Cava Mezze had some of the best customer service I'd ever experienced. The staff was so attentive--everyone from my server to the manager. Any member of the staff that simply passed my table made sure to ask me if I was enjoying my food or give me an update on the status of my food. My server also made sure to inform me about the restaurant's cuisine and menu before I ordered. As a solo diner, she made recommendations about what may be best since I wouldn't be sharing the small plates with a party. As for the food, I ordered the saganaki and grilled octopus. The restaurant also provided complimentary pita and harissa. The pita came out warm and the harissa was actually one of my favorite parts of the meal. The saganaki was good, but was ultimately just warm cheese; So as a solo diner, the $16 cost wasn't worth it to me. If dining alone, I probably would spend my money on a more unique appetizer like the hush puppies or mezze tasting. The elements of the grilled octopus were good, but felt like they were slightly off or missing something when paired all together. The grilled squid was tasty (well seasoned and smokey), but had a few too many burnt pieces for my preference and was /slightly/ tough. I still really enjoyed the flavor of it though. The fava puree was sooo good! Again, it had a great, slightly salty flavor that I really enjoyed. I think it was perhaps the brininess of the capers that threw off the flavors off, but the dish felt 100% more balanced once I mixed in some of the complimentary harissa! I really enjoyed my time at Cava Mezze and am excited to return to try more items from their menu. This restaurant is solo-date approved!

We had a reservation, just in case for any craziness, but it seems like anytime right before 12 looked like a good time to go. The whole staff was friendly and very quick to assist with anything that we needed. We ordered the Brunch Mania each and I got the Nutella Banana Fritters, Smoked Salmon Toast, and Spicy Lamb Benedict. Each dish was full portioned, which was great, so that you got your money's worth (other Cava Mezze's I've been to before had tapas style, but it has been a long time since that time). Each dish was delicious, and luckily I was able to try some other dishes that my wife ordered, which were wonderful. Don't sleep on those hush puppies, I wish I could've gotten more. We also ordered mimosas, which were 25 cents each (if you get the brunch mania), all of which were strong and worth it.

"Opa! Opa!" The crowd shouted as our saganaki burst into flames. Opa means party and it just so…read morehappens we were celebrating a birthday! I had visited Ayse Meze Lounge in Frederick, but their King Farm location is excellent. The service was very good. Luke was our server and he was warm and welcoming. We started off the meal with fried artichokes and saganaki. Both dishes were delicious. The artichokes were cooked perfectly and the saganaki melted in your mouth. Then, we both had lamb chops. They were served with fingerling potatoes and some eggplant and tomato stew. The lamb was tender and full of flavor. The potatoes were crisp and tasty. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake with coffee ice cream. It was fabulous. So, from appetizers to dessert it was a memorable meal. " Opa!"

I selected it from the box of tea selections, which I see has some different selections from the last time I was here (like that there is some variety). Enjoyed my selection. For food, I got their King Burger. Menu description stated it is on a brioche bun with Ayse aioli, beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Our server didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, so I shared my preference with them. It came out how I wanted it. The burger comes with hand-cut French Fries or an Ayse side salad. I got it with fries even though I left a lot behind on my plate. The burger is tall in size. Before cutting my burger in half, I removed the onions since I'm not a fan of that overall. The burger was good. I also grabbed some dessert - Orange Yogurt Cake. Even though I have had it before, it didn't taste the same but was manageable. Was it missing something? I'm not sure. I may stick to something different next time. Note: Be aware that if you ask for extra bread (beyond what is initially complimentary), you will be charged for it. My friend was not informed of this when they asked for extra.

The hummus is very good. The babaganoush is very smokey. The falafel are the best I have found other than the world famous Maoz, I just wish they were bigger so they would stay hot and moist longer. T. $6 for 5 doesn't feel right when I could eat 20 of them so unfortunately I won't be ordering them again. The falafel are clearly labeled vegan and gluten free, as are many other items. The sauces are very good and they squirt them from bottles that dispense a generous amount. The meat unfortunately does not come right off the spit but is held in a metal bin like chipotle so they can keep the line moving, but you can see the 3 giant spits roasting away in the back. The last thing I love about this place is that you get something you simply can not make at home. Even if you make shawarma style chicken and have rice and greens, there's no way you're making hummus and babaganoush and all the sauces and then you'd also have to buy 20 ingredients for the toppings... It's the same idea as chipotle or if you know Cava, it's more like that. The price starts at $12.99 and the only thing that raises the price is if you get lamb or steak or double meat. All toppings are included. It's worth mentioning again, the hummus is very good, perhaps the best I've ever had. Not only great flavor but it's the creamiest smoothest hummus.

I usually get the half rice/half greens chicken shawarma bowl and appreciate that you can pick pretty much all the toppings. The hummus and pita crisps being two of my faves! I also got the falafel which was delicious. This is a weekly staple for me and I can't wait to be back for more!
