Wow! Their salads are filled to the brim! I ordered a small Southwestern Salad and I had left overs. They also serve medium and "big ass" sizes. The ingredients were fresh and the bacon was delicious! They gave me 3 little containers of dressing, which was more than enough. My husband had the Chicago- ish dog and really liked it. The worker was patient and kind as we decided what to get and our food was prepared pretty quickly. They were not busy on this Saturday afternoon. The orders are to go and they have picnic tables available to eat at. The restaurant is located in an old brick house and the entrance is the black metal door. There are many great food choices in LaPlata, but this is a must try! I can't wait to try another salad! read more

Was really craving hot dogs this past week so noticed there was a place close by with decent reviews. Had to stop in when we went by. We stepped inside and found the nice cozy lobby entertaining to see and read while we waited for the meals to be prepared. We ordered 4 dogs total and got 2 chips and 2 bottled drinks with the meals. The hot dog itself was insanely good and the bun was fresh n soft. We snagged 2 of the cheese and cheeto hotdogs. Those needed a little bit more cheese to hold it all together and probably should have eaten those there instead of driving home with them 20 min. It allowed the cheetos to get soft and mushy from the hot steam. We also got 2 other dogs. One had tomatoes, cheese, and bacon on it. Believe me it was loaded with bacon. You would love this one if you love bacon. Just maybe needed a lil more of the cheese sauce. Was a lil dry. The last one was a classic chili dog which was our favorite one we had. Chili dog was huge...Brioche bun was amazing. was on my way down south and I had a craving for chili jogs and just put it in yelp and amazing that it was literally on my way. Great service. I loved the chili with cheese and jalapeños as well. Much better 10X than sonic which was my initial plan. read more

Tried 3 dogs. Lots of microwave usage heard/seen. Once i got the food the hotdogs werent hot enough to melt the cheese. Good quality ingredients but tasted and looked like it was all microwaved. Slow too for hotdogs that everything is precooked. Pleasant employees. Love supporting locals but wont be going back. read more

Friendly and quick service at this establishment. I tried the cobb salad and it didn't even need dressing with all the toppings. The bacon strips are chopped up and added to the salad rather than the pre-packaged bacon crumbles, which I loved! The dressings are also made in house and can be purchased in jars as well. The hot dogs are much larger and the bun is much tastier than when it first opened so if it's been a while since you've tried it, give it another try. There are some picnic tables out front but this is more of a takeout situation for most days as there are no indoor seating options. read more

This spot is a small place,so you won't be able to sit down inside, but the service was great and the food even better. I got salad with the house Chipotle dressing, and it all tasted amazing. My only complaint that isn't really a complaint is that they filled the container up too much, so they didn't allow room to shack and get the dressing in it without eating it down some. read more

This place is all take out, to-go service. I wouldn't get hotdogs from here again. They are too high and too small for the price, plus tasteless. The to-go dogs were barely warm, so cold the cheese put on top didn't even start melting. The bun was even cold. Go to 7-Eleven to get a better hotdog. If you want a salad that is big enough to feed 5-6 hungry folks this is your place. We didn't order a salad, just saw the huge ones. I hope the salads taste better than our dawgs. Don't sleep on this place. The hot dog fits the bun and they don't skimp on the add-ons. The salad was was also full of toppings and they give you the right amount of salad dressing without you asking. It's a cute hidden jewel making simple foods delicious. read more

This is a hidden gem in downtown La Plata with excellent, hearty, large salads. I have been here 10+ times and have never had a bad salad (house, cobb, and south western are my go-tos). The ambiance inside is very clean for a carry out style place, don't expect to sit down as their are not tables inside (picnic tables outside). All of the cashiers and cooks that I have dealt with have always been kind and courteous. As I mentioned it really is a "hidden" gem - I've heard from multiple folks that they've had trouble finding its locations, this business should really invest in some flappy flags to put by the road that say "salads" and "hotdogs" to bring some more attention to their great small business! It is located in the stone building that used to be the old tea room right across the parking lot from a large church. read more

I've gone here a few times now and it's one of my favorite hotdog stands. The price and quality of food is really good. One crew cooked my hot dogs perfectly and another had it a little under. Still loved both visits but I would like a more cooked dog with some snap. Nice people and cool little shack. These are Nathan's hot dogs. My least favorite of all hot dogs lol. I just can't get down w the taste. Especially with all the crap they want to pour on it,... I suspect in an attempt to mask the flavor of nasty old Nathan's. Plus they're like *never open*, super random hours. I ordered a Salad at 12:40pm. I was given a 21 minute delivery window. Over an hour later, still didn't get my order. My dasher ditched my order because he couldn't wait any longer. He already waited 45 minutes at the restaurant. They close at 2:00pm. 20 minutes before they close I still had no order. I called the store at 1:17pm and they said they were working on it. No they were not. becuase 20 minutes later they were still preparing a SALAD. I am not allowed to leave my work for breaks so I wasted my lunch, I spent almost $30 that now i have to cancel and it wont get back to my account for 3 days. Sure I will eat in 3 days....cool.
