    Deviled Eggs w/ crab
    Alma G.

First time here and I love how quiet it was. Waiters were very attentive and on top of everything. Making sure our food came out fresh, delicious and with the requests accurate. Deviled eggs were ok, I thought it would be more for the price honestly. Burger was my favorite part. A delicious thick patty served at the temperature you desire. The fries were fresh, hot and perfectly salted. I loved it. Definitely coming back for the burger. Probably not the appetizers.

    Classic burger

We were looking forward to trying this new place as the burgers sounded delicious. We got here Saturday afternoon around 12:15 and we were literally the only people there. One person showed up at the bar but it was just empty. We both ordered 2 draft beers and the classic burger. The draft beers had sooooo much foam. R was also served the wrong beer; but our server wasn't really around enough to say anything. The burgers came out slightly over cooked which I guess we just need to expect from all restaurants now? Plenty of toppings, but there was not any flavor on the burger itself. The fries were pretty over cooked as well. R ordered the cheese fries (at a $2 upcharge) and the cheese was served in a ramekin on the side. Very odd and not worth the upcharge. There are other restaurants in this area that are more consistent so not sure we'll make it back. They seem new so maybe they need to work out some kinks.

    Turkey burger - SOOO flavorful!

Delicious food! Service was OK... I imagine it could get really loud when the restaurant is full and if there is live music. I met a couple of friends here after getting my nails done at Star Nails... We were seated immediately. I ordered the crab deviled eggs which were scrumptious! My friends ordered Mojito's that were perfectly mixed. I had the turkey burger and was blown away! Lol seriously, it was so so so so flavorful and YUMMY ! They ordered the kale salad and crab cakes and really enjoy their meals as well. Great food and very reasonable prices. I will definitely come back whenever in the area!!

Burger was raw on the inside not medium rare and the onion rings were inedible.

While it was easy to order online and my food was ready on time. My order was wrong, inedible, and expensive. I ordered a medium-rare burger with American cheese and bacon with a side onion rings. The burger was too raw to eat, it had cheddar cheese, and the onion rings were very strange. The were dipped in a thin batter but they weren't crispy in a eatable way. The burger played deviled eggs was $36 bucks. Total waste of money. I will not be back

Overpriced, mediocre, too loud to bring the kids. Would rate a C. May try again if without kids.

I'm not gonna lie, despite following the GPS, it was tricky for me to find where the restaurant was actually located. The GPS led me through the back way, so there were unmarked roads and no signage identifying Salt & Vine from the back. The easiest way to find the big white house of the restaurant is off of Olney Sandy Spring Road. There's a few parking spots available in the front and additional parking in the back. We had a private room upstairs, almost in a nook. The room was a little dingy and was a bit dated - the mirrors were tarnished and could've used some Windex - but the dining room table was set and it gave us the intimate ambiance that we were looking for. Service was excellent! Five stars for service! Ty was our primary server. He checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything, checked to see how the food was, and still gave us the space to enjoy our private lunch together. Any time a new guest arrived, Ty promptly greeted the newcomer and was ready to get them a drink. When the guest of honor arrived, he gave his congratulatory wishes and really set the tone for a wonderful luncheon at Salt & Vine. Service was super accommodating and pacing between the dishes was done really well. We never felt rushed and also never felt like we were sitting around wondering when the next dish would come. All the dishes served had the necessary serving utensils for family-style. Service was upscale in the sense that they changed out plates and silverware in between courses. Service was also super seamless - another staff member was there to assist to clear plates, bring out food and dishes, and do drink refills - and everyone did their job efficiently and effectively. Leftovers were also packed up by the staff and neatly packaged to take home. We had a family-style meal consisting of the arancini, grandma's meatballs, house salad, wood-oven roasted oysters, fusilli bolognese, artichoke and crab frittata, fresh berries and whipped cream, and cannolis. Each dish had beautiful presentation. The standout dish (and rightfully so) was the fusilli bolognese, which Ty said was by far the most popular dish on the menu. The fusilli bolognese was delicious! The fusilli bolognese was perfectly balanced between the meat, creamy tomato sauce, and cheese. I don't like pasta that's swimming in sauce or that has chunks of meat that's dry or rolls right out of the sauce - this fusilli bolognese does everything right and I'm here for it. The arancini was light and super cheesy on the inside. It's almost like a fried mozzarella ball. The meatball was served with a lovely dollop of herbed ricotta. Both the arancini and meatball were served in a tasty marina sauce and I would say they were good serving sizings for the starters. The house salad was fresh and nicely dressed, but pretty basic - some mixed greens, little tomatoes, pickled red onions, and croutons, plus a balsamic dressing. The artichoke and crab frittata was topped with mixed greens that almost felt like another salad. Everything was portioned out already, making it easy to serve and share the meal together. I do like a little more stuff in my frittata (peppers, onions, cheese, etc. aka the works), but I did appreciate that you can taste the crab and artichokes in the dish. For dessert, we had the fresh berries with whipped cream and a platter of cannolis. We loved the berries and whipped cream - so fresh and lightly sweet and airy. You get a two-for-one with the cannolis - you get chocolate chips on one side and pistachios on the other end - it's the best of both worlds! These were classic cannolis done really well. I highly recommend Salt & Vine for any event you may have. They hosted our luncheon expertly. And the fusilli bolognese- get it!

