Beautiful vineyard! The day that we visited was an ideal early autumn day. It was not too warm or too cool, but just right. The check-in process was efficient. Instead of sitting outside where most visitors were, we opted for indoor seating. Other than a group that was in a private room and the people who briefly came in from the outdoor seating area, we were the only people in the main area for the duration of our visit. The outdoor seating was covered and not too far from the actual vineyard. The indoor seating was more rustic with a farmhouse ambiance. We really stopped by for content, so it was perfect. We ordered some Rose' along with the hummus and chips. The wine was good and the hummus was too. The staff members were cordial. It was a nice little visit.

An amazing view. Great wine. You can get it by the glass or bottle. Plenty of seating. We elected the red blend and it was fantastic.

This is my first time not last time at this winery. I went for the tour and tasting. My phone was t working outside but I did get phots of the grape plants. We were in a group of 8 people for the tour. We went from hot steamy temperature to cold. The farm is organic and environmentally friendly. He spoke of how the soil is being replenished in their growing process which sounded quite complicated . But they seemed to know what they were talking about. If you are unsteady in your feet skip the tour. It is a little rough. My group was outside and it started raining. We ran inside the processing plant where they store the wine in oak barrels. They order their barrels from France. They sell them after 2 years. What a nice tour this was for me and the group. Everyone enjoyed it Jenn was our tour guide. Jenn was knowledgeable about the wine offerings and the wine making process. The grounds are lovely. The owner came to speak to us. He tried to quiz about what we learned. They do provide a lot of information about how the wine is made . They have sheep and pigs. It's a whole vibe. I will be back!

I love the wines here. So I'm not into sweet wines, don't come here and expect what you get at Boordys or Linganore. These wines are outstanding! 10/10 come to this place! Why.... First of all let me start with service, the best! We were greeted upon driving up to the property, and this happened for everyone I did standard self guided tasting. The ladies were super attentive, quick with delivery of food and water refills, and more importantly friendly and engaging and helpful. Food: basic charcuterie options, however, I will say the Brie, blue and cheddar was so delicious that I actually researched where the cheese came from and it's local to Maryland in the eastern shore. I'm scared of that bridge so I ordered it online and received it with in 2-3 days. shout out to Chapels Country Creamery! We tried all the meats, all the cheeses, feta dip and original hummas and we tried sea salt and parm pita chips, plus olives! Everything 10/10! Place: cute, very clean bathroom, and awesome views of vineyards I have to come back when trees are blooming and then maybe when they fall because I imagine that's even more beautiful. Wines: back to wine. This place renewed a love for Chardonnay that I thought was lost forever. I had a Robert Mondavi Chard back in 2014 and I guess the cork had gone bad, and let's just say it felt like when you take one too many shots of tequila and get sick and then the smell just turns you off and makes you want to vomit. Well that is how I felt about Chards after that until Dodon! The aroma and taste delightful not oaky, clean nice finish. Honestly it might be the only Chardonnay I will ever drink. The other wines were great too. They have body and taste like they were made with love. I was just super impressed with chard because I haven't drank one since 2014 because the smell often turns me off instantly, but it was part of the tasting and I don't waste wine! And it was my absolute favorite!

What's wild is we typically drive hours to different Vineyards because wine, beautiful views, and good company has become our thing. Who knew we were driving hours away for something we pretty much had in our backyard?! I had The Vineyards at Dodon marked as a potential destination for the Mrs. and I for a long time now, but never really went out of our way to go because I assumed it wasn't as impressive as some of the Vineyards we typically frequent, mostly because it's so close to home. I am not ashamed to say I was completely wrong. Even with the influx of cicadas buzzing, we were able to have an amazing time doing tastings, and sipping delicious Chardonnay. The host pointed out that they typically go by reservations but was gracious enough to allow us to find a table and enjoy ourselves. This place is beautiful. The staff was knowledgeable, and helpful, and we will definitely be returning.

First time at this winery. They had a farm on the land also. The view was simply amazing. Our server Jayden was amazing as well. It was very quiet and nice. The day and weather was perfect to be here. I cannot wait until it gets warms and come back to visit.

Glassy view of personal tasting room.

