I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Two Lions Vineyards. My group visited expecting a relaxing afternoon at a winery. Instead, we were repeatedly approached about reserving a table in the glass house with a $600 minimum spend. We declined because we simply wanted to enjoy wine like we have at many other wineries. One of the most surprising things was their policy requiring reservations for groups of eight or more. In my opinion, that's unusual for a winery. I've visited many wineries throughout Maryland and Virginia, and I've never encountered a policy like this. As soon as our group reached eight people, it felt like staff were watching us constantly. We couldn't even socialize with other guests without being approached by staff, who questioned whether we knew them and repeatedly reminded us that our group had reached the limit of eight people. We felt singled out and closely monitored throughout our visit. The constant attention made what should have been a relaxing afternoon feel stressful and uncomfortable, so our group made the decision to leave. To make matters worse, after we left I received an email from the owner accusing me of disrupting operations, harming their business, violating their policies, and demanding that I remove references to the winery from my event listing. I strongly disagree with those accusations and found the tone of the email to be unnecessarily hostile, especially since our group chose to leave rather than continue our visit. In my opinion, this establishment feels much more like a lounge or private event venue than a traditional winery. If you're looking for the welcoming, laid-back experience that most wineries provide, I would recommend visiting one of the many other wineries in the area instead. read more

Lovely experience! I enjoyed two lions, not too far from where I live. It's large, beautiful, and great wines. The flatbread was just okay, but good enough to allow us to put something on our stomach with the wine. We went for a Friday happy hour and would certainly come again. From the moment we walked all hosts and services were attentive and explained the tastings and wine lists. I tried flight # 1 with the semi-sweet wines and also added seasonal sangria- blueberry lavender during a girls date. After the flight, I ordered glasses of the Fleur de Lionne and Love and Rose - both were refreshing on a hot day. We ordered the meatball flatbread and pepperoni flatbread, the flatbread was crispy and flavorful. This is still one of my favorite Maryland wineries. From the very first visit to my most recent visit, I always enjoy coming to Two Lions. The vbes and the ambiance is really nice. I love that the employees are so engaging including the owners, Callie and Brad, who always stop by to check on patrons no matter how busy things are. I really appreciate this type of customer service. My last visit we tried the mulled wine which was really good. As they described it, it's "Christmas in a cup." I had to get my favorite wine, Lion's Share! I'm sad that they're closing up for the season soon. If you've never been, I believe this upcoming weekend (December 13th and 14th) is their final weekend so make a reservation if you want to go. read more

The sun was shining and it was a truly beautiful day at Two Lions. I was there for a private party. The host greeted us and walked us over to the glasshouse. Waitress was prompt and ran through all the different offerings. Most of us did the sweet flight. It was very nice. Kind of mild. But the sangria... 10 out of 10. I wish I could have bottled that up and took it with me. The food was good, but it did take a while to get it out to the table. We arrived maybe around 3 and the kitchen closed at 4 and we got our food like 345. There was a $600 minimum for the glasshouse. We had to keep adding items to get to that minimum, this place is nicely affordable. Sad news, you can't frolic through the vineyeard, not even for a quick pic. Still a lovely day spent. read more

Wine tastings galor! This was such a cute venue. Parking was a plenty, they also had outdoor seating with a covered area. I love the view because it's just a rolling hills of vineyard grapes and its very picturesque farm. I also liked their furniture. I like how they had different flights for the different types of wine, like if you know you prefer whites there's a flight for that. My friend and I prefer reds, so we had a flight of the Mane Reserve and we also ordered a vegetarian flatbread. Pretty good flatbread, felt a little uneven though distribution/cut wise. Like some cuts had mostly just the crust. The flight came out in unique glasses which I quite liked. They seemed a bit chilled. The wine was good, so we also ordered two more glasses. The flatbread did take some time to come out but I think they ran across some difficulties. As a compromise they did comp one of our glasses of wine. read more

I came here with my girlfriend for a celebration and really enjoyed myself. I love how the owners and managers are personable, they help the waitstaff with taking and delivering orders, and they also mingle with the guests. It was a warm and welcoming experience. They categorize their wine flights by flavor, for example, sweet or dry. I opted for the sweet flight, as I prefer sweet wine. I also ordered a glass of sangria to go with it. In addition, I ordered a flatbread that was insanely delicious. You're also allowed to bring in outside food, which I did as well. The wines were delicious; however, my favorite was the Fleur De Lioness, which had floral notes and a delicate, divine taste. I ordered a glass of that after enjoying my flight. I made reservations to sit outside, and I'm glad I did, this place gets packed. If you come without a reservation and rely on first-come, first-served seating, it'll be hard to find a spot. The ambiance of this place is out of this world. When I visited, there was a musician playing inside, and the space was nice and spacious. I would most definitely come back! read more

