Very disappointing experience at the Clinton, MD location tonight (6/1/26 around 8:25 PM). I am a regular customer and eat at Mezeh 3-4 times a month, but tonight was unacceptable. I ordered 2 bowls and 2 large drinks. After waiting for the lettuce to be refilled, I was served lettuce that was gritty, dirty, and appeared completely unwashed. It was so bad that I ended up throwing away an entire bowl. With all of the foodborne illness outbreaks linked to contaminated lettuce over the years, including E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria, serving dirty produce is a serious food safety concern--not just an inconvenience. To make matters worse, there were 3 employees on duty, yet the lettuce bin was allowed to run completely empty before being refilled, and none of the sodas were stocked. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this location has been out of products. As a loyal customer, I expect better. Wasting money on food that isn't fit to eat and paying for drinks when the soda station is empty is unacceptable. Management needs to address food safety, inventory management, and overall customer service at this location. read more

I ordered takeout for the family and I when we weren't up to going out for dinner. We've had Mezeh once before and figured we would try it out again since they had a BOGO deal on Uber Eats. It worked out perfectly because we didn't want to eat too much. I love how Mezeh didn't disappoint again. The food was tasty and fresh. They give you so many options too for the bowls with sides and protein. The chicken kabob is a safe choice for me too since Shane spicy chicken shawarma can be really spicy. read more

This was a great last min, first time experience. My sister and I were shopping in the plaza and she suggested we grab lunch. I said Panera and she said Mezeh. I had never tried Mezeh, but I am glad I did. The store was pretty empty, especially for lunch time. They have many options. I ordered a bowl. It was filling and very tasty. They were a bit stingy with the protein portion, worse than Chipotle. I had a lot of lettuce and rice but very little chicken. They were also light with the dressing, when I returned to the counter to get more I was told there was a few for addition dressing. The store was clean, quiet and empty. There are no TVs. They also offer organic drink options, which may not appeal to me but were cool to try out. I will be back. Next time I guess I'll have to ask for double meat. And double dressing. Food is fresh and yummy. One time they had the eggplant behind the counter and we had to request it-almost like they were hiding it (iykyk ) service is always fast and efficient. It's an assembly line style where you point and they put your food on (think subway/cava/chipotle) I get the build your own bowl it's always good and a healthier option than regular fast food. Last time my daughter ate my bowl (she's 3) so that's a plus because kids and healthy are a hard combination sometimes. If you've been to cava-it's kind of like that.... But different. Super fresh, healthy & delicious! I've had Mezah many times before and this location is on par with the rest of them. They certainly did not disappoint. The food at this location is so fresh, from the veggies to the proteins being cooked perfect....seasoned and full of flavor. I tried the Spicy Lamb Bowl and added the Chicken Shawarma for a small extra charge. Everything was perfect and so good! Both the spicy lamb and Shawarma meats were so tender and juicy. Each was unique in his own flavors and paired well with the veggies. All the ingredients in my bowl were fresh. The sauces were delicious too. Between the value and healthy options available, you can't go wrong with this place. You can choose one of the standard menu bowls....or build your own bowl with the things you want as a bowl or pita. The food is tasty, the portion was good...actually more than enough for one person. The staff is friendly as well. As for the store location itself, it was very clean with lots of seating options. The place was quiet when I arrived and six persons behind me on my way out. It didn't take long to fill the order and the open kitchen with everyone doing something was a pleasant sight to behold. No shade to the Golden Arches or the Lil red-headed girl or the Colonel but Mezeh has been my go-to fast-food joint for almost 2 years. Y'all know I'm a creature of habit so the same ole salad I've been getting has suddenly gotten SMALLER and super sloppy. What are the chances of me getting a disgruntled employee three times in a row?!?! Didn't wanna give up on Mezeh so I tried the gyro. The first one last week was GOODT (warm pita, neat and decent amount of veggie-sauce-meat ratio). Sad to report my second one, this week, kicked rocks. It was SLOPPY, not enough shredded lamb, too much lettuce and how in the H*** can you ruin a pita like this? I didn't eat it b/c the foil even looked suspect ... like it was a return/re-sale. They just opened one of these up in Clinton and it's pretty good. Other reviews state they don't have the full Mezeh menu but they had everything I wanted when I ordered through Uber Eats. What I like about Mezeh vs. CAVA is the fact that the flavors, when combined, aren't as intense and in contrast with one another. I also like the cuts of chicken better. Mezeh is a fast casual restaurant that offers customizable Mediterranean fare. You can order your meal as a bowl, pita, or Flatbread, just to name a few. At the time of this review, it is still fairly new. In terms of how you order, think Chipotle but with Mediterranean instead! Positives: -Fresh ingredients with lots of variety for toppings -Fast prep time for in-person or online orders -Nice decor with spacious seating area (appears clean, though I haven't eaten there) -Their beverages are tasty- nice and refreshing! Things to improve: -Dressing on the side for bowls-For online orders, you can't easily request dressing on the side for bowls. You can for pitas. This means if you want to save (or later reheat) your bowl, the dressing will already be mixed in. That's not ideal. -Vibes- Customer service is not consistent. Some folks are pleasant while others are impatient. None of my visits have ever been busy (i.e. long lines of customer), so a bit of staff patience goes a long way, especially for first-time visitors. TLDR: Overall, Mezeh is a nice, healthier option for meals on the go. I'd give it a 3.5. Rounding up because it's a great addition to the area! read more

