I don't think I had good BBQ in over 10 years in my surrounding areas, it took over a year before I tried Smokers Delight BBQ. So glad I tried this place the BBQ ribs were tender, juicy; flavorful by itself but with the sauce it was amazing! The fried fish was super crispy, tender, seasoned perfectly. The jerk chicken was heavily seasoned a bit salty and too spicy for me but I could taste the habanero. Service was fast and super friendly, not much of an ambiance because its carry-out. I was in the area this past weekend to pick up a Desk from Scandinavian furniture and looked at Yelp and this place was well recommended. At first we drove in circles because the accress in google maps is incorrect. When we got to the Restaurant, we were surprised as it is in an office building. Do not let the looks fool you or drive you away, you are in for a treat. WE wanted Brisket, but they were sold out. So, I ordered The ribs and whiting and had mac and cheese and green beans as sides. My wife had Chicken and Ribs with Yams and Collard Greens as sides. In my opinion as a cook, ribs should be edible without sauce. The sauce is a bonus and if the ribs are not seasoned right, the sause will maskl or enhance their flavor. These ribs were AMAZING!. Smoky, juicy, and tasty. I did not touch the sauce. The whiting was also great, well seasoned and not overcooked. I sampled some of chicken my wife ordered and it too was very good. The mac and cheese was ok and the green beans were ok. I also had the Collards and they were excellent. This is a Hidden gem and I might drive the 70 Miles to try the Brisket, if it was sold out early in the afternoon, then it must really be good. I used Smokers Delight BBQ to cater a party of 75 on July 5th and was quoted $1076.25 plus a $40 delivery fee. I requested chicken, ribs, and green beans. The food was delivered at 2:15 which was great for our party that started at 3. I put one of the pans on the buffet and the top wasn't secured so it fell open and so did my mouth. The pan was no where near full (see pics below). I immediately ran upstairs to see the rest of the food the delivery person brought in and all the pans looked bare. The delivery person even said "oh no". I asked if she could have the owner Keisha call me because this couldn't be right. Keisha called and was argumentative. She told me that's enough food to feed 75 people because not everyone eats both chicken and ribs. I informed her that I specifically came in the restaurant and spoke to Brian the chef/owner letting him know that I wanted to make sure there was enough food and if I needed to add more food and pay I will. He assured me that what I requested was fine. Keisha then said Brian didn't communicate the conversation we had to her and that she told the kitchen what was needed but contradicted herself later when she said Brian packed the food. I ended up getting chicken and ribs from another BBQ place (The Rolling Rib) who provided excellent service and a great amount of flavorful food. As I recovered from the lack of food, I finally sat down to eat one of the few ribs that was delivered and some green beans. I couldn't even bite down on the green beans. It lacked flavor and I couldn't even break the outside of it to chew. I had a few complaints from the early party goers about the ribs being a bit salty and the green beans being like gum (wouldn't break down). I immediately emailed Keisha and said I'd like a full refund because this ruined my dad's party. Not only did they attempt to pass off 50 pieces of chicken by breaking it up into 3 pans, it also tasted like it was reheated. If you're looking for quality, flavorful food worth $1076.25 don't waste time with Smokers Delight BBQ. I requested a refund and the owner Brian said we received the proper amount of food for the money. Do the pictures look like $1076.25 worth of food? I wish I could give -150 stars. I hate to leave this review but this is why yelp is yelp. Unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing BBQ experiences I have had in my life. The taste lacked and it almost seems as if BBQ is not their fortay. Meaning the chicken was overcooked, the brisket was too fatty, and the pork was the driest of the dry. They were out of collard greens, beans w bacon and did not include the mac and cheese. These are staples with BBQ and to not have them on top of unpleasant meat experience just drops the hammer. Lastly, 3 meals for $80 on top of it not tasting good just absolutely made me cringe. I'm not sure if they were having a bad day or what but I won't be back nor do I recommend this to ANYONE. Trust me, you need to eat here! This was my first visit here and immediately became a staple for me. The most tender, flavorful, filling ribs EVER. And no, you do not need the bbq sauce!! Literally I handed my 13month old a rib and she was able to eat it!! I was in the mood for fried fish and a couple people suggested Smokers Delight. I've known about the business for a while, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is in the back of the building, but had plenty of parking. The restaurant is very clean and you are immediately welcomed when you walk in. The menu is digital and simple. The young lady informed me that the only fish available was whiting. I prefer catfish or trout, but I decided to give it a try. My food was ready in about 10 minutes, and the young lady was so friendly when giving me my food. Seriously, the customer service is amazing. But the food was underwhelming.I ordered the whiting platter, which comes with 2 sides. The sides weren't good. The Mac n cheese is a custard type cheese. It tastes