We normally come here for their all you can eat special, but decided to switch things up a bit, on this visit. It had been a while since we last ordered from the menu. On this visit, we both got selections like what we had around our early times of visiting this spot. I cannot remember what my friend got, but I ordered one of the "Feasty Specials" which had 1/2 Snow Crab Legs and 1/2 Headless Shrimp. It came with sausages (sliced in pieces), 1 Corn (about 1/4 size), 1 Egg, and 2 Potatoes (the skin easily comes off). You get to pick the seasoning and I had Old Bay. What is presented to you is a large clear bag, steamed up and tied, with seasonings and all mixed up. It is served on a metal tray, and they also place an empty bowl on your table for discarding things. Plastic bib was on, bag opened, and I was ready to dig in. The seasoning took me back to my second visit a few years ago. It was when I first tasted their Old Bay mix and became a fan of it. Overall, this is an average experience out. The good - plenty of options on their all you can eat menu, or at least for us. Overall, the food is good, and, in our opinion, you do get what you pay for. Keep in mind that they DO charge you if you have leftover food on your table when you are done. Be mindful of that and make sure to let them know as you are finishing up, and want more, to scale down your portion size. There is a 90-minute window to eat. The servers don't really go over the menu much, so if it is your first time for all you can eat, make sure to take notice that the crab legs do come with a few different flavor options. The bad - They started a new policy, which I understand, but do not like. If you want all you can eat, everyone who is at the table must all order it as well, or nobody can. I understand they are protecting their profits, but that has taken us away from this place on more than one occasion to eat elsewhere as some wanted it and another family members wanted to order off the main menu. Also, service can be extremely slow, and I am not sure if it is intentional or not, but we have complained more than once and made them extend our time. Last time we went, they set our first order of food down on the table and as we were eating, the waitress walked by no less then 5 times and didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else. Then, magically, when our food was gone, we could not get anyone to come to the table for 15 minutes. Upon ordering our next round, it took another 20 more minutes for the food to arrive. They are sticklers about the 90-minute time frame, and we explained that twice this has happened and 60 minutes of our 90 minutes was wasted waiting on a server and then the food took forever. They allowed us one more round of food, which we appreciated and thought was fair. We start a stopwatch now and if we feel things are going slow, we address that with the server and sometimes put in a new order when the food is being dropped off. Overall, we are pleased to come here a few times a year. We only get all you can eat and usually are happy when we leave. The food is inconsistent as we do get the lobster tail with all you can eat, and it is usually overcooked and can chew like rubber, but still has good flavor. The crab legs sometimes come out waterlogged with salt, but most times piping hot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is your typical "average" 3-star restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are prepared to spend the money for all you can eat, you will leave satisfied and full, but never will you think "I wish I could come here every week". I have not ordered specific entrees off the regular menu so I cannot speak on portion size or quality of the food by ordering that way. Feasty Crab did a great job of feeding 3 hungry adults. We looked at each other and in agreement we decided that we were really hungry....and ordered the AYCE menu. A huge round of thanks to Christy, who provided the excellent service to our table. She was amazing. Every order came out exactly as it should be and she was on top of filling our drinks. Thanks Christy. We feasted on snow crab, mussels, lobster tail, shrimp, potatoes, sausage, onion rings, fries and sweet potato fries. We also ate crab Rangoon, fried calamari, and blue crab. It was all delicious. I would have to say my least favorites were the blue crab, it tasted funny. I also wasn't a fan of the mussels because they were very small and not very tender. Haven't been here in a while so it was due time for another visit! It did not disappoint!! While they did alter their menu slightly with eliminating the Dungeness crab, for the price you still cannot beat what they're offering. The flavor of the boil was still spot on and just fyi, if you're allergic to shellfish, they apparently cook it all in one pot. They did however add lobster so that was a nice