The only thing that could have made it better is if they warmed the Stacie. The Hottie was toasted and is basically like eating Thanksgiving but in a sandwich. I'm obsessed with the brie and cranberry combination. Probably the best sandwich there but I'll have to try the others to confirm. The location in Germantown is a bit hard to find, but there's ample open parking in front of an office building that looks pretty quiet. If you see the walkway with the blue umbrellas, that's the entrance. There's some seating inside and the staff were friendly and service was quick.

The inside is adorable and has a few tables and chairs with bar height seating facing outside, which looks out to the courtyard seating, it's pretty cute for an office park. My favorite thing to get is a build your own sandwich (BYOS). Their hot pepper relish is so yummy!!! And you have to get a blondie when you go, 10/10 recommend!!! Got there around 1 pm, they close at 3 pm, and the service was efficient and the staff was kind too! Definitely go here as your local sandwich shop!

A convenient little diner/cafe in an area that desperately welcomes more food options!…read more I stopped for a quick lunch pick up. Easy to find and plenty of available parking out front. The menu is pretty large, but I'd say a lot of it is breakfast and they had finished serving breakfast at 11 am. I got the Chipotle Chicken Wrap which seemed like a new item, and a California Burger for David. Chipotle Chicken Wrap: Pretty standard and nothing incredibly mindblowing. The amount of jalapenos they put in there made it pretty spicy. Picked them out and gave it to David. I did like that they make it on a spinach wrap. California Burger: The patty was almost paper thin and definitely from frozen. It tasted fine and wasn't gross or anything, but not something I'd get again. Would be nice if both the burger and wrap came with a side to make it more of a meal tha just the sandwich alone. The service was quick and it seemed like the kitchen staff cooking behind the counter was efficient. I didn't wait long for my two items. Seemed like others eating at the cafe were regulars who may work in the area. Convenient for a quick lunch during break, I'd come back and try their other options or maybe that breakfast burrito which sounds like one of their most highlighted items.

They offer plenty of platters, appetizers, burritos, tortas, and desserts, as well as boxes for groups! We ordered some empanadas and pupusas and were pretty pleased. The pupusas were not the best I've had, but they were good and had flavor. They do have some limited seating inside if you want to eat there as well, but we mainly do take out. They offer specials on their social media pages as well. Damascus is pretty limited with options, so its good to have small local spots like Ricoton to offer the food options that they do.

Unfortunately, it sounds like they had recently moved and the machine used for empanadas wasn't going to arrive for a couple more weeks. I guess we'll just have to come back! Sharing space at the convenience store attached to a gas station, Ricoton looks very unassuming. But their food is decent and that's what's important. What we got: Pupusa (beans) - 3* average, nothing special Al Pastor Quesadilla - ?? I don't know!! We took our food and left to eat at home so I didn't realize until later that they got my order wrong. I believe it was still Al Pastor meat but it was served with onion, tomatoes, and fries. Also had a side of green salad and beans. I was a bit bummed I didn't get my quesadilla (with its side of chips and salsa) but the food was still good. Like four stars good. I just have no idea what it is Birria taco - 3* definitely use the dip. Overall an average taco. Carne Asada taco - 3* also just average

The Halal food truck is located just outside of the Marathon Gas Station and across the street from Flagship Carwash (currently closed for renovation). There is parking available, my family and I got our food to-go as I believe most customers do. I ordered the food via UberEats and it was ready when I arrived. We ordered two Cheesesteaks and I thought they were delicious, they were also pricey... $13.99 each. I did like the Flame Sauce drizzled on the sandwich. The sauce isn't spicy, but it is zesty and it added another flavor profile to the meaty cheesesteak. I also appreciated the thickness of the bread. It definitely held its own, didn't get soggy at all, or fall apart. The only Pupusa we ordered was the VegeMixta and I thought it was unique with ground Loroco Flowerbud being the first ingredient (never had it before and would have thought I was eating green pepper if I didn't know otherwise). I'd be interested in trying the other varieties of Pupusa. The Yuca Fritas came with fried pieces of beef, a cabbage slaw, a few pieces of radishes and cucumbers and a very light and delicious tomato based dipping sauce. I just loved that sauce!!! It was almost like tomato soup, but a lighter take of it (and not warm, like soup is usually. Also was mild in taste, not spicy). I don't know if I'd get the pieces of fried beef again, I wasn't interested in trying them, they looked hard and dried out/tough to chew (they can be excluded from ordering via UberEats menu). We also ordered a Nutella Crepe (the plain crepe is $8.99, and each topping is $0.99 extra). The amount of Nutella in and on the crepe was a generous amount. Just note the prices on the menu on their website are already outdated compared to UberEats, at least for the crepe. It used to be $6.99 and not it is $8.99... Not sure if this is the norm. There is one small picnic table outside of the food truck for anyone interested in eating on location. I feel this food truck will get busier when the Flagship re-opens!

Physical Exam: Food - I ordered the special four cheese bacon bagel that they had on special with tomato and scallion cream cheese. My wife got a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was all impressively reminiscent of a NY bagel. Great density, chew, and crust. The cream cheese was administered generously. Ambiance - The establishment presents as a classic New York bodega with a deli counter layout -- compact, no-frills, and entirely appropriate for its intended function. Great place if you want something with quick service and great food. Service - Quick, functional, and to the point. No complications noted. Assessment: A neighborhood gem and so thankful we stumbled upon it. Royal Bagel Bakery delivers an authentically New York bagel experience in an otherwise unlikely corner of Germantown, Maryland. One downside is they got very plain coffee, but it's the type of place where I'm looking at the coffee purely as fuel, and nothing more. Plan It's so far away but I definitely will try to go again next time I'm nearby. Specialty bagel was a phenomenal choice. Gotta try their cakes next time, which looked crazy good.
