These cookies are delicious. I'm still very much in awe that they are vegan! They are priced beyond fair. The inside of shop is pretty basic. But none of that matters with cookies so good! Lastly, they keep the cookies warm so that's a HUGE PLUS! This review is more specifically to recognize the customer service of Eli. He was very helpful in helping me choose my selection. He was very patient with me. And his friendly service should be recognized! Thank you Eli. I'll be back to try one of the beverages soon!
Stumbled across this place with a quick Google search of a sugar craving, and I am not disappointed at all. As soon as you walk in the smell of every divine item that is being baked in that facility, let you know right away that you will enjoy whatever you purchase. The customer service was very simple, but very patient with me as I took my time to make my decision. I will definitely be returning and recommend if you're in the area to give them a try. We got the combo pack 4 regular cookies and 2 of the monster cookies. The regular cookies were awesome! Hot, warm, crispy, and delicious. The monster cookies were just okay. They were almost too big, they were room temp, and crumbled easily. I would definitely recommend the regular cookies! We got fudge brownie, red velvet, cookies and creme, and chocolate chip. The monster cookies were double chocolate chip and hot cocoa. The price is pretty high for cookies, it cost almost 20 dollars for 6 of these cookies. The regular ones were very good warm. They didn't reheat the best. The looks of this place was incredible! Black lights and neon vibes everywhere. The service was great, nice guy at the register and broke down all of the cookies and best deals.
I a sucker for a good warm cookie!! Thus place did not disappoint . It's along king st in old town, Alexandria, Virginia. It's a little shop with a big sweet tooth I enjoyed the deep chocolate chip cookie!! The service was polite and the establishment cute.

I had a late night sweet tooth, and this shop hit the spot. They were the perfect consistency: crispy on the outside soft on the inside. They sell day old cookies at a steep discount that taste just as good as the freshly baked ones.
Aside from the adorable decor and amazing vibe of this place the cookies are so good. I got the Dunkaroo and brownie - amazing! My friend got cinnamon roll, and cookies and crème. The box has reheating instructions on them if you want them leftover just how they came- warm and perfect. I didn't even realize these were vegan (I'm not vegan I came in solely while walking by and seeing the Mario ghost :) ) and they're so good. They give back to community in many ways and practice sustainability. An amazing business to support!
MidnighTreats is a yummy new cookie joint in Old Town. Stopped in on a whim when we were thinking ice cream from Casa Rosada, but they were packed and my husband saw the sign for this business and said how about cookies instead? They offer huge thick cookies and traditional sized cookies. We elected for the larger cookies and loved all four flavors we tried. They offer boba drinks as well. We ordered the oatmilk tea with brown sugar boba and just oatmilk with brown sugar boba. Both were good. Would definitely come back. Thanks!
Cookies are pretty good, but insanely expensive. I like the brownie the best, and also the birthday cake. They last pretty well if you keep in fridge, or can even freeze and defrost later. I appreciate having a vegan option in the area, but definitely force yourself to cut these in half! If you saw the calorie count, you'd probably not want to come back, so don't look haha are they worth it? Probably not, but maybe for just an every once in a while treat.

The cookies were delicious thought. We had the brownie, chocolate chip, cinnamon bun and the cosmic brownie. The girl working (didn't catch her name) was very friendly. Great customer service! It was empty inside but cute. We took lots of photos. I also liked that they have a "leftover" section where you can get a little discount on (I'm assuming) day old cookies! I thought that was cool. It looks like they also give back which is a nice change. Overall, we would love to return! A nice addition to old town IMO.

