Mango Martini and Raspberry Lemondrop

What a great experience. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly hostess who took us to our table. It was a bit crowded so luckily we were able to be seated right away. Our waiter then came to our table and explained the menu and took our orders. She was very friendly and attentive. The food was great. I ordered the smoked salmon on top a fields green salad. The salmon was a little overcooked for my taste however, the flavor profile was outstanding. The salad was great in flavor with the vinaigrette dressing. My mom ordered the fish fingers with fries and a corn salsa which was also delicious. The ambiance was nice. Very seafood forward. Overall, it was a great experience. I will be back soon. I suggest you check it out if you are in Downtown Crown.

I'm excited about being here!

When I tell you that I enjoyed every single meal here. That's no exaggeration. I enjoyed every thing right down to my selection of adult beverage to the dessert. The service was prompt. I booked prior reservations on their website. The restaurant was clean and I loved that they had a separate bar area. Probably good for Happy hour. We sat at a booth. Our server name was Chanel. She explained the specials for the day. I must add just listening to her about the rockfish Special had me drooling. Of course you know that's what I ordered. It did not disappoint. My husband had the jambalaya and he was happy with his decision as well. We shared the appetizer and the dessert. Which was the bread pudding. Words can't describe how happy I was with all of my selections. I noticed they had street parking available and there's a free open garage about two blocks away. We parked there and walked. Wasn't far at all. This now has become one of my favorite restaurants. We were visiting some family members. Whenever I'm visiting you can best believe this will be our next stop. I'm still thinking about the food and we did have leftovers. Looking forward to finishing it up today. Thanks Coastal Flats. For an amazing meal.

Lobster Club Salad

I had a very nice dining experience recently at Coastal Flats. Once in a while you meet a server who is just so good at their job --professional and friendly, with great timing, checking in at all the right times that this transforms a regular meal into a lovely experience. Our server Eric was that person. He exuded positive energy. Eric arrived the moment we sat to get our drink orders. He subsequently made excellent recommendations and was just the right amount of attentive throughout our meal. We started with the little Ozzie breads which are round pieces of fried dough. It's not a donut because it has no sugar coating. Not quite a beignet. You eat it with their honey butter which takes it to a new level of deliciousness. Definitely worth getting! We ordered the blue crab and shrimp fritter appetizer. We took Eric's recommendation to add one more fritter for an additional $4 so we each could have two and that was the right thing to do because these were incredible flavor bombs! The fritters were fantastic especially with the delicious sauce. The low country beef ribs fell off the bone and were amazing. They were slightly sweet but not too much. We substituted sweet potato fries for regular fries just to try something new. The cole slaw on the side was in a creamy, mayonnaise sauce. Unfortunately, this was quite bland and disappointing. We also ordered the lobster club salad at market price which happened to be $41. You got about half a cup of lobster, some bacon pieces, grape tomatoes, half an egg, a bit of avocado and corn on a bed of lettuce with dressing. The lobster was in a creamy sauce that was bland like the cole slaw. When you mixed everything up, the dressing made it better and it was a tasty salad which I enjoyed. However, for the price point, I expected more lobster, more portion, just more. It was tasty but not worth the market price. Overall, what I remember most about the experience is the ozzie breads, blue crab and shrimp fritters and Eric whose personal charm and excellent service made it a great meal. (Honestly, I wanted to give this 4 stars because of the cole slaw and lobster salad, but Eric's service took it back up to a 5.)

Listen... sometimes a restaurant just gets it right...Even if you ain't a Chicago Bears fan.  Da Bears. Walked in to Coastal Flats on a Friday night and the whole place already had the right vibe. Warm lighting, people actually enjoying themselves, couples smiling, plates coming out looking like a Patti LaBelle song. You can tell when a spot is being run properly, and Josh, the GM, clearly has that place humming like his name was Ben Johnson. Josh walked over, chopped it up with us for a minute, and recommended the Bourbon Smash (Maker's Mark, balanced, over ice, not sugary, just clean...smooth in the best way). Real easy to order another one. Our server, Melvin, was top-flight. Funny, patient, knew the menu, and had that timing where he shows up exactly when you need something (or your fork barely hit the plate). No rushing, no disappearing act. Just intentional, well-paced service the whole night. Now let's talk eats. First off, the bread basket... maaan listen. That bread was soooo good it made the table hush for a min. You know the moment when everybody takes a bite and just nods? Yeah. That. Just like that. The Low Country Ribs were ridiculous. Tender like they already accepted their fate before they even hit the plate. Them jaunts gave up; falling fresh off the bone and were glazed up just right too. The Brussels sprouts were crazy too! Crispy edges, big beautiful flavor, the type of dish that ends up stealing attention from the main course (normally, but not today). The real sleeper for this delectable Friday meal? The filet tips! Off menu. Off the beaten path, yet the real deal. And honestly...it shouldn't be off the menu. Penne pasta tossed with filet tips cooked perfectly and this bright lime sauce that somehow works way better than you'd expect. Than it has a right to. Light, flavorful, and one of those dishes where you keep taking bites just to figure out how they pulled it off. The kitchen really stuck the landing. Hats off to them. Moving along, you know we had to hit up the bread pudding. It's top-flight fr. It never disappoints. Ever. Big shout out again to Josh for running a tight ship and holding a great conversation, and to Mel for making sure the whole night stayed smooth. Sorry about Mad Maxx, but I'm sure you guys will be fine. Tl,dr: Coastal Flats isn't just serving food. They're taking care of people. Real talk, they even got me set up for my bday. Hands down, CF was far and away the best service I've had yet in 2026. They really doin something special over there. I'll be back soon.