like cooked eggs. I originally had bought my lunch from home today, but kept receiving emails from colleagues in the building about how good the food was. Then one of good friends in the building called me and told me I needed to check them out. I had the Brisket lunch meal. It can with a sandwich, mac and cheese, green beans, a drink and a piece of bomb honey bun cake. The brisket was very tender with a tasty BBQ sauce and flavorful sides. Moved to White Plains, MD and I found my go to for BBQ and fried fish. Hubby didn't even need to put the BBQ sauce on his ribs. He also had the Mac n cheese w/ yams. The reviews about this business are questionable. Me and my husband got food poisoning after consuming ribs from this place. Our order was the first meal we had for the day. We got sick really bad, and it took us about 4,5 days to recover. Extreme dehydration, diarrhea and vomiting. I'm so thankful that my children didn't eat the food. My friend reached out when we were under the weather, and she confirmed that she too got sick after eating food from here. We all thought, wow! This is crazy... what a coincidence. I was very dissatisfied, the fish had no seasoning, completely bland but fried perfect,the Mac was more like yellow noodles. The cheese mixture they use must have egg in it because it's very sparse and doesn't cling to the noodles,it reminded me of Mac you get from the Caribbean restaurant. The collards or either canned or old. They are over seasoned and have a strong vinegar taste. I love Carolina BBQ and this Chef seems to be from NC from the flavors I was getting. This business I've been following for over 5 years on IG and had never been, it's really out of my way so when I was 16 mins away from a place visiting I decided to finally check them out. It was nice to see the new establishment, and the cashier was friendly and personable. Now, when it comes to food I am critical so take this review as an opinion not to heart. When walking in, there was no bbq aroma attraction so it was difficult to get excited about the menu. For a barbecue spot we take for granted liking that sweet and Smokey smells good, yes I understand they smoke and grill outside, but there was no deliciousness in the air. Their IG page does give a great display of the food, so in your brain you go with that and forget smells. I ordered the smoked leg, collard greens smoked Mac and cheese, and banana pudding. Side note, I'm a big fan of side items, so if those are hitting, but I don't like the main entrée I'll still come back and try something else. Also I know not all side dishes are equal, and I am open to different. The cashier mentioned the collards were good and their barbecue sauce was from scratch, but in all honesty I was very leery on still having placed my order. It was just a feeling, if you're a foodie you know about the six foodie sense. Looking at the kitchen and the cooking staff, I just didn't get the visuals of expecting a mouth popping meal; if you know you know (too much to explain). Got my food, and I am serious from looking on the outside of the clear container I knew the collards was going to be bland, and Mac was soupy. The chicken was ok, not falling off the bone and a few light pink spots. Collards seemed as if they were just boiled with a pinch of salt, the Mac had a light saucy blend not really a cheesy taste more noodley. As a foodie I don't add salt or pepper to compensate for flavor, I understand that folks are not heavy handed on salt, but it's technique and ingredients that I consider. The Mac tasted like it was stove top with only mild cheese, 2 % milk and elbow noodles. If I go back, dismissing my side dish rule I'd try the ribs and shrimp, but I wouldn't get any sides. The banana pudding was great though. I encourage folks to try out this spot, sometimes things taste different on different days plus we are in a recession so we have to consider that restaurants are doing the best they can to provide a satisfying meal. read more

My review is based on my experience at their food truck which I visited in White Plains on 301 S side. First of all, I love supporting a small local business. We have so many crappy chains in this area and it gives me great joy to spend my money to a hard-working small business. I enjoyed chatting with the lady at the register while my food was prepared. My very favorite thing that I ordered was the hush puppies. I love myself a good hush puppy and this was certainly one of them! They had the round kind with a crispy outside and warm corn bread inside and even had a few bits of kernel corn. I would stop back by just to get a side of hush puppies as an afternoon pick me up! We also got five pieces of ribs and eight piece wing flats. The ribs were delicious and the meat was so tender and falling off the bone. It might have had a little bit too much sauce for my liking but it was still good and had a great taste. I may ask for sauce on the side next time. The wing flats had a great taste and good, crispy skin...the only complaint we had is that they were quite small. They just didn't have much meat on them but they were very good! Maybe we just got an extra small batch? We would definitely order these again. All in all I was very impressed and I'm thankful I finally got to try them out. So horrid. There was barely meat on the ribs. And the "barbecue sauce" tastes nothing like bbq, and everything like cinnimon. The baked beans also tasted like cinnimon. What is y'all doin to that food?! Throw that cinnimon in the trash and get some Sweet Baby Rays, y'all. That sauce is garbage. Nothing you serve should involve cinnimon .
