This was my first time visiting Jon's Joint, and we had such a great experience at their newest location in Alexandria. My girlfriends and I ordered several items so we could try a little bit of everything. I had heard they had some of the best smash burgers around, and they did not disappoint. I also loved finding out that everything is halal. We tried the OKC Burger, Patty Melt, Juicy Lucy, Swiss Mushroom Burger, classic burger, grilled chicken, fried chicken, and loaded fries with both chicken and beef. Everything was delicious, but our favorites were the Swiss Mushroom Burger, Patty Melt, and Juicy Lucy. The Swiss Mushroom Burger was the winner for me. We also loved the chicken and the sauce, which had a nice kick to it. The lychee drink was our favorite, followed by the lemon. We also tried the mango and Oreo shakes. The Oreo shake was a little too sweet for us, but it would be perfect for someone with a serious sweet tooth. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and quiet enough for us to sit and catch up. There is also a fun arcade game in the back. Abdul, the manager, was amazing and incredibly helpful, and Brandon was wonderful as well. We are already planning our next visit, and several of our friends want to try Jon's Joint after seeing our photos. Definitely a great spot for burgers, chicken, loaded fries, and shakes! read more

Ordered pickup through an app after hearing g some good things online. Immediately when walking in I noticed that some menu items are nearly 50% lower in store than they were on the app- the average tends to be 20% or less so this immediately turned me off a little. I was early to pick up my food and it was ready within a few moments. First opened item was chicken sandwich, which was clearly packed the second it came out of the fryer. I'd much rather have waited a few more minutes for my food than have opened a soggy cut of meat that was entirely stuck to the wrapper. I got charged $1.50 for cheese that I had to scrape off tinfoil paper. That being said, the chicken was quality, a large portion and a nice thin cutlet. Had it not been mush due to it being packaged too soon, it probably would have been fantastic. Next up was a patty melt which I had high expectations for. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I could tell they use quality meat but my burger was dry and bland. Cheese fries were sadly the star of the show and the item with the almost 50% markup from in store to the app. I asked for them well done and they were a 10/10 - however, once again they must have been put into a plastic takeout container the very second they came out of the fryer. The entire container was melted and warped. You can definitely get the sense the family who owns this chain cares about their product- but definitely some room for improvement! When I saw that Jon's Joint was opening in Alexandria, I had to check it out. This location is located on Richmond Highway. The staff are very friendly and the service was quick. I ordered the juicy Lucy single burger combo which comes with a drink and fries. The burger was well seasoned. The fries are the straight cut fries. I couldn't even finish the fries with the amount that they serve. read more

Thanks to Marisol D's review, I found out about the new Jon's Joint. I've been here twice now. The first time here, I was wowed by my smash burger (Jon's Classic). At first bite, I thought, where before have I experienced this tasty special sauce? I then realized it was at iconic Dick's in Seattle, where I used to live. Dick's was the go-to burger place in Seattle. I'm thinking, I love Jon's Classic burger! I also got the basic fries. For $4.50 you get a huge bag of fries, and I mean huge. The fries are decent. On the condiments stand, there are about 5 or 6 different kind of sauces in squirt bottles that you can use for your fries. Jon's also packs one or two little containers of sauce in with your fries. I came back a second time this past weekend and was a little disappointed. The Jon's special sauce on the burger was gone and replaced with just a heavy smear of mayo. Also this time, the sauces packed with the fries were a different kind than on my first visit. Granted that Jon's right now is operating under a soft opening (they don't open until 2pm) and they are getting the kinks out, I'd hope they focus on consistency. The four stars are for the fact that Jon has shown they're capable of creating a great burger. Service both times was cordial, quick and efficient. read more

I love a good burger and Jon's Joint did not disappoint. The burger was so delicious, the fries were amazing, and they were very generous with the portion. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I love how the restaurant is decorated, it's very retro and nostalgic. All in all, it was quite pricey, but it was delicious so I plan on returning. read more

Really on the fence here. I had a TikTok of theirs pop up so decided to go since it was close to home. My burger buns were soggy and the fries even soggier. The jalapeño burger would be nice if maybe the grilled them instead of just throwing ones from a can on the burger. The combo meal amd and extra burger for 2 people was about $30 so not too bad compared to other reaturants in the area. I would look into different fries because they had zero flavor and were soggy. Service was fats and place waa busy. Nice to amhave a new burger join in the area thay isn't a 5 guy's. read more

The food was not as advertised. The price point for the food was unrealistic. These burgers were worst than McDonald's McDouble which are $2.50 btw. I rarely go out for burgers anymore since the price of beef spiked. When I'm in the mood, I head over to Fresh World; they go through a lot of huge cuts of beef and when they're close to expiration date, they get ground up. You can usually get decent ground beef there for under $2 a pound. My oldest was in town to pick up his retainer and said he was in the mood for a burger, so I'd been meaning to check this place out. Spotless interior and they've got a Mortal Combat arcade cabinet in the back. The latest movies are playing on the widescreen tv. Ordered the #1 Jon's Double: prime-cut, butchered halal brisket & chuck blend, smashed fresh with American cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Jon's Sauce. The kid got a regular double bacon burger and an Oreo milkshake. For what you'd pay for a Five Guys Double you're getting something that tastes better and doesn't look like it was stepped on. Decent amount of crust on the smashburger, toppings were fresh, meat was moist but not greasy. The bacon was cut pretty thick so unless you've got sharp teeth, you're going to pull it out of the bun. Nice and smokey though. Probably one of the better burgers I've had in the area; Bun Poppa's does a solid burger, but they're not smashed. Would recommend. read more

Went for the first time yesterday. As an alternative to Smash Burger in kingstowne, this place is great. It wasn't overly busy and it only took about 5 minutes to get our food. The burgers were perfectly cooked and the fries were better than Five Guys. I loved the aioli dipping sauces for the fries as well. My only criticism is the place was a tad pricey, but so is all fast food nowadays apparently. We'll be back soon. read more
