I only came here to try the Mambo wings and it did not disappoint! The only thing is that it is HELLA expensive for just 5 pieces of wings... Service was attentive but expect to wait a bit long for your food. This is located in Tysons II mall food court and there is a lot of seating. The pricing only keeps me from coming again, but if you haven't tried this spot yet, it's worth a try!

Some of the best burgers, juicy on the inside and crispy on the inside. I love the choice of the potato buns! The fries cooked in duck fat was a new experience for me and I could smell it right away. The fries were cooked to perfection. I will definitley be ordering again when in Tyson's Corner. Note: it did take awhile for our food to come out despite not being so busy.

Wanted a late night bite and wanted to try this smash burger place lots of people rave about. I thought the burger was decent - patties were thin and had a nice char/flavor to them. My only critique would be the bread it was a lot of bread compared to filling and I typically prefer a potato bun. However, the owner did reach out and let me know they had changed their bread recipe since I went. I went back and tried it and it was much better! It's nice to see owners actively taking in feedback. I also got the duck fat fries the second time around and they were amazing!

In search of smash burgers I reach Char'd in the uncharted waters of Tyson's Galleria and here are my thoughts. This is the second time I am visiting Char'd. This time around I went there after playing ult frisbee. I ordered the lettuce wrap 2 smashed patties burger because I was feeling healthy with 69 others. The burger was delicious, the sauce was delicious, the patties melted in my mouth and all in all this filled my soul with love and joy. Char'd is located in a busy food court. However, that doesn't stop their staff from doing an amazing job. The atmosphere of this place is open and huge. Haven't tried their duck fries this time but they are amazing. 4.4/5 Try them!

I've heard good things about Char'd, so I finally decided to try it for lunch. The Tysons location is inside Tysons Galleria on Level 3. You place your order on a tablet, then wait for a text and number call, quick and easy. I ordered the original char'd w/extra pickles. The burger itself is a good size, the patties are on the thinner side (smash burger). It was juicy and fresh off the grill, however it could've used a bit more seasoning. For what they charge, my expectations were high. The food came out hot and fresh, which I appreciated. The fries were thick-cut, crispy, and good. Overall, everything tasted good... just not price worthy for me.

Yummmm!!! Finally got to check Char'd out. They were always a food truck and weren't in my area during convenient times. I'm so glad they opened a spot in Galleria and now I can go whenever. I will say sometimes they don't allow online ordering during specific time windows which is kind of annoying. But also pick up is better because by the time your uber eats driver delivers, the burgers are cold and that's whack. Anyways, the burgers are really good!! I love me a tasty smash burger. And their mambo wings are amazing!!! I see they do specials sometimes for fries and wings. They keep it interesting and exciting. This is my go to spot when I want a burger in the Tyson's area.

Idk if it was just me, but I had the burger earlier today and it was a bit disappointing. The bun was dry and hard, where the last time it was soft and fresh. The duck fat fries also didn't taste as rich as before -- something just felt a little off, though I can't quite pinpoint what. We've been to this mall many times and usually always grab a slice or two from Andy's, but recently when we visited we decided to try a burger from this place. Ordering is interesting, it's completely done via kiosk, as there's no one working a "front counter" to order from. Our food was promptly made, came out piping hot & fresh too. But the kiosk asks for a tip at the end - COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!! No one gets a "tip" for doing their job!!!! If the owner of this place wants his staff to get paid more, they need to pay them more, it's not my job to do that! Especially when it costs nearly $50 for two simple meals of two burgers, two fries, and two drinks - nothing more!! So, they might be way over-priced, but they definitely make an amazing burger! Their spicy dip, which seems to be a jalapeño or serrano pureed and added to a sour cream type sauce - was amazing and spicy too!! Their burgers had the perfect smashed burger texture and taste... Slightly crisp on the outside, but soft and tender inside - excellent! The buns were great, so were the toppings. Their duck fat fries were also nice & crispy and pretty tasty as well. Overall - we REALLY ENJOYED the food! But the price is easily 25% too high and then to ask for a tip when there's no interaction with emlpoyees aside from getting our meal is simply ridiculous and part of what's wrong with society and "tipping culture" these days. Would I return? Not at these prices - I'll continue to hit Andy's across the way, it's outstanding, has people you interact with and consistently outstanding pizza.

