I am always looking for a side of the road rib shack or chicken joint. Emphasis on Side of the Road. Although Rosebuds has a brick & motor, catering, and delivery service the food says otherwise. I ordered the fries wings and there is no picture to show because they food wasn't on that plate long. The menu has everything so I will be back plenty to let yal know the other vibes.

This spot does awesome catering so I stopped by to pick up lunch. Upon entering I was a little hesitant on ordering because the place is Dingy looking. It's very small you see them prepare everything. I ordered a rib sandwich and I watched as he took the ribs from a silver foil pan on the stove and put them in the microwave. I was not expecting my food to be microwaved that made them dry. I Usually eat my ribs with no sauce but These ribs definitely needed it. The potato salad was pretty good. I would try the ribs again if o could have them fresh

I have been coming here since they've opened and the service and quality of food has done nothing but get better. They make meals that will keep you coming back again and again. Black owned business that definitely needs our support to continue to grow.

I've been wanting to try this place forever and I'm glad it finally happened. It sits right at across the DC/MD state line on Central Ave next to a liquor store. You can tell it's been here a while and has lots of loyal customers since so many came in during the, relatively, short wait for the order I experienced. I had challenges finding good ribs in D.C. so that's exactly what I wanted. I got them with the baked beans and potato salad. The ribs were really good and had a nice smoky flavor. The potato salad was decent too. The burger baked beans were delicious. The only thing I wish is that the sides weren't microwaved before being placed in the containers. I understand that it might not be cost effective to cook sides that might not sell daily but I bet everything tastes better fresh.

This is my order of a slab of ribs $22.99 with a few missing because I was hungry!!! lol

This spot is "Legit", I decided to go to Rose Buds BBQ Today around 1:30 pm and ordered a slab of ribs (with mild bbq sauce on the side) large burger beans, large potato salad and a small M&C and everything was yummy and the ribs were very tender. I will never go to Johnny Boys again as long as this spot is open. Although the hours can be tricky just call ahead of time to make sure they are open. GO ASAP!! and support our people. PS. The owner was very pleasant.

The BBQ sauce was really good. BBQ on the other hand was old and dried out. Not a fan of the greens. Sorry. Won't be back.

I am a repeat visitor of Rosebuds. To date, I haven't had anything that wasn't well flavored. An added plus are the affordable price.

I got here around 4:45 and it was empty. I was the only person there from the time until I left around 7pm. There was a couple that had came in but they left quickly without ordering anything not sure why but they were out in about 10 minutes. There was only one waiter who informed me the bar tender would be in around 5:30 but she didn't get there until around 5:45. She did make up for it with a on the house lemon drop which was really good! So I ordered honey lemon wings and jollof spaghetti with shrimp. Now the wings and blue cheese were so hot and tasty!! But the jollof rice tasted like spaghetti with some bland sauce on it and shrimp tasted fishy not good at all. So the waiter suggested I order oxtail, plantains, and coconut rice which I ordered which I did. Everything but the rice was good. The rice didn't have any coconut flavor and was like some type of veggie rice concoctions. I would not recommend the rice, jollof spaghetti even the broccoli which was cold when I received my food. The restaurant is set up real cute and artsy but the food options need to be upgraded. And I did not like they charge a 18% gratuity on your bill even if you are by yourself. The restaurant was completely empty when I left so not sure how they are staying in business unless the crowed comes after 8pm. The only saving grace was the lemon drop was really good and the rum punch! Other than that besides the wings, small oxtails, blue cheese, and plantains I would not recommend. Also go during happy hour save a little bit but you still will get the 18% gratuity....smdh

I sat at the bar and was told they were waiting on the bartender but the manager (?) could make margaritas or lemon drops. I chose margaritas and while they actually were pretty good, the limited options were a little disappointing. I really enjoyed the Honey lemon wings (on the happy hour menu) and calamari, and I wish I could have tried the Suya bites but they were not available. Apparently they take an hour to prepare? I'm not sure why but I was sad I couldn't have them. I would possibly visit Bistro 64 again (for the wings), but absolutely at a different day/time. I'd be curious to see what it's like when the space is not empty.

Well, what can I say or better yet write. I will say that when you go to certain places you know…read morewhat type of service you will get. In the end it is my fault for still having hope that you can find that diamond in the rough....very rough. Heck I will be satisfied with a fake quartz at this point. The service is going to outweigh the food. The wings were decent, and a BOGO TMobile offer brought me here on this day which was June 8th at around 1130AM. Upon entering this place I see three workers and the female finally looked up from her phone with a look of I guess I have to say something to you. There was another guy standing there who did not make any eye contact or moved. Upon seeing this I am so glad I did a mobile order as to not deal with what I could foresee coming. I gave her my name and said it was an online order. She checked and said it was not ready and moved to a doorway but you could still see her cell phone sticking out. Priorities. Curious as to how much longer my food would take which is something I think is basic after saying your food is not ready. Also, maybe it is just me but I feel a way when someone is on their cell phone who handles food. Let's keep it real we know where people take their phones and pretty sure it is not being cleaned as much as it should. Here is where I saw the "I don't give a damn" turned up to next level. First the guy cooking gets a pass as he was of course working. Two people came in and there was no effort to greet them despite it being obvious that customers were awaiting. It's like that's not my job. After both waiting there was a fourth person working there. He came from the back to speak to the customers and see what they would like. WTH. As far as the only doing one job I was correct. When my food was ready the female (on that phone still and no handwashing) on the phone placed my food in the bag and the guy just standing there placed my fries in the bag. No multitasking here. It is one thing to have one job but how about do the job good. First of all if you work in almost any industry you have to deal with customers. If you do not like talking to people, then don't take jobs in customer service. Yes, if you offer any type of assistance especially when a purchase has taken place then you are in customer service. Perhaps my idea of customer service has changed as I thought it was being proactive, clearly communicating, being a professional, and being responsive. Then the audacity to ask you for a tip starting at 20% on top of not being able to do the basics, which is a basic life skill in in saying hello to a person. I write this and it does not matter because the saddest part is that the workers here perform their job at a level which is only lowering the bar and that low bar is becoming the norm. Excuse me, it is the norm.

They seemed to be short staffed and could use some additional help there were only 2 workers in the entire restaurant working. The lady working in the back packing orders did not have on gloves, as she fixed food (fries with cheese sauce) which was extremely concerning. She also took an order at the register and then went back to fix orders still no gloves. She also picked up cups from the floor and put them on the counter. Ambiance: needed some attention, floor is dirty. No straws for my drink. Suggestion: drive the extra miles if you are wanting Wingstop... or skip it completely.

My spring roll was actually really good & very crispy. He hated his egg roll and said he tasted like boiled beef. We used uber eats so we didn't encounter any of the staff or delivery people if they have them. The food was ready for delivery in a normal timeframe and it was hot and fresh. But everything from this place was crispy. Like, really crispy. The crab Rangoon pieces were hard and the sauce was more tangy than sweet & sour. The spring roll crust was hard and crispy. The bits of chicken were hard. It made a squeak sound against one of my teeth while I was chewing. Interesting. I'm a fan of a softer fare, but the sauce was good and the rice was great. There wasn't much broccoli so don't expect a little green with your calories. There were two pieces to be exact. Across the board, this isn't a place I'd order from again, but that's just my personal preference. My boyfriend enjoyed his entree and the food wasn't bad. It had its ups and downs, but the crispy texture was too much for me.