I do think the person helping me could have done a better job in discussing what the ingredients are, but he was friendly all the same. I stopped by for dinner. There was no line which was convenient. I was greeted and served as soon as I arrived. The place is clean and well lit. I got a bowl with salad, basmati rice, lamb, and a plethora of toppings. There are several options for vegetarians. I topped my bowl off with black olives, feta cheese, roasted corn, and purple cabbage. I also got the berry watermelon drink. I really enjoyed the taste of this one over the other! It was nice to eat at Mezeh again. It's been years since I've tried them which was in Annapolis Mall but now they are closer. Yay me. The location is convenient and a lot of parking is available. The restaurant is a decent size. Service was fine. They have a-lot of options to create a bowl. Proteins (chicken, lamb, falafel), salad (kale, mixed greens), rice, couscous, etc. They have several toppings and hummus. A range of dressings to enjoy. Your bowl also comes with pita bread. Super excited for this location to open, more food options closer to base is always a plus when it's time to figure out what lunch will be. I typically love Mezeh & Cava but this place just doesn't do it for me. They're missing a few of the standard menu items and the consistency is off. The pita dough for all 3 orders was not fully cooked and tasted very pasty. If you order the chicken shawarma expect lots of liquid with your order. If that's what you like, cool but it should be an option to add on if so. Unlike other locations, they don't use a slotted spoon or tongs to grab the meat so you get a lot of liquid pooling at the bottom of your bowl. And your salad soaked in meat juice. They falafel was hard and bland & the lamb was cold. The container was full so it was most likely the first batch that had been made that morning or had atleast been sitting for more than an hour. It's a great healthy option for this community, however, they need some customer service improvements and better ways to portion control. They used a freaking baby spoon to add the items to my bowl. So I don't have a picture to show because I already ate the food but since my very first visit the staff has gotten better they're more attentive to the customers. The service is 100% great if it's busy you are going to wait a couple of minutes, but besides that the staff really get to you to look in style inside the Mezeh is a nice industrial style overall everything is great now wanted to go ahead and update my review because so much has changed including the ambience, it's just better now. read more

I have been waiting for this branch to open close by. I love Mezeh very much, this is my go to whenever I am in Capitol Heights area. Unfortunately, the one in Clinton doesn't seem to offer the same things. They are missing the bulgur (rice) and the cucumber salad. I walked in to this establishment with no customers inside. The cook sees me walk in and continues his conversation with his coworker who is cutting cucumbers, while the third coworker is taking pictures of whatever papers on her phone. I was not greeted until about a minute and a half. I ask for a menu and was told to go onto the website to order. This is as dumb as it gets for a restaurant! Why would you have an entire establishment that does not cater to patrons waking in to order. One employee showed patience and decent conflict resolution when a customer complained about her service to her. The customer was on the phone talking to someone while the employee was waiting to take her order. I came in and the employee greeted me. I said I just wanted to get a drink so she helped me real quick. As soon as I was done paying for my drink the lady on the phone told whoever she was on the phone with to hold on and asked the employee "Did you just cut me off to help her?" She then proceeded to walk closer to the register to confront the employee working the line and was talking about how she was talking to her the whole time because the person hung up and called back (there was clearly someone still on the line with her and she waited until after I was finished to say she was ordering). The employee didn't argue with her she simply told her she heard her tell her to hold on while she was on the phone. The lady left saying she would report this establishment with whatever information she was assumed to have. The workers didn't argue with anyone, they didn't make a huge scene after she left and as other customers came in, they continued to go about their business. The food is good. The store is clean. I wish there were menus available. I don't think it is a good idea to make menus dependent on you having your phone. I could forget mine or just not have one. If this location gets busier it could slow things down. Also, you have to repeat yourself when ordering. Which isn't good in my opinion when speaking over food without a mask. I ordered the family pack the first time eating from this location. I thought it was a good deal. However, I don't like that I have to order it online and can't order it in the store.
