What an amazing burger! Everything was fresh. The fries and onion rings were crispy. The juices weren't too sweet. I would definitely come again. The small fry was plentiful. The clerk that took our order was so kind and patient.
What can I say that hasn't been said? Social Burger is a local gem in Vienna serving up great burgers and giving back to the community. Wife and I arrived after lunch, so no lunch rush, or line. Counter woman was knowledgeable, patient and pleasant. Burger arrived relatively quickly ~10 minutes. Buns were grilled on the flat top. I picked my toppings and the patties seemed to be hand ground/formed and were the right amount of meat for the bun. I liked the fries, although they didn't have much salt on them. I would definitely come back or recommend Social Burger to others!
The fries were excellent; crispy, well seasoned, and served in a generous proportion. My friend loved her turkey burger--in this case a Thanksgiving themed special--and said that the patty was very flavorful. I had the social burger. It comes with two patties, and I was imagining a five guys or shake shack style patty. These patties were significantly thicker than those. And had WAAAY too little salt. They were basically a flavor black hole in the center of the burger. But the pickles were excellent, the bacon was better than it needed to be (a thicker cut, cooked to perfection), and the sauce was flavorful. All together, the other toppings overcame the fact that the patties had no flavor. They had four or five tables; only one other table was taken at the time and the felt fairly sleepy, but we were also there at 11:00 or so, so we were early for lunch.
Food is fine. But the app DEFAULTS to a 20% tip just to pick up food! This is insane. I worked my whole teens and 20's in a similar job, and I made exactly $0 in tips, because we didn't ask for tips for food pickup. Ask for a tip, fine, but to default to a 20% surcharge is just bad form. Even though they are right down the street, I will never go there again. Not only that, they have a 10% service fee (for a pickup order, not delivery), that is not indicated anywhere where you order! Sneaky stuff like that is just not cool.
Tasty burger place in Vienna. I ate inside and they have a few tables but it's not huge inside so it seemed to be a mix of eating there and to go orders. They have a choice of several interesting burgers or you can build your own which is what I did. The burgers are large and perfectly cooked with lots of fresh toppings. You can't go wrong with pickles, lettuce, onions, mustard and the sauteeed mushrooms are worth the extra cost. They were flirting with disaster when they gave me the wrong cheese but it was cheddar rather than the Swiss I ordered so it was alright. The regular fries are thin and crispy fries served hot and fresh, there's plenty of fries for two to share. The shakes sounded good but I was too full to try this trip. I enjoyed my burger here and will be back, maybe I'll be able to try a shake next time. Just check your burger carefully to make sure it's correct.
A good burger is always so satisfying, especially on a cold day. We were very happy with the burgers and the service at Social Burger. Although it was cold outside, they managed to keep the little quick served spot pretty toasty inside. So, once a new customer came in and the door swung shut, it warmed up pretty quickly. On this visit, we tried the social burger which was really big and had super crispy jalapenos. We also liked the regular cheeseburger and the baby bella burger which was a nice combination with the balsamic vinegar. On the side, we tried both the waffle sweet potato fries and the regular fries. Both were good and it would be hard to choose if we could only get one next time. One of us had a cake shake which was very good while the rest of us opted for water seeing the size of the burgers and knowing that we would need room to finish them. The staff was very friendly and there is parking although the lot isn't huge. Be careful of ice on the sidewalks during the winter. When we were there, it probably could have been cleared a little better and we had to step carefully.

