Not sure if this truck has been here before but this is the first time I've seen it In our neighborhood. Actually wasn't planning on having empanadas for dinner today originally but felt that I'd have to try it based on all those good reviews. We got the 2 empanada set with fries - beef and honey BBQ pork - both were flavorful, although the more savory tasting beef ones mixed with cabbage, egg and olives were the winners. These are deep fried empanadas and the dough is light and flaky, much better than the ones I had from some of the other trucks. The very generous amount of fries sprinkled with salted herbs were also tasty as well as the two kinds of sauces, the pepper aioli was definitely worth ordering extras for. The alfajors looked enticing too - will have to try those next time.

We tried some empanadas from one of their food trucks that was parked at The Farm Brewery. We tried 3 flavors: honey BBQ, spicy pork, and chicken and pineapple. Honey BBQ was definitely the best and most flavorful. The chicken and pineapple was quite bland unfortunately, especially compared to the honey BBQ. The empanadas were fried well and very crispy. The fries were lightly seasoned and came with chimichurri and Mayo dipping sauces. For 3 empanadas and a side of fries, we paid $16.50+ tax. Although the food was good, it definitely felt a little pricey for what we got (perhaps the fact that it was from a food truck). The price for this on their website is advertised 13.50. The food was tasty but not filling.

Absolutely scrumptious empenadas-the spicy beef, and BBQ pork were my favorites. I might have eaten six at one sitting. Yes-they are that good! And Tyler and Gabriella are the nicest and coolest couple. Go try it- you will not regret it. Delicioso! Bon appetit Post update -went again tonight and had two spicy beef and the orange chicken(new) empanadas and the chim fries. Nothing like crispy fresh empanadas and hot fries. Best meal I've had in a while- and that's saying a lot since I'm quite picky and a foodie. Only regret- not getting more lol. Follow them on Instagram and FB to see when they are in your neighborhood.

Honey Pork, Traditional Beef, Pineapple Chicken w Citrus Slaw

Solid empanadas but nothing special. I tried the honey pork bbq (thought it was way too sweet), the traditional beef (too much sauce going on inside), and the pineapple chicken (didn't taste the pineapple flavor at all). I went because the food truck was right outside of the office but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. My favorite thing on their menu is probably the churros. They make them fresh to order and they're very good. OH-mazingness: 7/10 OH-ffordability: 8/10 (~$11) Follow me @ohmaneats on Instagram!

Recently got to try the namesake empanadas at the Fairfax city Fall festival and I'm so glad we did. We ordered 3, 2 traditional beef and 1 spicy beef, and the chimi"churri" fries are incredible. The empanadas were crispy, packed with filling and flavor, and delicious. Would definitely get again.

We were blessed to have Empanadas de Mendoza come to our community for Food Truck night! I praised Baby Jesus that we did not have to cook another boring dinner tonight and hiked our way thru snow and ice to get some warm, delicious, crunchy empanadas. We got a dozen and a few churros (because HELLO churros!!!). The beef empanadas were quite tasty and the white mayonnaise type sauce was delicious. Then I opened my mouth to eat the spicy beef empanadas AND HOLY HOTNESS! The gates of hell opened up and rained down on my taste buds and scorched my throat - ok I'm being a drama queen. Yes, they were spicy, they aren't holding back. When they say spicy, they mean it so think long and hard if you can handle some heat before you order them. But they were delicious too. Then came the sweet sweet sugary goodness that are churros. What a perfect crunch, followed by a soft pillowy dough. I am so happy that I got to try their food from the food truck and look forward to trying different dishes next time!

Handmade empanada - no lies. Amazingly crunchy and delicious. The sauce is filled with herbs. Order traditional and spicy beef. Yum

Great empanadas! They made them fresh to order, and I only waited five minutes for my order to be ready. I tried the traditional beef (my favorite), bbq pork, pineapple chicken, and three cheese. All of them were piping hot and crispy on the outside. The empanadas also came with an aioli and a chimichurri sauce. Also tried the churros which were delicious.

The empanadas are phenomenal! The pineapple chicken is now an absolute favorite! (comes with an amazing sauce on the side!) The fries are also so good! They come seasoned with an chimichurri sauce (they also have plain fries) ABSOLUTE MUST TRY!! Absolutely craving these empanadas RN .

This was an incredibly mediocre choripan and empanada truck for what it costs. My main gripe was them charging an extra fifty cents for chimi on their chimi fries. I kid you not, it was less than a tsp of chimi sparingly spread on them, not enough for either aesthetics or flavor. I couldn't tell you if the chimi was even any good because I couldn't taste it. Also, mucho gross that their sauce was dishes out of an empty talenti jar. You can upcycle at home but don't use your own trash when you serve the public. The steak sandwich was no bueno either - it looks good when you get it but when you bite down you realize there's five tiny hunks of beef dabbed across a bun with cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce and it only looks impressive because their roll is hooge and it's being served in an open faced fashion. I essentially paid 16 dollars for a roll and unseasoned fries. if you've ever been to Argentina and you actually eat latin food from Latin establishments run and patronized by Latinos, this sandwich was a bummer. I think el pollo Sabroso in dc sucks and their torta Mexicana blows this out of the water. Begone, food truck.

BBQ pork is the best! The chimi fries are very good. This is a simple truck with a quality product.

