Menu, there is also coffee available

Found this place on Yelp and saw the picture of the bulgogi rice bowl, and I knew I had to have it. The cafe is located inside a corporate building with a parking garage ($3 per hour). There's a few tables to sit at, and an abundance of drinks and snacks available. There was only one woman working, and she was working hard! She was so sweet and let us know there would be a little wait due to the group that ordered before us. We got the bulgogi rice bowl and the asian rice bowl (chicken). Our food came out piping hot with a side of gochujang for the bulgogi and I believe a chili sauce for the chicken. We both loved our food, the meat was well-seasoned and not overly salty or greasy, the veggies were fresh and delicious, and the rice was perfect. This place is a gem and deserves more love!

The service was fantastic. The couple that runs this place were friendly in a folksy way that I find is often missing at cafes and eateries around the DC area. Oh, and my bowl was delicious!

Rich's Cafe owned by Sunny and Bob for 2 years. Great folks!

When you walk into Sunny [wife + master chef] and Bob's [husband] spotless inviting place with great menu board you know you are in for a treat. Sandwiches, subs, paninis, triple deckers, salads, bowls, breakfast and even BULGOGI. I started with the breakfast platter......fluffy scrambled eggs, ham, rye toast and great home fries with green peppers. YUMMY! $6.95. Everything on the menu is under $8.00. I highly recommend and be sure to STOP IN now as during this *pause* your help is greatly appreciated.

Bulgogi Bowl with special spicy sauce $9.00

I had the pleasure today of meeting sonny and bob, the owners of the cafe. They were incredibly kind and sonny directed me to exactly what I wanted, the beef bulgogi bowl. Now I'm not picky but something about this bowl was just right. I've had bulgogi bowls before where they were either too sweet or too oily and I just usually eat them anyway only to never return to the place but this is not the case with Sonny's. She makes the beef homemade she told me and grills up the veggies(carrots, broccoli, onions) on the plancha right in front of you. There's no secrets, and accompanied by the delicious, perfectly spicy, gochujang like sauce, you know you're getting some of the best lunch in the area. Check it out!

We got takeout for lunch yesterday…read more My partner got a turkey sandwich, which was well-stuffed on a very fresh bread. They got it with lettuce, tomato and onion and were well pleased. Although they commented that a pickle slice/wedge accompanying the sandwich would have been nice, since the place is a deli. I got Emma's Protein Bowl, which was a large bowl with Kale, Brown Rice/Quinoa Blend, Falafel, Edamame, Chickpeas, Corn, Cucumber, Grape Tomatoes, Avocado, Black Lentils, Kalamata Olives, and Hummus. I got the Italian dressing on the side. The salad and dressing were good. The kale was crisp and flavorful and the veggies and other ingredients were fresh. The falafel was the one disappointment. The Bowl comes with three falafel balls. Each was hard and dry. There was flavor in there, but the toughness and dryness masked it. I ended up throwing one of the three balls away. Ugh. I gave Bean Bag 5 stars for our first visit and am not going to change the score because of the falafel. I thought about it, but everything else was very good. The Staff were friendly both times we visited.

Parking in the plaza was free. After finding a spot, I walked in and looked at the many choices they had to offer. As I was trying to figure out what to get, the great customer service I got from that point onward was 12 out of 10. I settled on one of their signature sandwiches and got it on a wheat roll since I am not a fan of rye bread. It was called the "Miami Beach Special". Menu describes it as having corned beef, pastrami, and coleslaw with Russian dressing, lettuce and tomato. I settled on the Beanie size and that was still big, but I enjoyed every bit of it. I was informed that everything was made fresh and I liked that. I also got a cup of chicken noodle soup (yum) and a Snickerdoodle cookie. I heard their cookies are great so I couldn't leave without getting one. I sat at one of their tables indoors and enjoyed my meal. I would visit again. There are so many options to choose from.