We stopped by Char'd while shopping in Galleria and really glad we did. The burgers are halal here so my wife was really excited to try it. I ordered the double original Char'd and she got the double hot Char'd. The size of the burgers were decent but the double patty is almost needed in my opinion to have a full meal. This place advertises using duck fat a lot so I was expecting a flavor profile I've never had before. Unfortunately, the burger just tasted like a normal burger but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. For the money though, I was expecting something more unique. That said, it is Tyson's Galleria where everything is priced higher. The hot Char'd is actually better in my opinion as they layer the patties with a jalapeño spread. I don't want to use the word sauce because it is a thicker texture. Lastly, we got the honey sriracha wings which I believe fell flat and the reason I did not give this place a 5 star review. They were neither spicy, nor had a unique lime/citrus taste. They actually tasted like your ordinary bar wing served with a side of ranch. Would I eat here again? Yes, but for a burger and fries over $20 I wouldn't do it often.

I stopped by Char'd for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Service was quick and there were plenty of seating available with options to sit in a cozy booth. The organic chicken tenders was extremely juicy and melted in my mouth like no other chicken has ever done. The thin flakey breading was light and crispy. Their signature sauce was delish and went well with the tenders. This is a must try!

The patty is so dry it looks like it has been glued to the bun overnight. Can't eat it.

Finally was able to make it here after following their Instagram for a while. I liked that the burgers were freshly cooked with fresh meat. But the prices left a lot to be desired. By the time it was said and done, we had two meals, no drinks and we were pushing $50-60 with a tip. I think that's a bit extreme for a food truck and for a burger and fries so that's the primary reason. This is not a five star review. The burger was fine, but it was nothing particularly special in my opinion. read more

Hands down the best halal smash burgers I've ever had! Perfectly charred edges, juicy in the middle, and the seasoning is spot on. The buns are toasted and buttery, the toppings are fresh and every bite has that irresistible good feeling that makes want me to take my time with the burger. The fries are on point, the duck fat leaves nice crisp no matter the time and the salt level is on god tier. Friendly service and fast turnaround make it even better on weekdays. Plus the ambiance gives it genuine burger spot never ashamed to dip my fry in my shake. This place is a must in the DMV!!! read more

The slowest service of any food place I have ever been to - they spend more time laughing and taking their time than actually focusing on serving the customers they are huddled waiting for their orders. Over priced for crappy service and they don't even serve in ticket order - if you complain enough miraculously your order moves up in the line. I will never be back. Ever. read more

Got a double Char'd burger, fries, and a water for $27. The ingredients were quality, as you could taste the freshness. The taste was 7/10, though a little bland. The wait times were long (15mins with no one else in line) so I can't imagine what it is like during peak times. The wait times coupled with the price for a slightly above average burger will probably keep me from going back, but if you are interested the mood for a decent smash burger, especially if you want a halaal one, give them a shot. read more

Food took way too long on a Saturday night at 7p to show up at Tyson's Galleria. Requested a refund. Manager tried to argue that it had only been 15m when I have a text showing it had been almost 25m and there was still 7 other orders in front of me. Not sure this place will survive if they can't handle the weekend rush. At the very least they need a screen with current wait times, especially if it's going to take 30 minutes for two burgers and fries. read more

Good burger, extremely slow service! I have been to the Char'd trucks and burger was decent, overpriced, and usually cold. Usually at festivals, due to the crowds, I am not expecting a hot or top notch burger so it doesn't bother me. I went to Char'd in Tyson's tonight after hearing all the hype, and service was a let down. I chose to go on around 6 pm on a Sunday night, it was not crowded. I expected to get my order pretty fast. I placed my order at the kiosk and waited for my order, which were two hot char'd burgers, and two regular burgers. We got an order of wings and drinks. As time progressed, I glanced over to see what the employees were doing in the kitchen, and two were having a side conversation and goofing around. The other two, very casually, were chatting while making an order. One guy was aimlessness wandering the kitchen. Unfortunately the staff lacked a sense of urgency in fulfilling orders and seems like they did not have it down between them on who is making the orders and how to fulfill orders efficiently. If they increase speed of fulfilling orders, customers will automatically get hot food. I have some experience in business and unfortunately it just looked like the employees did not have a clear picture of what their roles and responsibilities are, cut the joking around unless there are no customers and pay attention to customer service. As a business owner, I would definitely pay attention! There were 5 ( or more) employees on a Sunday night and slow service? Nope! Need better management. Burger tastes great. Price is a little high but expected in this area. Service. No way, unacceptable! read more

