The spring rolls arrived busted open and included shrimp (which we didn't order) - when we called politely they hung up on us. - Two Vietnamese spring rolls filled with vegetables and meat are placed in a white takeout container, accompanied by a small cup of yellow dipping sauce.

After many positive visits, tonight's experience was comically horrific. My wife and daughter ordered takeout, and when they arrived home, the order was burned , incorrect (we did not order shrimp), improperly prepared (rolls bursting open; too few dumplings, etc.), and inedible. When my wife called - friendly and confused - she was hung up on. When I called, the man who answered the phone seemed like a deer caught in the headlights - unable even to give his name. He hung up and blocked my number - I went straight to voicemail for the rest of the night. Maybe this is the JV team working while the real team is on vacation? We've really enjoyed this place for a long time and it is unfortunate that tonight's experience was so ridiculous. Hopefully they will refund our $50. Ugh.

This is # 25 Vermicelli House Special. Delish. - A Vietnamese cuisine dish featuring grilled shrimp, beef, spring rolls, and vermicelli noodles served in a white bowl with a side of dipping sauce.

Very fresh ingredients! Tasty! Highly recommend! Always great service. Very Clean.

The food is good, but it's overpriced. The service was decent, and it wasn't too busy on the weekend. It was pretty quiet.

Such a clean restaurant! Spotless, every time I come - Inside Pho Town & Grill, a wall displays the restaurant's logo with a steaming bowl graphic, and there are several black dining tables and chairs.

Clean, cute and YUMMY! I absolutely adore eating here. The pho is on point. I have loved pho for years and have had it all over the country and am impressed. The recipe here is spot on. Portions are great. I highly recommend the lemongrass tofu

I have lived around the corner from this gem for two years and never knew it. The place is chill and relaxed, and the food is delicious and light. Now one of my go-to for a quick light meal.

Store Front - Pho Town's exterior features a lit sign with the restaurant's name and a logo, with a glass front showing the interior seating area.

This is the only Pho restaurant in all of Calvert County. I'm not an expert on Pho (maybe 10 times). I've had good Pho and this Pho was alright. When I visited it I had the "Pho Deluxe". This gave you the option to select 3 meats. I chose the brisket, steak, and meatballs. Ok so I have never had beef meatballs in Pho. Usually my safe choice is chicken or shrimp. They offer shrimp rolls but shrimp was not an option for a meat in the pho. . Shrimp in pho is great. When I get my bowl of pho I tried the meatball immediately. Not my favorite. I was expecting an Italian style meatball. What I got was quite different. Very rubbery. I tried to differentiate between what was brisket and what was steak but I couldn't find the difference or it was so slight I couldn't tell. My first few bites of the steak/brisket was a bit gamy tasting but after eating it a bit, the gaminess disappeared and was quite good. It puzzled me. All that being said, the noodles were really good as was the broth. I added some Thai basil leaves and bean sprouts along with some of the sriracha and ate it all (except the meatballs).

Pho Special Combo - A bowl of Vietnamese pho featuring rice noodles, slices of meat, and chopped green onions, with a side of dipping sauce and garnishes.

The customer service was okay; there weren't many customers, so the food came out fairly quickly. I started with the shrimp spring rolls and felt they were missing something, perhaps mint or basil. Next, I ordered the Pho Special Combo, and while the broth didn't have a bad flavor, I felt it was missing something and wasn't as rich as I like.

Disappointed that they removed online ordering as this was convenient and a time saver. I hope they bring it back soon!

We were seated almost immediately and we got menus and had our drinks delivered to our table quickly. We noticed that multiple servers came to our table to check on us and bring us our food so we weren't sure if we had an "assigned" server for our table. Our food arrived shortly after and the restaurant got even busier. I'm convinced this place must be popular! The food was a perfect temperature and it was tasty! So why 4 stars and not 5? Just a few things - several of the employees were coughing too much for our comfort and the other reason was because a family came in pushing a stroller and they were seated at a table where the only place they could put the stroller was on either side of the table where the stroller would be in the way. It seemed so dangerous for that family and the baby.

