I am only giving it 4 stars because I did not do a full walk through of the place. Either way, I…read morethink the alcohol selection is pretty stellar for a liquor store. What caught my eye (as you may see in the pictures) are the different flavored Moonshine. I was tempted to buy a few but decided not to (funds aren't quite there haha). I did decide to buy the White Chocolate Strawberry Cream flavored one. I am thinking about trying the Snickerdoodle one next if the strawberry one is decent. This store is pretty far from where I reside (it's in Glen Burnie). But if I'm headed to Baltimore again & have time, I'll swing by.

Maryland is a bit like Pennsylvania when it comes to liquor laws only allowing to go to a liquor store to purchase. I did a bit of a search while we were out and found that this was the closest place to where we were. Walking in was a bit overwhelming. There was loads to browse through. But I knew what I wanted when I came in here. I wanted to get a six pack and a bottle of wine. But I had to make sure I had a screw top bottle of wine. I had forgot to pack my corkscrew and did not need to buy another one. After finding the bottle of wine I headed to the cooler and picked out a six pack. Made my way up front and waited behind one other customer. Watching the interactions that the staff had with customers was pretty refreshing. They were polite and had genuine conversations. Pretty decent place to me.

I just moved to the area and went to check out the stores that are around, well I had an awkward…read moreand uncomfortable experience at petite cellars. The behavior during my visit made me feel extremely uneasy. A young man working appeared to be intoxicated as he was slurring his speech while asking to help me, and the way he interacted with me was unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable as a customer. I came in expecting a normal, professional experience, but instead I felt awkward and unwelcome. Regardless of what was going on, customers should be able to shop without feeling uncomfortable or intimidated as he was pushy to sell me on stuff or get me to try something. I felt bad for the other associates at the store as they made eye contact with me with the look of I'm sorry and as I checked out I got the sense the employee at the register was embarrassed and disappointed as I would be too as this person who is obviously a manger and boss of sorts to the other employees. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this store and will not be returning, its worth the longer drive to avoid this place.

Since I was in the area due to visiting a friend, I decided to stop by Cindy's to see if I could find what I was looking for. And of course I did! The selection of bubbly was great! They had a lot of the large bottles in a range of prices. I was able to get a big bottle for $13, which was right in my desired price range. Check out was easy and before I knew it, I was back in my car. To whom this may concern,…read more You should be aware that Allview Liquors in Ellicott City is advertising one price on the shelf of every item and charging a different amount at the register on every item. I spoke with the manager, Justin, and I spoke with his employee, Alex. Alex said "Americans are stupid. They don't read." Something along the lines of how people are not going to notice the difference between the shelf price and the register price. For example, I purchased 6 bottles of moscato wine. The shelf said each item was $7.99; however, when I got to the register, it came up as $8.23 per bottle. I explained to Alex how 25 cents per item per person would really add up and that it was deceitful. He said that they didn't want to pay the 3% credit card fee and that's why they were charging people extra, but this is unbeknownst to the customer. They have a 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch sticker on the door and by the cash registers, saying something along the lines of how the shelf price is the cash price. They very well know that people don't carry cash anymore. I asked repeatedly how do you know what you are paying before you pay for it? They would not answer the question. Eventually, I got the answer that it is 3% more, because they don't want to pay the credit card fee. They have one small line on their receipt about a cash price, but they also say "all sales are final. No returns." My understanding is that this might be illegal--advertising one price consistently over and over throughout your whole store, but charging another for every item at the register.
