    Same leftovers

I wanted brunch, but did not feel like cooking. So I ordered breakfast. What I picked up was a single order but huge. 4 eggs over easy, perfectly cooked, 3 huge pancakes 1/2" thick yet light and fluffy, 3 rashers bacon and between home fries and hash brown potatoes, I chose hash browns. Huge portion 6"x6" and super crispy. The pictures show what was leftover after I ate a very big brunch. Needless to say, I'm skipping dinner today. GREAT VALUE

    This is an "American Classic!"

Yesterday, I had a craving for a BLT. No, I am not pregnant, but I know what you were thinking. ; ) Stephen Colbert called the BLT sandwich an "American Classic." I can't help, but agree! Then, you have to carefully choose where to order this "American Classic." My suggestion would be BLT in Gaithersburg. I order my BLT on rye bread. No, judgment please. BLT perfectly toasts the bread, then a light coating of mayonnaise, they pile on that crisp tasty bacon, and finish it off with fresh lettuce, and juicy sliced tomatoes. Ahhh, when you sink your teeth into the first bite, all of your senses tingle, and you savor the taste. But, before you know it, this delicious food frenzy is over. You have finished your scrumptious sandwich. That is because it was awesome. Now, you are left with your hot, crisp, crunchy, perfectly fried- French fries. They are overflowing your plate, as you crunch and munch your way to happiness. Yes, this is my guilty pleasure. I ordered on the phone and my sandwich and fries, were ready to go when I got there. The people who run BLT are warm, friendly, and totally on point. The price point is so reasonable! My dad really enjoyed egg and cheese sandwich for brunch or lunch. Don't forget, they close early, so visit before 2:00 pm. You will leave satisfied and full. They will fill your craving, until the next time.

An absolute jewel! The owners are really nice, services is great, reasonable priced (the really keep the customers in mind) and the food is top notch. Love the unfiltered atmosphere. Definitely my to go place when I want comfy food. Nothing they have will disappoint you.

I was a little apprehensive that we would have to wait to get a table but the hostess took us right away. We sat outside because we had my dog with us. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. However, she kept forgetting the small things, like glasses of water and sugar for our coffee. When she brought us the sugar each time she would only give us three packets and their were three of us at the table drinking coffee and tea. So that was pretty annoying. The food was good. We usually go to Silver Diner but this was a good change of pace. I ordered the French Toast with Bacon and eggs. It was good, I wish they used different bread for the toast though. Their wasn't really anything special about the dish. My parents ordered the Make Your Mark which included two eggs, meat, hashbrowns, and toast. They both enjoyed their breakfast. Everything was prepared and cooked to their liking. Overall, we had a good experience. Not sure when I will be back. But if you are in the area check them out. Cheers!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess who was very friendly. We arrived a bit late like 8pm and they close at 9 but luckily we were still able to be seated. Next, our waiter came over. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He gave great suggestions for drinks, and food. We ordered a sidecar, and Oaxacan Anticuado. The side car was bit strong but delicious and the Oaxacan Anticuado was a great play on an old fashioned. Charley's is known for their whisky cocktails so it was nice to experience a great drink that was not whisky. For appetizers we ordered a dozen of the half shell oysters. 6 of them were sweet and the remaining oysters were a little salty. I really enjoyed the sweet oysters. It was my first time tasting sweet oysters. They were prepared correctly and very enjoyable. For our entrees we ordered the catch of the day which was Halibat Fish with spinach and The grilled Za'tar crusted salmon with a loaded baked potato. Both of the fish were cooked to perfection and had great flavors. Overall, it was a great experience. They offer many seafood options. So if you are looking for a new seafood restaurant I highly recommend Charley's. I will be back soon. Cheers!

We ordered nearly every premium item on the menu--from the fried oyster appetizer to the crab cakes and various entrées--and none of it delivered. The red flags started early: the staff mentioned a recent menu change but knew nothing about it, and spent most of their time loitering and joking around. When the food arrived, the presentation was poor, and the taste was extremely below average. Paying a premium price for this quality is unacceptable. This was apparently their second menu since a recent remodel, but if things don't change, they won't last. Message to ownership: shut it down, fire the executive chef, and start over.

I decided to try something different and surprisingly I had never had this anywhere else either: Chicken & Waffles. You get 4 Belgian Waffle quarters and 2 nice sized pieces of chicken tenders and a little container of organic maple syrup. The chicken was seasoned well, juicy and had a slight crunch in parts of the pieces. I dipped a piece of the chicken and waffle and poured a little syrup on, and it was tasty. To wash it down I also got a cup of mango juice. I have had many mangoes (in fruit form) and this was not as sweet as I had hoped. My friend shared it could have been because it was fresh, but for me, the mango wasn't fully ripe yet (that was the taste I got). Towards the end of my drink, I decided to shake my cup up a little bit to shake up the juice and that helped a little. Two of my favorite staff members (Genesis and her mom, Maritza) were in-house and it was great to see them again. One of them shared that I should try the Blueberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie. The corned beef hash was decent, and the Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries was a nice sweet finish to the meal. That said, I thought the food was just okay for the price. Nothing we ordered was bad, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. The quality was solid, but I left feeling like there are better breakfast options in the area for the same price point. If you work nearby or are visiting one of the surrounding medical offices or hospitals, I could definitely see this being a convenient spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. However, as someone visiting the area, I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to return to.