Feels like you've stepped back to a simpler time pre Internet! -Italiano sub was perfectly balanced and didn't get soggy on their hard Italian bread. May be the best Italian sub I've ever had- the crusty bread was a first for me! -Tacchino sub was good but would be better with some type of pickle. Felt very rich. -two cannolis hand filled to order! The filling had chocolate chips in it. The pastry shell was perfect and not too fried. We've gotten their pizza before too- def recommend! Fantastic crunch and they make their own mozzarella. We also like to get their homemade pizza dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella, ravioli, and pasta for quick weeknight dinners. Their dried pasta selection is impressive and includes gluten free pasta. They are kind, warm, and knowledgeable- I feel very taken care of when I go! Call in your order bc they don't do online ordering. Don't sleep on this gem!

Saturday 1/24/26…read more It's been a little over 2 years since my last visit, and a re-visit was definitely due, so I'm here. I made a call in pick up order and got the chicken parm sub $11.75 and gemellis pepperoni special $24. Also, the service for ordering and picking up was quick and easy. - The chicken parm sub was solid, but the main problem was the lack of tomato sauce. - The pepperoni special was a miss for me, and that's unfortunate cause I remember it being way better last time. It's cheesy, but the lack of tomato sauce and the dough/bread being underwhelming/ weak really ruins the taste experience. Overall, it seems that Gemelli has definitely fallen off in terms of the quality & taste that I've enjoyed previously. Don't know if I'd be back, but I do know that their chicken parm and polpette subs are still worthy choices in my eyes.

We were seated immediately and had water brought to our table. Menu was extensive, with overstuffed sandwich classics like Reubens and clubs, salads and classic fare like knishes and lox. They also serve breakfast all day. I had the grilled veggie wrap. It came with homestyle potato chips. My companion had a tuna melt (solid albacore) with pepper jack cheese on an English muffin (also with chips). Both portions were huge. The veggies were still crunchy but cooked thoroughly (zucchini, squash, peopers and onions) with red pepper hummus stuffed in a huge burrito style spinach tortilla. Comfort food done well. As a bonus there was a pickle bar of half sour, full sour pickles, cornichons, sauerkraut and pickled peppers. Favorites were the half sour pickles and sauerkraut (went well with the wrap). It is a cute restaurant located off of Boiling Brooke Parkway in Rockville, Maryland. The inside is decorated with warm woods and shelves and freezers filled with Italian frozen entrees, desserts, and sauces. As you walk up to the counter, you are warmly welcomed. I ordered the Italian cold cut sub and the meatball sub. They have a huge assortment of chips. I am really regretting not picking up a package of my favorite chips. Next time... Service was great. The gentleman who waited on me couldn't have been nicer. It took about 5 minutes for my food to be ready and I was out the door. I want to echo other reviewers, when I say there are no tables or chairs for eating. This is strictly order your food and take it with you. My meatball sub was delicious. It was packed with large portions of meatballs, that were roasted in a tasty marinara sauce. The roll was fresh and soft. I highly recommend this sub. The Italian sub was good, but it was crying out for a little lettuce and tomato. I know that they offer the sub with a green sauce, but I found the taste of the sauce oily and too parsley heavy. I was really glad I had it put on the side. Other than that, the Italian meats were tasty and the sub roll fresh and tender. Prices were reasonable, it was about $20 for both subs. I will definitely return to get some homemade pasta and that tiramisu that was tempting me in the fridge. Gratzi,Vignola Gourmet.

They also have a small grocery section with imported Italian goods (canned clams, tomatoes, olive oils, cookies, etc) and frozen premade goodies like sauces, lasagnas, Italian sausage, pizza dough, and even ice cream. We ordered a hot porchetta sub, cold cut sub, and homemade pappardelle with pesto cream sauce. The owner helped us choose a "soft" sub roll for the porchetta and a "hard" Italian baguette for the cold cut sub. The food was all very tasty and felt like we traveled to a simpler time where ingredients shine for themselves. The porchetta was tender and flavorful, and together with the soft roll, kind of reminded me of a Taiwanese gua bao or Cantonese charsiu bao. It was incredible and smelled so delicious! The cold cut sub was simple and well balanced, and good with the harder baguette. Lastly, the handmade pappardelle was delightfully chewy and reminded me of Chinese hand pulled noodles. Didn't expect to have such parallels with Chinese food- and I enjoyed reflecting on how different cultures can come to have similar tastes and values. Next time we'll have to try their desserts and more of their menu! Can't wait to come back. Go check out this gem in Rockville, and experience a taste of Italy!
