The toasts and juices here are amazing. For the juice in a glass bottle, i did the one with Mango, Pineapple and Spinach. For the toast, i'm glad i went for the Smoked Salmon on GF bread... it was beyond AMAZING!

We were walking around Oldtown looking for a quick bite and a coffee and saw Toastique, it was just what we were looking for. I love a restaurant that specializes and doesn't try to do too much. Toastique has a regular and seasonal selection of toasts, smoothies and bowls and coffees...perfect amount of options without overwhelming diners or venturing into too many categories. Counter service with self serve regular coffee or you can order a speciality coffee. We ordered the burrata toast with crab and a smoked salmon toast. Each toast is served on either sourdough, multigrain or rustic bread or you can choose. Beautifully presented on a board with their "gold" service set, although it was almost too pretty to eat. I love a casual place that offers a quick meal with an elevated experience. Happy we stumbled upon it and will return!

I discovered this and loved it as a quick little spot to grab something healthy after a workout class. I love that they gave me a samples of the fresh juices because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. The staff has always been really nice and patient at the store and all of the ingredients are incredibly fresh. It's hit or miss whether or not it is busy in there but it's great for grab and go. It is a bit pricey that's why I gave it. Four stars

3 Cheese Italian Toast with an egg

Definitely an elevated toast breakfast. Nice little shop with a few table inside. Staff is friendly and helpful. Took a little longer to get our order than expected but not a crazy long wait and honestly worth the wait. Wife and I got the same thing. 3 cheese Italian toast with an added egg. Very substantial slice of avocado toast loaded with flavor. Maybe the only thing I found issue with was the prosciutto was extremely salty.... Seemed more salty than I've had in the past but if eaten together with the rest of the toast (as intended) was a very good balance. Why the 4 stars? The young lady that took our order said I wasn't allowed to leave a tip with my credit card because they aren't allowed to keep tips and didn't have a tip jar either. Only tips handed to them were they allowed to keep. Not sure if that's a company policy but if so needs to change. Otherwise a great alternative to a big sit down breakfast. Oh and their smoothies are pretty darn good as well.

This is my first time visiting Toastique, after a friend's recommendation. The place is clean, well-lit and bright. I enjoyed the quick service at lunch hour. The food presentation was beautiful, looking like a piece of art. In addition to pretty food, it tasted great.

I went to this location on a Sunday morning. It was more crowded than I anticipated it would be. I guess this is where the healthy brunch crowd must come to eat. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready. The service was good and the employees were helpful. Superfruit Smoothie: 10/10. It pretty much tasted like an açaí bowl. The main ingredients in the smoothie or açai and strawberry. I did appreciate that the smoothie was not too sweet and didn't seem to have much added sugars. Avocado Smash Toast: 9.5/10. I got the avocado smash toast with a hard boiled egg on top. The egg was sliced and placed on top of the other items. The toast was great. However, because the egg was sliced on top the toppings were sliding everywhere as I was trying to eat the toast. It made for a messy eating experience. However, that didn't take away from the flavor!

So I did not believe that a piece of toast would fill me . I stay humbled and wrong. I got the peach , prosciutto toast. This had burrata, flake salt, arugula, hot honey and balsamic glaze. This was packed with flavor and the peach smoothie I had with it on this hot day was saving my life while making me feel healthy for the doughnuts I will be devouring later lol . This was just as beautiful as the venue with very prompt and polite service.

Loved it!! Looking for a healthy option and not too filling? This is it! Was visiting from Cali and wanted something light yet yummy. Had the smoked salmon toast and it was delish!! Had the seasonal watermelon juice with ginger and lime... I'd like more ginger in my drinks but still good

Clean, refreshing, basic with slight twist. It's mostly a deep breath of "I'm here to feed my body a clean snack and drink." They have several cold press juices. They are all blended with fruits and veggies. I've tried almost all of them and the metabolize is my favorite. Another items that's enchanting, and after several weeks later I'm still think about it, is that avocado toast. Basic, I know. I mentioned that but LOOK! It is as delicious as it is gorgeous. I had coffee here. Regular shhmegular." Volcán coffee a few blocks down is better for coffee. Don't slip the avocado toast tho!

I popped into this place and I immediately felt revived. The ambiance is clean, fresh vibes with hip music playing in the background. The have a variety of juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and açaí bowls to choose from. I tried the Matcha bowl with spinach base, topped with fresh dates, granola, honey, strawberry, pineapple, cacoa nibs, etc... it was delicious. I would love to try other bowls and sandwiches. Service was quick & with a smile. Highly recommend

I'm starting a Mediterranean diet which holds avocado heavily as a food to eat in most meals. So I was looking for a local place that served avocado toast. I love the concept and tried the smash toast with egg (hard boiled). Pretty tasty but a bit overpriced. I placed my order over the phone and was serviced really quickly. By the time I arrived everything was ready for pick up. The ambiance is really aesthetic as well. It's a nice addition to Alexandria.

Stopped by after walking 3 miles and tried the Recharge cold pressed juice (beet, carrot, apple, orange, ginger) and it was great. Super clean and staff is very friendly.

She then continued to make a snide comment on the number of drinks we were ordering - what's with the passive aggressiveness? I didn't know that there was some rule that each person was required to order something. Like, are you okay? I just had a bad feeling about all of this, and we should have just walked out instead of giving our money to support this business - to add to it all, the coffees that we did receive (latte with soy milk, and the mocha) were just poorly made and not strong at all; they were both watered down and bitter at the same time... come on! UGH, the regret, but it was a choice. Shame on you, Via Volcán! You might want to heavily reconsider who you employ and train them better - this individual is really hurting your business! We each ordered a traditional Turkish coffee and an assortment of baklava to share. Grabbed a table near the windows and our coffee was brought to us quickly. The coffee is presented on a beautiful platter and with complimentary Turkish delights. They were soft, chewy, and a bit perfume-y. Felt like a tea party but in Turkey! We walked in and were blessed to immediately get a table despite being told it may be an hour wait on the phone. We received a menu and ordered the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Our food came extremely fast which surprised me and makes me wonder how much is prepped ahead. My friend received the burrito and it was very greasy so she requested to order something else. My biscuits and gravy were yummy. The eggs were cooked well and the fried chicken was the star of the show. Easily this was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. I overall enjoyed my meal but I wish there was way more gravy as there was only a little bit layered on top of the 2 biscuits. My friend was given a menu to order something else and this menu was different and had dinner options. It was 4:30 when we came and not more than 15 minutes of difference before receiving a menu the second time so we were surprised but eager to look. My friend ordered the half chicken which came with collard greens and grits. Since there was a different menu I wasn't aware of I wanted to order something additional and opted for saving the brunch meal I ordered for breakfast tomorrow. I loveeee scallops so when I seen them on the menu especially over grits I had to order it. The scallops were cooked wonderfully and I loved the composition of the dish with the creamy grits and the acid from the tomatoes and the smokiness of the sauce and grits. My friend loved the half chicken and after trying it myself we both agreed Matt and Tony's knows how to cook chicken well. The greens had nice flavor but were a little dry and needed some broth/juice from cooking. Again the grits were delicious and creamy with a bit of smoky flavor. I also had the Peso Cocktail which was sweet with a nice kick. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would come again and absolute what I ordered again as well. Coming here next time will be hard cause I'm definitely going to be battling between wanting what I already had and trying something new.
