We put our name on the waiting list and were seated about 40 minutes later in the section on King St. Service was very good. My friends were drinking hard seltzers and margaritas. I opted for Vola's hot coffee, which just didn't taste very good, even when camouflaged with cream. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate fudge cake, vanilla bean trifle and Audrey's key lime pie. The chocolate fudge cake was very rich and very tasty. But even I, as a chocolate lover, would have preferred that the cake had come with some vanilla ice cream to balance things out. The key lime pie with Chantilly cream was good with a sharp lime flavor. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Trifle. This dessert came with a blackberry compote, Chantilly cream, whipped cream and a crispy thin butterscotch tuile wafer. The flavors in the trifle were great, but because the dessert was served at nearly room temperature, it wasn't very appealing. To be best enjoyed, this dessert should have been chilled.

You'll smell fresh fish when you walk in, but it's not an unpleasant odor--it's simply the smell of fresh seafood. One of the things I appreciate most is the staff. They've always been friendly, patient, and helpful whenever I've needed assistance or had questions. Over the years, I've purchased crabs , oysters , black bass, whiting, trout, spot, crawfish , and shrimp . Every purchase has been fresh and delicious. Their tartar sauce is also worth picking up if you're planning a seafood dinner. Now, I'm not a crab expert, so I can't compare them to every seafood market around. I can only speak from my own experience, and the crabs I've purchased have always been good. If you're going for crabs, get there early. They sell quickly, especially during the summer months. Another reason I keep coming back is the daily specials. They often have great seasonal deals, making it a perfect time to stock up on fresh seafood. I could've eaten here every day while on my assignment because the menu is insane. I ordered the Jumbo fried shrimp and Shrimp fried rice. The shrimp were fried perfectly and seasoned to the T. The fried rice was the best I've had in a long time. I loved that it had bean sprouts, they provide the necessary crunch and not too greasy. Jam packed with shrimp. Legit good food and its inexpensive. Now the customer service is terrible. The gentlemen that was running the front was also assisting with cooking. We waited about 5 minutes to even get our order taken. And when he did take our order it was very rushed as if he had no time for us. They do have parking out front and the back of the place.