Coastal Flats is a solid choice for dinner. Our party of two started with the calamari and babycake sliders, and both appetizers were great. The calamari was perfectly crisp without being greasy. The babycake sliders were full of flavor. For my main course, I had the Tuna Salad, and it did not disappoint. The fish was fresh, high-quality, and prepared just right, with a balance of flavors that made the dish feel both light and satisfying. The portion size was generous. Service was friendly and fast. I'd recommend for both a relaxed meal with friends or a dependable dinner out.

Hickory Grilled Absolutely Fresh Fish - Mahi mahi (fall edition)

I've been to Coastal Flats a few times over the years, but my visit last night prompted me to write a review. I made a reservation online for dinner - it was not crowded at all likely because it was a weeknight and it's a bit cooler out now. On the reservation, I indicated that we were there for a birthday (and in the past, restaurants don't really do anything unless we ask for a bday dessert or something). To my surprise, the hostesses acknowledged it upon arrival and wished my dad a happy birthday which made him feel so happy. They passed it on to our server who also made him feel special. This small but impactful gesture really set the tone for our visit! We came to dinner hungry so we went directly to entrees. Our server reviewed the specials and told us about the fresh fish of the day which was the mahi mahi that was served with bits of bacon and over a puree that included butternut squash. We ordered that and the pecan crusted trout. Both choices were excellent! Both dishes were deliciously put together- the freshness of the fish, mixed savory/sweet flavor profile and tender texture... just WOW! The portions were generous as well, so we had leftovers to take home. Overall, we loved the food and the service was top notch. I am so happy that my dad enjoyed his birthday dinner because of the yummy food, but also for the kindness of each staff member we encountered. A special shoutout to our server Sylvie who was so personable and made our visit so special. Thank you, Coastal Flats staff! We will be back for the next family birthday.

I booked a sendoff for one of my employees here my party of 15 was reduced to a party at nine and they were very accommodating. The parking structure for the crown is right behind this establishment so a easy walk.

Cute lunchtime spot that we chose based on its looks from the outside. The staff was pleasant as we entered, and we sat right down. We got there soon after opening, so service was a little slower, but the wait staff was pleasant as well! The food took a little longer as well, but not so much to infringe on time, so it was OK too. It was served hot and it was great. Overall, the only reason for the 4 is the slowed service.

Had lunch at the bar recently. Always great service and consistent food. Forgot how good the calamari is! Also enjoyed the lobster roll, a burger and a basket of Ozzie rolls.

I came to Maryland with family and decided I wanted crab before I left. I did some searching online and found this restaurant conveniently located near my hotel. The pictures and reviews were great. We arrived for our reservation and were greeted then seated immediately. The ambiance is nice and the staff was friendly. We were a party of six that turned into a party of 8 and they were so accommodating. Our server was very attentive and kind. Now to the food. The bread was amazing and the fancy butter was also. I ordered jumbo crab cakes with cole slaw and swapped my friends for cucumber tomato salad that had avocado and corn in it as well. I also had lobster bisque soup. It was so so tasty. I am so glad we chose this place. It was such a vibe. My crabcakes were delicious and had just the right crunch. The sauce was a great compliment as well. Really good dining experience overall. My family hugged and laughed and talked and ate. Almost everyone cleared their plates. Fun times.

Fish Fingers

I enjoyed a nice meal starting with a fluffy warm bread and , a perfectly shaken mango martini. For my meal I dined on cod fish fingers with shoestring potatoes and. The meal was light and flavorful. The service was very good as the waitress was attentive and food was served quickly and it was served hot. The atmosphere was busy but well organized. It was my first visit and I will come back without hesitation.

Next, our waiter came over. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He gave great suggestions for drinks, and food. We ordered a sidecar, and Oaxacan Anticuado. The side car was bit strong but delicious and the Oaxacan Anticuado was a great play on an old fashioned. Charley's is known for their whisky cocktails so it was nice to experience a great drink that was not whisky. For appetizers we ordered a dozen of the half shell oysters. 6 of them were sweet and the remaining oysters were a little salty. I really enjoyed the sweet oysters. It was my first time tasting sweet oysters. They were prepared correctly and very enjoyable. For our entrees we ordered the catch of the day which was Halibat Fish with spinach and The grilled Za'tar crusted salmon with a loaded baked potato. Both of the fish were cooked to perfection and had great flavors. Overall, it was a great experience. They offer many seafood options. So if you are looking for a new seafood restaurant I highly recommend Charley's. I will be back soon. Cheers!

