I decided to come order at the LaPlata location after expressing my experience in Waldorf with "Tim". Brittany one of the managers there offers to remake in the house, and the District Manager also happened to be in, apologized for "Tim's" behavior and gave me a certificate for my next meal. Panera is like going into CVS If you go into one then you've gone into all of them. Just came here with a friend for after dinner bite. I ended up getting the half soup as well as the sandwich. No problems with either everything was pretty solid. I like the dining experience. It's pretty clean. I do wish they had a little bit more space around the seats because it is a local establishment that way you can have a bit more of a business or a private conversation. Overall I had a pretty good experience and I would definitely come back Parking is in a free parking lot which is provided. Bathroom is clean. While looking for a seat with my family, we found all the empty booths were not clean and located one mostly clean half booth in the rear of the store. While walking to our table, I heard someone say "I want you to understand I can fire you right now but I not going to". I looked over to see what appeared to be two members of the management team counseling a team member at an adjacent table. The counseling went on for about 10 minutes and the entire conversation could be heard without trying to listen. The woman, later identified as the General Manager, had absolutely zero tact in her approach over an apparent uniform violation (wearing the wrong hat). Having served in a managerial position I understand the importance of the little things, but I also understand the importance of the approach. Though I don't know the context, she told the employee that she is scared of him sometimes. The entire patio was empty and it was only about 80 degrees outside, a much more suitable place to have this conversation. The end of the counseling was filled some personal remarks about previous employment and future plans for a management role. These seemed very insincere and an attempt to soften the overall tone. The employee sat there and was quiet and respectful during the meeting. I approach the employee after the meeting ended in an attempt to provide words of encouragement, at which point the GM interjected and denied any wrong doing, being dismissive of my point of view. Having to listen to this counseling session and the unprofessionalism of the management team caused me to lose my appetite and I didn't even touch my food. I won't be back to Panera. read more

I ordered a breakfast egg and sausage on croissant. When I received my sandwich, it look like it was something that was pulled out of the freezer and warmed in the microwave where the cheese had melted onto the napkin in the plate. Way overpriced compared to other fast food places and NOT ACCEPTABLE QUALITY. A FEW VERY SMALL PIECES OF LIMP LETTUCE, SMALL AMOUNT OF A NONDESCRIPT SAUCE, NO TOMATO, a small piece of overcooked chicken and some horrible "parmesan chips". I wanted to hold off giving this review. I really want to give them 5 stars, but I can't. This is my go-to Panera because it's about 5 minutes from my house. The employees are mostly really friendly, especially the cashiers, and it's generally a welcoming environment. However, there's one thing they have a huge problem with: accuracy. Most of the time, I have no complaints; but there are periods of time, I'm guessing during high turnover, where they can't get my order right at save their lives and it can go on for months. I counted once. My order was incorrect TEN TIMES IN A ROW. I once ordered the edamame soba noodle bowl and was given a chicken one. I alerted the girl working at the food prep/delivery station and she told me it's because I ordered chicken. I explained that I wouldn't because I'm a vegetarian and showed her my receipt. How would she know anyway? She didn't take my order! No apology or anything, she just got an attitude with her co-workers and "fixed it." I don't think she works there anymore, but they're still messing up my orders to the extent that I contacted corporate a month or so ago. The representative that I spoke to sent me a gift card, but I had to email him again the next day because guess what? My order was wrong again! I usually order a Mediterranean Veggie without feta and cucumbers because I don't like either one and they are hard to pick off because they get stuck in the hummus and I have to pull my whole sandwich apart to take them off and the bread still freakin tastes like it. Ugh. Which brings me to yesterday. I ordered the same thing, through the app, as a curbside pickup. I get down the road to discover that not only did they not customize my sandwich at all (which is usually how they mess it up, except one time they just left off the greens and gave me everything else), but one side of the bread crust was burnt. BURNT. And someone thought this was acceptable to serve to their