We've been on a smash burger tour around Northern Virginia and Char'd came recommended by some friends. This place is busy and the online order took quite a while (30-40 minutes), but the food came out hot and didn't disappoint. We got both burgers, which were very excellent although the "hot" one didn't really have much kick at all. The pickled jalapeños were mild and the jalapeño aioli was tasty but not spicy. Overall quality of the burgers was good, but they got soaking wet because of the way they package them sideways, where all the juices and sauces were seeping to one side/the bottom of the tray. The fries were honestly the star of the show. Thicker-cut, salted well, hot and fresh, and we got all the different sauces to try with them. The only thing that could've made it a 10/10 would be some Zatar seasoning or something like some middle eastern-owned places will do. We also tried the buffalo old bay wings which were good, but pricey at $2.50/wing. Nice to have the option to just get 4 wings as an extra little thing to try, though. Char'd is great! We had the char'd cheeseburger and it was delicious. It was on the drier side, but well-seasoned and tasty. I liked their fries, as well. Their char'd sauce was a little basic and tasted like spicy mayo, but was still great. The food came out in a reasonable time, and ordering on the kiosk was easy. Char'd eats is a new food truck that started recently. They serve one of the best smash burgers I have ever tasted. It's recommended that you try it fresh off the grill. I recently found out about this through my friend and am happy I found it! They advertise their location through instagram similarly to other food trucks in the NOVA area. I recommend trying the hot char'd burger. They offer it in a single or double. The difference maker is the special Char'd jalapeno sauce. It reminds me of a big mac sauce with a kick. I probably wouldn't go back to Char'd based on the quality of my burger given the price. I ordered just the Double Original Char'd burger which was $16.95 before tip. For a burger a little bit on the higher side (fries not included mind you) I thought that the bun was flimsy and that there was an overly unbalanced amount of onions included. It was fine but nothing absolutely spectacular. I had some of my friend's fries which were crispy, salty, and tasty however I will be definitely opting for a different option the next time I visit the Galleria. read more

I have been eating Char'd burgers off their trucks for the past year. I saw a video of one of those smash burgers and I thought "that looks like the best cook on a Smashburger I've I've ever seen". When I went to the truck, I discovered it was. When I started eating them I was blown away. I have had a myriad of smash burgers, but none can compare to Char'd. It is stunningly delicious in its simplicity. I've had my first trip to their place in Tysons Galleria, and the quality is the same. This is one of the best Smashburger you can eat and definitely in my top five burgers of all time. I do the original burger it's fantastic, but I prefer the hot burger. Maybe extra jalapeños. Their house made To sauces are phenomenal. Now that they have a brick and mortar. I'll just go by cups of the sauce to have on hand. Fantastic french fries as well. Everything is fresh. It's made to order worth the extra few minutes. You have to wait. The Services is also fantastic. Everybody I met associated with the truck on their social media. The owner Khalil Is just a good guy man. He's the kind of guy you want to win. He's genuine, he's nice, and loves his customers and loves what he does. To be honest, that may be one of the first thing I noticed the first time After I chased him down on my motorcycle all the way to Centerville from Reston after I saw that video. The smash burgers are pretty good, and I really enjoyed the special sauce that you can get on the side. The fries were hot and plentiful, kind of between a thin fry and a steak fry. The portions are large and fries could certainly be shared between two or three people if you're not super hungry. I was kind of following their food truck instagram for very long and was excited to know that they are now opened as a self service restaurant at Tyson's galleria mall. Parking in the galleria is no issue and the restaurant located in the food court on level 3. I was there last weekend and a weekend prior back to back. Since it's a self service, there are two kiosks where there were two long lines but it was moving in a good pace. Ordering wasn't a problem either since the menu is quite straightforward and short. First time I ordered hot chard single patty and fries; and on second visit I got double hot chard, cola drink and an order of fries. Price wise yes it is towards pricier side. I paid $28 for a double patty burger, fries and a cola drink. One thing to note that on my first visit we waited literally 30 minutes for the food to come out and there were no notifications on our phone rather they were calling the numbers from the counter. Second visit was however better as once our food was ready that took 10 minutes this time, we got the text message, I hope this stays this way. Taste wise burger was pretty good, the hot chard sauce made it quite flavorful. My friends also tried their lemon pepper wings and they said those were tasty as well. Speaking of ambiance it was just so kool, there are plenty of seating areas and you can definitely find a place to sit and enjoy your meal. Overall good experience and I do recommend them. read more

I had char'd for the first time yesterday at the ladies board rummage sale. This has been a food truck I've been wanting to try for the longest time and I'm happy to say they did not disappoint. I was greeted kindly by Rameen, and after I placed my order(two original burgers and fries) the food came out quick and we enjoyed it in the car while it was still hot.
