    Same leftovers

I wanted brunch, but did not feel like cooking. So I ordered breakfast. What I picked up was a single order but huge. 4 eggs over easy, perfectly cooked, 3 huge pancakes 1/2" thick yet light and fluffy, 3 rashers bacon and between home fries and hash brown potatoes, I chose hash browns. Huge portion 6"x6" and super crispy. The pictures show what was leftover after I ate a very big brunch. Needless to say, I'm skipping dinner today. GREAT VALUE

    This is an "American Classic!"

Yesterday, I had a craving for a BLT. No, I am not pregnant, but I know what you were thinking. ; ) Stephen Colbert called the BLT sandwich an "American Classic." I can't help, but agree! Then, you have to carefully choose where to order this "American Classic." My suggestion would be BLT in Gaithersburg. I order my BLT on rye bread. No, judgment please. BLT perfectly toasts the bread, then a light coating of mayonnaise, they pile on that crisp tasty bacon, and finish it off with fresh lettuce, and juicy sliced tomatoes. Ahhh, when you sink your teeth into the first bite, all of your senses tingle, and you savor the taste. But, before you know it, this delicious food frenzy is over. You have finished your scrumptious sandwich. That is because it was awesome. Now, you are left with your hot, crisp, crunchy, perfectly fried- French fries. They are overflowing your plate, as you crunch and munch your way to happiness. Yes, this is my guilty pleasure. I ordered on the phone and my sandwich and fries, were ready to go when I got there. The people who run BLT are warm, friendly, and totally on point. The price point is so reasonable! My dad really enjoyed egg and cheese sandwich for brunch or lunch. Don't forget, they close early, so visit before 2:00 pm. You will leave satisfied and full. They will fill your craving, until the next time.

I booked prior reservations on their website. The restaurant was clean and I loved that they had a separate bar area. Probably good for Happy hour. We sat at a booth. Our server name was Chanel. She explained the specials for the day. I must add just listening to her about the rockfish Special had me drooling. Of course you know that's what I ordered. It did not disappoint. My husband had the jambalaya and he was happy with his decision as well. We shared the appetizer and the dessert. Which was the bread pudding. Words can't describe how happy I was with all of my selections. I noticed they had street parking available and there's a free open garage about two blocks away. We parked there and walked. Wasn't far at all. This now has become one of my favorite restaurants. We were visiting some family members. Whenever I'm visiting you can best believe this will be our next stop. I'm still thinking about the food and we did have leftovers. Looking forward to finishing it up today. Thanks Coastal Flats. For an amazing meal.

Our server Eric was that person. He exuded positive energy. Eric arrived the moment we sat to get our drink orders. He subsequently made excellent recommendations and was just the right amount of attentive throughout our meal. We started with the little Ozzie breads which are round pieces of fried dough. It's not a donut because it has no sugar coating. Not quite a beignet. You eat it with their honey butter which takes it to a new level of deliciousness. Definitely worth getting! We ordered the blue crab and shrimp fritter appetizer. We took Eric's recommendation to add one more fritter for an additional $4 so we each could have two and that was the right thing to do because these were incredible flavor bombs! The fritters were fantastic especially with the delicious sauce. The low country beef ribs fell off the bone and were amazing. They were slightly sweet but not too much. We substituted sweet potato fries for regular fries just to try something new. The cole slaw on the side was in a creamy, mayonnaise sauce. Unfortunately, this was quite bland and disappointing. We also ordered the lobster club salad at market price which happened to be $41. You got about half a cup of lobster, some bacon pieces, grape tomatoes, half an egg, a bit of avocado and corn on a bed of lettuce with dressing. The lobster was in a creamy sauce that was bland like the cole slaw. When you mixed everything up, the dressing made it better and it was a tasty salad which I enjoyed. However, for the price point, I expected more lobster, more portion, just more. It was tasty but not worth the market price. Overall, what I remember most about the experience is the ozzie breads, blue crab and shrimp fritters and Eric whose personal charm and excellent service made it a great meal. (Honestly, I wanted to give this 4 stars because of the cole slaw and lobster salad, but Eric's service took it back up to a 5.)

