    Cream of Crab Soup
    Harris H.

My wife has been dining here with a large group of mostly the same people for the past few years and has always raved about the food, so I decided to join them. Our group of 16 had a reservation and arrived on time. We were seated promptly, and the beach like atmosphere was inviting. From inside, we enjoyed a pleasant breeze and a clear view of the water just beyond the deck, where guests were dining outside. The food was outstanding. I ordered cream of crab soup, and it was one of the best I have ever had, which says a lot given that I have lived in Maryland most of my life and tried many versions. My wife ordered the Island Fries as a starter, and they were beer-battered and delicious. For dinner, I chose the Shrimp and Grits, which was incredible. The shrimp were huge, and the flavor was exceptional. It was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. Based on everyone's feedback, every dish at the table was excellent, with no disappointments in flavor. Now to the service. When we go with large parties, usually more than one server is assigned. This was not the case, but I still give leniency to all things considered. From the time we were seated, it took quite a while to get water and menus. From that point, our server was very attentive. She was very patient, especially considering not only the large party, but mostly older people who are not focused. With that being said, I have one complaint and that is why I did not give this a 5-star review. My daughter and my wife both ordered the same meal. As a side, my daughter asked for the mashed potatoes but specifically asked if they had potato skins in them, and she was told they were just fluffy with only the potato part and no skin. She also asked for her dish to be made without the onions as she doesn't like them. Her potatoes came out with the skins, and her meal came out with onions. In addition, my wife ordered the same exact meal, and her shrimp was dark and almost looked seasoned, where as my daughter's were perfect. It turns out my wife's were overdone which you can see in the pictures below. When this was all brought to the attention of the server, she looked dumfounded and didn't offer any solutions, like to have the one dish remade. She did offer to replace the mashed potatoes with something else. My daughter just accepted the other side, picked out the onions and ate her dinner as she was frustrated and didn't want to wait to have it remade while everyone was already eating. All in all, a good experience and we will be going back again. The prices are very reasonable considering the location, right on the water, and the current prices of food in most restaurants anyway.

Ate lunch here yesterday. Terrific beach bar atmosphere w/ great water views. Spicy margarita - tasty and refreshing Blackberry Bramble? - a bit too sweet and syrupy for my taste. Seafood club - delicious. The shrimp salad was flavorful and the crabcake tasty, with no filler. Service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend a visit!

The waterfront ambience, great service, and amazing food made this a standout meal. The crab dip was rich, creamy, and loaded with crab, perfectly paired with warm pita chips. Our entrées--the shrimp Bethany and the scallop‑and‑shrimp risotto--were cooked beautifully, and the pickled onions added the perfect finishing touch. Every bite was delicious.

I visited during a local birthday staycation after receiving a recommendation from a bartender at another establishment. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. While the atmosphere was pleasant enough, the food did not meet my expectations, and the service was so-so. One staff member stood out by going out of her way to acknowledge my birthday which I truly appreciated. However, my server seemed indifferent throughout the meal. I had hoped for a more memorable dining experience given the recommendation, but the food and service did not quite deliver.

This is a cute place on the water with even cuter views. The ambiance is the best selling point of this area as you can look out at the bay. The food is decent. I got the firecracker shrimp. I expected it to be breaded and was a little disappointed when they weren't. The plate came out warm but not hot but the shrimp was well cooked and I liked the accompanying sauces. One trick is I got a side of cheese risotto and it made a nice little shrimp and rice bowl. Friend got the crab pizza which he enjoyed.

