Great music, amazing burgers, and generous portions! The small fry alone could easily feed three people. Plus, the meat is Halal, which is a big bonus. Customer service was top-tier--everyone was extremely friendly. Our food came out fresh in under five minutes. Highly recommend if you're looking for that classic Five Guys flavor, but with even better quality. *** The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, which is great, but the pavement out front is a bit worn and uneven, so it's not the smoothest for wheelchairs or strollers. Also, during our visit, it looked like the floor near the restroom had just been mopped. I ended up slipping on my way to the door--luckily I didn't fall, but it could definitely be a safety concern, especially for someone with limited mobility or balance. Double cheeseburger was huge, included two juicy slices of tomato and mushrooms in the standard toppings among other things. Well-rounded burger and came with a yummy orange sauce that actually enhanced the experience. Blueberry cheesecake milkshake was very decent, creamy and icy if you like that type of texture. Some of the frozen blueberries were unblended, not my preference. Onion rings were nice and crispy but too salty for me. Small and clean interior. The food tasted delicious, but i am not sure if it is a double cheeseburger since it was only one patty. This place is tucked right in between the 7-11 and the Shell Gas Station, and it's so worth going to! My boyfriend and I stopped by here while hangry, since I've heard really good reviews about this place. I believe it just recently opened up, so I was excited to check it out. The inside is super clean and the staff are sooooo nice! This place gives a mix of Cook Out and Five Guys vibes. Plenty of shake options, as well as food. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger loaded with the 1/2 onion rings 1/2 fries, and my boyfriend ordered the double bacon cheeseburger loaded with a strawberry milkshake. These burgers are HEFTY. The lettuce and tomatoes in here were crisp and fresh. The burger itself was a good ratio and my boyfriend INHALED the burger. The fries and onion rings were divine, the sauce is similar to a Big Mac sauce. The onion rings are battered with the perfect amount of spices and with an excellent crunch that doesn't slide off the onion. The fries are seasoned to be not too salty, and pair great with the dipping sauce. There's plenty for leftovers too! The milkshake was THICCCCCCCCC. I'm lactose intolerant but I decided to risk it all for this beautiful milkshake. It was so creamy and tasted like fresh strawberries, which is already a plus in my book. I risked it all for that milkshake, because it is real dairy and I cleansed my colon after I got home from that milkshake. So happy they added this Z Burger nearby. We had it at another location once before and really enjoyed it. The burgers are comparable to a Five Guys but way less greasy. The bun stays together and I don't feel tired afterwards. The half onion rings half fries is a great go-to and it's a hefty amount that can be shared among at least two people. Onion rings are perfectly fried, good ratio of batter and onion. The shakes were also very good. I had the banana Oreo and will definitely try more out of the 75 flavors they have. The service was good, the woman who took and prepared my order was very nice. Called ahead my order and it took about 15mins. There are a few tables inside, but the parking lot/area is a little hectic. read more

We went there to grab burgers, fries and a shake. The shake was good and the fries were burnt. I got their spicy chicken sandwich and it was super bland and they found the biggest chicken tenders they could and stacked them on top of each other. My husband got a cheeseburger and it was nothing special. We got our order to go and everything was packed on its side so the burger and sandwich got soggy because they put too much of the condiments on the sandwich. I asked for their z sauce on my sandwich and they put it between every layer of the lettuce, tomatoes and patties. Honestly do yourself a favor and drive another ten minutes to bug buns or five guys to get a decent burger or just go to their McLean location. The Vienna one is awful. I feel like the employees are spiteful that people are coming to that location so they try to make every order as bad as they can. read more

The cheeseburgers are very similar to five guys here, with the cheese cooked or melted into the beef patty, and wrapped in foil like five guys. I had z burger nearly 10 years ago, as well as recently and I remember it used to be even more like five guys. The taste of the bun seems different now, and the bun is the main thing giving it a different flavor than five guys. They also use their special "Z sauce" an orange colored sauce which could be a mix of ketchup mustard mayo or something. I am wondering if they just use some flavoring syrups or something for their ice cream shakes. I got a blackberry cobbler shake and there were no chunks of blackberries or chunks of cobbler in the shake. There was no dark purple color found anywhere in the shake either. It was just a creamy white colored shake with some parts being light caramel in color. I could taste a hint of some berry flavor, but no chunks of berries or cobbler. It was still a decent shake- I was just expecting to get some chunks of real blackberry cobbler. read more

I've been hesitant to give them a try due to their prices, but I was very happy with the quality food and large portions I received. You get what you pay for here. The fries, onion rings, and burger were all fantastic, and I even had enough food for leftovers. After giving them a try, i felt the food was worth it for the price. To start off, a disclaimer. My friend and I went at 11:30 pm, a half hour before close. We each ordered a milkshake and a small fry. It took about 20 minutes for our food/drinks to be made and I am not exaggerating when I say that they were the worst milkshakes we've ever had. My friend got the tiramisu flavor and said it tasted nasty. I got a cookie dough milkshake and it's hard to describe how bad it was. It kinda tasted burnt. I have no idea how a milkshake tasted burnt, but it did. Neither my friend nor I could drink more than a bit of our shakes before trashing them. The "seasoned" fries were super bland. They didn't even taste like they had salt. They were hot, and freshly fried, but not especially crispy. Overall, I would not recommend Z Burger. Maybe they were just having a bad night, but it was such a waste of time and money, I won't risk returning. 2/10 read more