We have never been disappointed and everything always tastes fresh! I've tried many of their different sushi rolls and a few of their asian dishes like the general tso chicken and pineapple fried rice. They also have a great lunch special that runs from Monday to Saturday! The service is always quick despite how busy they can be and I love the variety of food they offer. Even if you don't love sushi, there's plenty of other options like ramen, chinese food, habachi (only offered on Friday to Sunday), and much more. Give it a try if you're in the area or if you're looking for great sushi!

Let me tell you, it was anything but good. We walked in with 6 people and were just pointed in a direction to grab a table. Instead of the side with tables big enough for six, we had to go where the small tables were and pull them together ourself. Then the host/server came with menus and silverware for five. We asked for one more and he said we have enough, which obviously we didn't. Since we just sat down we didn't know what we want yet so he left and didn't come back. We had to finally go find him after 10 minutes waiting. We finally ordered and didn't see him again until food was brought out. Once it came out and he asked if we needed anything, he left again while we ate and never returned to see if we need refills. Lot of us sat with empty glasses while eating until long after we finished. When food came out, all the pho bowls were luke warm. Considering how long it took it should have been hot. Only one plate of pho fixings were brought and we had to ask for more for the others. Once we tried the pho it was just barely average tasting. Better than waldorf location but still not great. The curry really surprised me. The curry sauce was poured on top and not mixed so it didn't look like much. After mixing it it seemed adequate but I would have liked a little more especially since the curry tasted good. There was a good amount of meat as well. The chicken salad was OK, but the chicken was burnt on the edges and was dry. Definitely disappointing in this. Couldn't return it since waiter disappeared til everyone was long done. Over all an extremely disappointing experience. Will suck it up amd make the drive to VA next time, even if it means waiting til next day.

THEY CHANGED OWNERS AND DID NOT ADVERTISE IT. I AM SO SO DISAPPOINTED…read more When this place first opened, it quickly became my #1 spot because it was really the only pho place in the area but it USED TO be so good! The family with the girl and boy that ran the front is not there anymore. So if you used to come here like me, I'm doing you all a favor and letting you guys know this place is TERRIBLE now that they switched owners. Not only that but much more expensive for a poor quality imitation of what this place used to be under the OLD owners. Small bowl is more than $18 now!!! Insane. I got a small bowl asked for half noodles they didn't do that and only had fatty brisket in it even though I got #11 which included also tendon and flank. YALL THIS PHO WAS COLD. The temperature was as if someone left hot tea out for 30-40 minutes. No more piping hot clear good broth, this broth from the new owners is MURKY AND BROWN and cold/lukewarm. I didn't say anything but just know I will NEVER come back its simply not worth it. Pickled onions was drowning in a weirdly sweet vinaigrette. Go elsewhere for better pho. I feel like these new people know they are not as good as the old people so they didn't tell anyone about the owner switch and are basically tricking people into coming and paying more money for worse pho riding on the coattails of a different owners reputation and I feel weirdly upset about that, like I've been tricked. If you guys used to come here all the time with the old owners then you will understand how upsetting this is. This place survived through the pandemic in the middle of PG that's how good they were. Pillar of the community just gone now. Also they won an award for being one of the best woman owned businesses but it's not woman owned anymore and the new owners haven't changed anything and they still have that sticker up even though it's not a woman owned business anymore. Like I said they are just riding the coattails of the previous owners.