Finally building management sent out a message saying the truck would be here at 5:15 p.m. When food trucks come here, we are given a link where we can order our food in advance and it will be ready at the time you want. We never partook of this option because we knew things could go wrong. Today, especially, we were really glad! Once the truck arrived, the man who worked there, came out to apologize saying he had to replace some equipment which caused them to be late. Also, although he didn't mention it, I think he probably got caught in rush hour traffic as they are Woodbridge based. He then told me they would be ready to take orders in 20 minutes. So...we waited as did a young woman who had placed an advance order only to be told it was cancelled. Thus, she had to place her order again and at least she made sure she wasn't charged twice for her food. We ordered 2 brisket sandwiches. These sandwiches are topped with cole slaw. That's something we didn't want as we think it can interfere with the brisket flavoring. We asked if they could put it on the side and they said "yes". We also ordered one side of mac & cheese plus one side of beans. All of this came to $50---yikes! The sandwiches came out in those to-go containers which are basically thin cardboard vessels with no covers (see my photo). The beans and the mac & cheese were very small portions and were put into small food containers with no lids. We're glad we brought some plastic bags to bring the food upstairs! Having to do so was no fun at all. As for the food --- The sandwiches were small with not much brisket in them. There was a side of bbq sauce which we used. The sauce was on the tangy side. While the brisket was moist, there wasn't much flavor. It would have benefitted greatly if a rub was used. The cole slaw was decent---no complaints there. The mac & cheese was luke warm but it was the way we like mac & cheese which is simply made---no fancy cheeses or any other additions. We just wish it was hotter. The beans were similar to Boston Baked beans but without the undercurrent of sweetness found in the Boston ones. They were okay---nothing to write home about. Yelp is prodding me to mention "ambiance". Well...it's a food truck that's nicely decorated. If they came back to our building, we don't plan to order again, in large part due to the pricing. Each little side we got cost $8 each!

I was sad to see that they don't offer 'housemade' pastries anymore, as I remember seeing in their past photos; their menu for their offerings was clearly updated. In addition, the drinks that we ordered were just not good at all: +the Toasted Marshmallow Latte - prepared with 2 shots of espresso, choice of milk, and a housemade toasted marshmallow syrup; this tasted like watered down coffee with no 'toasted marshmallow' taste; coffee could have been prepared strong, and we did ask for 'extra hot', but received it regular temperature +Witch's Potion - an apple cider with chai, topped with a dash of cinnamon; probably one of the worst ciders we've had - wasn't really sure the mixture with the chai, but this just seemed like it was an improperly steeped tea that did not have any flavor The staff were friendly, and there seemed to be local patrons who come here on a regular basis. The blue mobile truck is very cute, and they had some seating available with nice fall decor. Our concern is that something may come up and we'll miss getting the food we paid for. Well... We went when they opened for business. There was only one person working in the truck. He took our order and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Meanwhile, some people who did order online came to pick up their food...no problem. We ordered 1 Island burger which, according to the menu, had cheese, a pineapple slice and pineapple mango blaze sauce. For the side dish, I chose plantains. Also, we got 1 Classic American cheeseburger which the menu said came with your choice of toppings. My husband chose fries for his side. We got upstairs and noticed that instead of plantains, fries were given. Sigh... I went back downstairs and told the man that he didn't give me my plantains. He corrected that mistake and apologized. As for the food --- For me, the plantains were the best item. Even though a few were overcooked, they still retained their softness in the middle and the sweet taste that comes from sauteeing them. The Island burger underdelivered when it came to ingredients. There was no pineapple slice. The pineapple-mango blaze merely consisted of some small diced piece of mango. Plus, there was some shredded lettuce and red onions. The Classic American cheeseburger ended up with lettuce and onions on it. The fries were okay. Both of us agreed that the burger patties were overcooked and dried out. So...a decent enough meal but nothing to write home about it. This truck attracted more attention than others that came to our building. With only one person working on the truck, I can imagine he got overwhelmed as the evening progressed. While we don't regret ordering from them, we will give it a pass should they return to our building

I ordered the Papas Rellenas (picadillo-stuffed potato fritters), which were really big, dense, and satisfying for $5. I also got the bandeja paisa (with kidney beans, steak, fried egg, pork belly, etc.), knowing it would take about 20 minutes on a Monday at 10:45 a.m. That wait felt outrageous, though--only about 10 people were in a space that could easily hold 100. However, the pork belly and steak wasn't overcooked and very flavorful. Even the sausage bursted with flavor. The food was authentic and tasty, but the long wait is a dealbreaker for me unless I'm with a friend craving Latin food and have time to spare. I placed an online order for pickup, was charged in full, and was never notified of any issue. I drove almost an hour to pick up the order, only to be told upon arrival that my order was not ready and would not be fulfilled at all. This order was for an event I was attending, so I was left scrambling at the last minute while staff showed no acknowledgment or accountability for their mistake. I was never contacted, never proactively refunded, and had extreme difficulty reaching anyone. Phone calls went unanswered repeatedly. As a last resort, I commented on one of their Instagram posts and my comment was deleted. I posted again and still received no response. It wasn't until over a month later that someone finally shared an alternate phone number for a staff member. When the refund was finally processed, it was only partial about 65% of the total charge. I am still having to follow up to recover the remaining balance. To make matters worse, I was blocked from their Instagram page. At this point, this is no longer about the money. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. I am a reasonable person and understand that the food industry is complex but businesses do not have the right to charge customers, fail to deliver, avoid communication, and then silence them. This experience was not only disappointing, it was disrespectful. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places offering Colombian food in the area, which leaves customers with little choice. A quick look at reviews across platforms shows that customer service issues are a consistent pattern. I had previous less-than-great experiences ordering here, but this was the tipping point. This business seriously needs education and improvement in customer service. Customers deserve transparency, communication, and respect.