Although I had been to the Rio before, it had been quite some time, so finding the restaurant was a bit difficult, but we eventually made it. We arrived shortly after noon, and the restaurant was quiet, with only one other table occupied. The hostess greeted us, showed us to our table, and started us off with water. Shortly after, our server, Mary, came by to take our food and drink orders. Since it was our first visit, we asked for recommendations, and everything she suggested was excellent. My usual Appletini was good, although it tasted more like vodka than apple. The jumbo lump crab dip, while a bit small in portion, was absolutely delicious and packed with crab and perfectly paired with the sesame baguette. Mary also recommended the shrimp and chicken tenders basket, which was another great choice. My only critique would be to cut the chicken tenders into smaller, bite-sized pieces, as they were quite large and, combined with the crunchy batter, a bit difficult to eat. However, the flavor was spot on. The menu is extensive, including a wide variety of drinks and oysters from different regions. Although I spent more than expected, I would consider visiting again in the future.

I first tried at Silver Spring on a date in July 2018. In fact, that was one of the dates where we went to Kung Fu Tea after dinner (see my 3-star review I just wrote of them). I was impressed with that location. So, in March 2019, I was happy my friend had his birthday party there. The same friend who went to BJ's Restaurant in Frederick (my last review I just wrote: see my 3-stars of them) also joined me for a movie & for the birthday party. She swayed me to get Prime Rib. And she was right! One of the best prime ribs out there. Ultimately, she became a girlfriend, and early on in that relationship, she really wanted to go back to Copper Canyon, and after a movie at RIO, we went again. Service was very good, and we enjoyed prime rib again. Prime rib comes with green beans & mashed potatoes, which are great too, but the real star is the prime rib itself. Interestingly, my girlfriend of that time ate the prime rib by herself on Friday, March 13, 2020. She joined me for 1 movie, I joined my friend for 2 movies, & he went to 3 movies on that Friday. He was understandably concerned the movie theaters were shutting down any day for Covid, and he wanted to get his AMC A-List 3 movies in for the week of March 13-19, 2020 and not break his 90+ week streak he had going of always getting his 3 movies in since he joined A-List. My friend & I had dinner at BGR before my 1st movie & his 2nd movie, which went out of business unfortunately, but BGR in Columbia is still there. Like my friend panicking about getting his 3 movies in, my girlfriend was being pragmatic saying I won't be able to have prime rib for a while as restaurants will shutdown for Covid. I was a bit jealous even though BGR was good; let's be honest Copper Canyon prime rib is even better! In December 2025, my girlfriend wanted to try Copper Canyon for her birthday since I had mentioned the place several times (including times I went with my ex). I realized there's one by Arundel Mills, which was great as I didn't want to schlep from my home to Largo, Silver Spring, or Gaithersburg in order of distance, none of which are close to my home today, which is only about 8 miles from Arundel Mills. That new location is my new favorite, but this one is a close 2nd place.

I reached out and was speaking to the back end and was told that they were sorry for the quality and quantity of food and that they would mail me a gift card. I am attaching a photo of receipt of how much we ordered. We ordered a chocolate cake, the photo online showed a massive slice of cake, ours looked as if someone cut half of it off where the cake is supposed to be pointed. $12 for half a cake. My bfs meal was supposed to come with two sides. He ordered mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were in with the steak and it was a small portion that looked like a small ice cream scoop, ribeye ($49.00). We did not get the Cole slaw. We ordered a house side salad. It was literally a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with some of the sides. ($14.00) I ordered the steak frites (34.00) the fries were fine, my steak had these weird pieces (see photo) inside, that were veins or ligaments but def not edible and very chewy and gross. I chewed a few pieces and kept having to over chew and then would spit out the pieces because it was rubbery, after the second piece I noticed the texture and then spit it out, then saw whatever it was that was causing the texture and issue. Seeing that immediately made me lose my appetite. So I was left hungry and turned off by my meal and filled up on calamari and fries. I have ordered this before and it usually comes with a nice amount of slices. Mine came with four pieces of sliced steak. We ordered the calamari and had no complaints. The back end comes to my house and drops off a GC of $25.00! Which to me is an insult. For that they can keep their cheap cop out. I will not be back. We spent $134.00 and tipped $19.00 for a take out order. And all they could give us back for a terrible experience and quality of food was $25.00?! Their salad alone was $14. The cake is $12. So basically come back spend more money and we will cover one simple thing but several of your items were sub par and or gross. I would not recommend. This restaurant took a lot of money and did the bare minimum to fix the issue and threw a minimum amount to appease the customer. But didn't mind taking my hard earned money, which I will now spend elsewhere. I also will be mailing back the card. Whoever came to my condo to drop off the gift card came at midnight. Which to me is weird and an odd time to come to someone's house. I have it on security video.
