Unfortunately they were out of soup and the bottle of sauce hid when they were packing our food. However, we got pork BBQ, coleslaw on the side, Baked Beans, and Hushpuppies. Pork came as sandwiches and were the best Pork BBQ sandwich I have had in a long time! Communication was excellent! Rodney called me within minutes of placing my online order to let me know the soups were not available and offered an alternate meal. I think he may have forgotten to credit me for the missed bottle of sauce but I'll check in about that next time I order from them. read more

The service was nice and the guys that were there back when I went were very friendly. The food however was not so good the sides didn't have a lot of flavor and the ribs were a little tough and chewy but I would try them one more time because they were so friendly maybe it wasn't a good day and the food could be better on the second try. read more

Honestly , the catfish was good even though it was fried too soft for my liking. Mac & cheese , 5/10, has a nasty/funny after taste. Collards 4/10, not really much flavor , has a light vinegar taste but that's about it. I most likely won't return. read more

So I wanted to try their food after I seen the guy from Instagram that review food recommend this place. I ordered the wingette platter and my husband ordered the pork rib platter. The food was okay. I preferred my chicken to be fried with a batter then add sauce. When restaurant cooked naked wings they seem to be fried too hard for my liking but the sauce was delicious the Mac and cheese was too eggy and lacked seasoning. The greens were good but were dry due to lack of juice in them. I also purchased hush puppies they were delicious. The customer service was excellent which saved the review. The customer service was good. There wasn't any traffic so I didn't have to wait to order. I ordered the stamp platter; 2 pieces of fried catfish, candied yams, macaroni & cheese, 4 or 5 fried shrimp, and a fried shrab cake with shrab sauce. The best parts of the platter were the catfish and the yams. Everything else was a 7/10. There was more flavor needed and the shrimp were tough. Finally had the opportunity to check out Fireman's Cafe and I was upset with myself for being late to the game. The service was great even for a takeout order. Staff were welcoming and kind. We ordered whiting platter with greens, broccoli salad, and potato salad. Fish/seasoned perfectly. However the greens were the star for me. So much so I circled back to get more but large this time. The $18 Shrab sandwich which came with French Fries was excellent, 5/5. My sidekick said she would order the whiting fish meal (2 sides) again. You can not eat in now-Covid restrictions. You order and they bring your order to your automobile. There are various delivery services (Uber Eats, Doordash and Postmates) also. They open at noon and we were the only ones there at 12:10 PM. I saw the word "shrabster" and was like WTF is that!?! The string beans & Mac were delicious (well seasoned). The surprise winner for me was the ribs! I generally don't eat ribs but they threw some in the bag and of course we had to try it! I wanted to really like this place... the owner was very nice but the food was nothing to call home for. I arrived sometime after 6 pm and ordered my food in store. I got the fried catfish with greens and yams as well as the shrab sandwich with fries. The fried catfish lacked seasoning, the greens were drenched in vinegar, and the yams were good! The shrab sandwich and the fries were also good. However the "shrab" was tiny on a huge bun. Honestly it would have been a lot better on a Hawaiian roll. My husband and and went there this past Saturday because my husband saw the "Stamped" review and had to try it. He got the Stamped plater with shrab cake, catfish, shrimp, and fries. Horrible and the same for the candied yams. I ordered a half slab of ribs meal. Gray ribs with puky looking yellow sauce. Mac and cheese was ok. I also ordered a hot and a cold lobster rolls. Both were hot (butter sauce) even though marked as I ordered. Lobster rolls were edible, but on unbuttered and not grilled regular small hot dog buns. I didn't bother to try the potato salad I bought. Service was great but the food is not good. I threw the ribs, greens, Mac and cheese and yams in the garbage. I will not return. read more

Great, comforting food! This is a small spot that's doing takeout only currently during the pandemic. For safety, you can order inside but then they ask you to wait in your car and they will bring your food out to you. My meal came quickly and was absolutely delicious. This place hit the spot. I had the fried chicken platter with Mac n cheese and greens. The chicken was only full wings. I would've liked some variety, but the chicken was so good that I'm not complaining. Great seasoning, great crunch, fresh, juicy. Definitely the highlight of the meal.