The tour guide did a wonderful job at showing us everything from the wine cellar to the vineyards. She also gave us recommendations of ideal time frames to visit the vineyards. To no fault of their own, I do find the wine a bit flat. Very fresh and potent flavor that seems to not have any residual flavor in your mouth. That's just a personal preference I have. They charcuterie board was delicious

I have lived in Annapolis for four years now, and had heard of Dodon, but had never been there until 2020. I joined their wine club last fall. Joining the club is free, but then you agree to buy an allocation of wines in the spring and the fall. The choices vary each time, and you can make some substitutions. Someone in the party needs to be a member in order for your group to reserve a table for a tasting. They have an online reservation system. It is not a huge operation and they manage the flow very well. The grounds are truly lovely. The vineyards are part of a large 500 acre farm. I took a friend today and we had a great afternoon. I have not usually been a Rose drinker, but their Reserve Rose is really SO good. I also love their Drum Point wine (a blend of sauvignon blanc and chardonnay). We took our own small picnic. The server was extremely pleasant. They are not allowed to take tips. I could go every weekend and still enjoy the view (and the wine).

Great wine and excellent service in a beautiful setting. It doesn't get any better! I attended an event here in 2018 and immediately fell in love with Dodon. It's a hidden gem of southern Maryland, managed and staffed by people who are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about winemaking. It's quickly become my favorite place to relax on the weekends! Wine club members enjoy special hours, events and access to the tasting room. You will often find the owners (and Oliver their sheep dog!) leading tours or popping in to say hello to their guests and share the history of the Dodon family property and the vineyard itself. All fascinating. I think tastings are held Friday and Saturday afternoons by appointment; first time visitors should absolutely call ahead for a reservation. This is a family property and small business with limited availability. When you visit, you truly are a guest of the family that lives on the property. They allow children to visit the pavilion and outdoor areas but the indoor tasting room and deck are adults only. I have young children and find their policies completely reasonable and easy to manage with little ones. There's a place for everyone to relax here with or without children. The policy is on the website as well to review ahead of time. Thanks to Tom and Polly and their family for their graciousness and hospitality in opening the vineyard to the public, and to Regina especially and the rest of the staff for always providing outstanding professional service that makes me feel welcomed at each visit.

I went here last weekend for a tasting with our friends. We had a certificate which we bid on from the CCA banquet last year. I didn't know about the vineyard until we won the tasting. I am so happy we went. The property is vast and the family has owned it since the 1700's. Brianna gave us a tour and led the tasting which was informative and interesting. We walked around the grounds a bit, viewed the space and enjoyed the tasting room- a lovely wooden space with views of the vineyard. We tried the South Slope 2015, 2016 Chardonnay, and 2017 Sauvignon Blanc. They currently have blends only and they were robust in flavor. We met Tom, one of the owners who is a highly intelligent man with his PhD in a scientific field which I cannot recall. You can tell he puts his all into every little detail which yields the final product, delicious wine. They have a wine club which I didn't join but I would definitely consider it in the future. We purchased two bottles, the Chardonnay $ 28 and the South Slope red blend $ 31. They did offer gluten free crackers for my friend who has Celiac sensitivity but the cheese and crackers were otherwise bland. It would have been nice to have a beautiful charcuterie plate. Happy to see this family run farm succeed - they sell their wines at local spots including Harvest Thyme Tavern. Tastings by appointment only.

Man and son enjoying a winery. (Toddler drinking water)

The staff are all super nice! They take covid seriously, which is refreshing, but also want to make sure you can enjoy yourself. The staff are all really good at their job and really nice! They were really nice to our whole family. It is weird that you have to pay to reserve a picnic table, but that just means you are doing it for a special reason. Our toddler son loved meeting the sheep. And playing on the hill. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it a great time? Yes.

I'm so happy I found this place! The vineyard is beautiful and the people are so friendly. I joined the wine club last year after enjoying one of their tasting sessions. On Sundays in the summer they offer Dodon 'til Dusk from 4-8pm. You can bring your own food or you can pre-order some really delicious meals and sip great wine outside in the vineyard. Great wine, friendly people and beautiful scenery!

Such a gem in southern Maryland and so supportive of local organizations. This vineyard is working to ensure that Maryland farmers receive support from the community and the legislature. Not only are they community leaders but the wine is delicious - whites, roses and reds and there is even a wine club you can join at no cost.

I was really impressed by their commitment to supporting the community and showcasing other small businesses. That intention shows up in every detail, from the collaborations to the overall vibe. The food was so good. The jerk chicken was a standout, flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the charcuterie board was fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully done. Pair that with their wine cocktails and you're in for a treat. They're creative, well-crafted, and honestly some of my favorite wine-based cocktails I've had. What really sets Boyd Cru apart is that it's family-owned and operated, and they truly make you feel like family while you're there. Warm, welcoming, and intentional. Bonus: the space is also available to rent for private events, which is such a great option for anyone looking to host something intimate and meaningful. Highly recommend stopping by, whether for a tasting, a cocktail, brunch on Sundays or to support a local gem that's doing things the right way.

