We stopped by for a light lunch. We split a couple of appetizers and each had a drink. The Sea Scallop dish was really unique. I've had anything quite like it. It was great. My only complaint was for $23, I would expect 4 scallops. It came with 2. The Tuna Tartar was okay, for some reason it didn't work for us. Our server seemed to have the whole patoo so we didn't see her much. I think you pay for the view and location. There was paid parking (not too pricey) onsite. For Annapolis that's huge.

    Special: encrusted halibut

Service was better. Food was delicious. We both got the encrusted halibut at the recommendation of our server. She was spot on! We also got the hushpuppies which were tasty even if they hadn't had the bits of shrimp in them. Glad they did, though. Each bite had a bit of shrimp.

Did a solo lunch here. 10/10. Great service, very accommodating, great vibe and atmosphere, and delicious food. The oysters were really good but the bacon was a little too much. Maybe bacon bits would be better and would not overpower the oyster itself. But that's more an observation than complaint. When I'm back in Annapolis I'm definitely coming back here and trying more of the menu. Would highly suggest making a rez.

Baked Oysters "Carrol's Creek" (top), Cream Of Crab Soup (bottom)

We were impressed by how fresh the ingredients were, and especially loved the rockfish dish. The beurre blanc was an excellent touch to the dish, along with the grilled veggies and crab lump meat atop the fish. The cream of crab soup was also great, with touches of fresh crab meat. The baked oysters were a bit too briney and sandy/crunchy for our liking. Excellent, friendly service. Gorgeous water view with indoor and outdoor seating options. On the pricier side.

Review: Carrol's Creek Café - Annapolis, MD Carrol's Creek Café delivers an outstanding waterfront dining experience. The location is unbeatable--right on the harbor with beautiful views that make any meal feel special. Service was excellent from start to finish, attentive without ever being intrusive. The food is a standout. The crab cakes are truly exceptional, and the cream of crab soup might be the best I've ever had. Their lunch menu is perfect for meetings: great variety, well‑executed dishes, and a relaxed but refined atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic spot in Annapolis. I'll definitely be back.

First time visitor. Hubby and I truly enjoyed our food. The restaurant has ai many windows, that you had great views no matter where you were seated. Will be back!

    Scallops appetizer

Wasn't impressed. Came due to great reviews. Ordered two items they are known for... the scallops appetizer and crab soup. The scallops being fried with a fried phyllo dough left it feeling very heavy, and the phyllo was actually a little on the burnt side. The soup wasn't bad. It was just way too heavy and rich. After all that I just ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp added. The shrimp smelled "off"and I couldn't eat it. Don't recommend this place sadly.

Excellent location, attentive service, average food with above average prices. Portions are fair but quality is just eh imo. I heard a lot about Carrol's Creek, so may have had elevated expectations which they did not quite hit. We started with the scallops, which had a bit too much shredded phyllo. The crab cake was good but a bit dry. The rockfish had a great lump of crab and was cooked appropriately. The cocktail selection was creatively. The old fashioned was smooth. The views were nice, even from the inside. I highly recommend trying to get seated on the deck (reservation required). They validate parking!

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary at Carrol's Creek Cafe, and I could not have been happier. I had no clue where he had planned for us to have dinner, I just knew that it was a location in Annapolis. From the minute we walked in to the quite inconspicuously located entrance, I was prepared for just about anything! But every single expectation was met, when we were seated outside, immediately next to Spa Creek and the Drawbridge; just in time to watch the entire sunset in all its glory. The service, food and wine were all impeccable! I started with the house special - the Sea Scallops, and chose the Sautéed Shrimp and Crab Pasta for my main! Both of these were 10/10 and truly seasoned and prepared to perfection. There was no over seasoning, I could taste each and every one of these fresh ingredients in the pasta... From the grilled zucchini to the fresh lump crab, the cherry tomatoes and the lemon zest !! My husband had the Cream of Corn soup & the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, both of which he devoured! When my husband made the reservation, he made the note that it was an anniversary dinner, but perhaps they missed this on our reservation when we checked in? There were a few other tables with celebrations like birthdays, and they got a sweet card and that additional special treatment to complement the evening. But this was missed with us - but that's not such a big deal. What a memorable way to end our one year wedding anniversary! Looking forward to going back again, for hopefully more special occasions.

SECRET HAPPY HOUR Eastport locals know how to eat well and stretch their drinking dollars .. Carrol's Creek Happy Hour starts at 5pm (Sunday-Thursday) and features some of the restaurant's best dishes. With savings of $4-7 per dish (relative to the main restaurant), you can feast on crab cakes, tuna tartare, BBQ shrimp, calamari, baked oysters and a number of other local specialties. What you don't get is seating on the water-side porch or in the main restaurant. HOW TO ACCESS: When you enter the restaurant, let the hostess know that you're here for Happy Hour and request a table in the bar area (to the left of the hostess stand). There is sure to be a crowd at the car and a number of tables already filled, but there's always been a 4-top when we've shown up. Staff is great and hard working - Tip them well!