Beautiful Setting, Disappointing Meal My wife and I stopped at Bridges Restaurant for a late lunch on our way to Fenwick Island. It was a nice evening, so when the hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, we chose to eat on the pier. The outdoor setting was great -- a peaceful waterfront view and fans running to keep the flies away. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights ended. I was really looking forward to a sandwich I had seen on Yelp, but our server told us that lunch was over and we had to order from the dinner menu. It was disappointing -- a waterfront seafood restaurant with outdoor seating and no sandwiches available? The only sandwich option was a burger. To me, ordering a burger at a seafood spot is like going to a steakhouse and getting lasagna. We decided to make the best of it and placed our orders. My wife had a side salad and pork tacos with rice. I ordered the sidewinder fries, cream of crab soup, and firecracker shrimp. The food looked good when it arrived. The salad was fresh, and the cream of crab soup was actually the best thing we had -- rich and flavorful. But everything else missed the mark. Pork tacos were dry and lacked flavor; the rice was just plain and unmemorable. Sidewinder fries weren't worth the price -- they tasted like frozen fries despite the server saying they were house-made. Firecracker shrimp were a real letdown. The menu says "flash-fried," and they weren't kidding -- they were barely cooked. Small shrimp, underseasoned, not spicy, and missing the crispiness or coating you'd expect. Definitely needed more time in the fryer and more flavor overall. Overall, the location was the star, but the food didn't live up to the setting. With so many other restaurants in the area, I'm not sure I'd return. I'd rather try somewhere new before giving Bridges another shot.

Two crab cakes Cajun grilled rockfish Soft shell crab Stuffed shrimp Mussels
    Boris W.

Our party of five adults and 1 baby had a blast here. After tax and tips we paid $295. While it is a bit pricey, the food was well worth it. Please refer to the attached receipt for the price. The good: Cajun rockfish and stuffed shrimp. I thought the two entrees did what they advertised. The great: everything but the bowl cream of crab. The soft shell crab and mussels and crab cakes just hit differently. My parents loved the fries and mashed potatoes. My wife loved the soft shell crab's texture. My cousin really enjoyed the calamari and the sweet/tangy sauce. The excellent: bowl cream of crab soup. I loved the creaminess of the soup. I loved the consistency. I loved the bits and pieces in the soup. The taste and texture and everything about the soup worked! Forget everything else because this soup banged. The service was awesome as well. I would go back just for the soup though. The soup was great by the way. Have you guys ordered the soup yet? Soup.

Another 5 star dining experience!! Great food and service. Comfortable waterside dining at its best.

Fantastic food. Every single thing that I tried from the bruchetta to the cream of crab soup (better than PhilipsCrab House, iykyk) that was full of lumps of crab meat to the fish and chips that had old bay fries and piece of fish that didn't even fit in the basket it was so huge!! On top of the size, the fish was also lightly breaded (I hate when it's thick) and so fresh. I can't say enough nice things about the food at this place but the service was also phenomenal! I will definitely be going back. And if you're reading this review and you are the manager you need to thank all your employees because they really are the best in the business.

Best views on the island. Bartenders are spectacular and the food is great. Nightly music is enjoyed and don't sleep on the pizza.

I've been to other places and loved them but this was a first time here. We parked and all you can smell is seafood and fish. Parking was decently easy. We walked in and asked to sit outside and was sent upstairs. Thought it a bit weird, but it was all good. We had nothing else going on on a Monday, and just wanted crabs. So we made our way upstairs and had to walk around a few corners to get to the bar before we self seated and found a table under these stairs. But the view! It was pretty, with the small lake or pond we were staring into. The whimsy breeze felt great against my skin and thankful there was an umbrella which shielded us from the hot sun. The tables were covered with craft paper. There were one server working the section. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Paloma - who doesn't love a good cocktail on a hot day outside next to water? The menu is a decent size. We wanted the extra large crabs but they only had six left so we did half extra large and half large. We also ordered Mac and Cheese which turned out to be Kraft Mac and Cheese, Hush Puppies and also an order of Cole slaw. I was tired after trying to crack three crabs, but the flavors were great. I wish it had more of the orange eggs stuff but I guess we couldn't choose which type of crab they were and I had no orange eggs in the crab. But the flavors were good. I enjoyed the experience. It was pretty chill and just nice to be outside cracking teeth and sipping drinks.