Kind of had a hole in the wall feel, but in a good way. The kitchen is viewable from the front so you can see what the cooks are doing in the back while they're erecting your incredible burger. On the menu you can literally choose anything you want to make the burger any creation you want. They have chicken as well, but because I got the burger this time it's what I want to focus on. I was greeted with a nice welcoming hello as I walked in. The lady at the register asked if I knew what I want and when I said no she gave me the time and space to make my decisions without rushing me. Now maybe that would have been a different story had it been the lunch hour rush, but I was there prior to that. I got the Nickster (Double Patty) with bacon, American cheese, provolone, and lettuce with an order of hand cut fries. The burger was cooked to perfection as were the fries. This place has been my go to burger place for years! It's a nice casual burger place and the staff is nice. Their sweet potato fries are pretty crispy and taste good with their red thai curry mayo! I just tried their February special, carne asada burger and it was delicious!
This burger place is top on my list! They never fail to impress my belly. Food is phenomenal and the creativity that goes in it is one of a kind. Every month they offer a special and each one has been uniquely thought out. Owner and staff are so kind, always giving the best service. It's a small space but it gives an inviting and very community friendly vibe. On top of that their homemade pickles are the best pickles I've ever had! Definitely a place to check out!
The service was prompt with a smile. One of the employees was taking a photo of one of the restaurant's burgers when we entered the establishment and I asked if it was okay if I could take a picture of the burger too, and they said, "Yes." So I'll be posting that as well. This is a very petite restaurant with only a few tables available. It's nice in here and the restroom is in the rear. I have to rave about the Strawberry Watermelon punch! It is delightful, refreshing, and delicious. All in all I highly recommend this establishment. All in all, highly recommended. 5 Stars.
Came here on a weekday lunch break. I was simply just looking for a good burger spot around the area and landed here. I love finding a good burger where its a step above fast food burgers. It's a pretty small shop (or complex) so its not necessarily a place to dine-in. The interior has about 4 tables (two two-seaters and two-four seaters) with barstool seating along the window and on the right side. Service was friendly, but really just a brief interaction delivering my order. I ordered the Social Burger which was about $13. Fries were an additional $4 for a total of about $18.50. The price doesn't sound ideal but 1) burgers aren't cheap anymore and 2) I felt like it was a good amount of value for the price. The Social Burger has two patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, the social burger house sauce, and fried jalapeños. You could spend way less if you build your own burger. The burger itself was excellent, however, I didn't really taste the fried jalapeños. The hand cut fries were crispy and paired well with the many sauces they had. I got to try the house-made ranch and cherry cola bbq sauce and both were delicious. Many others worth trying for sure. Other observations I had were: - Accessible parking - The menu has many other options besides burgers - Banana pudding milkshake sounds intriguing but for $8 made me think twice Overall, a great experience. A good burger, good fries, and great sauces. I don't bother to compare to Five Guys or other burger places in the area like Shake Shack or Big Buns. Just a solid burger worth trying if you're in the area.

We're always on the hunt for a go-to burger spot, and this might just be our favorite in NoVA so far. The burgers are consistently solid, and the sauces complements them well. The Red Thai Curry Mayo is especially a stand out. If you like fries with your burger, you got to have the sweet potato fries . The milkshakes were flavors ranges from more normal ones to more "fun" ones, like ube, oreo, banana pudding, salted caramel pretzel. read more

I tried Social Burger in Vienna and overall, I really enjoyed it. The burger itself was flavorful, the meat was seasoned perfectly, and all the toppings worked well together. I even added bacon, which I don't usually go for, and it was a nice treat. My only real complaint was the bun. I think the burger would have been even better with a brioche bun or potato roll. The fries also arrived a little soggy from the steam in the takeout bag, so next time I'd probably dine in to enjoy them fresh and crispy. I'd definitely go back. Solid burger, great flavor, and worth another visit. 4 out of 5 stars. read more

We just happened upon this place and it was amazing! Great little burger joint. Quiet and chill with friendly staff. Terrific menu too. My husband and I shared a steak and cheese burger. Huge and delicious. We also got sweet potato fries and honestly they were the best I've had! Crispy and so dang good! Plus they had fun drink options and my hubby got a local beer. Not to mention this place is clearly community focused and gives back. So glad we found this awesome spot on our way out of DC! read more

