It brings that easy, coastal energy that makes you want to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy where you are. My husband, pup, and I stopped by on a Monday for lunch on our way to St. Michaels. It was fairly empty, they were power washing the deck area but luckily, they still had their gazebo open so we could still have lunch with our little pup. The hostess and waitress were so kind, friendly, and accommodating! They brought out a water bowl for our dog. We ordered the whole oysters flash fried (special of the day), the shrimp and grits, and the shrimp salad sandwich with island fries (upgraded for 3.50). The oysters were fantastic. Freshly fried and super juicy. We loved them. Our sandwich and shrimp&grits took a while to get to us, but worth the wait. The shrimp in the grits were massive. My husband couldn't finish it all. The shrimp salad was stellar. And the brioche bun went so well. I will say the island fries had a spice we didn't love. The queso dip it came with was good. Didn't love the chili aioli it came with. It was weirdly sweet. I'd probably stick to the regular fries next time. Service is a little slower than were use to, but it definitely fit the vibe of the area. Just low key and relaxing. Checked out Bridges while on the area. The restaurant is stunning and well decorated. Our server was excellent as well. The food was decent - it was slightly overpriced in my opinion, likely because of the location/amount of tourists. I would return but with tempered expectations. The food and setting was great! I enjoyed the crab cake, it was nothing but crab meat. My husband ordered the fish n chip, it was delicious. My daughters shared wing and fries and they enjoyed it. The wings weren't the big steroid wings which was great! I ordered a strawberry field drink it was okay. My husband ordered the Paloma which was very good. The service was great! My wife has been dining here with a large group of mostly the same people for the past few years and has always raved about the food, so I decided to join them. Our group of 16 had a reservation and arrived on time. We were seated promptly, and the beach like atmosphere was inviting. From inside, we enjoyed a pleasant breeze and a clear view of the water just beyond the deck, where guests were dining outside. The food was outstanding. I ordered cream of crab soup, and it was one of the best I have ever had, which says a lot given that I have lived in Maryland most of my life and tried many versions. My wife ordered the Island Fries as a starter, and they were beer-battered and delicious. For dinner, I chose the Shrimp and Grits, which was incredible. The shrimp were huge, and the flavor was exceptional. It was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. Based on everyone's feedback, every dish at the table was excellent, with no disappointments in flavor. Now to the service. When we go with large parties, usually more than one server is assigned. This was not the case, but I still give leniency to all things considered. From the time we were seated, it took quite a while to get water and menus. From that point, our server was very attentive. She was very patient, especially considering not only the large party, but mostly older people who are not focused. With that being said, I have one complaint and that is why I did not give this a 5-star review. My daughter and my wife both ordered the same meal. As a side, my daughter asked for the mashed potatoes but specifically asked if they had potato skins in them, and she was told they were just fluffy with only the potato part and no skin. She also asked for her dish to be made without the onions as she doesn't like them. Her potatoes came out with the skins, and her meal came out with onions. In addition, my wife ordered the same exact meal, and her shrimp was dark and almost looked seasoned, where as my daughter's were perfect. It turns out my wife's were overdone which you can see in the pictures below. When this was all brought to the attention of the server, she looked dumfounded and didn't offer any solutions, like to have the one dish remade. She did offer to replace the mashed potatoes with something else. My daughter just accepted the other side, picked out the onions and ate her dinner as she was frustrated and didn't want to wait to have it remade while everyone was already eating. All in all, a good experience and we will be going back again. The prices are very reasonable considering the location, right on the water, and the current prices of food in most restaurants anyway. read more

Went here for dinner and my wife had a salad with grilled chicken which she really enjoyed. I had the Tuna Sashimi which was not very good. The tuna was fresh but it was from a cut that had tendons in it and as such it was very chewy - I don't recommend it. Service was prompt and friendly, the view was great. read more

This is a cute place on the water with even cuter views. The ambiance is the best selling point of this area as you can look out at the bay. The food is decent. I got the firecracker shrimp. I expected it to be breaded and was a little disappointed when they weren't. The plate came out warm but not hot but the shrimp was well cooked and I liked the accompanying sauces. One trick is I got a side of cheese risotto and it made a nice little shrimp and rice bowl. Friend got the crab pizza which he enjoyed. read more

Beautiful Setting, Disappointing Meal My wife and I stopped at Bridges Restaurant for a late lunch on our way to Fenwick Island. It was a nice evening, so when the hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, we chose to eat on the pier. The outdoor setting was great -- a peaceful waterfront view and fans running to keep the flies away. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights ended. I was really looking forward to a sandwich I had seen on Yelp, but our server told us that lunch was over and we had to order from the dinner menu. It was disappointing -- a waterfront seafood restaurant with outdoor seating and no sandwiches available? The only sandwich option was a burger. To me, ordering a burger at a seafood spot is like going to a steakhouse and getting lasagna. We decided to make the best of it and placed our orders. My wife had a side salad and pork tacos with rice. I ordered the sidewinder fries, cream of crab soup, and firecracker shrimp. The food looked good when it arrived. The salad was fresh, and the cream of crab soup was actually the best thing we had -- rich and flavorful. But everything else missed the mark. Pork tacos were dry and lacked flavor; the rice was just plain and unmemorable. Sidewinder fries weren't worth the price -- they tasted like frozen fries despite the server saying they were house-made. Firecracker shrimp were a real letdown. The menu says "flash-fried," and they weren't kidding -- they were barely cooked. Small shrimp, underseasoned, not spicy, and missing the crispiness or coating you'd expect. Definitely needed more time in the fryer and more flavor overall. Overall, the location was the star, but the food didn't live up to the setting. With so many other restaurants in the area, I'm not sure I'd return. I'd rather try somewhere new before giving Bridges another shot. read more