It was our last day visiting fam in MD and we wanted to get some grub before the trip back to NY. There's a regular VN spot we frequent whenever we visit and it seemed to be closed so we didn't want to risk a drive out. We found Pho Tai 63 and called ahead to make sure they were open. Once that was done, we took the 20 minute drive to the restaurant and placed our order. The parking lot is SCANT. There are minimal spots. In this particular day (Black Friday), the place was packed, save for one spot and we got it. Upon entry, their dining room was full to capacity. We ordered some pho (that's all they have and I'm not mad - was a l'il disappointed at the time but we'll get to that). It too some time to get our food, much longer than expected, but I was not mad because there's definitely a reason for that. We brought every back home. Each pho dish was enough to feed two people my dad and brother ended up showing up at my sister's house the same time we got back. We had enough to feed everyone. The food is FRESH! the broths are clear and full of depth. You can make out the star anise and other herbs and spices. I split the shrimp pho with my brother since he doesn't eat meat. I got my sister the brisket pho. My son ordered the special pho and split that with my dad. Hubby also got a brisket pho and I got my daughter the chicken pho. The broths differ but each taste amazing. All of the pho came with the usual suspects: Thai basil, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce, lime and hot sauce. The accompaniments were plentiful so having extra mouths to feed worked out in our favor. My next trip south, I might have to do a taste test with both locations and see which I prefer. I wish they offered bahn mi sandos but honestly, with the caliber of pho they're dishing out, they are reigning supreme at the moment. Sometimes, it pays to focus on one thing and be REALLY good at it.

I came in craving pho, but a few TikTok videos convinced me to try the Bò Kho with noodles instead of the baguette. I started with a summer roll, and I have to say I was disappointed. I make spring rolls at home, and this one felt extremely basic. It only had vermicelli noodles, shrimp, and romaine lettuce. No cucumber, no carrots, no basil, no scallions, none of the texture or fresh flavors that usually balance a summer roll. It wasn't awful, just...flat. This was also my first time having a summer roll where I had to pick out shrimp shells as I ate it, which definitely took away from the experience. For my main dish, I ordered the Bò Kho, and the broth did not disappoint. It was rich, flavorful, and a really nice switch-up if you want something pho-adjacent but a little different. The meat was extremely tender, though the pieces were cut into long chunks, so you basically have to bite through them if you want to eat it together with the noodles. Overall, this is a cute little lunch spot if you're craving something warm and comforting. If you don't want to drive too far and just need something to take the edge off your pho craving, it's worth a try. My rating is more of a 3.7 than a 3, but for is just simply too high in my opinion. I'll be back an update my rating!

Semi-regular lunch spot for me and my office mates. Located off Allentown Road directly across…read morefrom Joint Base Andrews, Pho Viet is the only Vietnamese restaurant in this part of Prince Georges County, MD. This place exudes a very "mom and pop" feel. Conforms with the Asian ethos of featuring lots of indoor greeny from (bordering on excessive) potted plants; the display in front of the main window is impressive with several plants reaching over 10 feet high! In typical pho joint fashion, you walk in, are promptly greeted by the friendly staff, and then have open seating at any available table. My colleagues typically enjoy sitting in the "main" dining room, although there is a second area off to the right. I've had the pho and it's decent, but the underrated entree is their beef stew, aka the Bo Kho. Nowadays, I will judge a Viet place by this dish, as it involves hours of slow simmering to ensure tender pieces of beef, ultra soft carrots, and a hearty flavorful broth. Check, check and check. The "traditional" method Bo Kho is served is with a toasted French/Viet style baguette; but I usually order it with noodles (slight upcharge). Pho Viet only serves rice noodles...which is a slight bummer as I like egg noodles. Things I like about the meals here are: * Good portion size - unlike at many Viet restaurants now, the bowl of noodle soup here is generous relative to the price. The Bo Kho has lots of pieces of beef and an appropriate amount of noodles. Only slight critique is this dish could use some of the more traditional pieces of meat like soft stewed tendon for texture. * Flavor - the broth is a deep brown-ish red hue, and is thick with lot of rich "beefy" notes. Add some of the accompanying aromatics such as the Thai Basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of lime for freshness and crunch. * Value - (as of this review) the Bo Kho is $15, which is a "bargain" relatively speaking. To me, Pho Viet provides good dining value for the money. My colleagues also ordered pork cha gio for the table. It was fine and the thing of note, was the fry was not overly greasy but the nuoc mam dipping sauce was (predictably) too sweet. The majority of instances, I brown bag my lunch. But on the occaisons I want to dine away from the office, Pho Viet is a solid option. And bonus that this place accepts credit cards!!! IFYKYK