customers. Unreal. This is the last straw for me. I can't continue to order from a place that doesn't seem to have any kind of quality control. It's ridiculous. I'm going to have to start going to other ones nearby instead. Sometimes I feel like it's just me. Extrapolating the number of times they've gotten my order wrong - I mean, how many others are there? And I once had to wait for my food so long that the people I was with were halfway done with their food before I said something- they had forgotten to make it. I have had bad experiences in the past but this one was the worst. I stood waiting for my order. Several orders were served to customers who came after me. Finally, the young lady behind the counter asked, "What are you waiting for?" in a very annoyed tone. I said broccoli cheddar soup and an apple. She looks at me and says, "I said Doug twice." I told her I am not Doug. She said well that is the only order I have for broccoli cheddar soup and an apple, they must have put the wrong name on it. Then proceeds to toss my bag forward. Food was not good. I ordered new home style chicken noodle soup and received chicken broth. The 2 flat bread pizzas we ordered should've been cooked longer it's like they just through cheese on the pizza and put it oven for 5 minutes. Once we put them in the oven for 15 minutes they were good. I am giving the place a two because my daughter enjoyed her tomato soup and the pizza was good after we cooked it longer. Okay so before reviewing, I really wanted to give this place a chance. I've come here a total of 4 times and not one time has it been an enjoyable experience. My very first visit, (my first time ever going to any panera) I was trying to decide and must have only taken 2 minutes to glance at their selection of items and was being rushed and watched as the other employees stood, stared and laughed. Trying to contain my frustration, I brushed it off and ordered anyway. Ordered 6 bagels and a breakfast sandwhich. 6 of the SAME bagels so the order wasn't that hard. The employee rolled their eyes and asked me rudely if i want them ALL toasted and cut. I said yes. We came early in the morning too so there were hardly any customers. I did try to see things from their perspective out of kindness however I decided that this and the waldorf locations are just awful. Terrible customer service. I usually don't try to care too much about customer service just because I'm more concerned with the product however after that many bad experiences consecutively, I just had it. I have been to this location several times, and more often than not have had a bad experience. Unfortunately it's the closest to folks I meet up with, and where we work, so it's where we end up. Some issues: Once we held a study there in the back and the whole area was infested with ants. By the time we realized it, they were all over our feet and legs, and then in our belongings. Another time I ordered a few things for family in town to be picked up and was appalled at the lack of care and sanitation by the folks preparing the meal. The person chose not to be clean or sanitary in prepping our food, and in front of me ended up microwaving a plastic bag of Macaroni and Cheese, instead of serving what I thought was fresh food. Once it was done in the microwave she cut it open and poured it into a bowl. (Honestly, if it's not fresh, at least do that so we don't see it.) But the worst part of that experience was when the girl tore our bread pieces by leaning it up against her body and in her long braided hair. When I asked for her to replace the bread piece in the bag, she was unhappy, and then just gave me the other half that had also been in her hair. There have been other instances in addition to these, bringing on so much frustration with that location. We have placed orders that have been wrong and had missing items, or we have gone in right before lunch to find no more bagels, and told they only make a batch in the mornings and when it runs out, that's it. (This is something I have never experienced at any of the other locations we have eaten at over the years. There are ALWAYS bagels.) And several times the bagels have been sliced in a 10% vs 90% slice, and then end up burnt. It's so disappointing to get such a lack of care from a company that my family and I have frequented for many years. And honestly, when I can avoid this location, I do. My mocha latte is milk with a shot of coffee. I will NEVER eat here again. I would have rather had McDonald's than this crap! I eat at this Panera probably once a week and I have never had an unpleasant experience! I go there on my lunch break and it is so easy to get in and out as fast as I want to! It has a definite lunch rush so if you don't like crowds, maybe stay away during the 12-1 hour, but the employees handle it very well! Always clean and comfortable, and the food is as fresh and well prepared as you'd expect from a company who keeps freshness a priority. read more