Before I submit a review let me say I was a bit hesitant checking this place out. I'm still a little disgusted about Pizza Hut leaving this location. However, after I ordered the cheesesteak and fries all is forgiven. As everyone knows from reading my reviews my allegiance for a steak sandwich will always be at The Broiler. This place came in at a close second. Portions are huge food is amazing. Such a shame because their subs are so good I felt like I was cheating on The Broiler..lol. I read online that Z Burger had a new location in Vienna. Prior to going, I went on good ole Yelp to read the reviews. While most were pretty good, the one that caught my eye was a reviewer who is a Broiler fan (cheesesteak) like me and gave a pretty favorable review of their cheesesteak. So I had to go. It's located in the former Pizza Hut next to the 7-11 on 123. The place was very clean, staff was exceptionally nice and very accommodating. Ordered my cheesesteak (no lettuce or tomato please--just steak, cheese, onions and grilled jalapenos--yup, grilled). I couldn't make up my mind between the cheesesteak or cheeseburger so I had that, too, and some fries. Service was swift, put the bag in the back seat and traveled home. The bag smelled so good and if I had that bag in the front seat next to me, I definitely would have busted into that bag--no question. Got home and began to sample. Cheesesteak is very flavorful, bread really good, too. Just about like the Broiler. I decided these people are going to save me gas money in not having to trek all the way to Arlington for a decent cheesesteak. :) The double cheeseburger was also very juicy and tasty. Because I ordered it with grilled onions and jalapenos (no lettuce and tomato please) the flavor of the meat, cheese and peppers and onions shined. Fries were excellent with the right amount of salt. I didn't get the seasoned fries, but the regular were salted just right. And there were plenty of surprise fries at the bottom of the bag, too--nice! Not sure yet what the reheat will be like (it's really a good amount of food), but I expect it will fare well in the oven wrapped in foil. All in all very good experience: really good food, really nice staff, and really clean place. Yup, I will be back again soon--with a couple of extra bucks from the gas I'm gonna save. :) read more

Burgers and toppings were a generous size, and the fry portion was HUGE. We got a regular and that was too much for two of us. The taste of the burger was decent, similar to Five Guys. Fries was too greasy, I had to bypass the tips feature because $6 tip to pickup a pair of burgers and a fries is too much, and then discovered a mystery fee "service & packaging", twice as much as Vienna meal tax, on the receipt. Great burgers at ZBurger in Vienna - fresh, juicy, and well seasoned. Generous toppings, although the tomatoes were a bit underripe and hard. The combination of onion rings with z-sauce was fantastic - the batter was light and crispy, and the zing from the sauce really compliments the flavor of the onion. The fries were just ok - a bit soggy and underseasoned. I was disappointed with the milkshakes, lots of syrup rather than natural ingredients, but to each their own. With 2 hamburgers, 1 single cheeseburger with bacon, 1 double cheeseburger, 3 shakes, and a half and half order of onion rings and fries the total came out to $78. I don't know that I'll ever be ready to pay that much for burgers - but that's our reality as it's comparable to social burger and 5 guys. I think the burgers and onion rings are good enough for us to return - plus the service is super friendly. read more

Best onion rings ever! Located in a rather decrepit area next to a gas station (replaced the Pizza Hut that used to be there), you may not even notice there's anything next to the 7-11. But the food is pretty good, despite the unassuming exterior. Employees are super kind and polite. The burgers / fries are reminiscent of Five Guys, down to the pointless paper cup inside your fry bag. I haven't tried their milkshakes (they have 75 (?) flavors) but I've tried their fries, onion rings, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. The patty is a bit bland (they offer a bowl option), but their onion rings have a tempura style batter that's amazing. Pass on their chicken sandwiches -- it was unremarkable for the price. Speaking of price, this place is pretty expensive (like Five Guys) - burgers are all over $10. read more

Food is fresh, fast, and tasty! Over 75 milkshake flavors and they're all so yummy. They have veggie options, the legendary burger tastes AMAZING. The majority of the toppings are free but there are some that cost money. 10/10 would recommend! They are also open super late on weekends :) read more

I found this place to be strange. Employees (owners?) were very friendly, and the food was fine, but the menu was weird to me. I like a fountain Coke with greasy food, and the menu online, as well as the menu hanging in the store, said COKE, but behind me was the Pepsi machine. The menu offered floats, but they said they didn't offer floats, yet they have ice cream and root beer (Mug, not A&W like their menu claims, but still). I ordered a malt but am pretty sure there was no malt in my shake (I didn't go back up and ask, so I can only tell you what I didn't taste). Fried onions are offered as a sandwich topping, but turns out they are actually grilled/sauteed, so that was a bummer. As far as taste, everything was fine (minus I don't love sauteed onions on a sandwich). The fries are yummy; reminiscent of Boardwalk. The onion rings weren't my favorite -- similar to onion strings (and maybe what should have been on my sandwich)-- but I could see someone finding them yummy.