Came here on Father's Day, all meself as it was more convenient at the time. Sufficient parking in the lot outside. Restaurant is located within a small complex. I don't remember the burger I had, but seems like it was single-patty and came with lettuce, tomato, onions -- the whole works. I also ordered fries on the side and a Strawberry Shake, purely on a whim. Seating is scarce, and at least some of the seating was in direct sunlight. There is both bar seating (bit uncomfortable) and table-style seating for two or four, a bit more convenient. I chose table seating with four chairs, and that might have earned me some side-looks, but I didn't really mind. The seating was carefully chosen in a calculated effort to avoid getting a full-body tan under the full swing of the mid-day sun. Burger was excellent, but nothing spectacular. Shake hit the spot on a warm sunny day and slaked the thirst. I dined inside and chose a spot in the shaded interior. Picked up ketchup in those small cups, and napkins in the serving table. Food was good and filling, and hit the spot. All in all, would recommend swinging by, and will likely be back myself. read more
We hadn't been to Social Burger in several years. The burgers here were historically always good and still are. Quality patties of substance along with well paired toppings including their own fried jalapenos which were a delicious touch. The staff is friendly but man does the restaurant need to turn on their AC. It was 12:45 so the height of lunch and it felt like there was no AC on- everyone in the restaurant was fanning themselves because it was so hot/stuffy. read more
The burgers here are great. They're made to order and offer a good amount of toppings, sauces, etc. The signature "social burger" is huge but delicious. I've never had fried jalapeños on a burger before and I loved that touch. They carry Puck's soda which is really good. The service was fast and the restaurant was not too busy. read more

I've had it with Five Guys's outrageous prices and decided to finally give a local burger spot a try. I guess I got lucky, because Social Burger was the first place I tried, and I was blown away. My burger and fries I received were surprisingly similar to Five Guys (fresh burger and hand cut fries), but I found my burger here to be bigger, the food was better, the toppings were better, burger was better assembled, bun was better, and somehow it was CHEAPER than my beloved Five Guys. I'll now be taking my business here as this local spot had better food, bigger burgers, and very fair prices. Fries were outstanding too, I prefer the thinner cut here over the thicker cut at five guys, and they really did taste better here in my opinion. I'll be happy to support a great local business along the way - I wish I'd found them earlier because the food really is great and the prices are fair. read more

Yum! Hubs loves burgers and so here we are. Indoor seating is available. The cashier was friendly, helpful, and patient. Our order was ready in no time and neatly wrapped. They have a lovely menu with a variety of options. Tried The Social Burger, Matthew, Hand-Cut Fries, Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, and a Banana Pudding Milkshake. Everything was on point. B enjoyed The Social Burger which comes with a double patty, double cheese, bacon, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, social sauce, house-made pickles, and fried jalapeños. The Matthew (single patty cheeseburger) was simply delicious. Their fries are well made. I really enjoyed their Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. It tasted like it was coated in a light tempura batter, absolutely delicious and addicting! Their Banana Pudding Milkshake had a lovely natural banana flavor and wasn't overly sweet. It's made with quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. We are fans, indeed. read more

I love social burger!! It's a really great family owned business and in my opinion the best burger in the DMV. It's sooooo juicy and good and you can choose one of their burgers or make your own. So many premium topping options like egg, bacon jam, and pork belly, and fried jalepenos. If you get fries absolutely get the sweet potato fries. My husband who doesn't even like sweet potatoes adores these. They are sooooo crispy and wonderful. The service is great and I always find a seat to eat at. I really like their juices as well. I love coming when they have new interesting specials! This weeks (or months?) special is a pulled pork burger and pulled pork tater tots :) read more

The best fast casual and oh so healthy and yummy spot! LOVE supporting a diverse owned small business! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed. The burger was so flavorful and satisfying, the fries and onion rings were so yummy (sweet potato are my absolute fav) and the sauce they give you is like a party in your mouth. I opted to mix things up and get the banana pudding shake which did not disappoint. 10/10 experience from the food, service, and ambience. Highly recommend and will be back again soon. read more
