Picked up some Empanadas De Mendoza yesterday and we dove into them today! They held up beautifully and were delicious reheated, I can only imagine what they would have been like fresh. I will absolutely be seeking this amazing food truck out so I can find out. We had Cheese, Traditional Beef, Spicy Beef and Honey BBQ Pork. They were all great but the Spicy Beef was my favorite (oh and yes they are Spicy ). Chimichurri and Cream Sauce were delicious! We also got Bourbon Apple Cranberry dessert empanada too which was also yummy! Her dough is so light and fluffy on all of her empanadas. Wait time wasn't bad and everything was cooked to order. Her truck was adorable and clean. If you get a chance to be where she is definitely grab some of her Empanadas!

Their empanadas are devine and I can't wait to come back for more! Each empanada was fried to perfection and had the perfect amount of crispiness. My favorite was the honey bbq pork - the empanada was packed with tender, succulent pulled pork in a sweet bbq sauce. I'm obsessed! The chimi fries were crispy and tasty, but the salad was pretty plain. I didn't enjoy the dessert empanada, bourbon apple, that much - the apple pieces had skins on them that made the texture too chewy. We also got alfajores but the cookies were too dry and chalky. Their service was just okay - it was kind of slow as it took awhile for our orders to come out after ordering on the kiosk. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend their exceptional empanadas!

What a great spot to grab a bite! I was visiting the mall and stopped by here because of the good reviews. I chose to go with the 2 empanadas with a side salad. The empanadas are on the smaller side but they are packed with flavor. I enjoyed them both equally. The side salad was great. The vegetables were nice and crisp and I enjoyed the vinaigrette it came with. The ordering process was seamless. There's a kiosk on which you place your order and the employees get to work frying up the empanadas. It didn't take long at all for my order to be ready and the customer service was good. The sauces that the entrees come with are amazing. My favorite was the aioli. I'd drive back to the galleria just to eat here again!

The empanadas are delicious. The crust is flaky. The service was good. The atmosphere is expected as it's in the mall.

We did a pick up order. As for service, the food was ready on time and we had no issues with picking up. The order was neatly packaged, The empanadas were huge and super tasty! Very juicy and well seasoned. The had indoor and outdoor seating,

Crispy gigantic empanadas and love to support this family owned business! One couple runs the food truck, while the sister-in-law with her husband run the Galleria location. So glad I skipped the swarming line for the empanada food truck at the Vienna food festival, and headed straight over to the Galleria at the Urbanspace food court to try out the empanadas! The 2 empanada with side is a great deal! The empanadas are quite large and filling. While I wish the Cheese Empanada would be more stuffed with cheese, the Spinach and Ricotta Empanada was more flavorful. The empanadas were a bit bland. There's a creamy corn Humita empanada that I'm curious to try - next time! Would love to see more vegetarian options on the menu like a hearty roasted veggie or mushroom with caramelized onions. The Chimi Fries were really well seasoned and the creamy garlic aioli sauce had a spicy kick! Excited to back for more empanadas!

I love empanadas, I really do, but these empanadas were a (2.5 Star) mixed bag for me. We got 4 Empanadas: -Traditional Beef - It had egg and an olive in it. -Spicy Beef - Was def spicy, didn't see any egg thankfully (I actually enjoy egg but would like to be warned its in there) -Honey BBQ Pork - The BBQ meat was on the sweeter side. It wasn't bad, but just didn't feel right having bbq-style meat in an empanada. -Humita- I love food. I always finish my food, but this? No. It was mushy corn, onions, I saw something green, had a sweet taste, just no, sorry. I get that empanadas are generally made in advance and these were, and deep fried, but it just tasted all wrong (too much oily pastry and fillings were mushy). The ladies were nice, but seemed too busy doing other things. For the price we paid, it did not feel worth it, unfortunately.

Located in the upper levels of Tyson's Galleria! Fairly quiet and had plenty of seating and sunlight ! Service is really easy as they have a pretty set and simple menu. You order through the kiosk and the order came out within minutes! The Citrus Vinaigrette Salad was a bit too sour for my taste but loved the fresh greens and veggies! Def needed it for eating it with fried foods. I tried 3 different empanada options: the Pineapple chicken was yummy bc I love pineapples and the sweetness from the food went well with the chicken flavoring. The traditional beef is a total recommend! Absolutely juicy and bursting with flavor. I also tried the humita - which was filled with corn and cheese - loved it!! Sweet corn and cheesy cheese! Overall, would recommend 8/10 to try their empanadas! The sizes are pretty big and fair on pricing!

The food truck was by our place so we decided to give them a try even though we were a bit hesitant at seeing only 3 empanadas being $16.95. However, when we tasted the empanadas they were delicious and worth the price. The empanadas clearly tasted far more fresh and flavorful than any other cheap empanadas from the many food trucks we have tried previously which tasted reheated. We tried the spicy beef, bbq pork, and pineapple chicken. Spicy beef was my favorite but the spiciness packs a punch. The sauces and fries were all very good as well. Dipped fries in the chimi sauce and empanadas in the other. Highly recommend stopping by if their food truck is ever in your neighborhood!

I had 6 empanadas for takeout and was able to try a variety of flavors - traditional, spicy beef, humita (sweet corn and basil), pineapple chicken, cheese, and honey bbq pork. Firstly, the spicy beef was actually spicy! I was somehow expecting something similar to the Jamaican beef patty from 7-Eleven (haha!) but it was much more spicy! I had the hiccups and runny nose while eating it. Sadly, I couldn't finish it. My toddler loved the cheese! The honey bbq pork and traditional were also very good. But my favorite was the humita. There's something so tasty about sweet corn and the basil was very light. Welcome to Urbanspace! So excited for all the existing and new vendors at this amazing food hall!

