Let me start by saying that I've never actually bought Five guys for myself before as I thought their food looked very greasy. Of course with everything going on now I did not feel like cooking so I was looking for some place to order at. Five Guys popped up on my Postmates and I was actually craving a burger so it worked out. My order came within the allotted time frame, it was a good temperature and man it was good. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon I believe and I had attached pics to this but the burger was nicely cooked, they fit all my topping on there and it's actually a pretty decent size. I have brace so hence I cut it in two just to make it easier for me to eat but I was not disappointed. It was juicy and yummy and had good flavor. read more

It's a decent spot, yet I'm glad to have discovered, that a few Fuddruckers are left in northern Virginia. From humble beginnings, Five Guys has branched out to a lot of locations. I feel it's lost a little something, from their spot back in the day in Arlington. With inflation increased, they are charging too much. The charm of the fries and greasy brown bag, just don't really have me craving them. Employees are extremely nice and efficient. Also this is a clean restaurant. Tables are relatively comfortable. My guess is most go in for carry out. If you're expecting zen time, it's too noisy for that, due to the foot traffic. I'll go here occasionally, but am pretty much done with the desire once had for this franchise. read more

I like to think of myself as a Five Guys connoisseur - I've been to the first when it was the only one and have been a fan for years. I think I've visited at least 20 Five Guys across numerous states and locales. However, I could never understand why this branch was always empty, so I decided to try it out. My mistake. When I entered this five guys, there was literally only two other customers. The ordering process was uneventful except the cashier didn't seem enthusiastic about the food. I ordered about 50$ worth of burgers and fries for me and my friends. While waiting, I took some peanuts. (Not unusual from what I've seen in any Five guys I've been to). The order took less time than I thought, so instead of throwing away the peanuts, I asked jokingly if I could take the leftover peanuts with me (I already besmirched them, and it would be wasteful in my book to just throw them away). To my surprise, the young man behind the counter told me "no, peanuts are for dine in customers only." Like I totally just stole from them.... Then I noticed this is the only five guys I've seen without peanuts on the floor... Sorry Five Guys, if you are going to skimp on me taking 7 leftover peanuts, count me out as a customer. I feel that recently Five guys franchises don't have high quality control and that they are resting on their laurels. This experience really left a bad taste on my mouth. I took a bite of my burger (which, by the way was'nt up to par with other five guys in the area) gave away the rest to my friend. Also, my order was totally messed up, some burgers had the right toppings, and some did'nt. Even though all the toppings should have been exactly the same. I don't think I'll ever be back to a five guys because of something as small as peanuts. What a shame. read more

After all these years, Fives Guys still rocks. I very rarely eat beef, but I couldn't resist the Five Guys cravings any longer. To be honest, I went for the AMAZING peanut-oil fries (a "regular" order serves two people), but the burger knocked my socks off. I hadn't been to Five Guys since probably my days of frequenting the one in Blacksburg during grad school at VT. I had forgotten just how good these cheeseburgers are. If you're an amateur, know this -- "little cheeseburger" means single, "cheeseburger" means a double. What do I love so much? This beef doesn't taste heavy or frozen. The toppings are free, and there's a long, long list. They use FRESH jalapeños. I usually go with those, hot sauce, onions and lettuce. It's the bomb. The only downside is the night after I had Five Guys, I had "beef dreams." I had strange nightmares all night long and woke up several times. read more

We've enjoyed eating at Five Guys over the years. We frequented the original restaurants in the DC area before they franchised and went national. The hamburgers were always good and juicy. You can customize them with the large variety of toppings that they have available. We also like their hot dogs; they split and grill them. Best of all is their french fries. They are fresh cut and cooked on site; greasy but delicious. The bags of potatoes are on display in the restaurant, and a sign usually tells where the potatoes were grown. You order at the counter and are given a number. Food is prepared, and your number is called when it is ready. Customers can help themselves to peanuts in the shell while waiting to order and for their food to be prepared. This store was clean and well-operated. I love Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Talk about a quick, inexpensive meal, this is the place. I have been there many times, even at times that were crowded. The wait for your food is super fast. They have peanuts to eat while you are waiting (not the best place to go if you have a peanut or nut allergy), and a great selection of sodas and Gold Peak ice teas. My normal meal is a Bacon Burgers with a variety of free toppings and an order of Cajun Fries, usually with a small drink since refills are free. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms typically as clean as a bathroom should be, Best fast food type of burger place in town. Highly recommend! read more

After going back recently for my fix of Cajun Fries and All the Way Little Cheeseburger, I was pleasantly surprised at how much cleaner it was. Previously, I had taken exception to the dirty floor and tables, but this problem seems to have been fixed (at least for that shift). They were pretty busy, but still had someone out on the floor sweeping under recently vacated tables and wiping things down. I'm super pleased that I won't feel compelled to go the extra distance to the Fair Oaks location any longer. Yay! read more