I visited this winery today after a hike. This is such a beautiful modern winery. The staff is very courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable about all the wines. I had the Sweet Ascent Wine flight which featured the blueberry lavender sangria, red sangria, and Kinship port. They all were very delicious. The Port packed a punch! The atmosphere and ambiance are beautiful. I love the rustic but chic decor and the minimalist design. For me, wine tasting and wineries are more than just fermented grape juice factories. The aesthetic matters. Here, the owners seemingly took pride in bringing simple beauty to the forefront. The grounds are on a hill surrounded by grape vines and pastural lands. One can just imagine what it would look like in a few weeks when spring has sprung! Service was among the best I have ever experienced at a winery. This being my first time at Two Lions, the staff explained the menu and tasting options, and wine styles. They did not over explain the wine by over using tired metaphors like oaky, leathery, and luscious mouth feel. Rather, they described the wine and the various structures and allowed me to ask questions as necessary. In short, they trusted the wine's consumer as opposed to flaunting their connoisseur chops. The whole service experience was a breath of fresh air. Moreover, the owners both, at different intervals, came to the table to greet each guest. Apart from asking about comfort, they offered some insights into the property, winemaking processes, grapes, terrier, and staff-praise. The husband (one of the "Two Lions" tended the grapes. The wife, completing the Two Lion concept," was the wine maker. The wine was good. I added the Femme Fatale Cabernet Franc Rosé and their wonderful Port wine. I am not a Rosé guy, but it was excellent. I can envision sipping a glass on a beautiful warm day. Come try it for yourselves. I opted for the big reds flight (had a lion themed name that I have forgotten) and was not disappointed. I almost think it is too soon to write this review because they had other flights and wines that I have yet to try. I will be back for sure to do that and to update this review. The prices are reasonable but can start to climb as you add more things like charcuterie,, the Femme Fatale, and the Port tasting. It was early when I arrived, noon, and way too early for me to eat. A review of their offerings will have to wait. Although, the flatbread and charcuterie selections did not seem too friendly to pescatarians and those with gluten allergies. I didn't join the wine club, but will certainly consider it once I find the right combination of wine styles after more extensive tastings. Based on the ambience and service alone "Two Lions" is five star. Add in good wine, reasonable prices, and all located within Prince George's County, I can see why people rave over this place. read more

I visited two lions with a friend for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival I was welcomed by a bright open space. The woman who greeted me was friendly and gave me the run down. I decided to be seated inside and listen to the live music. My friend chose a glass and I went for a flight. She wanted a second glass but it never came out. The flight pours felt very light and I also wanted a glass but after being bombarded with different servers when we'd first sat down then we couldn't get any help. The flat bread was pretty tasty but they also never brought us plates or napkins. Who doesn't love a cute trip to a winery! A group of us came here for a relaxing Sunday with some cute sips. The GPS could direct you to the wrong driveway so be sure to look out for the road signs when you get close. We brought our appetites as we ordered all of the flatbreads as well as a charcuterie board. Everyone enjoyed all of the flatbreads. We also tried various wine flights. I got the red wine flight, #4. If you're into dryer reds then you'll enjoy it. They also had hot toddies which, who doesn't love those?! Their hot toddies were quite good. I heard the sangria was good also. Only downside here is that there's no brunch. So don't expect to get any ends etc. Also, there was so specific waiter assigned to our table so it was just a rotation of different people. Because of that something you order could get lost in the fray or take longer than you expected. Overall, two lions was worth the visit and I'd come back! read more

Was able to visit Two Lions Vineyards as part of a winery crawl, if you will. This is one of the most luxurious looking wineries I have ever seen in Maryland. I haven't seen every single one in the state yet (we do have a lot), but it's very possible that they hold the top spot. Two Lions immediately stood out during the crawl because Callie and her husband gave an energetic and passionate history of their wines as we tried them -- not that there's anything wrong with a self-guided approach. I've had the Cuvee in the past, which is super popular, but I tried the steel chardonnay this time around and I really... really like that. It's s clean, crisp, and refreshing. Whether you're on the main floor, in the basement, or in the outside area, each part of this winery is stunning and you're in for a good time. I've got to come for a brunch or one of their fancy dinners... I just might join the wine club at some point. And I need to try their flatbreads, sheesh! read more

