The Holy Grail, the rare Lemon Custard! I find it once a decade since it disappeared from Baskin Robbins. Tastes like I remember!

Visited on the way home from MAGFest on a Sunday after having a delicious meal with friends at Daniel O'Connell's Irish Restaurant & Bar and was blown away they had my all time favorite ice cream, Lemon Custard! It was exactly how I remembered when I ordered as a pre teen at Baskin Robbins! The flavors here were intriguing and my friends all enjoyed their scoops. I got a lemon custard milk shake and could not have been more pleased. The staff were very friendly and eager to help, it felt like an old school pharmacy inside and I plan on returning as soon as possible.

Hey friends! Quick review: veryyyyyy good ice cream. Very creamy and not overly sweet. Definitely on the more affordable side. Customer service is consistently friendly! Hope you enjoy!

I love a good ice cream shop, and custard is a fav! There were so many good options, but I chose the vanilla custard with sprinkles on a cake cone. It was deliciously creamy. Nice way to cool off on a warm day!

The Creamery has been around for so long I'm sure it's older than me at this point. Truly a staple of Old Town Alexandria, this place is worth visiting if you crave ice cream or you are trying to kill time. From my visit, there was a line as soon as you enter the door but it went quickly. I would say about 10 or so minutes I was in and out with my scoops of ice cream ready to eat. I got Mint Chocolate Chip & Oreo; simply some of my favorites to get for any ice cream trip. It lived up to it's name, Creamy big scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone. I did feel colder as I ate it since the weather wasn't warm either. Check this place out if you like ice cream!

A classic! Love the face of the building, gives an old, classic feel. The line was slightly long but moved quickly. The ice cream is delicious!

My dog and I stopped in for some dairy free sorbet and it was delicious! They offered at least five different flavors, I went with peach and it was amazing. The gentlemen working this evening were really nice and they got me in and out. #HappyEating

My afternoon plans after a conference were supposed to involve ubering into DC to see the Smithsonian museums. When the Uber surge price was $110 one way I reconsidered my plans. I hopped on Instagram and an ad for the Potomac river ferry popped up. I checked out the site and it was only $18 for a 20 minute ferry ride to old town Alexandria. The boat was leaving in 10 minutes. I dashed out of my hotel room, following Google maps and located the big Ferris wheel and the dock. I made it just in time. After a scenic and beautiful ride to Alexandria I realized I didn't know what to do now that I was there! I took a walk by a beautiful park, discovered some quaint stores, and heard about King Street. I did a search and saw several ice cream options. I didn't want a big chain, or even a touristy chain, I wanted something unique. I walked into the creamery and knew this was the place! I saw their top few flavors listed, and asked the staff for help. I ended up going with coconut because it was hot and this looked unique. I had my ice cream... but then what? I walked down king street, took a right and saw a different park. I couldn't find a free bench. I kept walking and saw sailboats! This is exactly where ice cream should be enjoyed. It was delicious, and was the perfect treat on a day when things all worked out!

The flavors were what I've come to expect in this post Coldstone era. I'm very rarely impressed by sheer volume of flavor options anymore. But I will say that their salted caramel was quite tasty. They kept the line moving working purposefully and as a team behind the counter. I was with a friend that uses a scooter and I have to say that this establishment is not handicap friendly.

We ordered two cups of ice cream, each with two scoops. All 4 flavors were terrific. Price was reasonable. Service was flawless.

Sadly too much of anything ... you know how the saying goes, but ai digress. The gentleman server is always gracious, greets you with a smile, and he remembers you as a customer, so that's definitely a plus. The lines are always long, out front is mostly family oriented packed, so there's that. So many indicators that this is a place to stop at, after dinner, or a nice walk to the river. I usually get the boogie woogie, it's so scrumptious. Let's not forget the nostalgia down memory lane with the times piece objects advertising a trip to the drive in if any still existed. This place is cute, small, and memorable and really just perfect as it is. Last but not least... the music... that's really music. Dive in to this drive in... and see for yourself. I've chatted while waiting on line with folks visiting from out the country that has heard about this place to see what the hype is about, and I tell ya.., they had smiles on their faces.

The menu didn't seem to be as extensive as normal (see my pic), and I ordered a brownie sundae. It was $10 and didn't even come with a full brownie. There were a few chopped brownie bits which did not taste good on top of average ice cream. I didn't even finish the whole thing and took two bites and threw it out. For $10 I would have at least expected a whole brownie. The vanilla ice cream was nothing special. Cash only. No parking.

There was ample street parking around and we found a spot right in front of the door. Inside is a sweet tooth's dream. There were so many options including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, ice cream and even treats for the doggies. It was so hard to choose what to get but my friend and I settled on 2 tres leches flavors, Oreo and strawberry. They both were delicious! I also tasted a few ice cream samples that were also really good. So impressed that everything is homemade. Service was amazing! The owner was very friendly and helpful. He was patient as we tried to decide what to get. I will definitely be back for more sweet treats!

We walked in and were welcomed by a very nice employee. The place was small but cute. They had lots of sweets; ice cream, cupcakes, cookies, etc. We all ordered different types of cupcakes and shared the flavors once we got back to work. The flavors were good, my only complaint is that the ones with the cookies on top tasted a little stale, but other than that it was all great. A nice little shop that I hope to visit again.
