits...see holy trinity. It even has the holy spirit. But all blasphemy aside (I'm so gonna be in trouble) there is a great selection here. You can make your own six pack of beer, you have a great selection of wine and here's what's really great about this place. Tastings. Big deal you say. Sure you can go to places and have tastings of wine and beer. But here, they do tastings of spirits as well...and their liquor buyer does his best to bring you some of the most unique and delicious, ever so delicious libations. Hmm, I wonder if he will adopt me? Yes, they still have the mainstream stuff...but there is an ardent focus on really good craft beer, wine, and spirits. Like any shop...talk with them, get to know them...let them get to know you and what you really want and need. This isn't your chain shop...but a good craft store where the employees really want to make you happy. I'm happy...i'm gonna burn, but i'm happy. read more

Mills Fine Wine and Spirits - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

Smallish, but REALLY good selection. They have a wonderful range of high end brands at reasonable pricing. They have a few lower end items, but they clearly are biased twirls top shelf bottles. The wines are, from what I noticed, pretty solid. Friendly staff. I make a habit of always stopping buy when I am in town. Fair warning: the parking spot in front is 1/2 hours only and no refills. They do enforce. read more

I like this place because of the amazing selection and customer service. I LOVE it because it is owned and operated by two Academy grads. I'll always come here and support USNA fam. read more

Wow is all I can say. I have a dear friend staying with her family in Annapolis during this pandemic, and tomorrow is her birthday. I waited far too long to send anything (or so I thought.) After nearly an hour trying to find a flower shop or dessert shop that could deliver next-day, I stumbled upon Mills Fine Wine and Spirits. My friend adores wine, especially Cabernet Sauvignon. Not only were they able to accommodate my last minute delivery request, they walked me through all of the options and helped me choose the perfect assortment of three wines. The associate who helped me also wrote a note, packaged it perfectly, and asked if I'd like to see a picture of the product... she texted me the picture right after! What a fantastic place with an incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful staff. Support Mills if you're in the Annapolis area. They have a phenomenal selection and are so knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for helping me send some vino love to my bff from afar during these crazy times! read more

Mills Fine Wine and Spirits - Stunning packaging of three hand-selected cabs by Mills knowledgeable staff! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

Bottom Line: Historic location, lovely displays, friendly service, huge variety of wine and lots of booze and beer goodies too. I had some friends visiting Annapolis for the first time from the West Coast. Of course I had to show them downtown Annapolis because there are so many lovely historic sites, delicious eateries, quaint streets and cute clothing shops. Scratch that. We spent most of our time in Mills Fine Wines & Spirits and its easy to do. This store is just nice. The building is historic and the interior is well organized and aesthetically pleasing. Despite a huge selection, you can easily find what you are looking for thanks to clear labeling and friendly staff. In addition to filling my trunk with a variety of beers (including some gluten free and low-gluten options) and newish Deep Eddy Grapefruit vodka, we found some really cool mixers like Owl's Brew tea. This is definitely the type of place you want to come when you are not in a rush because there is lots to pursue. read more

When these guys host vendors, these vendors don't joke around! I walked in to look for Copa di vino individualized wine servings (which they didn't have) and stumbled across George and his Maryland based Bloody Mary mix! It's spicy and delicious with lots of goodness- it's almost like you're drinking salsa. These guys gave me a full cup to "taste." They don't mess around and George says he's not a "sample" kind of guy. Point taken :-) I couldn't finish my "sample" while I was only there for a minute but if you're looking for a great Bloody Mary mix, this is worth a try: http://georgesmixes.com/ read more

Great place. Made me wish I drank wine. Hundreds of bottles of wine. Not one of the numerous staff members ever "beer shamed" me as I bought some beer there. Great location for tourists. Great beer cooler and selection. But if you're a vinophile this place is worth checking out. read more

