If you enjoy a more traditional, roux-based mac & cheese, this one definitely delivers. The dirty vodka martini was fantastic and well made. The only disappointment was the espresso martini. It was prepared using a canned espresso product, which isn't necessarily a problem, but it would have been nice if that had been mentioned beforehand. I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Chart House, and it was a wonderful experience overall. We had a party of eight, and our server, Jake, was phenomenal. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, answered everyone's questions with patience, and was especially helpful navigating dietary restrictions. One of my favorite parts of the evening was the beverage cart, it made dinner feel like a show! We ordered the mojito flight, and every flavor was refreshing and delicious. For appetizers, I had the crab stack with mango and avocado, which was fresh, light, and full of flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the Eye of the Ribeye with the Pave Parmesan potatoes. Everything was cooked well, though I did think some of the dishes throughout the table could have used a little more seasoning. Once we added a bit of salt, though, the flavors really came to life. The highlight of the meal was dessert. The seasonal crème brûlée was absolutely to die for, and the blood orange flavor was easily my favorite part of the entire dinner. We dropped in for Happy Hour (fyi you must sit in the bar area!) about 15 min before it ended, but we were still able to get our order in. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I LOVED the caviar potatoes & mini crab cakes. They came out so fast and were fresh. The margarita was also one of my favorite ones I've had. Unfortunately sitting at the bar meant our server was making drinks for the entire restaurant, so getting our check took longer than even getting our food. It was pretty loud inside the restaurant, partially due to music but also just sitting at the bar comes with its own noise of the hustle and bustle. It was the week after the snow storm, so the streets around the restaurant and parking was difficult to get to. The boats sitting on the water were even frozen. Despite the freezing weather, the restaurant was still pretty filled and had a great vibe. When we got to our table the waiter checked my coat and gave me a ticket, to get it later. Our table was seated right next to a beautiful fire pit, which gave an amazing warm temperature. The views across the water were breath taking, through the tall glass windows. There were high ceilings and many details throughout the restaurant that were stunning! Started dinner with the Oysters, followed by the Shellfish Linguine with sautéed mushrooms as an entree. I got the Roasted Lamb Chops which came with the tri-color carrots, and parsnip purée. It all tasted great, however there wasn't enough for leftovers. Once with friends, we waited quite a bit to be served and just recently with our daughter for her 18th birthday. She wanted crab legs. They were impressive, but came with no utensils to open them. I had to get his attention and finally received the cracker & small fork so she could enjoy her dinner. In the dining room they have it situated where you have a nice view from almost every point. They have a great cocktail menu and offer a service where they make drinks table side. I tried the Old Fashioned.. it had a truffle in it . For appetizers I had the Crispy Escargot and my friend had the Ahi Poke, that was a pretty large portion that can be shared or even eaten as an entree. For the mains, my friend had the Seabass, and I had the Shellfish Linguine. The Linguine was good, the server removed my plate before I was done so I didn't finish. And for dessert BIRTHDAY CAKE! We started with the crab dip and that was good! The valentine couple's surf & turf special, shareable ribeye and tomahawk were all sold out! This was very disappointing. The entree - we ordered the prime rib and eye of the ribeye. Both were cooked great. The creamed spinach was flavorful and creamy. The truffle fries? No complaints, crispy and tasty. Now let's talk about the lobster risotto... because what happened there? Risotto is supposed to be creamy, rich, and comforting. This was dry, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp and lobster was dried out. Service was excellent and ambiance is luxury rustic. Overall, some items were good, but that lobster risotto was a major letdown, especially for the price point. I would revisit but will stay away from the lobster risotto. read more

I got the wok friend fish and it was good. I do wish the fish had maybe a sweet and sour sauce to go on it or maybe fajitas vegetables to make it pop. But as is the fish was still good. The vegetables were fresh, crisp, and seasoned well. The sticky rice was just sticky rice. We also got the seafood tower which great the poke tuna was fresh and melted in your mouth good. We arrived at approximately 8:15 PM for a birthday celebration and were immediately met by the manager on duty, who did not introduce himself and was discourteous throughout the interaction. Rather than welcoming us, he immediately informed us that some members of our party were not in compliance with the dress code due to wearing joggers and shorts. Although we understood the restaurant's dress code policy, our family members made an effort to comply by returning to their vehicle to change clothes. Despite their attempt to address the concern, the manager still refused to accommodate them. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of professionalism and hospitality shown during the situation. At no point did he offer alternatives, such as allowing the affected guests to sit in the bar area, where we later learned the dress code requirements were different. The situation became even more uncomfortable when another Black couple entered the restaurant and the manager accused them of smelling like marijuana. He appeared to associate them with our party, despite them having no connection to us whatsoever. Later, he acknowledged that they were not part of our group and specifically stated that our party did not smell like marijuana, but the other couple did. Regardless, the fact that this assumption was made and communicated in front of us was inappropriate, embarrassing, and unprofessional. As a result of the entire experience, we chose to leave the restaurant. What should have been a special birthday celebration for my sister-in-law turned into an embarrassing and upsetting experience for our family. I felt disrespected, singled out, and disappointed by the manner in which we were treated. I understand that restaurants have policies and standards that must be enforced. However, those policies should be communicated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. read more

While we were waiting on our food, the flame on our "fireplace?" went out..it started blowing cold air, it was Valentine's day this year so we're talking like the 27 degree air outside..not cool (well..I guess overly cool..get it? ahah.. anyways) The manager told us he'd start it up again..spoiler, that never happened. It was cold the whole meal. Moving on, our meal did arrive. I had Lobster, Steak, and mashed potatoes, they were good. My wife got the Risotto, and scallops..they were solidly okay. B+ on the food because of risotto and lobster..the steak was really good though. I highly reccomend it if you ignore this review and go anyways. The Ambiance was pretty loud..and I can't stress this enough, it was COLD. I just wanted to be reseated at one of the empty tables around me with a flame or farther away from windows or doors, but this was too big an ask apparently..I honestly think this place was okay..but not $220 okay. I would probably not even be writing this review if it was just $200 or so. I don't really write these reviews often but I go to places like this pretty regularly so I really hope you take this seriously and AVOID this place and not feel robbed like I did. She was on top of every detail and didn't miss a beat. We didn't need to remind her of anything. Onto the food. I had the 10pz filet and creamed spinach. Both were very good. Wifee had the Lobstertail and rated it 9 out of 10. She said although it was slightly overcooked it was very flavorful. Mixed veggies were phenomenal and perfectly seasoned. First time at Chart House in Annapolis. We had a gift certificate from a friend, which is the main reason we went. My wife and I both had the 10oz prime rib - medium rare. Both came out grayish-brown and bland. There was nothing special or enjoyable about it. The dish comes with garlic potatoes which had way too much garlic and was inedible. We also ordered the crispy brussel sprouts which were overly sweet and crushed - not handled very well. Even the bread was boring. The only item that was ok was the Ceasar salad. On the other hand, the service was very good. We liked our waitress. However, we won't be back. Yes, the view was nice, but not even close to being worth the $165 for two (includes tip). read more