Cute little place in the food court of Tyson's Galleria (urban space). I got the 3 empanadas with a side salad! The ordering process was quick with the virtual kiosk and easy to use. I loved the wide variety of options. I ended up going with spicy beef, spinach ricotta, and honey bbq pork. All three were great, but the honey bbq pork was my favorite! It tasted just like slow roasted pulled pork. These empanadas were crispy and heavily stuffed. I was full after two, but forced myself to eat the third. It's nice that they give you two free sauces. The citrus vinaigrette they use on their salad is homemade. It's a zesty light dressing which was a nice balance with the fried/baked empanadas. Will definitely be back again soon to grab some to go!

Before I make this review, I was never the biggest Fan of empanadas until I discovered this place. I originally stopped by to get a slice of Andy's pizza but my spontaneous self decided to stop by and give this place a try. I ordered the 2 empanada combo I believe and got the two most popular ones (beef and spicy beef). Empanadas were fried to order, but FAIR WARNING wait for these to cool down cause ya girl burned her entire mouth taking a bite out of one of these. Spicy beef is actually spicy so another warning on that too, but wow the pastry was so flaky, buttery, & most importantly, not TOO dense. I love how they add the chimichurri sauce on the side, it definitely cuts the strong savory flavor of the filling. Overall, I'm definitely coming back to this place bc y'all sparked a newfound appreciation for empanadas

Wow, talk about a punch of flavor. Empanadas de Mendoza hit the mark. I ordered the three empanadas and 1 side for $15.50. Not a bad deal in my book considering the portion was huge. I selected the spicy beef, honey bbq pork, and three cheese. The beef and pork were exploding with flavor and extremely well seasoned and packed with tender meat. The three cheese empanadas was good but lacked the dense full bite the other two had. The salad was really fresh and I felt the perfect combination with the crispy empanadas. I would get some extra sauce on the side it was really good but could use a bit more to dip in the empanadas. The wait wasn't too bad but it did take about 12-15 minutes if you're in a rush just be aware. Definitely a great place for empanadas I would recommend trying these kinds and others !

The place is really just carry-out, they have fresh made, hot pastys to go, which they can sell, as well as frozen pastys to bring home. They also have a large selection of snacks directly from England. Service was helpful, the guy working the counter was descriptive and helped me with how the various pastys were made. Also, when walking in the amazing smells of all the workers in the back making food smelled incredible! I opted for some of nearly all their offerings of pastys. A couple of days later I made the chicken masala for lunch. I used their directions for baking, not the microwaving to get it ready to eat. They were spot on and the pasty came our perfectly warmed up and ready to eat. The crust was outstanding! None of it was dry or tastless, the whole thing was flaky, perfect, buttery, and tasty! The filling was very nice, though it had no flavors that resembled Indian or "masala" to me, so I'm not sure what they consider masala, but that's not a bad thing as the filling tasted great! I'm looking forward to making and eating all the rest, I'm sure they'll be great too!

The market is smaller with only 1 vendor, Hog Haven, with made-to-order food, the other vendors only have prepared foods. Sadly, there are no dogs allowed! I've seen both Women Republicans for Trump and Harris supportive groups here. While there are a couple of vendors that sell fresh produce and a few other vendors selling Chinese food and specialty food, I've listed my favorite vendors below. Family of Nuts (5/5) - Long-time vendor and delicious nuts with over a dozen different types (raw and toasted with different seasoning)! The Parmesan Truffle Almonds, Candied Cashews, and Everything Bagel are my favorites. Panoteca Bakery (5/5) - Scrumptious fluffy croissants! Get it early before all of the croissants are sold out before 10am! The plain and the chocolate croissants were tasty, and still haven't nabbed an Almond Croissant yet! Baked by Drakeford (5/5) - Love pumpkin crumble cake, so moist and perfect for the fall! The woman is so nice with her 4 year old daughter! At one of the markets, she donated all of the proceeds to family members of Hurricane Helene and Milton. While she has a couple of baked goods at each markets, she swaps them out seasonally with cake pops, lemon cupcakes, and apple cupcakes. Excited to come back to try more! House of Empanadas (5/5) - The Empacheese empanada tastes like a cheese pizza! It's soo good and bursting with flavor! The Spinach and feta cheese empanada is light, tasty, and healthy! The Veggie empanada is flavorful and fun to try. I definitely preorder these in advance on Wed mornings (deadline is Wed noon for McLean Farmer's Market pick-up). Only a few select flavors are available at the market and sell out fast by 11am! I'm not a big fan of the mushroom empanada, it has a bold spicy mushroom flavor without any cheese. If you love mushrooms, go for it! I also didn't enjoy the Corn Bread, it was really dense. House of Empanadas is one of my favorite venders and keeps me coming back! Grace's Pastries (4/5) - The scrumptious raspberry scones are delicious! I wasn't a big fan of the stale spinach foccacia flatbread, the bottom was rock hard and the bread was quite dense. I'm sure if it was made fresh that day, it would have been nice and fluffy and scrumptious! The woman running the stall was super friendly. Would be back for the scone and try other baked goodies! Excited to come back for more nuts, croissants, and pastries!