Fantastic community business. As good a selection as you can fit into a limited-space downtown Annapolis location. WHAT A TREAT! Unless it's a big discount store, or boutiquish, wine stores tend to be dark, dingy and very dusty (it's hard to keep the sleeping children clean...). Mills, the love child of a retiree happily invested in magic potions, is open, bright, clean and with attitude - the kind of happy and celebratory attitude that comes with... WINE... ALL KINDS - the selection is to live for. Both husband and wife Naval Academy grads and successful entrepreneurs approach their baby with TLC and a humility that is endearing. They have the wines you want to drink at a price you want to pay. And drink. Incredibly well thought out, its the business I'd own if I owned this type of business. I'd have a B&B with a wine store like this attached to it... read more

Beer: A very nice surprise- probably the best beer store in Annapolis. It is a massive wine store with about 90% wine, but in the back corner and in the back walk-in refrigerator room there is a lot of craft beer. You can do a mix-and-match your own six pack thing for $10 no matter what's in it. I had Weyerbacher 15 and Celebrator in one of mine! I actually got three of the mix-and-match packs with a total of 18 different beers I've never tried before! This place also had a bunch of random hard to find large format bottles. Lots of random Belgian stuff I usually don't see in the states. Really a nice surprise. Definitely worth stopping by. The guy let me have a sweet Troeg's glass for free! Whiskey: They stock some impressive bottles with not much markup on special releases. I was able to find a bottle of Arbeg 1990 Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist, which is all but extinct. Wine: Staff recommendations for wine were spot on. They really took the time to walk us through the selection and mention a variety of bottles at different price ranges. read more

I wanted to get a bottle of champagne for a client's birthday in Annapolis without having to make the 1 hour drive myself. So I thought, why not call and see if a local wine/liquor shop would be kind enough to do so. After getting the cold shoulder on my first call to a location in Annapolis, I reached Mills Wine and Spirit Mart. A very friendly gentleman picked up the phone and unhesitatingly agreed. Said that it was close by and he could drop it off no problem. Now that is service :D! Per his request I e-mailed him all the information and am awaiting a receipt/confirmation as well as the delivery. As of now I am a very satisfied customer and the next time I am in Annapolis I plan on paying the store a visit to say thanks and maybe pick up some spirits for myself. read more

This place is great. Great beer, wine and liquor selection and a helpful, friendly staff. I went in last week looking for local beers and I found a selection that is unmatched in the area. In addition, I asked for some recommendations and was pointed towards two delicious, but very different brews from two different breweries. I also was able to have a nice chat about local breweries and the products they're currently making. Nice selection plus a knowledgeable staff makes this place five star worthy in my book. (they also have a great selection of somewhat obscure liquors and liqueurs, for those in need) read more

My friends moved and I wanted to send them champagne but I live out of state, and since Maryland doesn't allow wine to be shipped there, Mills saved the day! They were super friendly helpful and knowledgeable - all over the phone! - and delivered perfectly to my friends' house. Far away, too! Mills went above and beyond and has an excellent selection of delicious wines with a wide variety of price tags. Their website lists an extensive inventory anyway...and their helpfulness made me think that if they don't have what you need, they will find it! read more

I was always impressed with the French wine collection at Mills Wine and Spirit. It was great to visit the store after so long. I took my friends over to show them what I meant, the ones who knew French wines were very impressed with what they had at the store. With regions like Pauillac to Pommerol to Chateau Neuf Du Pape to Hermitage to Bandol. There were $200 bottles of Sauternes or Bordeaux just sitting on the racks. It was wine porn for me. They also had a great selection of German, Australian and South African wines. For the fourth of July they ran a special on French wine, buy one bottle and get the other half off. I guessed I got too carried away but I was happy with two bottles of 2005 Domaine Grand Veneur Chateau Neuf Du Pape and two bottles of 2005 Domaine de L'Hermitage Bandol. read more

Great selection. Staff is on point with recommendations. This is the one to go to if downtown.