The best, non-chain smash burgers in the DMV area. Everything from the quality of the meat, how it is cooked, to the bun and combination of toppings adds up to make this perfect burger. The fries are outstanding. You must get the jalapeño sauce on the side to dip the fries into. The sauce has just enough heat, vibrant jalapeño flavor, and creaminess to round it out. Me and my family were really excited to try this place as it's been really popular. The 20 minute wait was bad considering this places has been open for 2 weeks. When we got our food the fries were halfway filled. And, since I paid $6 for a side of fries I was expecting the fries to be filled to the top. The burger was ok I would say. Nothing fancy or crazy. I believe shake shack could do better. Comparing $8 for a shake shack burger and 14$ for a chard burger I would chose the shake shake burger over this chard burger. Ordered the double patty OG Char'd burger which was $15.99. With fries, a soda, and a side of sauce for the fries the total came out to almost $30 which is absurd. Burger patty lacked seasoning, the buns were ok, but the pickles were good. Fries were a bit on the soggy side. The soda there was barely colder than room temp and was not very good. Overall 6.5/10 not considering the price but with price factored in 5/10. read more

The best burger you will find in North VA. I am grateful to live near this food truck because every time we go it's just so so good. I love a good burger and Char'd makes the best ones I have ever had in the DMV. Like none of the fancy stuff I'm talking a good classic burger. This is the place to go. The Char's crew is some of the most friendly and humble people out there. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone. I'm already looking forward to the next time I go. read more

My mom enjoyed her shrimp and grits (said the grits was a bit spicy for her taste and my brother said it was one of the softest waffles he's ever had. Looks like we found a new place to stick into our weekend brunch rotation!

The thin bread falls apart too easily and combined with the pizza-commercial-like cheese pull after each bite with cheese hanging from my mouth to the sandwich, it was functionally very MESSY and difficult to sandwich to eat. I don't like eating sandwiches with a fork. And dont get me started with $10 small sized milkshake. It was an absolutely average milkshake. With a thin straw easily clogged. These prices are INSANE!!! I knew the prices were high going in, but I thought the quality and portions would match. There is a significant disparity between them, and I should be getting twice the amount of sandwich for these prices. Lastly the whole flow is very weird. The interactive website-menu is a disaster and confusing. It took over 10 minutes online just trying to find the menu before I arrived thinking I'd order at front counter and instead was told to take a seat. This really doesnt call for a waitress, an unnecessary markup (tips) to an already insanely expensive meal. Its like pseudo restaurant but its really just a deli sandwich shop. EDIT to owners reply: For a deli sandwich to be piping hot is unnecessary and its not a good thing. It suggests poorly trained cooks. It was a warning for other customers so they don't burn their tongue like I did on a freaking deli sandwich. Instead of leaning into the free customer feedback, they chose to brag about their flaws. So the problems are admitted features, not flaws, and further supports my evaluation. "Tiny portions relative to price." Does that make it more clear? While owner glosses over the huge portion sizes in photos on website/menu that are false advertising, and photos were only reason I thought the high prices might be justified before coming here. I only saw the actual (tiny) portion size when my food was delivered that I realized menu photos online had deceived me and the prices were insane for that reason. $21+ for a 1/4 lb half deli sandwich!?!? Insane! And centimeter-thick bread slices are also considered tiny portions. Nobody disputed weight of meat. Strawman. And it wasnt obvious the weight of meat on the already mentioned difficult to read website. Nobody's reading the fine print on a menu!! If it wasn't clear for me its likely unclear for others. should not have a cheese pull that requires utensils on a sandwich. Should not need utensils to eat a sandwich. Deli sandwiches shouldn't burn your mouth. And nobody disputed your sandwiches weren't "cooked fresh". Strawman.
