Harvest pasta was so flavorful, you can add proteins if you want

Found this quaint place, once a church, restaurant. We had reservations about going because the limited reviews on it. The flavor of the food we received was amazing! the waitress was so sweet and real. What a gem ! We ll be back asap. You can call ahead for certain meals such as lobster and tomahawk steaks. All of it fresh ! Enjoy!

Great food, exceptional service. A bit loud. Definitely the best restaurant we've been to in Rock Hall.

Everything tasted great for the most part. Service was great as well. The outdoor buffet cookout was $20 tickets were purchased on eventbrite. They also had holiday drink specials at $2.49 which was a good deal. They also sold smoked oysters at $1.00 each & the server and bartender was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed this event. We would like to go back and check out the other drinks on the menu as well as the food. Definitely bookmarked this spot for a return visit. There is a parking garage about three blocks away. We paid $12.00 for about three hours. Not bad at all.

All housed in the historic Capital Hotel, newly renovated in November of 2022. The atmosphere here is immaculate. It is a must see when enjoying the sights of Annapolis. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon after touring the State House. We each ordered the Monkey Smoke (Penicillin), and she ordered a small plate with avocado and lump crabmeat, which we ordered just in time as the kitchen closed between 3 and 4. The standout of the day for me was the old fashioned, made with plum bitters. One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. The servers were all very friendly and quick. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town, and definitely recommend this to others.

The Retriever Oyster House in Chestertown left us with a mixed impression, one that deserves a fair…read moreand constructive take. We had just come from a college football game and, on the fly, decided to grab dinner here based on the recommendation of the one local in our group. There were seven of us, and most went for the double smash burgers with fries, which were excellent. Kim, our server, was outstanding, prompt, accurate, and attentive throughout the evening. The bartender also added to the positive side of the experience, making sure everything at the table ran smoothly. The issue came at the door. We had tried to call ahead to let them know we were on the way, not realizing that OpenTable was their preferred system. When we arrived, the host made this clear, but in a way that was unnecessarily sharp and cold. It set the wrong tone for the night. In a town where friendliness is the norm, the contrast was striking. The experience began under a haze that was difficult to shake, even though the food and drinks were excellent once we sat down. To be constructive, this is less about policy and more about hospitality. A host sets the tone, and a welcoming explanation could have changed everything. Something as simple as, "We usually use OpenTable to handle groups this size, but I'm glad you're here, let's get you taken care of," would have gone a long way. Instead of frustration, it could have created a positive first impression and likely earned a loyal group of returning guests for years to come. Inside, the atmosphere was lively, with locals enjoying themselves in a loud and fun environment. Our group of longtime friends who have been convening in Chestertown for two decades fit right in once we were seated. However, the bad first impression lingered, and as a result we only had one round with food before deciding to leave a lot earlier than our normal rhythm for an evening out. We ended up taking our bar bill to another venue. Great food and excellent table service carried the night, but the host made sure we will not be returning as part of our annual tradition. This is a restaurant with strong potential, and it could go from good to exceptional with just a little more attention to how guests are greeted.

We also tried the shrimp & grits, which arrived beautifully plated. We couldn't resist splitting the apple strudel for dessert, topped with locally made ice cream from Stams. Special shoutout to our server Kassie, who went above and beyond with her hospitality and gave us some great tips for things to do around Chestertown. The bar area has a great atmosphere too. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Brampton to try more.

I made the trek with some buddies the day before the 2025 home opener, and it did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted by a young man who directed us downstairs, and said "Irv will be down in a minute, make yourselves at home." We descended into the basement of this unassuming waterfront house, and there he was. 101 year old Irv, emerging from the shadows like an old wizard from your favorite sci-fi movie, almost like Yoda. He politely and softly asked us what we wanted, and proceeded to serve us the best round of Natty Bohs I may have had in my life. This bar isn't like your neighbor's basement bar - it's a full bar with a pool table, full service rest rooms, a functional jukebox, and a lot of the charm you'd find in your favorite dive bar. The only thing you won't find at your favorite bar is Irv. At 101, he's sharp as a tack. Funny, with a lifetime of stories. Sign his wall, by a t shirt or shot glass, admire the bras hanging from the ceiling, and soak in what could be a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you, Irv.