Two Lions opened up last year and I have been wanting to go! The only con of our experience was that the service was unfortunately extremely slow, which was not surpising because they were packed and also had a private event. With that being said, the staff were all so nice and I loved that we saw one of the owners, Callie, walking around, helping out, and interacting with guests. One of our waitresses, Erica, was so fun and had an amazing personality. Even with the heat, sitting outside was managable because they have large ceiling fans going. My friend and I both got flight one and enjoyed all three wines. We also got to sample a wine from the wine club, and the owner, Callie, also let us also order any wine we wanted (one each on the house). Our favorites were the red sangria and strawberry basil red sangria. The flatbreads and ice cream were delicious too. Wish we had double of everything lol. I will definitely be back. They also do a different variation of their sangrias weekly so I believe this weeked will be a blueberry lavender sangria. We arrived around 4:20pm on a Sunday. We were sure if they were going to seat us or turn us away since Two Lions closes at 5pm. A young lady greeted us and told us we can sit anywhere. When you walk in it feels like you have left MD and traveled somewhere far. There was a young lady that was singing. The ambiance was immaculate, you can tell whoever was the interior designer had thought out the whole layout. We were not in time for the food services but we asked the servers and they all recommended to come back to try the food. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience with Two Lions yesterday. Apparently, the winery has been having big parties who have gotten rowdy and they are casting a negative net on all groups ! Keep in mind, our group came before and we were awesome guests. First, Callie the owner told us they have reservations and could not sit the rest of our party right next to us . Strange ? When you come as a group of less than 20, why wouldn't you be able to sit the tables next to each other ??? Then she proceeded to tell our group we could go to robin hill or janmark for big parties ? Ummm .... More importantly, no one sat near us or was seated in our area the entire time we were there. It was so bad my friend cancelled her wine membership . Two Lions is too amazing! I enjoyed spending my Saturday here. The property is a beautiful space that sits up on a hill surrounded by the vineyard. The front patio is very scenic. I started with the Cuve & Rose All Day flights, which I really enjoyed the Cuve 382 and Cuve Rose were my favorites out the three. The flat breads pepperoni and the burrata margherita were very tasty. We met Cali one of the winemakers out of the husband-and-wife duo, she was so nice and down to earth. We walked around to the bottom level on the backside of the building, and they have nice patio space for hosting a private event. I took with me a blue berry and lavender mix that I can make a mocktail with and the Cuve Rose, which was bubbly and semi-sweet and easy to drink. Two Lions has been my GO TO winery for over a year, visiting at least twice a month. However, yesterday (Saturday) they were very busy and the service was not good at all. (1) I sat for 20minutes and no one stopped at the table to say "welcome, please give us a few minutes", or "has anyone helped you" - just nothing (2) received a water glass with a cobweb on it. I got the servers attention, she is just going to remove the cobweb. I had to say, "no please take this and if I could get a clean glass". Her response was "sure but I'm not sure how long it will take me". Her tone and face read (oh well) - that's UNACCEPTABLE (3) only 1 person pouring flights on a Saturday and my sister's flight sat on the counter for 15mins before it was given to her. (We watched) (4) our flatbread was lukewarm My 1st ever unpleasant visit. The comment about the water glass just really did it for me. Guess I will look for another quaint spot to frequent. Suggestions: Servers should have assigned tables, however when those tables are not occupied then you assist other areas. Two Lions Vineyard on any Saturday makes for great day if you ask me. Greeted with a smile, great company, tasty food and wine...what more can a girl need?!! We enjoyed the Rosè flights with a taste of mint watermelon sangria- which was good, just too sweet for me. A few friends had the red sangria flights and they enjoyed those as well. The Cuvée was our absolute favorite! We ended up finishing 3 bottles and taking one to go! We also enjoyed a game of corn hole and took in some of the beautiful scenery. Just wish they add some more desserts and fruit and cheese boards to the menu minus the pork!! But I appreciated the salted caramel/dark chocolate when I wanted something sweet lol The key lime and crème brûlée ice creams were tasty as well. Really enjoyed this place. Had the Hot Toddy, using Chardonnay instead of liquor. It is an inventive way to offer a Toddy. Now, I know I don't have to have bourbon or whiskey to make one. I'm a sweet spice fan, so I appreciate that they added whole cloves at the bottom of the cup. Our server Kathy gave us unparalleled friendly and efficient service, even though the place was busy to the max, and she was being pulled in a million different directions. The owner stopped by our table. I appreciate when owners are so invested in their businesses that they aren't "above" making contact with customers. Makes me want to support their businesses even more. I love that there is such a serene spot to unwind in Prince George's county. Two Lions is an incredible winery. It has everything - a wide variety of wines, food, a beautiful outdoor and indoor space, and friendly service. I've tried almost all of their wines at this point and they are all unique and are delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of them but I think my favorites are the Cuvee, the Saintly Lion, Lioness, Folie, and the Kingship. They also have really nice charcuterie boards and you can also bring your own food as well. The staff is super friendly and they will check on you without being overbearing. The inside seating is lovely but it can get a little loud when crowded. The outside is beautiful with views of the vineyards and the rolling countryside, with lots of tables. They also have live music on weekends. Importantly, unlike other wineries in the area, Two Lions is 21+ so plan accordingly. read more

