Damn, I really wanted to like this place and my food. I got the country fried steak and I felt sick after. Not that the food wasn't cooked well, but the steak just doesn't sit well with my stomach. I think it was just too heavy for me. It was definitely crunchy outside and hot inside. The steak was just too thick I suppose. I should've ordered a simpler breakfast, like the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. I'm sure I would've enjoyed that; who doesn't like bacon, egg, and cheese together? I will definitely give this place another shot, for their breakfast sandwiches since they have great reviews on Yelp. Just don't get the country fried steak. Ugh, I feel gross. I didn't really know what to expect when I walked in. A sign at the register saying not to come up til I knew what I wanted definitely was a surprise. I ordered the French toast platter with bacon, scrambled eggs and home fries with onion. That was a huge mistake. Overall, the meal looked okay, if not mostly good. The portions are huge and I was directed to carry out containers if I couldn't finish it. I found the squeeze bottle of syrup to be smart. I tried the eggs first. They were watery/mushy and had zero flavor. Not even egg flavor. Then I tried the home fries. Mushy and flavorless. I don't understand how anything with onions can have zero flavor. They gave 3-4 slices of French toast. The toast was toast. Not eggy. Not sweet. Some cinnamon flavor. Very soft. The two stars are actually for the meme posters hung around the restaurant. BLT GRILL is surprisingly consistent and delicious. It's VERY unassuming store front in a discount shopping center would never be where you would think one of the most affordable high quality breakfast menus would come from. We spent $44 and had 2 BLT's with home fries, sausage gravy & biscuits served with scrambled eggs, and a 3 egg platter served with waffles, sausage and hash browns. It was fast, packaged perfectly with condiments ( without asking) and labeled bagged and ready on a Sunday morning at 10:45 in 20 minutes. They were friendly and grateful for the business. read more

Great local breakfast spot! A friend of mine recommended trying this place out. I came during a weekday early in the AM and they were already busy cooking up orders (says a lot about their food!). I ordered their sausage, egg, and cheese bagel which was delicious! I don't know how they prepare their bagel sandwiches, but oh man I wanted to get a second one. Blt grill never fails. Small mom and pop deli and breakfast place with great portion food. They usually have a wait time of about 10 minutes and the food is always hot and cooked super well. For breakfast, I recommend just about anything. French toast, omelets and breakfast sandwiches are all great. For Lunch items all of the subs are great! They are only open until 3pm, so make sure you plan accordingly! The owners are also super nice and polite! Any restaurant can make a BLT, but the real good ones... man are they good. There's no room to hide or mask the ingredients. If the tomato isn't fresh, you're gonna taste it. This family owed and operated business serves fantastic breakfast items and other American favorites huge on flavor and size at a reasonable price. Eggs freshly cooked to order, large slices of meaty bacon, and well seasoned home fries compliment the tasty French toast or waffle platters. We have recently tried the cheesesteak sub for an early lunch ;-). It was plenty big to share and quite good too. Nice to know you can get breakfast and lunch items all day in case you're craving chicken wings and fries in the morning or an omelette in the afternoon/evening (got to love bre-nner!) Best breakfast in the area. It's not fancy, but always hot and delicious. Omelets, French toast, sandwiches, etc. The prices are very reasonable. Have been there multiple times in the past years. This place hits the spot when you wake up late on Sunday after a night of drinking and just need some good breakfast food but also want fries or a blt on the side. French toast is crispy on the edges but soft on the inside. Eggs always cooked exactly as you order them. Seasoned fries are addictive and pair extremely well with their perfectly proportioned BLT. Can't forget their equally addictive chicken wings! There are various toast and condiment options to compliment your meal. The husband and wife team are also super friendly, work together with efficiency, and are extremely patient when I'm not at my top speed & indecisive. BLT grill where have you been all my life?! Since I've been working in Gaithersburg for over a year now I felt like I had found all of the hidden gems. Apparently I was wrong and the BLT Grill was one gem I had never found before yesterday. I've heard coworkers talking about this place but never paid attention... what a total mistake that was. Luckily I was starving yesterday and a coworker mentioned the BLT Grill and allowed me to tag along. I had no idea where we were going and was super confused when we ended up by Roy Rogers. I could have sworn I had tried everything in that strip mall but I was wrong. I'll be honest, the outside of the BLT is un-inviting. I thought it was a little sketchy when we arrived but I was wrong. When I got inside the decor was underwhelming. It looks as if the BLT Grill could use a renovation to bring it into this generation. I noticed that the menu isn't huge, there breakfasts options and some random lunch/dinner option. I opted for breakfast, an egg and cheese sub served on a sub roll. I also ordered the breakfast potatoes- home fries with onions and seasoning. I really enjoyed my food and for $7 I'll be back. I noticed there were a bunch of people inside picking up to go orders and lots of people ordering pork chops and sandwiches. Just found this place while I was looking for a no fuss place for a good, well priced breakfast. I hit the jackpot! Very good food in generous portions, for a reasonable price I have yet to find anywhere else! I came in on a Sunday and they were very busy. The woman who was taking my order started off by asking me first if I'd mind waiting for 20 minutes for my order to be done. I had nowhere to go so I was fine with it, but I really appreciated that she was so upfront about it. Holy crap, how have I missed this place for so long? We saw it on the drive past yesterday and decided to stop in. Unfortunately, it was 4:30 and they were closed. But with our dedication to breakfast foods this turned into an opportunity rather than just a sad event. So this morning we headed back. The place is small but clean and the people are as nice as can be. It was a beautiful Sunday and we got there just before noon so there was a bit of a wait, but if you are at a breakfast place and your food is ready in 2 minutes you are starting your day with a mistake. You seat yourself and look at the menu then go to the counter to order. She told us the order would be about 20 minutes (although we learned a lesson from the people next to us who called and ordered and then came in to eat about 18 minutes later so their food came out a minute after they sat down) and it was just under 20 minutes. Both of us ate a ton of food and we both brought some home, truly a great value for really good food. This place just became our favorite breakfast place; taking out a place we have been going to for at least 30 years. read more

Wow you want to talk about bang for your buck? This is the place for breakfast. Came here on a whim and they do not disappoint - the portions are huge and tasty. This is that good old "hey I want breakfast but too lazy to make it type of breakfast" where the eggs are just as if you were making it at home, pancakes nice and thick, and toast perfectly toasted. Literally you'll be full for hours if you dine here with the most important meal of the day. The place itself is pretty quirky with memes and such on the walls, nothing too fancy. BLT Grill will always receive major kudos and high fives for giving out massive portions for a great price. At BLT Grill, I can get an omelet with home fries, toast, and a side of bacon for no more than $10 and it'll be a great portion on your plate. If you order the same thing from a place like iHop, expect to receive at least half the portion BLT Grill gives you and it'll cost about $16. You think large portions and the prices are great, but their food also taste amazing! As far as portions are concerned, it'll hold you into the day if you manage to finish it in one sitting. If you can't finish it one sitting, you'll definitely have enough for a second meal to eat later on. I have a few notable selections: 1.) Steak and cheese omelet w/home fries and toast. 2.) Egg platter and cheese w/hash browns, sausage, and toast. 3.) French toast w/eggs and sausage. 4.) Bacon cheeseburger w/seasoned fries. 5.) Bacon, egg, and cheese sub w/seasoned fries.