This is one of the better wine stores in Annapolis. The selection is broad, and more importantly, the help is just that--helpful. And knowledgeable. If you're having a dinner party, tell them what you're having and they'll match you with a bottle of wine (or several). If you're looking for something, describe what you want and they'll hand you a great one that matches everything you are looking for. They have a great selection in all price ranges--they are a little pricey, but if you either dont' know what you're looking for, or want something outside of the usual ones that every liquor store carries (Yellowtail, Alice White, Kendall Jackson. You know the ones), give this place a try. It's well worth it. read more

I was visiting Annapolis for the day and wanted to stop in here to find a good bottle of wine. They had a lot of variety and the layout of the different types were well marked. They had good wine for a low price or you could fine some for a hundred plus if you really wanted. They had a wine tasting when I went and the woman helping us was really nice and guided us in the right direction for what we liked. Overall there's a great selection of wine and beer. I want to like this place but I don't think I should give a good review just because I'm grateful a store exists in downtown Annapolis that sells wine. I went in today and experienced no service, no friendliness from staff, who were all gathered together talking and chatting. It's a slow day - that's fine - but can we at least muster a smile or hello when I come to the counter to pay? Also, I began to ask the salesperson - perhaps the owner? - about the sale signs and was interrupted - "The sale is this weekend." I really hate being interrupted. Also -why are there sale signs up now when the sale isn't until the weekend? Good thing I didn't pick any sale wines. By the way, on a previous visit I asked if they have Soave and was given a blank look. When they located it for me they just left - no suggestions, no conversation. So I haven't experienced the helpfulness and expertise other yelpers mention, at least so far. The place is cluttered and dusty and the layout is confusing. I think I'll take my business over to Bin201 where at least they pretend to be friendly and there are no signs saying, "Don't come into this section if you are carrying a bag." Seriously? read more

The beer selection is one of the best around. The best part is that they let you customize your own 6-pack. I struggled to find respectable hefeweizen, but they had several varieties that I was able to personalize. The price was a little high, but it's about right for imported or micro brews. I can't speak on the wine because I don't touch the stuff. read more

We walked in to get a bottle of wine but walked out empty handed. I was trying to ask a couple questions to a guy working, but he wasn't at all interested in helping us. I had called last week to order the 2010 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for a special dinner party in Annapolis. Being that I had ordered this item all the way from San Francisco for a Tuesday Annapolis delivery- I was concerned about the ETA with current traffic, weather conditions, ect. After one failed delivery (on my part, I had failed to provide the actual number to call, instead had entered my own), Jen & Jerry where fantastic as they ensured care and delivery on time for the second attempt. Jen had called to let me know that it arrived in one piece. We couldn't be more happier for choosing Mills to handle this for us, despite all my follow up phone calls ;) Thanks you guys! read more

Great local spot! They recently change ownership but the new owners sent out emails to those subscribed to their listing they plan on making a few changes to the tastings schedule and selections. They often have tastings that range from featured whiskeys, wines, gins and vodkas. read more

Jen and the entire team at Mills Fine Wine made my wedding weekend so easy. We chose them off a recommendation from our caterer, Barb Duvall at Bowl of Cherries, because she said she had great experiences with them. She was very right! They responded promptly to emails and picked up every time I called, which was very important as a long-distance bride. We changed our order no fewer than six times, and every time, they were prompt and polite about it. We even went into the store to look at some of their selection (two days before the wedding), and they walked us through all of it and offered some suggestions for drinks for the bridal party on the bus (mini prosecco in a can with a straw - what's not to love??). Their suggested amounts and types of drinks were spot-on, and they delivered everything to the venue chilled. The wines & beers they picked were really good, very reasonably priced, and perfect for Annapolis in August. We even used them for our rehearsal dinner the night before. We were going to pick up drinks ourselves for that, since it was a picnic at a local house, but then compared prices and realized how competitive they were with the local liquor store - and you can't beat the service of getting everything delivered, ready-to-drink! I highly, highly recommend using Mills for all of your drink deliveries - and even stop by their store! I wish we were local, we'd go in for all of their tasting nights and fun events! read more