From the moment we walked into the door. The atmosphere gave a fine dining. Classy. Sophisticated vibe. Hostess dressed in a black blazer. Hair sleeked back in a bun. Greeted us with a smile. Being walked over to our table. The dining room was beautifully decorated with a coastal vibe. We were say at a higher level. Giving a great view of the marina. Our server. "Abbey". Came over to introduce herself. She was so kind, soft spoken and sweet. She was working hard. She had 10 tables and handled all of them with poise & grace. Warm dinner rolls with butter were brought out before dinner. Dinner was presented and I was in awe. Ive been to many fine dining establishments. But this particular, "Rockfish Oscar style", was Top Chef level!! The plate had beautiful colors. Appeasing to the eyes! Hence the term. You eat with your eyes first. It was a hearty dish. First time in Maryland. So I gave the Rockfish a go. And the taste was like a, "higher class catfish". The vegetables & lemon cream sauce were a great accompaniment! My compliments to the chef & staff! Great experience all around! This establishment is high class. But most definitely not uptight!! Cheers!

    Crab cake & house salad!

The views & ambiance are lovely here, but I was hoping the food would taste better. My family decided to dine at Carrol's Creek before I returned to the West coast. I wanted to eat somewhere close to home and on the water. There restaurant is nestled beautifully on the docks near downtown Annapolis. There is a parking lot out front, and the restaurant will validate the parking. Our waiter was fun, and made a few jokes at our table, so the service wasn't lacking. They honestly just dropped the ball with the food. We started off with the crab guacamole appetizer. Surprisingly, this was the best dish of the night. My mom order some crab dip, and it was extremely watery and lacked flavor. For dinner, I ordered a crab cake and a house salad with raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was actually sad. It had romaine lettuce, sunflower seeds, and cranberries. I would have loved for it to have some additional vegetables or croutons to jazz it up. I have had house salads that came with diced tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, etc. I was just hoping for a little more. The crab cake also missed the mark for me. It needed more old bay or something, just not what i'm use to. For my first time visiting Carrol's Creek, I was expecting more.

Ask the Community - Carrol's Creek Cafe

How is parking on a Saturday afternoon?

There is parking in a lot with the restaurant. They will also validate your parking so you don't have to pay

Is there mustard in the Crab cakes?

We do have yellow and Dijon mustard in our crabcakes.  Old Bay spice is also in there and I don't know if any mustard seed is in their mixture.  If you provide us with a few days advance notice, we would be happy to custom make as many crab cakes as…

Do you have any high top tables? My husband is disabled & unable to sit low.

Carrol's Creek does have a few high tables in our lounge. That area is normally on a first come basis but please contact one of our managers and they can see about arrangeing one for you. The number is 410-263-8102 and we hope to see you soon.

Can I dine outside seating with my dog?

    Google says yes

    Do you deliver?

I'm very sorry but we do not deliver or participate in any delivery service.

Is there parking specifically for restaurant patrons? If you park in the marina lot (sounds like Carrol's Creek Cafe will validate up to 2-2.5 hours) but stay longer after your meal than what the restaurant will validate, can you pay the difference?

There is a paid parking lot in front of the restaurant that is shared with a handful of other businesses. I believe they validate parking up to a certain point as well.

    How's the food?

Wonderful everything I had was tasty

The ability to call ahead and get a fast reservation was enough foreshadowing to tell us this is a great restaurant. But the food soon clinched the deal. I had the crispy rockfish. Really good! Three big pieces of rockfish served atop black beans and rice. The side was 3 large shrimp perched on a slightly spicy salsa. A good aioli sauce finished off the dish nicely. I will say that the breading on the rockfish was not so crispy - rather, it was a tad on the soft side and bit too moist for my liking. But the fish inside was pure and white as expected. The serving was very large. My spouse had the crab cake dinner and he says that it is the best crab cake he has ever had. He even entered it into his restaurant contacts on his phone. This is high praise coming from a native Marylander who loves good Chesapeake Blue Crab. From my perspective, I could see that each of the 2 crab cakes was HUGE!!!! Just 1 alone might have been enough for a meal. The crab cakes were served on top of fried green tomatoes which he gobbled up. The balance of luxuriously silky crab salad against the fried green tomatoes was perfect. You know what else was perfect? The bread service! We each got 1 nicely sized roll, still warm and easy to pull apart. But the butter was enough to make me lick it off my knife. Garlic butter or chive butter - we could not quite decide - but it was so tasty that I wanted more. We both drank Arnold Palmers. He thought it was the best Arnold Palmer ever while I did not care for mine. I guess that is what makes the world go around, right? To each his own. Whatever you think of the crab cakes or the Arnold Palmer, O'Leary's Seafood is a great place. I highly recommend it for a great seafood meal.
