This place is amazing. Their food is delicious and their service is excellent. My family and I love this gem. We came across this place originally for breakfast. Tonight we tried their dinner menu and we had 4 different sandwiches. We had the meatball sub, chicken parmesan, caparese and the southern chicken sandwich. All of it was delicious. My husband and I went to this breakfast spot today while we're in town for a soccer tournament. I ordered a bacon, egg (fried hard), and cheese sandwich on a brioche bun. Unfortunately, when I received my food and took a bite, a hot, completely runny egg came oozing out of the sandwich and all over me, completely ruining my shirt and pants. I was understandably upset. What made the situation even worse was that multiple waitresses watched it happen and continued working without offering me a napkin, towel, or anything to help clean myself up. I was literally standing there with egg yolk running down my shirt and pants because my order was prepared incorrectly. Eventually, my husband and I had to flag someone down--we weren't even sure if he was a server or the manager. He came over and said he would comp the meal. I explained that we were there for a soccer tournament and that I would now have to go out and purchase an entirely new outfit for the rest of the day because of their mistake. We then sat there for 20 minutes, watching employees walk past us repeatedly without checking on us. I finally went to the register and expressed how upset I was. The gentleman there said he would charge us for my husband's and son's meals and comp mine. Of course, my meal was being comped--it was sent back because it was prepared incorrectly in the first place. We then waited another 20 minutes without a bill. Again, employees continued walking past us and completely ignored us. This restaurant is tiny--practically the size of a closet--so I honestly don't understand how we could be overlooked for that long. At that point, I told my husband, "Let's just get up and leave. I guarantee THAT will get someone's attention." Sure enough, the second we walked out the door, the big guy came running after us, yelling at my husband and me. I explained how long we had been sitting there, how rude and dismissive the service was, and how much of our time had been wasted. Apparently, walking out the door was the only way to finally get someone's attention. Mistakes happen. Eggs can be cooked incorrectly. What matters is how you treat your customers when something goes wrong. In this case, the customer service was absolutely unacceptable from start to finish. We are in town for a soccer tournament and had better things to do than spend nearly an hour sitting around being ignored after having our clothing ruined by an improperly prepared meal. Spare yourself the trip. The customer service here was HORRIBLE. BTW my outfit cost more than a comped meal!!!! And a hour of wasted time waiting for our bill!!! As a vegetarian, it's always nice to have options - their eggplant parm and caprese subs are filling and delish! Owners are great, wish there was more parking but truly a gem! Tried this place for the first time today when I was up in the Olney area. Not the biggest menu, but all the standard breakfast staples. It was nice to hear a bit of Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon" and "La Llorona" playing in the background, blending two cultures in one place. The service was great. I had been so excited to get the chance to finally try this place. It's a quaint cafe so I suggest making a reservation if you decide to check them out. I loved the flavor of the mango iced tea. My potatoes were perfectly crispy. When it comes to the breakfast sandwich it was quite bland and dry, I wish there had been some type of aioli or sauce on it. It came out with a side of ketchup, so I had asked if I could swap it out for barbecue sauce since I don't like ketchup and our server Liz just said "we don't have it". The host/owner was very polite and personable, I feel we would've had a better experience if he was the only staff member who served us. My friend had a crab cake sandwich and she said it was dry. When it was time to pay I had asked Liz if we could do an even split and she says "no, I already printed the separate checks", I understand that it may have been an inconvenience to her, but I just wish she said it in a more polite manner. This is such a cute place! I went fairly early in the AM so I went straight to the counter to check in. The decor was very cozy and rustic. My eggs, home fries and bacon were perfect. The food came out hot and fresh. My husband ordered the maple bacon pancakes and while they smelled great and had a nice flavor, they were very dry. My breakfast came with a buttermilk pancake that was also flavorful but dry. Other than that, it's a lovely place and we plan on returning there. I discovered this little cafe when searching for a breakfast place. It's a small cafe tucked into a tiny shopping center in Olney, off of Georgia Avenue. I was delighted to find fabulous food, friendly service and a lovely ambiance. I got the French toast and bacon with coffee and a Diet Coke. The French Toast (notice it's all in capitals now) was deelish and exactly what I was craving and hoping for - slightly crispy on the edges and custardy on the inside. I got a whopping 4 slices! It was topped off with fruit - strawberries and blueberries. Apparently it comes dusted with confectioners sugar but I opted out of that. Truly it was fabulous! My added side dish of bacon was very crisp and I received four slices of that too. The coffee was excellent also. It's a small cafe and has a cosy and warm ambiance.