The whole place is a vibe. The decor is thoughtful, intentional, cozy, and inviting. The staff were welcoming, genuine, and extremely knowledgeable. Whether your are vino virgin or a cultured connoisseur, this spot is unpretentious and overwhelmingly welcome. But make no mistake... these ladies know their way around a grape, and they are well equipped to tell you whatever you need to know about what's in your glass. Let's get into these wines. I highly recommend the flight to get familiar with the different wines they have to offer. The Sparkling Vidal Blanc is not included in the pairing, so go on and get you a glass of that too. Trust me. The "Community" Vidal Blanc is easily one of the best bottles of white that has ever blessed my palate. Crisp, refreshing, full of bright, summery flavors but not too sweet... it's practically begging to be paired with a delicious plate of seafood (preferably one cooked with butter and lots of garlic). This is a great sipping wine, and an even better one to pair with dinner. The "Free Spirit" rose is another great sipping wine. Light, slightly sweet, and full of character, this was also a really great glass of wine. I like my reds a little bolder, so the "Living Legacy" red was not my favorite. It was still a good sip, and if you enjoy reds a little on the lighter side, this might be for you. Still worth a try in my book. Now I love bubbles and the only thing I enjoyed more than the vidal blanc was the sparkling vidal blanc! There's so much character in this bubbly... you'll have to taste and experience it for yourself. For me personally, it's high on the list of the best sparkling wines I've every had. If a plain glass of wine is not your thing, no worries. They also offer a number of wine-based cocktails, as well. In partnership with nearby businesses, the winery offers a limited variety of snacks including charcuterie boards, flatbreads, cake flights, as well as trail mix and popcorn available at the bar. I got the Smith Island Cake flight. While it's definitely not authentic Smith Island Cake, it's good to curb a raging sweet tooth. Speaking of partnerships, the winery also offers products from other local small businesses for sale: spices, body care products, jewelry and other items... So you can sip and shop. A few small areas of improvement I would recommend. -More, bigger and better signage...especially on the street. I was driving all around the area, then roaming all over Savage Mill Shopping Center before I finally found my way. -Provide more parking details, landmarks and directions on the website. (I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood, only to find that there was a free parking lot available). -Expand snack offerings... perhaps sell individually packaged snacks from local businesses for purchase within the winery. -Consider adding a flight that will allow patrons to try all of the wines available. Shoutout to Eden and the crew for such a fantastic afternoon of good vibes and great wine. I'll be back... and I'm bringing friends!

I think it's the only winery in Laurel so I definitely wanted to come and support. I first went to check it out and see what information I could get to reserve for a large party. It's kind of located in the cut of main st but there's plenty of street parking. Walk in and you'll see there are two settings. It's very welcoming and warm with beautiful decor and many seating on both sides. I explained to the gentleman what I wanted and he said it shouldn't be no problem just reach out to the events manager. It was a bit last minute, I sent an email on 9/22 to come on 9/28 at 5:30pm (had to confirm the number of people). Just to clarify, we spoke on the phone and email for communication of all information. I noticed they had an event that same day but it started earlier in the day and the events manager told me it should end before my guests arrive. I told her I was having 20 people total and I was ordering two charcuterie boards. Everything was confirmed and good to go as I thought. My guests were letting me know they were arriving but were seated in the smaller area. I was hoping by the time I got there it would be handled but no they already started ordering in the smaller area and the staff there said they were told only 10 people were suppose to come but I showed them the emails. The event they had ran longer than it should have which I wish I would have known just to let my guests know. The staff then tried to fix it but literally a whole hour and half later. Once we got in the event room, we had our charcuterie boards and others order their suya and jollof rice. They did not finish their food, it actually looked dry. Before the day, I was told my guests were not able to do flights but the day of they were able to order. I wanted to order some for the party but it's okay, we all figured out which wine we liked best and a couple bought bottles. To end it, the staff brought out a cute cupcake for my friends to wish me happy birthday. They have a speaker for you to connect if you want to play your own music. Other than that, we had fun. Regardless, I'm going to have fun. I recommend to go and have your own experience. I will definitely come back for a last minute date or just to pick up one of the wine bottles I liked.