addition but there is a limit to 1 per person. The service was great, while not packed, there were several tables along the dining room area but our server was great and she was prompt given we had 10 ppl in our party. Came here for lunch with my husband. We got the AYCE lunch which is a great deal. It doesn't include crab legs or oysters but they can be purchased for additional charge. You are able to order items and they are brought out to you. The service was good and we enjoyed our meal. The fried fish, scallops, hush puppies were good. TLDR: Still one of the best all-you-can-eat seafood boils in the area. Lobster tail added to the menu is a win, RIP to the free Dungeness crab. Feasty Crab in Derwood is still a solid choice! I first reviewed this place when they opened a few years back and was really impressed with the seafood quality, selection, and the value. I recently came back with a group of 10 for a Saturday lunch, and we all left happy. Some things have changed since the early days, most notably they no longer include Dungeness crab in the all-you-can-eat deal (you now have to order it a la carte), which was a bit of a letdown. On a positive note, they now include one lobster tail per person with the AYCE, and honestly, it was the best bite of the meal. Sweet, tender, and perfectly cooked. The rest of the menu is pretty much the same, which was great to see. We made our way through several rounds of shrimp, mussels, crawfish, and snow crab, all well seasoned. Service was also a win, as they were attentive and efficient, even with our big group. At $60 a person, it's still a solid deal. If one gets all you can eat, everyone at the table does. We've encountered this policy at every place that offers both options. They also charge extra if you leave too much un-eaten food to avoid waste which we totally support. No doggie bags for AYCE. We don't go there often enough but it's always a treat when we do. Only thing we would like to see is more options on the boil, it's all the same for crabs, shrimp, ramen, sausage, etc. and maybe to offer just plain steamed crab legs. The seasoning in the boil is very nice though, you won't get tired of it. There are fried options also, but we only go for the boils. Highly recommend them. read more

This time the all you can eat dinner was about $52.99 when it use to be about $50. which isn't much of a difference. It was 4 of us and we choose the lobster tail, the snow crab legs, green mussels, black mussels and headless shrimp. The snow crab legs were so good, also enjoyed the black mussels and the lobster tail. You are only to order one lobster tail per person that's the only item that is limited. For sides we did the sweet potato fries, the fried chicken wing, regular fries and crab Rangoon. I love the sweet potato fries, the fried chicken wings are good. Everything else was just okay. We also got the catfish they do only bring you a little piece so make sure you ask for more when you are asking for it. You can also have sides like ramen, white rice, potatoes, and sausage. We were going to get the blue crabs also but they told us they were out of season. I came here recently with friends and had my heart on the ayce. Lunch special 19.99..its so limited.. mostly deep fried seafood.. you have your mains and sides to choose from. I was like I wanted sno crab legs but because I had lunch prior, I was still full. Our waitress was Christy, although she was very pleasant and nice, oftentimes she would disappear. My crab legs were decent, however, I wasnt feeling the sauce or whatever my crab legs were swimming in. .green mussels were good... The clams were a joke. Tiny! I was expecting cherrystone or little necks. So yeah, that was a disappointment. I don't recommend the ACYE also you're on a time limit, 90 minutes. They time you on that tablet. I don't recommend either ayce if your not starving. Also they implement a waste fee and a 18% gratuity if you get acye. They are better than Hook n Reel. We could not eat any of the shrimp at the bottom of the bag without worrying about having our blood pressure spike with the salt intake. Staff attitude. Restaurant not busy. Went with a couple friends. We were held strictly to the 2 hrs time limit. Staff seemed bothered when we asked for more food, napkins or refill on drinks. We opted for the $39.99 since we don't care for oysters. Everyone at the table has to participate in the same AYCE option as well as the flavor and spice level for each round since everything is served on one big platter. There isn't a better AYCE seafood deal in MoCo. I was skeptical with how the quality could be after seeing the words All You Can Eat thrown around social media. The seafood was good and seasoned well. The service was good, the waitress was running around on a busy Saturday night but was very efficient. The restaurant is spacious and clean.
