    Tasting rums. Family day trip.

Very awesome micro distillery. Definitely recommend stopping in to check out these locally made spirits.

The owner is extremely passionate about what he does, and he makes a great product, too. We brought some home to Califonia with us and are EXTREMELY sad we cant restock our shelves with Lyon products. We had the rum, which was flavorful, had some kick, but very smooth and delicious at the same time. Doesnt get much better! If you can, get a tasting and just chat with the owner... one of the best alcohol tasting sessions I've been to.

Smiles are much bigger after a drink and a tour!

My wife and I had been trying to make our way down to St. Michaels for some time now and we're glad we finally made it! Lyon Distilling not only is run by two of the happiest people you'll ever meet but they make a really great product. We went to the distillery with another couple, had our tasting and then took the tour of where the magic happens. It was our first time doing a tasting / tour like this and was clear to us that Ben and Jamie really know their stuff. They answered every question we threw at them and they really revel in their boozy corner of St. Michaels. Go and check them out. You won't regret it! Ps...I had full intentions of just buying one bottle when we walked in the door. ..I walked out with 3 and now I'm hoping they can ship to NJ!

Next stop, Lyons Distilling Company. Man do they make some killer rum and whiskey, don't miss out! But the Vodka, which is new, the vodka blew me away! I'm all about whiskeys and rum, hence the visit, but this vodka was made for sipping and enjoying with a fantastic flavor! I'm sold for life! Amazing, owners and Distillers, Jamie, Meghan and RB were fun and super knowledgeable! Will be sure to visit every time we're back visiting Mark and Sandy!

Yes, they are prepared in case of a zombie apocalypse!

Their flavored rums are outstanding. The bar I work for has a dedicated cocktail menu for Lyon Rum.

The inside is simple, with the occasional nod to ships at sea, which is easy to do if you have lots of barrels for aging spirits. There is a little bar where they make great cocktails rather quickly. They have spirit-forward as well as citrusy. Never had one I didn't like. The spirits (as of this writing, still available at some local liquor shops) are fantastic. My absolute favorite is the Lady Anne white rum. Some white rums are barely better than rbbing alcohol, but this has character and depth and makes a fantastic mojito. RIP Lost Ark!

We were greeted upon entering and Erik was very friendly. We sat at the bar. He was filling lots of orders (people come to the bar and order, then sit in the rum lounge area) and was still very attentive and welcoming. They do tours and sampling. I booked and made reservation at Harbour Inn- I love that I stayed at before. Approached by a spry lady, I was asked my name - she turned out to be the granddaughter of this 1926 New England Charter, Capt Iris. Very personable and knowledgable as she pointed out things along St Michaels banks e.g., The Perry Inn and the focal point filming of The wedding crashers. The name Selina, itself had family virtue and significance-pronounced different ways, the one I remember is as in Selena Gomez. We were also quizzed on how many tons the vessel weighed. My guess way low-16 tons!!. We marveled at the woodwork and upkeep of the ship and hours to maintain- not to mention gas cost. We were offered our choice of beverage- I had a tasty Chardonnay, although I'm not sure the brand. The first mate. Was agile at that point coasting in a nice spot to put up the sail, beautiful as the sky was starting to cast its evening glow with the sunset. It was truly relaxing as we made small talk about catfish and enjoyed the ambiance. I then had a second Pinot Noir however the water being a little choppy declined a third- we were Rockin ! a little with wind picking up. It was a very enjoyable outing and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Next time I want to be at the helm lol, if only for a photo shot. The building is really cool, and there were already quite a few people dining in the main room. We prefer to sit at the bar, so we saddled up and were greeted by a friendly bartender. I'd give them a higher rating, but the beer selection was a bit limited. (It's technically a distillery, but they also brew beer.) The beer I had was decent, and my wife really enjoyed her seasonal cocktail. Now comes the really good part--the food. The menu was interesting, and there were several things we wanted to try. We settled on the pepperoni wood-fired pizza, and it was phenomenal. A lot of places get part of a pizza right but miss on others. Alfred didn't miss a thing: the crust was perfect, the sauce was spot-on, the toppings were generous, and there was so much cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Another highlight was getting to meet Alfred and hearing the history of the company. It's obvious he has a passion for his business and customers, and it's clear he's well-liked in the community.
