I was here about a year ago and the place was pretty quiet. Same today. You order at the counter and then they call you when your food is ready. Food came pretty promptly. The omelette was a nice size, filled with green pepper, onion and tomato bits. The potatoes were well prepared and were not dried out or oily. They really are well prepared - nice sized chunks that are charred on the outside and soft on the inside. A little bit of onion in with the potatoes. The toast was toast, but it was good too. Decent coffee. It's not fancy and for milk there's a choice between half and half cups and Coffee-mate. Refills on the coffee are $1. The place isn't fancy. The woman at the counter (possibly the owner) was efficient and it's nice and light inside.

I didn't have my glasses with me, so I couldn't read the menu very well. I don't care for American cheese, otherwise I probably would have ordered something different. My favorite is hot pastrami, and I would have ordered that, but the menu said it came on rye bread. My brother-in-law ordered it, and he said it actually came on pumpernickel. Overall, the service was great. The gentleman taking care of our group did an excellent job. I don't think anyone had to ask him for anything--or at least very rarely. So I enjoyed that, and noticed how big the place actually is. I feel like the only thing it's missing is a pool table, haha (unless I missed it). They have an excellent happy hour that I would love to try if I was in the area, but it's kind of far from home. Based on recent reviews, things do seem to be mixed, and I didn't try the food.