For some reason, we had nostalgic memories of this place, but it turns out that we pretty much had the same exact three-star experience. We just really wanted to bring our daughter back here since this spot in America plays a significant role in family lore. Unbelievably, it was raining again, but we waited for a table right by two windows, so water vibes were good. We got a couple local beers and while our server was nice, she also had a bit of an unceremonious manner that took us off guard. Not her fault, but we were total idiots and ordered the medium crabs. Why? WHY?! They are impossible to pick! And we even mentioned in our previous review the merits of ordering the jumbo ones to make life easy. Amateur hour!! We did order a few other crab-themed dishes, which made the meal more pleasant. The imperial crab was only OK, but the crab cakes were really something special. We got one fried and one broiled, and we would definitely recommend the latter. There was so much fresh crab and neither of them were greasy. As far as sides, the veggies were drowning in butter, and the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. Fries were decent and the hush puppies weren't bad, but you know those came right out of a Sysco freezer bag. We got those nutter butter ice cream cone things again and they were terrible. The shell is hard as a rock and so is the flavorless vanilla ice cream underneath while the cone is rubbery soft. Quite the feat. Despite the ups and downs of the cuisine here, we had a really pleasant time as a family, and this place will always hold a soft (shell crab) spot in our hearts. While it's doubtful that we'll be back again, we're glad that we gave it a second go. Just remember: never order medium crabs!

For dessert, we ordered the hot fudge sundae that included Captain Crunch cereal pieces. "Linner" was good overall. Sitting right on the waterfront, it's the kind of place where you can instantly slow down, take in the views, and enjoy everything that makes Maryland summers so special. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by that classic East Coast dockside atmosphere--the salty breeze, boats cruising by, and beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. The Jetty offers plenty of outdoor seating right along the water, plus a large covered bar with ample seating, making it a great spot whether you're soaking up the sunshine or escaping the afternoon heat. We stopped in during Happy Hour and, of course, had to order their famous Orange Crush. It's a Maryland staple for a reason--fresh, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and exactly what you want on a warm summer day. One thing that really impressed us was the Happy Hour food menu. The prices were very reasonable, and the quality exceeded our expectations. The standout was the Ahi Tuna, served with a small portion of seaweed salad. The tuna was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and practically melted in your mouth. It was easily the highlight of our meal. We also ordered the pulled pork sliders, which came with house-made potato chips. These weren't your average side chips--they were thick-cut, perfectly crisp, and seasoned with Maryland's iconic Old Bay, giving them that unmistakable savory, slightly spicy, tangy flavor that locals know and love. The seasoning elevated them from a simple side to something we found ourselves reaching for long after the sliders were gone. Between the delicious food, friendly service, laid-back atmosphere, and unbeatable waterfront location, The Jetty delivers everything you're hoping for in a Chesapeake Bay dock bar. Whether you're arriving by boat, motorcycle, or car, it's the kind of place you'll find yourself returning to again and again. I've visited twice recently and I really enjoyed the scenic views and extensive menu. Both times I have sat outside which was in the shade and comfortable, even on the hottest days of the season. Watching the boat traffic come in go - everything from kayakers to yachters makes for an entertaining meal. Speaking of meals, I've now tried a handful or so items on the menu. Favorites so far are the Flounder Sandwich and potato skins topped with crab dip. The burger was good too. The halibut tacos and crab bruschetta are a pass for me. Service has been great at the Dock House. The servers have to walk fairly far from the kitchen to the dockside tables and they maintain great service. Kudos to them. Speaking of dock, there is space to dock boats parallel to the bulkhead. Several small to mid-size boats were there both times I visited. I looked to see if there was a sign about the depth or rules for docking there and I didn't see anything. What I have observed is there isn't a dock hand and it's not protected so it can get a little bit of chop. A few boaters were just hanging out on their boat listening to the live music so they didn't seem to mind getting jostled when larger traffic comes through the channel. For those with land yachts or a car, there is plenty of parking and it's easy to get here right off of US-50, assuming there isn't "beach traffic." Dock House is located on the back side of the Boatel that is visible from US-50. Dock House is absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants in the Annapolis area. I am looking forward to many return trips to Kent Island to continue working my way through the menu.