Eh, I found this place to be just okay. The inside is small with some neon lights. Late on a Saturday night, there's a mix of regular folks, parents with small children getting a weekend treat, and folks with the munchies who just *have* to have a cookie. Biggest complaint - there are several TV screens, but only one has pricing, one has drinks, and the other was just random shots of stuff they sometimes have. I wish one of them had "current cookie offerings" (it rotates) because otherwise, you have to wait until you get to the front of the line to see what there is, and then people are waiting for you to make up your mind. It just added pressure to what is supposed to be an enjoyable cookie experience. It's not a cheap place (it's a bougie dessert place in NoVa; what do you expect?), but the monster cookies are large and filling and easy to share. We got a half dozen for our family of 5 and that was plenty. We even got an Oat Milk brown sugar tea - it was fine. The whole place is vegan, which does add to the price point, but if that matters to you, this is a good place to get your cookie on. That said, I don't know if it was the lack of egg, or that the Monsters were under-baked, but I found those large cookies just heavy. The two I will vouch for were the chocolate chip (classic, can't beat it), and the cinnamon roll - I kept coming back to that one. The rest were pretty meh. Service was okay. We had to wait for the next batch of chocolate chip cookies to come out of the oven. I get it, though it took longer than estimated. The weird part was, in the whole time we were sitting waiting (and everyone else had ordered), the clerk handed me my half dozen box and I had to remind her of our drink. Sweet, but spacey. In the end, if you like fancy cookies and/or vegan sweet treats, you might want to give this place a try. Otherwise, you can get plenty of other desserts along King Street. read more

If you're a true sweets lover, Midnightreats is absolutely worth the stop. These are not your light, airy, grab-and-go cookies. They are thick, dense, warm, and very indulgent. The kind where one cookie can easily be shared (or not lol ). They're rich and sweet, so if you're someone who loves a heavy dessert that feels like a treat-treat, you'll be in heaven. Easily a 10/10 for that category. What really stood out to me was the variety of flavors. I tried the strawberry matcha cookie and was honestly surprised by how much I liked it. It had a really nice balance of flavors and didn't feel gimmicky at all. It's always a risk trying something a little different, but this one definitely paid off. Another thing I appreciated was that they had a section of cookies discounted because they were made the night before. I love when places do this...it's a great way to try more flavors without spending a lot, and honestly, the cookies were still really good. Service-wise, the cashier was super helpful and patient, especially when it came to explaining flavors and giving recommendations. That always makes a difference when you're staring at a case full of options and can't decide. read more

Um...wow. First off, they serve their cookies warm. If you're a cookie fan you know how important this is. The brownie cookie (regular size) was perfect and the birthday bash (big cookie) was so tasty. Unlike some other bakeries, the large cookie here is VERY moist and isn't too "cake-like". Customer service was nice and the smell of the bakery makes you want to buy every cookie. I had never been here before today, but I'll definitely be visiting again! read more

The Alexandria location of Midnight Treats just opened. For those not familiar with the business, they serve 1/3rd-pound plant-based cookies made only with dairy, egg, peanut, and tree nut free (except coconut), according to the company. Think of Crumbl, but vegan and not nearly as sweet. These cookies are HUGE. It's almost like eating a piece of cake. They advertise 1/2 a cookie is a full serving...but who takes those recommendations anyway?!? The location is in the former space of Fleurir Chocolates. I'm happy to see a similar-themed business take over the space! It's strictly take-out. I visited and got a classic oatmeal, which I quickly devoured. It was a bit on the dry side, but still delicious. Vegan cookies are new to me, but I'm willing to explore their options. read more
I couldn't wait for this place to open up, and the hype was worth it! Sometimes, you just want a really good cookie and now there's a place to get it in Old Town. They have a line-up of original cookies that are always available, and different rotating special flavors. On my first visit, I figured I needed to try an original flavor and picked the Birthday Bash. It was SO good! The perfect bit of sturdiness on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor was just everything I hoped for in this cookie and it delivered. They also have a whole selection of milk teas which I want to come back to try. read more

