Service is absolutely terrible. Staff is very easily frazzled and extremely slow and absolutely zero sense of urgency or basic problem solving skills. Our visit for a basic breakfast, with only three other tables occupied, took 90 minutes. 15 of which took to be seated, 30 minutes to have order taken, another 30 minutes to get our drinks. There were 4 unbussed tables which stayed that way most of the time we were there. We witnessed the same poor service for all the people that were there. We also witnessed two parties come in, were yelled at by staff to seat themselves, and never get waited on, both got up and left after waiting about 30 minutes with no service of any kind. The only positive was the food itself. It was amazingly much better than I had expected after the terrible service. We have been to this location a few times and it seems to getting worse and worse every time. I don't think we will be back any time soon. read more

Look, it's Denny's, so expectations are set to just below zero. The service was fine. It was slow. One 4 top and me at the counter. So, really, a corpse could have handled it. The food was ok. This is a mew location, opened up in Grasonville quite recently. The decor is up to date, but parking is difficult, owing to an oddly shaped lot. The staff is short handed, with an obvious need for more servers during busy times. The food is exactly what I expected, reasonably priced diner/comfort food. Haven't had such a bad experience at breakfast in a good long while. Service was over the top horrible and filled with plaintive excuses. But I mean 30 mins for water and coffee. Then only one water. Then order wrong. Then no more coffee. Meantime other part of the restaurant (in the back) was well tended to and turning over at (I counted) double or more the rate my section was. We'd watch trays of food coming out to people who sat down 30 mins later than us-- and we could not even get coffee. This is very much a first world problem, I get it. But if you work hard for your money like I do you've got a reasonable expectation that when u go Out for breakfast you'll not have a service nightmare like we did. But then there's the food. People of grasonville: demand better. Pancakes were literal rubber. For the first time in my not young life I didn't did not get 1/2 way through my French toast ( how the hell do you mess that up). Sausage links and bacon were really really bad. The vfw down the street was having a breakfast buffet and as we were leaving dennys we kicked ourselves for not going there. So avoid this place if you value your hard earned money. That's my take. I deliberately have not named the server bc she should have had someone managing her who saw she was way way over whelmed. The one time some other waitress came over to "help" her colleague was when she plopped down a single glass of water like she wanted the Nobel prize. Now even though the supposed helper had her shit together and her people were eating and paying etc it was her attitude that really rubbed us the wrong way. I get the sense she has to help our server out as a routine but she's to a point that she just shouldn't even try to help cause she's bad at it. There are plenty of nearby and as cheap alternatives. Arrived at the Denny's location in Grasonville, MD on June 26, 2018 at 7:40 pm after several attempts to try and locate this hard-to-get-to restaurant. Promptly seated by Mariah, the hostess, and then completely forgot about. Waited 15 minutes and not one server asked if I had been helped or asked if they could take my food & drink order. Ordered blueberry pancakes and only had 5 blueberries in each one. Sad part is the general manager was the one on the line cooking. Our waitress was awesome but the person that brought the food to our table could careless. Didn't bring or offer syrup. The manager was yelling at a waitress and could clearly be heard saying she doesn't have time she is too busy. Obviously none of the managers there should be in the management position since they cannot handle their jobs. Not a place I would recommend to anyone unless you enjoy eating something not worth the money or enjoy hearing these waitresses being yelled at for trying to please the customers. I will definitely be contacting the corporate office. If they don't address the situation now, they will not only lose customers but also employees!!! read more

The two times I've been in this Denny's have been surprisingly pleasant. First time was wonderful with Dean as my server (January), but my trip there on March 6 threw it over the top. I came in at about 10:45 at night, was promptly seated by hostess/waitress Maggie. She's the sweetest, most beautiful waitress. Not long after that, a group of high schoolers showed up and honestly were obnoxious. However, that didn't stop her from accommodating what I needed, especially as I was rather quiet during my visit. Also, whoever the on-duty manager at night is needs to be thrown a compliment as well. This gentleman assisted Maggie, as well as assisted me with something I needed. Ordered for delivery. When food arrived it was cold and rubbery. $15 worth of items were missing. Called the restaurant to try to fix it and the staff was rude and told me if I wanted my missing items I'd need to come pick it up. No apology, no offer of refund for missing items, nothing.
