Some of the best burgers, juicy on the inside and crispy on the inside. I love the choice of the potato buns! The fries cooked in duck fat was a new experience for me and I could smell it right away. The fries were cooked to perfection. I will definitley be ordering again when in Tyson's Corner. Note: it did take awhile for our food to come out despite not being so busy.

Double Original Char'd and Duck Fat Fries

Wanted a late night bite and wanted to try this smash burger place lots of people rave about. I thought the burger was decent - patties were thin and had a nice char/flavor to them. My only critique would be the bread it was a lot of bread compared to filling and I typically prefer a potato bun. However, the owner did reach out and let me know they had changed their bread recipe since I went. I went back and tried it and it was much better! It's nice to see owners actively taking in feedback. I also got the duck fat fries the second time around and they were amazing!

In search of smash burgers I reach Char'd in the uncharted waters of Tyson's Galleria and here are my thoughts. This is the second time I am visiting Char'd. This time around I went there after playing ult frisbee. I ordered the lettuce wrap 2 smashed patties burger because I was feeling healthy with 69 others. The burger was delicious, the sauce was delicious, the patties melted in my mouth and all in all this filled my soul with love and joy. Char'd is located in a busy food court. However, that doesn't stop their staff from doing an amazing job. The atmosphere of this place is open and huge. Haven't tried their duck fries this time but they are amazing. 4.4/5 Try them!

Idk if it was just me, but I had the burger earlier today and it was a bit disappointing. The bun was dry and hard, where the last time it was soft and fresh. The duck fat fries also didn't taste as rich as before -- something just felt a little off, though I can't quite pinpoint what. I hope this can be taken as constructive feedback to help maintain the quality.

I've heard good things about Char'd, so I finally decided to try it for lunch. The Tysons location is inside Tysons Galleria on Level 3. You place your order on a tablet, then wait for a text and number call, quick and easy. I ordered the original char'd w/extra pickles. The burger itself is a good size, the patties are on the thinner side (smash burger). It was juicy and fresh off the grill, however it could've used a bit more seasoning. For what they charge, my expectations were high. The food came out hot and fresh, which I appreciated. The fries were thick-cut, crispy, and good. Overall, everything tasted good... just not price worthy for me.

We've been to this mall many times and usually always grab a slice or two from Andy's, but recently when we visited we decided to try a burger from this place. Ordering is interesting, it's completely done via kiosk, as there's no one working a "front counter" to order from. Our food was promptly made, came out piping hot & fresh too. But the kiosk asks for a tip at the end - COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!! No one gets a "tip" for doing their job!!!! If the owner of this place wants his staff to get paid more, they need to pay them more, it's not my job to do that! Especially when it costs nearly $50 for two simple meals of two burgers, two fries, and two drinks - nothing more!! So, they might be way over-priced, but they definitely make an amazing burger! Their spicy dip, which seems to be a jalapeño or serrano pureed and added to a sour cream type sauce - was amazing and spicy too!! Their burgers had the perfect smashed burger texture and taste... Slightly crisp on the outside, but soft and tender inside - excellent! The buns were great, so were the toppings. Their duck fat fries were also nice & crispy and pretty tasty as well. Overall - we REALLY ENJOYED the food! But the price is easily 25% too high and then to ask for a tip when there's no interaction with emlpoyees aside from getting our meal is simply ridiculous and part of what's wrong with society and "tipping culture" these days. Would I return? Not at these prices - I'll continue to hit Andy's across the way, it's outstanding, has people you interact with and consistently outstanding pizza.

Yummmm!!! Finally got to check Char'd out. They were always a food truck and weren't in my area during convenient times. I'm so glad they opened a spot in Galleria and now I can go whenever. I will say sometimes they don't allow online ordering during specific time windows which is kind of annoying. But also pick up is better because by the time your uber eats driver delivers, the burgers are cold and that's whack. Anyways, the burgers are really good!! I love me a tasty smash burger. And their mambo wings are amazing!!! I see they do specials sometimes for fries and wings. They keep it interesting and exciting. This is my go to spot when I want a burger in the Tyson's area.

I stopped by Char'd for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Service was quick and there were plenty of seating available with options to sit in a cozy booth. The organic chicken tenders was extremely juicy and melted in my mouth like no other chicken has ever done. The thin flakey breading was light and crispy. Their signature sauce was delish and went well with the tenders. This is a must try!

I got the hot Chard burger and fries. Everything was delish, but too carby for me. Not enough protein.

We stopped by Char'd while shopping in Galleria and really glad we did. The burgers are halal here so my wife was really excited to try it. I ordered the double original Char'd and she got the double hot Char'd. The size of the burgers were decent but the double patty is almost needed in my opinion to have a full meal. This place advertises using duck fat a lot so I was expecting a flavor profile I've never had before. Unfortunately, the burger just tasted like a normal burger but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. For the money though, I was expecting something more unique. That said, it is Tyson's Galleria where everything is priced higher. The hot Char'd is actually better in my opinion as they layer the patties with a jalapeño spread. I don't want to use the word sauce because it is a thicker texture. Lastly, we got the honey sriracha wings which I believe fell flat and the reason I did not give this place a 5 star review. They were neither spicy, nor had a unique lime/citrus taste. They actually tasted like your ordinary bar wing served with a side of ranch. Would I eat here again? Yes, but for a burger and fries over $20 I wouldn't do it often.

