We like this store near our home, particularly for the variety of liquor and beer that they stock. I visited there today; it was my first trip post-pandemic. They have made some adjustments to comply with the new requirements. Twenty (20) customers at a time may enter. There is a table by the entrance with hand sanitizer. It is a large store, so this allows for comfortable distancing. I found my liquor choices easily, as their rows and sections are well marked. They also have cute serving, kitchen, bar novelty items. The beer is all across the back, and they have more choices there than most of our local stores. I purchase wine there too, but overall, I think other stores are more competitive with the wine prices. They have set up plexiglass partitions at the checkout to protect the cashiers. Drew is a Rock Star! We worked with Bay Ridge on the beverages for our daughter's wedding reception. At our initial meeting with Drew, he worked through numbers and types of beverages with us, listening to our requests and comments, and then working to find the right wines & beer to fit within our budget. On reception day, they showed up early, dropping off the beverages and ice, giving the servers plenty of time to set-up before the reception. We had left over wines and beers, and Bay Ridge took back all unopened boxes and packages, making it easier on our budget. This place cracks me up every time I go in here. They have the "Liquor Store" side and the cute "Gourmet Store" side. It seems like they are trying to appeal to the yuppy foodies AND the off the street drunks. I have ordered kegs from this place as well as picked up local wine. This is the place where I go to for local wine and beer. They have a HUGE selection of Boordy Wines and Wines from St. Michael Vineyards. The gourmet store has the most adorable gifts! They have very unique wine bags. They're not your typical vertical wine bags that look like wine bags, they have cute bags that look like cute purses. The gifts here appeal to girly foodies who love wine. They don't have too many manly gifts for the manly man.....I suggest you go over to the beer section on the liquor side for gifts for the manly man... Walked in with husband to buy wine, beer and liquor for a large party and received no assistance with selection, getting ice or even taking all the items to our cars. I was happy to discover this place in a strip mall just a few blocks down the street from my home. Not that I'm a huge drinker, but I do like the occasional beer or glass of wine, and this is the first liquor store I went into in Annapolis that didn't give me the creeps and make me consider a carry permit. It's been an adjustment moving here from California, where even Toys R Us executives will probably find some loophole soon that will let them start stocking alcoholic beverages; practically every other store already does. Anyway, to the point, Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits is BIG, and well stocked with a huge selection of beer, wine, hard liquor, and everything you'd want to go along with it. Whether you want an expensive little bottle of champagne to toast the memory of old friends, or a gallon of cheap rotgut to help you forget that new restraining order, they've got you covered. There's even a nice little gift shop/wine tasting area in a room off to the side. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is roomy, clean, and well-lit, and you can relax and roam the aisles in search of your favorite poison, without worrying about whether your car will still have its wheels when you get back to the parking lot with your purchases. So, I just moved to the area and I was looking for a liquor store that had a great variety. After going to a few around Annapolis, I discovered that most had your staple Coors, Bud and big name breweries. I was looking for craft beers, mainly from some of the breweries I just left in Colorado (Oskar, Left Hand, New Belgium...). Well at Bay Ridge I found my Oskar Brewing Co, (specifically Mamma's Lil' YELLA Pils). Not only did they have this great craft beer but they also had a great collection of some of the country's great breweries. Aside from the beers, they have a HUGE selection of wine and liquor. This is about Phil, his store and their amazing semi-annual dollar over invoice sale that just can't be beat anywhere. Class VI included. After driving 77 miles behind a full day's work and spending over an hour on the floor carefully selecting product to put in the cart (and eventually on the bar!), texting family and searching the net, the last thing I needed to hear at checkout was "We don't take out of state checks." What??? But it's Virginia! Uh, no, sir, this is Maryland. No, I know that! I mean my check - it's Virginia! It's not like the bank is in North Dakota somewhere! Sorry, sir; that's our policy. Didn't you see the sign? What sign?? And on it went. That was last year's scene. And actually I didn't remember it all that well, but I do remember the manager having pity on a completely disheartened military retiree with a full shopping cart in the middle of the night, a couple of minutes to closing. Thank you, kind sir. And bless you. Fast forward to this day, Wednesday. Same circumstances, long drive after work etc, etc. This time, I have significantly more product in the cart. (How much more, you ask? Well, let's just say I'm still hiding the receipt from the wife.) And all I remembered is that they took my check last year. I did remember it took a minute, so this time I had called ahead to ask - but I asked the wrong question! I asked if the check policy had changed from last year. (And the audience groans.) They said no; I said good. Obviously, I should have asked them to tell me what the check policy is. Classic illustration of asuming: made up of an ASS, a U and a ME...and in this case, just ME! Enter Phillip's kindheartedness. They got him on the phone b/c I told them I had talked to him earlier. But honestly, it wasn't about the check policy, it was about what they would stock for the sale. And actually, we had traded emails on that subject, and in that same sitting I called the store to ask about the check policy. And the person who picked up the phone wasn't Phil, but she said that the policy was the same, and..., and..., and... Phil could have shot it down right there. Story ain't matching; that's not what you said outside. Absolutely true, but this was one of those times when your memory of events becomes clearer as things get progressively worse and it comes too late to fix what's going wrong. Like I said, Phil could have just stopped it right there. But he didn't. He recalled our exchange - more accurately than I did by the way - and told Teddy, the floor manager who looked like he had no problem booting my ass right out of there, to just make sure that all the info on driver's license matched all the info on the check. That was cool beyond all reason to be cool. Phil, you are the man! And thank you. Not just for saving my bacon, but for running a first class operation, and showing us what it should look like. This place is pretty decent if you're in the Easport/Bay Ridge part of Annapolis. There is a large selection of pretty much everything, and a really cool little section for snacks and knicknacks. A bit expensive, and the employees aren't the nicest, but when we're near my better half's mom's place, we always swing by here. read more

I was looking for Soju for quite sometime and couod not find any stores in Annapolis carrying it and did not wanted to drive up to Baltimore for it. After doing some research i called Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits and the lady who answered the phone was courteous and she put me on hold to go check for it once I mentioned to her thst it's a Korean Vodka. She promptly returned and said "Yes". WooHoo! When I came to pick up the Soju, she also gave me a discount (Thanks!) and informed me of the Club that they have. I have been looking for a place with a good beer selection in Annapolis and I have finally found one. There were easily over 150 different beers. Most were not chilled and were stored on shelves which I do not view as a negative, but some may. The selection itself is very diverse and there were beers from many different styles (Porters, Stouts, IPAs, Lagers, etc...) I am a fan of stouts myself and they had traditional stouts, imperial stouts, russian stouts, etc... If you are looking for a good beer, this place definitely should be on your list. read more

A sort of cross between a BevMo! and a Total Wine and More, i.e. a giant alcohol emporium for stocking up for parties. Fortunately, they have a massive craft beer selection. Tons of six packs and cases and lots in the fridge. They claim 560 different beers in stock. Probably accurate. They had some random, hard to find import bottles. They also had a few De Molen beers to my surprise including Heaven and Hel, an all-time favorite of mine. Prices were pretty decent and fair given the oddities they stocked and the random location.