Aside from Ray's Hellburger, Five Guys is the best burger in the area, and this location is no exception. Don't come here for the vegetarian options (do they even have one?), and for the love of all that is holy don't get the large order of fries unless you have at least four people in your group, and then one large order will do. This is a fairly new location, and it has an extra wall of windows since it on the end of the strip mall, so it is lighter and cleaner inside than some of the older locations. The only downside is that during busy times this parking lot can be a little tough. read more

Now, it's still a good Five Guys burger, but when you cross the $12-$15 line for a burger with fries at a fast casual option.. I wonder whether I am getting my money's worth. I do stock up on their peanuts to cover the cost, but still I only walk away fatter. Nonetheless, Five Guys is one of the few internationally recognizable food brand coming out of the DMV area. I've been to a couple Five Guys but this one most recently. The ones I have been to are usually somewhat dingy with the same decent service. I remember going to one location in which everyone would eat the peanuts and throw the trash all over the floor. Gross. This location is well organized and well lit. Tables are organized to the right of the entrance and look very neat. There are bright lights overhead that keep the place from having a dingy or even dirty feel. Service is competent- standard for the place. They take your order, you grab your drink and wait. Burgers were good, so were the fries. I love a place where you are meant to customize your own burger- rather than a burger that it pre-customized and you have to ask someone to change it. They take all the work out of customizing a tasty burger- just tell them what you want, wait a little, and dig in. These burgers remind me of one other burger place that stands out in my life which was the "Base Ops" cafeteria in the building on the flightline at Ramstein AFB, Germany in the 1970s. We went there on Saturdays to get some really fab burgers -- freshly ground beef and hand-formed patties with all the fixin's. Now Five Guys is a chain, but very consistent in its offerings and quality. I've visited at least 15 Five Guys locations across VA, DE, and PA. This location is well-run and is quite busy during meal times. A few recommendations for patrons: 1. Don't get take-out. This food is meant to be eaten right away. Fries are best hot, and same with the burger. Plus, the grease from the fries may make your bag fall apart before you get home. 2. If you want a hotter burger, don't order the fries. Sometimes during busy periods the order of fries will slow down getting your burger because the fries are cooked as they are ordered (and don't sit around). 3. Don't expect a great atmosphere. Just eat your burger, enjoy the loud and fun music, and be happy. That's all that matters. Maybe do some people-watching. 4. Be sure you note the number on your order and match it to the receipt on the bag. And what's in the bag before you sit down. I (sadly and unintentionally) picked up someone else's order and when I took it back, the intended customer was not happy and demanded his money back. All we did was open the bag and look inside to find only one burger instead of two. It's not like we touched the food itself. I apologized and offered to buy him another one, but that didn't matter. He got his money back and left. Lesson learned for me. 5. The small order of fries is enough for two people. Be sure to tip the staff! read more

I like a good cheeseburger. I've gone to plenty of places in search of one done the right way. After several miserable failed attempts, I have a new appreciation for Five Guys. You know, it's just a really really good burger. In my original review, I complained that my cheese wasn't fully melted. That's an issue for me. But I've recently been laid up with an injured foot and have been having my man go pick me up some Five Guys. By the time he gets my burger home and I unwrap that foil, inside is a warm and delicious burger with perfectly melty cheese. And it's awesome. I can't get enough. You know, I'm not always crazy about their fries. They're good when you get 'em crispy, but sometimes they can be pretty limp. But it doesn't matter. Five Guys has 5-star burgers. read more

Look, I don't get it. Five Guys is NOT my idea of a good burger. Every once in a while I have lunch with a rabid fan of 5 Guys and end up back at one of their many locations. My wife isn't a fan at all, either. I like burgers cooked to order(Rare) and I'm a snob about fries. You get lots of fries if you like them, tho. I like that you can pick & choose toppings, but they don't have eggs. Staff is always nice, and peanuts are cool. It's as expensive as eating at a sit down restaurant for a burger, but it misses the quality mark in my opinion. Big value in quantity of food I suppose, but overall, the staff is the saving grace in my opinion. If you're a Five Guys fan, I'm sure you'll love this location. I've been having a love/hate relationship with this Five Guys since the little shopping center they're in opened up. The first few months it was perfectly fine, no problems, food was good, etc. I would normally either call ahead or order online before I got in my car and the food was ready a minute or two after I'd walked in and paid. Wonderful. After a few months the phone orders were harder and harder to get across, which resulted in a handful of mistakes. No mustard on one burger, no fries once or twice, no mayo on a different burger... If it was once or twice this wouldn't have been an issue, but it was getting to be that every time I called ahead my order would be wrong. Easy problem to solve though, just switch to their online ordering. Bad idea. Every time I've used their online ordering system I've had to wait in the restaurant longer than if I'd just walked in off the street. When it says that your order will be ready in fifteen minutes, then you drive over there, and then you wait for fifteen while people who came in, ordered, and paid after you did have already left with their food it just doesn't make sense. The food here is just as decent as most other Five Guys in the area, but their service is the absolute pits. read more