The patty is so dry it looks like it has been glued to the bun overnight. Can't eat it.

Worst burger I ever have. Everything is so dry, the bun is dry, the patty is dry and no flavor.

It is new halal burger place started as a food truck turned into a stall in Tyson's Galleria in its fancy 3rd floor food court. 1. Self service: you wait and order on the machine. 2. Tip is optional since you don't get table service just like McDonald's. 3. Burger: good, the sauce reminds me of Big Mac sauce. It is nothing that special though. The Fries however, is amazing and their original sauce is unique and I can't recall anything similar. Highly recommend. 4. There's no dedicated table for their customers so you just have to find a seat and it is hard. However, it is Galleria, very beautiful interior, so it is a joy to eat there. I would still recommend this. I live very close, so I see myself coming here for fast bite.

Char'd is absolutely one of my favorite spots for burgers and fries! Once I find a great burger spot, I become a repeater of the same order (why mess up a good thing, right?). Char'd is located in Tyson's Galleria AND they have a mobile food truck that is located across town in several locations throughout the week. They post their food truck scheduled locations via IG, so it's super easy to track. I've been able to try both, the location and food truck, and I will say the location is my favorite because it's guaranteed to be super hot. When I ordered off the truck, it was surely delivered hot, it was just me driving to my location before eating that failed me :-) The burgers are super fresh and although there are options, it is not overwhelming. In-person, ordering is simply completed via the touch screen and the wait time was not long at all. During some evenings and weekends, the line at the Galleria can be long (so get there early). From the truck, I was able to order and pay online. They will text you and let you know your order was received as well as when your order is ready to be picked up. At both locations, the staff was super nice and made each visit a breeze. P.S. I did not mean to leave out the fries...they were hot and fresh and you receive more than enough to go with your burger.

I followed their recommendation and tried the Doner Wrap and the Börek, and both were fantastic! The portions were very generous, and the Doner was unlike any other I've tried -- full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, juicy, and with an amazing authentic sauce that really stood out. The Börek was also excellent -- so tasty and flaky that I ended up saving some for breakfast the next morning! I'll definitely be back. Enh...I suck at rhymes. On to the food! The Dude was parked near my office and I just had to pay him a visit on this bright sunny Tuesday. I jumped into my sleek high end vehicle (a banged up 1999 old car) and raced as fast as I could to the Dude's location....as fast as you can go without having the wheels of a poo poo ride pop off. Less than five minutes after leaving my office, I spotted the Dude's truck. The truck was huuuuuuuuge and had the same cheerful surfing chef logo that is on his website. On the recommendation of a friend, I embarked on this trip to: 1) Check out Doug's food and the highly recommended steak fajita egg rolls. 2) Snatch up the first to review (FTR) for this business. Wa-hoo! After scanning the lunch menu, all thoughts of a steak fajita egg roll left my mind as the Parmesan crusted Salmon wrap caught my eye. Oh decisions, decisions. What to do? Well I did what any self respecting fat boy would do; I ordered both. Here are my thoughts: - Parmesan Crusted Salmon Wrap ($8): Holy crap this was good! The Parmesan crust wasn't that powdered Kraft Parmesan you get at the local grocery store. No my friends, the Parmesan was the real deal. Each bite of the Salmon had that tasty melted Parmesan flavor which was enhanced by the fresh (Romain?) lettuce, raw onion slices and a delicious chipotle sauce. Everything was held together by a flour tortilla which helped me expedite the process of shoving my face full of tasty Salmon goodness. 5 stars for this refreshing wrap. - Fajita Steak Egg Rolls ($9): The fajita steak egg rolls (which are baked, not fried) were served on top of a generous serving of white (cabana) rice mixed with small pieces of red bell pepper. The rice itself had a mild 'n tasty spicing that was a perfect "blank" canvas/bed for a more flavorful entree. The egg rolls themselves were okay, and a bit disappointing compared to the Parmesan Crusted Salmon Wrap. The egg rolls appeared to be big, but had a thick flaky too doughy exterior leaving little room for the filling. The actual filling of steak fajita meat was deliciously spiced and well flavored. The entire dish came with a very very good pico-de-gallo like salsa which added flavor to the rice and complimented the steak flavor quite well. 3 stars for this dish. While I waited for my meal, I talked to the Dude (Doug Maheu) who was a very personable and nice gentleman dressed in a bright red Hawaiian like shirt. I could tell he was proud of his food truck and happily talked about what separates his food from the other food trucks. He was such a nice guy, you can't help but wish him and food truck the best of luck and a very long & prosperous career. Based on today's meal, I am definitely going to make a return visit to the Dude's truck as I had my eye on the Chipotle Chicken wrap. Oh yes, that wrap will be MINE! :-) The most important thing you need to know about Doug the Food Dude which separates him from other food trucks: The Dude accepts both Visa and Mastercard!! Oh yeah, you can also follow him on twitter @ dougthefooddude (http://twitter.com/dougthefooddude) to see where he'll be parked that day. Boo-ya! Way to go Dude!! :-)