Quality is there by the looks of it they aren't rushing through the process and letting you know the time limit. 3 people on staff and they are movinggg. You have the option of a single double or triple burger. You can get a hot dog chips and a drink if you want. Customer service is consistent and great they seem very friendly upon approach that already tells you it'll be worth it. They plan on opening their brick and mortar this year so please take the time to visit them at their new location once open. The burger is thatttt double up on the Steeze sauce it's so worth it ! I will absolutely be back. My only thing is I wish there was a little more salt and pepper in the burger other than that PERFECT

We were pretty early in the line and the ordering part didn't take too long if you come ready. We ordered for a large group (double burgers, single burgers) and do wish they would add some bacon at some point. Pricing for 6 burgers/doubles was around $60ish so it wasn't too bad. We did end up waiting around 30 minutes for the food itself, perhaps because of the bigger order. The way they write on the burger covers was confusing, I wasn't sure which had no sauce or sauce or pickles or not so we had to unwrap all of them. I did love the sesame bun but I will say, I was surprised that the meat itself felt a little tasteless, like it needed some more seasoning. It definitely lacked the crispness of a classic smash burger but I will say, the cheese and Steez sauce so bring the whole thing together (along with the great pickles). I think if they just season the meat a bit more and give it a more crispy vibe, it could easily be the best burger out there. They did slightly mess up our order, giving us a burger with no sauce on the side like requested and one double sesame top bun triple burger when we ordered a double but overall a solid spot if you get in the line early.

I decided to get the fried artichokes for myself. I thought they were delicious... just one slight issue. I noticed that on a good deal of the artichoke hearts, the choke wasn't completely removed. Now... the choke (hairy little inside portion) is called the choke for a reason. That being said, there wasn't too too much of it and I just kinda cut most of it off with my spoon as it was fried and fairly easy to remove. The aioli that it was served with was quite good. I also got to try the brussel sprouts which were quite delicious, if not a bit heavy handedly sauced. It was definitely clear the brussel sprouts would have been very crispy if the sauce were added, tossed, and then strained. I also did get to try the poutine which ignited a debate with my friend about what type of cheese goes onto a traditional poutine, in which I clearly told him and can clearly tell you - he was wrong lol. Traditionally poutine is served with whole cheese curds. He was trying to argue that it was not and that they wouldn't melt from the heat of the fries and gravy. He is wrong. Argument handled lol. What I found interesting about the poutine that my friend got at Flipside was that the cheese curds were fried. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that! They're taking a different approach to a traditional poutine, but if it were me, I'd opt for unfried to create a bit more of a balance between the fries and the rest of the dish. That said, the fries and gravy were quite good! The chicken sandwich that my friend got looked amazing. I didn't get to taste it, as it's weird to ask for a bite of someone's sandwich, but it looks REAL tasty and he expressed it was. Overall, a few slight technical issues which I think Flipside could work out (really the brussel sprouts and the artichokes), but overall the flavors presented are on point. I don't include the cheese curd debate in the technical issues because that's a total preference and creative freedom issue. Hey, if you like fried on top of fried, those fries are for you - all puns intended. The only other thing I'd like to leave as constructive criticism is to say, I'd love to see 1 healthier option on the menu if possible. Everything seems to be fried, and I'd love to see a little something for those who'd like something a little lighter. Overall, great little food truck/trailer though.