We ordered nearly every premium item on the menu--from the fried oyster appetizer to the crab cakes and various entrées--and none of it delivered. The red flags started early: the staff mentioned a recent menu change but knew nothing about it, and spent most of their time loitering and joking around. When the food arrived, the presentation was poor, and the taste was extremely below average. Paying a premium price for this quality is unacceptable. This was apparently their second menu since a recent remodel, but if things don't change, they won't last. Message to ownership: shut it down, fire the executive chef, and start over.

I have to say, though busy, the service didn't miss a beat. Jenn - our server - was attentive/kind and fun. I got the filet mignon with the compound butter and my homie got some BBRibs to complement the aforementioned cornbread. The food came out fast and we got to eating. As always with every time I've been here, it slapped. Sides were solid, the steak was cooked to perfection and them ribs were disappearing off the plate! Good times. We followed up our entrees with a solid - and I mean solid - bread pudding. Jeez, this thing is decadent, but we got after it. Jenn brought us a scoop of ice cream and we went to town! Delicious. If you've got a sweet tooth, do yourself a favor and grab the Bread Pudding. It was soft, pillowy, but sweet (not overly sweet) and filling. As for ambiance, again, we were kickin it patio side and could see the water just fine. Honestly, this was a dope backdrop for our super deep convo on Frank Ocean vs. Frankie Beverley. Absolutely fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I had the rainbow trout with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was fresh, light, and tasty. The trout itself was a very generous portion. For dessert, we dove into their Chocolate Uprising: Sort of like a ice cream sandwich on steroids with heavy cream and a chocolate and caramel base. It was fantastic and insane and we just couldn't finish it! I cannot remember having caramel that good (not sweet but rich). The staff is excellent. The hostess was warm and accommodating, offering to seat me while I waited for my friend. Once she arrived, we were promptly shown to a comfortable booth in the dining room. The floor-to-ceiling windows filled the space with natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. We started with the cheesesteak spring rolls (three per order), which were delicious. They tasted exactly as advertised--gooey cheesesteak filling wrapped in a perfectly crispy spring roll. For our entrees, my friend ordered the short ribs with broccoli instead of risotto, while I chose the Cajun shrimp pasta. The short ribs came with two generous pieces and were incredibly tender. My friend, who always orders short ribs whenever they're on a menu, was thoroughly impressed. The Cajun shrimp pasta was just okay. While it included a generous portion of nicely sized shrimp and the sausage added some much-needed flavor, the dish overall fell short of my expectations. The pasta was cooked slightly past al dente, and I was hoping for more of the bold, spicy kick you'd expect from a Cajun dish, but the flavors never really came through. To top off the evening, our server surprised me with a complimentary birthday dessert, allowing me to choose anything on the menu. That was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cheesecake, which was served in a half mason jar with whipped cream, a chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque, and a candle. I requested the blueberry compote on the side since I wasn't sure we'd enjoy it. While it ended up being a bit sweeter than our preference, it complemented the tart cheesecake filling nicely. The only thing that caught me off guard was that the cheesecake was served warmer than expected. On a hot summer evening, I was anticipating a chilled dessert. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. The attentive service, comfortable atmosphere, and the fact that we never felt rushed--even after spending about two and a half hours at dinner--made for a memorable birthday celebration. While my entrée didn't quite hit the mark, I'd gladly return to try another dish with a bolder flavor profile.

I reached out and was speaking to the back end and was told that they were sorry for the quality and quantity of food and that they would mail me a gift card. I am attaching a photo of receipt of how much we ordered. We ordered a chocolate cake, the photo online showed a massive slice of cake, ours looked as if someone cut half of it off where the cake is supposed to be pointed. $12 for half a cake. My bfs meal was supposed to come with two sides. He ordered mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were in with the steak and it was a small portion that looked like a small ice cream scoop, ribeye ($49.00). We did not get the Cole slaw. We ordered a house side salad. It was literally a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with some of the sides. ($14.00) I ordered the steak frites (34.00) the fries were fine, my steak had these weird pieces (see photo) inside, that were veins or ligaments but def not edible and very chewy and gross. I chewed a few pieces and kept having to over chew and then would spit out the pieces because it was rubbery, after the second piece I noticed the texture and then spit it out, then saw whatever it was that was causing the texture and issue. Seeing that immediately made me lose my appetite. So I was left hungry and turned off by my meal and filled up on calamari and fries. I have ordered this before and it usually comes with a nice amount of slices. Mine came with four pieces of sliced steak. We ordered the calamari and had no complaints. The back end comes to my house and drops off a GC of $25.00! Which to me is an insult. For that they can keep their cheap cop out. I will not be back. We spent $134.00 and tipped $19.00 for a take out order. And all they could give us back for a terrible experience and quality of food was $25.00?! Their salad alone was $14. The cake is $12. So basically come back spend more money and we will cover one simple thing but several of your items were sub par and or gross. I would not recommend. This restaurant took a lot of money and did the bare minimum to fix the issue and threw a minimum amount to appease the customer. But didn't mind taking my hard earned money, which I will now spend elsewhere. I also will be mailing back the card. Whoever came to my condo to drop off the gift card came at midnight. Which to me is weird and an odd time to come to someone's house. I have it on security video.
