My husband, pup, and I stopped by on a Monday for lunch on our way to St. Michaels. It was fairly empty, they were power washing the deck area but luckily, they still had their gazebo open so we could still have lunch with our little pup. The hostess and waitress were so kind, friendly, and accommodating! They brought out a water bowl for our dog. We ordered the whole oysters flash fried (special of the day), the shrimp and grits, and the shrimp salad sandwich with island fries (upgraded for 3.50). The oysters were fantastic. Freshly fried and super juicy. We loved them. Our sandwich and shrimp&grits took a while to get to us, but worth the wait. The shrimp in the grits were massive. My husband couldn't finish it all. The shrimp salad was stellar. And the brioche bun went so well. I will say the island fries had a spice we didn't love. The queso dip it came with was good. Didn't love the chili aioli it came with. It was weirdly sweet. I'd probably stick to the regular fries next time. Service is a little slower than were use to, but it definitely fit the vibe of the area. Just low key and relaxing. Fantastic food. Every single thing that I tried from the bruchetta to the cream of crab soup (better than PhilipsCrab House, iykyk) that was full of lumps of crab meat to the fish and chips that had old bay fries and piece of fish that didn't even fit in the basket it was so huge!! On top of the size, the fish was also lightly breaded (I hate when it's thick) and so fresh. I can't say enough nice things about the food at this place but the service was also phenomenal! I will definitely be going back. And if you're reading this review and you are the manager you need to thank all your employees because they really are the best in the business. read more

She provided a lot of great recommendations on the menu and all of them were a hit. The shrimp appetizer is delicious. For dinner, the crabcakes are excellent with pure crab and a great beurre blanc sauce. The miso salmon was also great. They have a full bar with plenty of wines and beers to choose from. This is a cute place on the water with even cuter views. The ambiance is the best selling point of this area as you can look out at the bay. The food is decent. I got the firecracker shrimp. I expected it to be breaded and was a little disappointed when they weren't. The plate came out warm but not hot but the shrimp was well cooked and I liked the accompanying sauces. Beautiful Setting, Disappointing Meal My wife and I stopped at Bridges Restaurant for a late lunch on our way to Fenwick Island. It was a nice evening, so when the hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, we chose to eat on the pier. The outdoor setting was great -- a peaceful waterfront view and fans running to keep the flies away. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights ended. I was really looking forward to a sandwich I had seen on Yelp, but our server told us that lunch was over and we had to order from the dinner menu. It was disappointing -- a waterfront seafood restaurant with outdoor seating and no sandwiches available? The only sandwich option was a burger. To me, ordering a burger at a seafood spot is like going to a steakhouse and getting lasagna. We decided to make the best of it and placed our orders. My wife had a side salad and pork tacos with rice. I ordered the sidewinder fries, cream of crab soup, and firecracker shrimp. The food looked good when it arrived. The salad was fresh, and the cream of crab soup was actually the best thing we had -- rich and flavorful. But everything else missed the mark. Pork tacos were dry and lacked flavor; the rice was just plain and unmemorable. Sidewinder fries weren't worth the price -- they tasted like frozen fries despite the server saying they were house-made. Firecracker shrimp were a real letdown. The menu says "flash-fried," and they weren't kidding -- they were barely cooked. Small shrimp, underseasoned, not spicy, and missing the crispiness or coating you'd expect. Definitely needed more time in the fryer and more flavor overall. Overall, the location was the star, but the food didn't live up to the setting. With so many other restaurants in the area, I'm not sure I'd return. I'd rather try somewhere new before giving Bridges another shot. read more