Our party of five adults and 1 baby had a blast here. After tax and tips we paid $295. While it is a bit pricey, the food was well worth it. Please refer to the attached receipt for the price. The good: Cajun rockfish and stuffed shrimp. I thought the two entrees did what they advertised. The great: everything but the bowl cream of crab. The soft shell crab and mussels and crab cakes just hit differently. My parents loved the fries and mashed potatoes. My wife loved the soft shell crab's texture. My cousin really enjoyed the calamari and the sweet/tangy sauce. The excellent: bowl cream of crab soup. I loved the creaminess of the soup. I loved the consistency. Fantastic food. Every single thing that I tried from the bruchetta to the cream of crab soup (better than PhilipsCrab House, iykyk) that was full of lumps of crab meat to the fish and chips that had old bay fries and piece of fish that didn't even fit in the basket it was so huge!! On top of the size, the fish was also lightly breaded (I hate when it's thick) and so fresh. I can't say enough nice things about the food at this place but the service was also phenomenal! I will definitely be going back. And if you're reading this review and you are the manager you need to thank all your employees because they really are the best in the business. read more

This place is great. We are in town for a conference and decided to stop by for some seafood. We were seated immediately and our server was very helpful. She provided a lot of great recommendations on the menu and all of them were a hit. The shrimp appetizer is delicious. For dinner, the crabcakes are excellent with pure crab and a great beurre blanc sauce. The miso salmon was also great. They have a full bar with plenty of wines and beers to choose from. Very pleasant restaurant with generally good food and great service! Ate there a few times, on the patio. Pizza was great, but I must admit, the crab cake was awful. It was fall-apart wet from way too much mayonnaise. I'm not a big fan of mayo to begin with, and the overpowering gooeyness of the cake and its collapse from the sandwich ( I ordered the crab cake sandwich, obviously) really disappointed me for that meal. But the waitstaff are nice, and other appetizers and entrees were better. I would come back again, just maybe have something other than the crab cake. read more

This restaurant is perfectly located between DC and the Delaware/Maryland shores. During the summer, the outdoor dining area offers a beautiful waterfront view. We recently visited during the holidays. The indoor dining room was beautifully decorated. My granddaughter loves the Island fries. Usually I don't order fries because not many places can do it well. But the Bridges Island fries are well-seasoned and served with flavorful dipping sauces. Even the fries that came with the Bridges smash burgers were really nicely done. The salads were very fresh. This restaurant ranks among my granddaughter's top favorites, which means the review starts with a 5 star. Sauces were also very good. Bruschetta Roma bread amazing. Full order for 4 people perfect. Calabrian Gulf shrimp pasta dish, great sauce, amazing flavor. One of the best pasta dishes I have enjoyed. Stuffed shrimp was good. Butcher block pizza was ok. Used to be a flat pizza. Not anymore. Just ok. Caesar salad with Salmon was also good. I had a Seafood Club sandwich--club sandwich with a crab cake and shrimp salad on toasted brioche. Really good! My husband had a good Cuban sandwich. Sandwiches come with a choice of fries, house salad or Caesar salad--which is nice to have choices of included sides. Outside, they have seating for diners with dogs. This is a very fancy restaurant in a very picturesque setting, that we felt we needed to try for a patio lunch when we first arrived in Kent Narrows. Husband had a blackened chicken Caesar salad and I had a crab cake sandwich (minus the bun) with a side of white rice. The salad was good, the crab cake was mostly crab. I had to ask for cocktail sauce, which is my preference over tartar sauce with crab cakes. It took a long time. Our server was fine dining formal, but not pretentious. This is not a bargain restaurant, nor is the quality stupendous but you can't beat the setting! read more

I visited this place for lunch shortly after I had come back from a Caribbean vacation. The outdoor atmosphere of this restaurant took me right back to the islands. The weather was much warmer then, so I sat outside with a view of the water. It was so relaxing. I felt like I took a mini vacation for lunch without having to get on a plane. As soon as I saw this sandwich on the menu, I knew I had to have it. It's the seafood club, which is shrimp salad topped with a fried crab cake and bacon. Are you kidding me, a whole bunch of my favorite things on one sandwich?! It was slightly messy and completely delicious. The shrimp salad alone was good (there's an option to have a just shrimp salad sandwich), but adding the additional ingredients took this sandwich to another level. We had lunch here on a Sunday and started with the calamari, which was just okay--slightly chewy and could have used a bit more seasoning. The crab cakes, however, were fantastic--some of the best we've had anywhere. Our group had several dishes that included crab cakes: the seafood club, the crab cake sandwich, and a the blood orange salad with added crab cakes. All were great. The firecracker tacos were good too. The rockfish was another highlight. It's a delicate fish that's easy to overcook, but the kitchen prepared it perfectly: moist, flaky, and full of flavor. We go to Bridges often and it is reliably good. This week we went for lunch and I had the harvest ravioli. It was perhaps the best thing I've ever had! A perfect combination of all the flavors.
