I ordered the Vibrant Vegan bowl with falafel, brown basmati rice, lentils, tabbouleh, hummus, pickled onions, cabbage slaw, and lemon garlic sauce. Every ingredient tasted fresh and intentional. The falafel had a perfect crisp exterior while staying soft and herbaceous inside, and the lemon garlic sauce tied everything together beautifully. As someone who loves Cava, this immediately gave me that same customizable Mediterranean experience -- but honestly, this bowl held its own. Was staying at one of the nearby hotels, so we swung in for lunch! The space has lots of seating for small and medium groups! A fast casual spot, you get to choose from a pre-set choice or build your own Mediterranean entree. Bowl, pita, or salad...with tons of topping and sauce options to choose from. They were a bit understaffed for the lunch rush, so it was a bit longer of a wait than it should have been, in my opinion. I built my own rice bowl on this visit, which included chicken, veggies, hummus, and a few other random goodies! It was super yummy and came served up with a side pita. We needed a late snack and didn't want to sit Down and eat. So we walked down and grabbed a bowl. I think they were short staffed, as it was only 3 people working and they were very busy. They handled it though. I got a Jr. bowl, create your own. Cilantro rice, chicken, beets. Spicy cilantro,olives and honey Balsamic. It was very good. Oh and crispy Pita chips. This was a good place with lots of options. On a Saturday night during the summer season, there weren't many people inside. Ingredients are very fresh and tasty. I should say the only major downside is that when me and my friend both ordered the same bowl (Mezeh Classic) separately with different workers, we were given different bowls with slightly different ingredients. Mezeh has the same concept as Cava, a Mediterranean Chipotle, but with some variance in meats and toppings! I decided to build my own bowl. What stood out to me the most were the crunchy chickpeas toppings which were delicious. Wish I asked for more of that. I also appreciated that your portions for each item added weren't limited besides meat of course. They also give you a free pita on the side if you get a bowl. The server happily answered my questions, which is much appreciated. Service is quick and efficient. Note, the ventilation isn't super thorough so expect to smell like grilled meat if you decide to dine in. It's a casual eatery. This location is clean and modern. We got to Mezeh when they first opened, so everything was fresh. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean with a good amount of seating. They offer 2 size bowls. We ordered the regular size which has unlimited toppings. The small bowl has 5 toppings max. I got grains and greens. It was a small upcharge because I wanted the greens on the side. I can't finish a bowl in one sitting, the lettuce gets weird if it's reheated. So on the side is how I prefer to get it. I got chicken and lots of different veggies, hummus , and sauces. The meats have an upcharge if it's not chicken. It also came with a pita bread. For about $14 my bowl was a good portion. The food tasted fresh and I liked the hummus and sauces. Very tasty. Four stars in general, but 5 stars for serving healthy and light fare in National Harbor where good, fast food is hard to find. We do a staycation a few times a year in National Harbor and we have to figure out how to feed a family of 6-7 ranging from a 7-year-old to a 70-year old. I also really can't stand eating heavily-processed, overly-salted food. This has good greens, good meat, and mostly fresh ingredients. You can get a bowl or a wrap or a flatbread pizza. I really like it. To be honest, the only downsides are (a) it can be hard to bring food back to somebody because so much of ordering is by pointing at ingredients as you go through the like, (b) my son really didn't like the pizza because even the plain pizza had herbs and tomatoes on, and (c) this might have been a fluke, but it was freezing inside when we went. I've ordered here a few times through UberEats. I've never been inside of the restaurant, simply because I don't want to pay for parking at the Harbor. However, the National Harbor is a beautiful place and it's nice to have offerings fairly priced within the area. Now as far as my food review goes, I have always been please with my purchase. I'd say it comparable to other Mezeh locations I've been to in the area. I can't speak about the service, since I've never actually dined in. But I will say my food is always to my liking, that I happen to find myself ordering often enough. read more

Mezeh is great for a quick, light bite in National Harbor. I went with 2 friends and we all ordered the make-your-own bowl with half/half meat. Like Cava or Naf-Naf Grill or Chipotle, you can add a bunch of different toppings which was great. The lamb kefta and steak shawarma were bland so ask for lots of sauce. We paid in order, but 2 of us were charged about $14, but the last person was charged $21! They claimed they gave her more meat (note: their meat portions are very small) when she didn't ask for double meat--Sadly the meat portion looked the same as the other bowls. read more

Great service and delicious food and well worth a stop for a busy weekend while on the island. I made it before the lunch rush on a busy Saturday and despite ordering for 3 people the process was painless. While I waited for my hotel roommates to figure out their orders, I got a large drink for 3 dollars and the free refills helped me get the caffeine I needed to stay awake until 4 AM while volunteering with no issue. I was able to get 2 meals out of 1 bowl and I would suggest only roasted or pickled vegetables with a protein (I got my usual shredded lamb) to make sure nothing gets soggy. My bowl was good for the rest of the day to snack on. I really enjoy Mezeh and this location did not disappoint, I will be back when I visit the island without question. read more