The good: Cajun rockfish and stuffed shrimp. I thought the two entrees did what they advertised. The great: everything but the bowl cream of crab. The soft shell crab and mussels and crab cakes just hit differently. My parents loved the fries and mashed potatoes. My wife loved the soft shell crab's texture. My cousin really enjoyed the calamari and the sweet/tangy sauce. The excellent: bowl cream of crab soup. I loved the creaminess of the soup. I loved the consistency. The food was amazing. We all thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. We sat outside in the heat because we had our dog with us. We would have preferred the shaded part of the outdoor area but 2 people were in the large area under the shade and their dog was aggressive so we had the waitress move us. Very pleasant restaurant with generally good food and great service! Ate there a few times, on the patio. Pizza was great, but I must admit, the crab cake was awful. It was fall-apart wet from way too much mayonnaise. I'm not a big fan of mayo to begin with, and the overpowering gooeyness of the cake and its collapse from the sandwich ( I ordered the crab cake sandwich, obviously) really disappointed me for that meal. But the waitstaff are nice, and other appetizers and entrees were better. I would come back again, just maybe have something other than the crab cake. read more

This restaurant is perfectly located between DC and the Delaware/Maryland shores. During the summer, the outdoor dining area offers a beautiful waterfront view. We recently visited during the holidays. The indoor dining room was beautifully decorated. My granddaughter loves the Island fries. Usually I don't order fries because not many places can do it well. But the Bridges Island fries are well-seasoned and served with flavorful dipping sauces. Even the fries that came with the Bridges smash burgers were really nicely done. The salads were very fresh. This restaurant ranks among my granddaughter's top favorites, which means the review starts with a 5 star. This is a very fancy restaurant in a very picturesque setting, that we felt we needed to try for a patio lunch when we first arrived in Kent Narrows. Husband had a blackened chicken Caesar salad and I had a crab cake sandwich (minus the bun) with a side of white rice. The salad was good, the crab cake was mostly crab. I had to ask for cocktail sauce, which is my preference over tartar sauce with crab cakes. It took a long time. Our server was fine dining formal, but not pretentious. We go to Bridges often and it is reliably good. This week we went for lunch and I had the harvest ravioli. It was perhaps the best thing I've ever had! A perfect combination of all the flavors. Here is the menu description: Butternut Squash Ravioli / Sage Roasted Apple Pumpkin Cream Sauce / Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Goat Cheese / Cherry Fresno Agrodolce If you get a chance to go to Bridges, get this lite fare dish. We had lunch here on a Sunday and started with the calamari, which was just okay--slightly chewy and could have used a bit more seasoning. The crab cakes, however, were fantastic--some of the best we've had anywhere. Our group had several dishes that included crab cakes: the seafood club, the crab cake sandwich, and a the blood orange salad with added crab cakes. All were great. The firecracker tacos were good too. The rockfish was another highlight. It's a delicate fish that's easy to overcook, but the kitchen prepared it perfectly: moist, flaky, and full of flavor. I visited this place for lunch shortly after I had come back from a Caribbean vacation. The outdoor atmosphere of this restaurant took me right back to the islands. The weather was much warmer then, so I sat outside with a view of the water. It was so relaxing. I felt like I took a mini vacation for lunch without having to get on a plane. As soon as I saw this sandwich on the menu, I knew I had to have it. It's the seafood club, which is shrimp salad topped with a fried crab cake and bacon. Are you kidding me, a whole bunch of my favorite things on one sandwich?! It was slightly messy and completely delicious. The shrimp salad alone was good (there's an option to have a just shrimp salad sandwich), but adding the additional ingredients took this sandwich to another level. Bridges restaurant continues to deliver high quality food in a great atmosphere and with great service. My spouse and I went there again last night and we were - yet again - impressed all around. My spouse started with the cream of crab soup. Velvety broth without a hint of flour flavor. The soup coated the front and back of the spoon. There was an insane amount of crab in that soup. I had the Maryland (vegetable) crab soup and I wish I had gotten the large bowl rather than the small cup. It was more like stew, thick with fresh crunchy veggies and loads of crab! The hint of heat was perfect as was the entire cup of soup. My spouse had the crab cake meal