The menu is not your typical hot dog stand as you can get burgers, cheesesteaks, and a variety of sides and other items. Depending on when you stop by, there could be a line and the food is made fresh, so the wait might be longer than expected. However, the food is really good. Easily influenced by TikTok, I came across Marky's Munchery and realized this local spot was so close to me that I had to try it. We ordered two burgers -- the classic smash burger (lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese) and the BBQ bacon burger (grilled onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce) -- along with their famous cheesesteak combo. The cheesesteak came loaded with lettuce, jalapeños, tomato, and steak infused with peppers and onions, topped with Marky's-style cheese, plus seasoned fries and a soda. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can't recommend this place enough -- especially knowing they're part of our local community. I've walked past this gem so many times without realizing what I was missing! It's tucked away in the Home Depot parking lot on Little River Turnpike, so don't sleep on it. The man working was the kindest soul and really elevated the experience. What I got: District Dog - 5* wow, my first bite sent me to heaven! The bacon on this hot dog was perfection and I loved the onions and beans with it as well. I can't wait to try the other dog options though it will be hard not to order this one again. Quick review. I found this food truck while scoping out lunch spots on the way home from Delaware last week. I was looking to get a burger at someplace right off the highway in the DC area. Marky's is located in a Home Depot parking lot off I-395 in Alexandria Virginia. I went with a double smash combo with bacon. It was delicious and the price is very reasonable. He was busy with orders but, mine came out quick. As you can see from the menu photo he offers different variations on burgers, hot dogs and Philly cheesesteaks. Lunch comfort foods at their finest. Obsessed with this place. Been passing this place for years but never tried it and FINALLY had the chance to stop by. Let me tell you, the owner, Marky is full of nothing but good vibes. He greets each and every customer with a smile and is passionate about what he does. Cheesesteak had tons of flavor and there was a nice spicy sriracha Mayo. Fries were crispy and seasoned well. The owner/chef was talking to me and saying he tweaks the menu or at least how he prepares some of the dishes it seems like, but this was great. Marky's Munchery is a small food stand that is located on the eastern part of the Home Depot parking lot, kind of near the laundromat/car wash. Owned and operated by Mr. Mark himself (who, by the way, is the most friendliest, most welcoming, most positive-vibes-exuding individual EVER!), the menu offers hot dogs (both regular and bacon-wrapped) with various toppings, burgers, and a cheesesteak. You can customize your orders, and Mr. Mark is willing to whip something up for you that you'll enjoy. I was disappointed that there wasn't the fresh-squeezed lemonade available, but just another reason to check this place out during the summer months! The hubs and I ordered the Marky's Cheesesteak (toasted philly roll with mayo, shredded steak, onions, and peppers; came with a side of potato salad) and the Chili Cheese Dog (on a toasted bun with a bacon-wrapped hot dog, melted cheese, chili, and onions; came with a side of potato salad). Both really hit the spot - the cheesesteak was super peppery, and it had an ample amount of meat, onions, and peppers - yum! I'd probably ask for extra cheese next time! The bacon-wrapped dog was yummy, and the housemade chili and the cheese was tasty! I really enjoyed the potato salad, too - great little side! You can combo it up with a bag of chips and a can of soda/water. There were people who ordered items to go, and there are a couple of tables to dine al fresco.