Upon looking for a dessert spot in VA, I stumbled upon MidnighTreats in Old Towne Alexandria. The store is soooo unique and vibrant! Definitely giving midnight vibes but cool in the daytime. Clean, colorful and fun atmosphere. There's a variety of cookies to pick and I like the fact that there's different sizes and thickness to choose from. Also, they even have discounted cookies so instead of trashing them daily, they offer yesterday's cookies for a lower price (so smart). I couldn't pick so I went with Oatmeal Chocolate Chip & Strawberry Poptart. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip- It was decent just missing something. I love oatmeal chocolate chip but I wasn't a huge fan, mb it needed more chocolate chip and prob mb a brown butter base with chocolate chunks probably would've made it better. Not horrible just not the best I've had. Strawberry Poptart- This cookie was thick and balanced well with sweetness. I loved the strawberry filling but it was a little undercooked. I loved the frosting and topping (yummy). I'm glad I got this one bc it was different and delicious. Just needed to be baked longer so I couldn't ate the whole thing. Beyond filling and 1/2 cookie was enough, it's def giving Crumbl Vegan Edition. Oh I forgot to mention, all their cookies are VEGAN and Plant Based such a bonus and you wouldn't noticed the difference but amazing it can catering to a wider audience. I love this!!!!! The staff was patient and helpful with my questions. Next time I'm trying the marshmallow oatmeal so I'll be back. read more

Located literally diagonally across the street from Goodies Frozen Custard in Old Town Alexandria you can find the newest cookie joint in town. Midnightreats has cracked the code to making these yummy morsels plant based without losing the flavor. I honestly forget that these were even vegan cookies because they were so dang good. I ordered a chocolate chip and brownie cookie. And immediately ate the chocolate chip cookie in the car before I left. I just couldn't help myself. I wanted to test out the thoughtfully placed reheating instructions on the box to see if the cookie would taste the same as coming straight from the oven. And to my surprise it still had that fresh bake taste and the ooey gooeyness of a brownie. So don't skimp by buying two cookies like I did, just go head and get the four pack box. You won't regret it. read more

As someone who lives near the Vienna location (soooo many visits there), it's nice to see the other location doing well! They have plant-based cookies that are always fantastic. They now have two different sizes, munchies and monster. I always opt for the monster ones, just because I will usually share my cookies with my boyfriend. I always love trying out their seasonal flavors, so I usually will get my classic chocolate chip and cinnamon roll ones along with their seasonals. My boyfriend always loves their chocolate chips. They also have drinks in here, and ice cream sandwiches! They have also partnered with some small businesses for freeze dried snacks too. The interior is always super clean and opening, and they have some fun walk decor/ art too. The staff are super nice too! read more
The cookies here are definitely big and they had some cool sounding flavors, but they're otherwise underwhelming as far as taste. Not a bad cookie, just not particularly memorable or something I'd go out of my way to try again. I didn't realize they were vegan though which is cool. read more
While on the east coast visiting family and friends, we were craving yummy dessert. We stopped by this place that my family said they've heard great things about. Diana (I believe that's her name) was so awesome! She took the time to explain everything to us and didn't rush us. The aroma of the place was soooo enticing. Delicious vegan cookies! We got the Munchies 8 pack for $16 and the Leftovers Monster Size 4 pack for $13. The regular munchie cookies are thin regular cookies, soft and chewy! They are so good. My favorite is the oatmeal chocolate chip and the red velvet. The leftover cookies are discounted from the day before. They're usually $5.50 each or 4 for $16. They are similar to Crumbl cookies. I loved the cinna-roll. The wildberry one was okay but would not repurchase. Cookies were warm and ready to eat but we had the pillowy ones a few hours later after dinner and it was so easy to heat up in our air fryer - just 5 min at 350 degrees. I preferred munchies size to the monster size but I like thin crispy cookies better than cake-y cookies in general. Would definitely recommend you check out MidnighTreats especially if you are dairy free or vegan! read more

We had no idea it was 100% plant based until we saw it on the website. We got the 9-cookie pack for a group of 16 year olds and they devoured most of it while wandering around Old Town for the day. These cookies are delicious and we would have never guessed they were plant based/vegan So glad we came by!! Cute place off the beaten path! read more