which was very good. I had the rockfish and it was crazy good - a HUGE piece of rockfish, perfectly cooked. So moist and simply seasoned with salt and pepper. So delicious! The fish sat on a bed of asparagus which was a little over-cooked and mushy. Then, all of that was on top of plain rice with some sort of light Cajun sauce that flavored the entire meal just enough. I ate up every piece of food (even the mushy asparagus)! Our server, Myana, always had a big smile on her face even though she seemed to be over-worked with loads of tables. I first "discovered" Bridges early last year in 2023 when my mom, sister and I were driving home from a morning outing in Chestertown, MD. It was my mom's birthday, and instead of going to our usual old haunts in Grasonville, she opted to try a new place. Boy, I'm glad she did! Do yourself a favor and order the Bruschetta Roma appetizer. Order the whole instead of the half. You'll thank me later. You won't have to fight people at your table for the last piece because there will be plenty to go around. It's that good! The tomatoes are fresh, the bread is crispy and crunchy, and the pesto, balsamic and cheese all together make for a beautiful mouth combo. Both my sister and mom opted for the Halibut sandwich special. The bread was soft, the halibut was delicious and had a light fried coating. The side salad portions were generous. I usually opt for the sandwiches when I come here: Turkey or Turkey Reuben. The one sandwich I didn't particularly care for was the Black Forest Ham sandwich. It tasted fine, but there really wasn't much ham or cheese and I ate the whole thing in just a few bites. I am not a crinkle fry girl, but I love theirs. They double fry them so they get extra crispy. If you can't hear your fry crunch when you bite into it, what's the point? The crab dip appetizer is a hit as well. It comes with mini naan dippers. My niece loved the fish tacos. The pieces of fish were thick and juicy. My dad enjoys the stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes and green beans. They have cream of crab and vegetable crab soup and will mix them together if you ask. That's one of my sister's favorites. The Firecracker shrimp appetizer is great also. It has just enough of a kick for those who like heat, but won't cause a 4 alarm fire in your mouth. The Surf N Turf tacos were a big hit with our table. The nachos were fried wontons (genius) and the toppings were plentiful. Don't forget dessert! We usually opt to take our desserts home because we're stuffed by the time we finish our meal to the point where we feel like we have to be rolled out of the restaurant. My one complaint (if you can even call it that) is a majority of the desserts include ice cream, which obviously will not travel well. They offer a blondie, chocolate cake, cheesecake, creme brûlée, seasonal sorbet, bread pudding, cobbler, and more. They also offer dessert cocktails and cordials for those who prefer their desserts in liquid form. There is plenty of seating inside and out of the restaurant. If you need to have a party or get together and worry about the seating - don't. They can accommodate. Outside seating has gorgeous views of the water, but fear not - there are plenty seats indoors to see the water and views as well. There is ample parking, but the lot can fill up fast on gorgeous weather days, holidays, and weekends. It's very easy to make reservations and I had no problems when it came time to arrive at the restaurant. Service has always been great here. The employees are friendly. The food quality is excellent and consistent. I tend to order the same thing every time I come here, and the quality or quantity has never wavered. The restaurant posts their weekend specials (with photos!) on their Facebook page every week, so look out for that as well. They also post their specials on the host deck as soon as you come into the restaurant. Overall, we will continue to return! read more

The leaves were not all chopped, so was left with some giant pieces and some were still a bit wet. It honestly felt like it was just thrown in the box. I came here for a wonderful birthday dinner with My special friend. We enjoyed our early dinner outside on the water, which was so lovely! It was a perfect day to sit outside! We ordered sangria (he had red, I had white - the fruit in it was lemon, lime and 1 maraschino cherry) and it was just ok....we ordered the crab dip - which was very flavorful, but there wasn't much crab meat. The dip is served with soft and warm "naan-like" bread that melts in your mouth! 4 stars We also ordered field green salads, which had a yummy dressing!