My first time in this nice Mediterranean restaurant. I am looking for some new things in my reviews and one is keto friendly food and vegan options along with my usual review of the food, staff, menu, facilities. Food-delicious! I had seen on the website that they had a bowl with close to what I ordered. We went there for the bowl on website but it was build your own. Ok, still workable. Base-baby spinach, romaine lettuce, arugula, next chicken-I got the hot spicy chicken (mild had big chunks of onions and I can't eat onions-that was disappointing to not get the kabob flavor). The chicken lived up to its word and was spicy enough to require the feta cheese to balance out the flavor. The two hummus were spicy and plain and both delicious. I can say the bowl was more than I could eat in one sitting. 4/5 for food only because nearly everything had onions!! The restaurant was empty so we had our pick of seats and got a table/booth. The tables were clean and the restroom clean. It was quiet and relaxing. But bring milk for the spicy chicken:-). 5/5 for cleanliness, restroom clean and no overbearing loud music playing. Thank you . The fruit juice was an absolute amazing bonus for me. Tried all 4 & all great. I particularly like the far right one with turmeric, mandarin? Came by Mezeh Mediterranean Grill for a quick lunch while walking around the waterfront. The first thing I noticed was that there were no prices on the menu, and it seemed like several others were confused as well. I asked the staff how much a bowl cost, but they didn't seem to speak fluent English or know off the top of their head. Despite everything, the staff was very nice and helpful but be prepared for some complications when ordering. Tip: I added a photo of the menu with the prices for anyone having difficulties finding it as I did. Hope it helps!! I ordered the greens & grains bowl with chicken shawarma (~$11.35) and overall, it was pretty good. They give decently big portions and it's about what you can expect from a good Mediterranean bowl. The toppings also add a nice variety of flavors and textures depending on what you get. My personal favorites were the roasted corn, pickled onions, and spicy hummus.  In short, I recommend going to Mezeh if you want to grab a quick & satisfying meal at a great value. Great spot for a healthy light evening meal after our substantial lunch. It was very crowded but the line moved quickly. They were out of several items. They had no pita bread only chips and several salad items were gone. I enjoyed my mixed green salad with kabob chicken,Tabouli ,cucumbers and chickpeas with a nice tzatziki sauce. I was visiting National Harbor for work and personal events and I was determined to have some Mezeh while there. This location never misses. I ordered a custom bowl and when I tell you I cleaned my plate, I did. I live in Florida and the area I live in doesn't have a Mezeh location. The restaurant is always clean and quiet, even when busy. The staff is attentive and my food is always fresh and prepared well. Went there for lunch today. Had to park 2 streets away but a good walk that I needed. Was the perfect food to break my fast. I ordered the bowl with half spicy lamb meatballs and half chicken. With brown rice, , spinach, all of the hummus', tzatziki, pickled veggies that you could put in there. The service was quick and fast because it wasn't busy. But why do the workers always act like they are skimpy on serving the meat proteins. Fill it up! These fast casual places like this really never miss and this one was good today. I have mixed reviews on Mezeh. My food was good and I did read on yelp before hand that it is similar to a chipotle where you move down the line and add items to your bowl. However, I was thrown when I went in and there wasn't even a menu on the wall nor were prices listed anywhere. When the girl asked me what I wanted I had told her it was my first time there and asked how I begin. She didn't even bother to take 5 seconds to explain. She told me to scan the QR code and look for myself. Really?! I did that because I wanted to order but honestly I won't be returning because of the poor customer service. This was a carryout order, so I can't speak to what the parking situation may usually be, I was dropped & picked up at the door, so it was a fast process for me! Amazing location, right on the waterfront. There is covered outdoor seating in front, and seating indoors as well. I think the easy analogy is Greek/Mediterranean Chipotle? haha In my opinion it may be a bit higher quality than Chipotle actually, but that could be subjective. The takeaway is fast, customizable bowls, wraps and the like. I placed the order in advance online the night before for a set pick-up time on Saturday afternoon. I really appreciated being able to do this as it was a large order for 8 people and that was a lot of customization to do properly. The order was ready on time and all I had to do was go to the cash register, where I was helped immediately. All the orders were correct and most importantly in the bags! I love me some Mezeh. The National Harbor location has been around a while, and I get to stop in there on the rare occasion that I'm actually in the area. There is plenty of space to eat inside, and the line has never gotten too obnoxious in my experience. Though, most of the time I order through the app. The quality of the food is as great as it is everywhere else -- if I don't have my caramelized eggplants I feel like I'm doing something wrong! They did change up the juices, which upsets me to this day -- the Power Berry was easily the best. But what they do have is still good. I hope Mezeh continues to do well, because quite frankly -- I don't know what I'd do without them at this point! read more

The traditional chicken shawarma wrap was fresh and flavorful. I asked them to make it as spicy as this could which for most other places is a problem. No issue here. The mango spicy sauce and a side of their spiciest sauce were very spicy and perfect. The baklava came two in a pack with a chocolate option and they were bother very good. If I was going to be picky I would say the standard baklava needed more honey drizzled on top but the chocolate version was so good, it wasn't a big issue. Server was professional and friendly. This Mezeh location in National Harbor is quite slow. I come here as a stop for my cycling route to refuel pretty frequently. I used to use their app, but now I order in person so I can tell them exactly what I want. Last time I went was 8/23/22 and they were out of pita bread and roasted eggplants in the morning! :( I prefer mezeh over cava bc I think there is a bigger variety and I really like the roasted eggplants. They have a code to the restroom on your receipt. It is not a short code! read more

Food is okay...service needs to improved and workers need to be properly trained, specially the short dude with the tattoos. If I ask for cheese on a corner or on the side for allergies, does not mean that you can throw it in all over the bowl. When I tell the guy he says that it's the same thing as if it goes on the side. I recently attended a conference at the Gaylord National Resort. Before coming to town, we looked up restaurants in the area to try and find some semi-healthy options. We love Mediterranean food and were excited to try Mezah. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The air conditioning was out, the ice machine didn't work, and the bathroom was closed. They were out of several ingredients on the menu and gave me the wrong dressing for my salad. Speaking of my salad, the portion sizes were very small. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the flavors of the ingredients they did have were good. Either way, with all of the other options in the area, I don't recommend Mezah. read more