Who can say they have visited a winery randomly and the owners are also serving the tables and working the room taking orders and such. When we arrived the kitchen was about to close, however they saw that other patrons were arriving and did not want to turn us or others away so they extended the kitchen by 20 minutes...top tier customer service. I hate when establishments turn down business which equates to money. They closed at 5, however Cali allowed us to stay and enjoy our wine and flatbreads until 6:30 while they mingled and began clean up. I am becoming a member here due to the service alone, felt like family and as I always say people patronize based off the product and the service. The wines I tried were great but I look forward to trying the other flights next time. Will return soon. read more

Stepping onto the grounds of Gorgeous Prince George's County's brand spanking new winery brought me so much joy! You could smell the newness inside the building. Located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Two Lions Vineyard is a husband/wife owned vineyard that boasts several varietals of wines grown onsite. Currently, the hours of operation are, open every Saturday, from noon to 5pm. They also are available for special events, as a wedding was scheduled to take place the afternoon I was there. They take reservations, have 2 vendors, Beez Knees ice cream and Honey Boards Charcuterie Boxes and they have a few options for people to sit (inside or outside). The biggest kudos I saw, was NO KIDS ALLOWED! Yay!!! No offense, but I never understood the concept of bringing a child to a winery. We arrived on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and was escorted to our reserved table under a covered awning. The view was beautiful. Heads up, the covered patio seating adjacent to the main house doesn't have backs to them and they're made out of wood. They looked pretty uncomfortable. Our table for 4 people was pretty small, but we made it work. None of us really wanted to do a tasting of the various flights, which they offer, but we did want to try their sangrias. They offered a red and white. Both were delicious! We were told they change the flavors weekly. Service was phenomenal!! Lachele was our main server and she went above and beyond to assist us. A true pleasure to be around. Stephanie wasn't even our server, but she would check on us periodically as well. One of the owners, Calle, stopped by to inquire about our favorites and just to welcome us. Very personable touch! The charcuterie board I ordered was absolutely cute and delicious. A bit overpriced, but cute nonetheless. You can bring your own food, water, and other snacks onsite, which I would encourage you to do so. Even the bathrooms were awesome! Clean and comfortable. I'm use to going to wineries and they have the bare minimum for their customers. Not Two Lions! All and all, we had a wonderful time. The live performer was putting us to sleep with songs we never heard of or wanted to hear again and I wish the area where we sat either was blacktop or grass because the small gravel was annoying, and on top of kids not being allowed, I wish dogs weren't either (but as long as they didn't touch me, I'm good) but it was still an awesome experience! Two Lions Vineyards is an amazing winery located in extremely close proximity to DC, which is definitely a plus. You usually have to drive pretty far to get to most wineries - this one feels like it's in the DMVs (DC/Maryland/Virginia) backyard. The winery is beautiful inside and immaculately kept. It's striking as soon as you walk in - how open and bright and beautiful it is. The customer service is top notch! Our server Amy was amazing and she and other members of the staff checked on us constantly. Even the owner came over to welcome us and make sure we were having a good experience. I had the Flight 2 (the chardonnays) and a hot toddy which was really delicious! You usually think of a hot toddy being made with brandy or whisky, but this one is made with wine and it's delicious. It was very soothing on a cool, rainy fall day. To eat we had flatbread pizza, the cheese dip (not pictured) and the French charcuterie board. All of the food was amazing! Coming from the Napa CA area. this local MD winery is the closest thing to home that we can compare to. We did the local tank tasting and had a sampling of the whites (Fleur de Leonne and Cuvee are the stars). then had a sampling of their reds. Needless to say, the owners- Brad and Callie-are one of the most down to earth vintners that we have met who take the time to explain their quality products. I can say that we have found our local wine spot in Southern MD. A gem for Southern MD and we'll certainly be back! read more
